Pros: We had two couples, two rooms, for a weekend casino trip. This was SO much more interesting and less expensive than staying down the street on-site. Each room had a comfortable 4-post bed, clean bathroom, TV and automatic temperature controlled fireplace. Being a 260+ year-old home, it's rustic open beams and wood floors gave a "step back in time" feel. Hosts Ted and Carol made us feel right at home, and breakfast of baked apple, pancakes, sausage, eggs, coffee/juice was delightful. They also have refreshments available 24/7. This was our first trip, but the four of us already decided we'll definitely become regulars.
Cons: No complaints. My only regret is that we didn't notice the diary in every room where the past visitors recorded their paranormal experience. We heard stories at breakfast, where another couple filled us in and showed pictures they'd taken that captured floating orbs. Not that it made any difference to our wonderful time, but evidently the Inn is haunted, so keep that in mind if that sort of thing bothers you.
Pros: Ted & Caroll were just delighful. Would go back again. Evergthing was just perfect.
Cons: nothing to dislike
Enjoy your visit to Preston with a stay at Captain Grant's 1754. Guests will have free perks like breakfast, WiFi, and self parking.
Pros: very close to foxwoods and shuttle bus that takes you every hour. Clean and cozy rooms.
Pros: A mile from Foxwoods! Breakfast served until 11:40. Bar in hotel. Very large room and bathroom. Toiletries like makeup remover wipes in the bathroom ! Dunkin donuts across the street.
Cons: Small TV. We may have gotten a handicap room but we enjoyed the space.
Pros: Hot tube was nice but wish the pool was open
Cons: The pool was closed
Pros: The staff was noticeably friendlier and more efficient than some at other hotels. Check-in person was genuine. Bar and restaurant staff was also efficient and friendly. Room was comfortable; bathroom is small but efficient.
Pros: Shuttle service to the casino was extremely convenient.
Abbey's Lantern Hill Inn features a casino and a nightclub. Guests can keep active with onsite hiking/biking trails, bowling, and snowshoeing, and free perks include WiFi, self parking, and full breakfast daily between 8 AM and 10 AM. Free bike rentals and a terrace are other highlights, and rooms at this upscale bed & breakfast offer up nice touches like MP3 docks and premium bedding.
Pros: I like that you can hang around in your robe all day, even while eating lunch or dinner.
Cons: The spa was too packed! We had to wait to get into the sauna, steam room and the Jacuzzi because there was just too many people in them. Also the security people. I like that they have security, but I felt like it was way too much. I'm a mature woman and I felt like if I did one thing wrong, I would get kicked out of the place. A little uncomfortable.
Pros: beautiful historical hotel, very antique in feeling
Cons: wish the rate included breakfast
Adjacent to a golf course, The Spa at Norwich Inn is a great choice for a stay in Norwich. Guests can visit the spa to be pampered with deep-tissue massages, aromatherapy, or Ayurvedic treatments, and Kensingtons, one of 2 restaurants, serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There's an indoor pool and an outdoor pool, and rooms at this historic hotel offer flat-screen TVs and room service.
Cons: I thought the room looked clean but me and my husband both had bug bites on us as soon as we woke up
Grand Pequot Tower at Foxwoods features a casino and a nightclub. Guests can visit the spa to be pampered with massages, body wraps, or body scrubs, and Vue 24, one of 4 restaurants, serves dinner. An indoor pool and a fitness center are other highlights, and rooms offer up nice touches like pillowtop beds with premium linens.
Pros: Beautiful clean room. Amenities were great. Table games affordable.
Cons: Waited in line at least 45 minutes to check in - unacceptable.
Pros: Staff was nice, valet is very convenient.
Cons: Pillows were flat and not comfortable at all. Very expensive and looks nice when you walk in, but then they cheap out on the bedding and shower didn't work well. The tv was placed awkwardly at the foot of our bed. Foxwoods is HUGE... I think we walked 2 miles to get to a restaurant for dinner. Intense workout.
Pros: The staff and the casino
Cons: So noisy i could hear the club from my room on the 14th floor. And price was not worth it 681 for 2 nights now good
Pros: I always stay at the Fox Tower when visiting Foxwoods. I find there to be less children and family running around because it is not directly near the outlets . Love playing the slots here and black jack tables are not always super crowded . Great spare of the moment trip on a Thursday because hotel prices are not to bad .
Cons: Hotel check in is always so slow Everytime I go besides that Fox Tower is my favorite.
Pros: The spa is amazing
Cons: The restaurant selections were same. Not really healthy options
The wait for housekeeping and them not showing up was unacceptable at 500.00 a night.
Pros: The location
Cons: The lack of cleanliness on the beds ans furniture. Nobody wants to lay there head on other people's hair.
I was moved and the next room had stains on the couch and a bit less hair on the bed than the one before. My family member had the same issue in the other room we rented.
Pros: The hotel package we used for the weekend there was well worth it. Even though our time was spent roaming around and exploring as many places as possible it was nice to return back to the Fox Tower.
We also met a guy by the name of Michael H. Gaudreau and he is the Concierge Representative. Very awesome guy! He helped us out with our bus information and was very welcoming and calm during a stressful situation.
Cons: Time flies when you're having fun. :(
Pros: Great time!!!
Cons: I wanted to win more money lol....
Pros: We loved the view from our room on the 30th floor (top floor). If I were to do it again though I would reccomend future guests to ask for a "woods view". The bed was extremely comfortable & the bathroom was spacious complete with a glass enclosed shower and separate toilet area. Unless you were to use your Foxwoods points Kayak was a much better deal. It was better than the quoted nightly rate (w/ AAA discount applied) that I received from the hotel itself. Also the newest addition to the casino, Tanger Outlets, has an entrance very close by. It's to the right of the small food court & you can't miss the Broadway inspired marquee sign. If you or whoever you're traveling with are shoppers then this is definitely the place to visit. Stop by the Information counter first to inquire about their coupon books for additional $ savings if that interests you.
Cons: I didn't like the additional up charges from the property $19.49 per night extra & $100 (refundable) security deposit. It felt like I was getting nickel & dimed before I even got to my room. Then come to find out the pool on property is seasonal & the only other one on property is inside the GSpa located on a lower level. So I go there with my girlfriend & there's another charge; $15 a piece for day passes to access the spa ($25 for non hotel guests). I mean what the hell DOES the resort fee cover then? The only other point (for which I removed one star) is location. Fox Tower (formerly MGM Grand) is a hike from the main gambling options & action @ Foxwoods. Although there are slots, table games, multiple dining options & a nightclub right downstairs the real heart of the casino (in my opinion) is on the other side. It's a lengthy walk or grab the free shuttle that transports guests all over the property (every 10-15 minutes from hotel lobby). Overall though, we had a great stay at the property & the likes definitely outweigh the dislikes. Just good to know all the fine print & details before you get there so I figured I'd share.
Pros: Views, comfort and amenities
Cons: I asked for a non smoking room because I have a respiratory issue. Even though the room had no ashtrays and the sign in the hall said no smoking it was obviously a smoking room recently. There were no other rooms available. At checkout I complained and they acknowledged that the floor had recently been changed to non smoking. Unfortunately, I was sick for 3 days after checking out... If it wasn't for that, our stay was wonderful.
Pros: The G spa was great.
Cons: That it is ecpensive on the weekends

Pros: Staff was great, the shuttle to the Casino was outstanding. The shuttle driver was great!
Pros: The hotel is completely updated and renovated. The photos online are outdated which turned me off. But the rooms are gorgeous and modern now. I loved the free shuttle service to and from Mohegan Sun.
Cons: It's a little pricey but very excellent quality. There's no free breakfast which is a downside because there's a great lobby with a cafe.
Pros: The staff is wonderful.
Cons: I wish breakfast was served, but the staff personality made up for the lack of breakfast.
Pros: The staff was very nice and helpful. Room was very clean.
Cons: I would of liked a complimentary breakfast if possible. Even if only coffee and bagel/ pastry.
Pros: Clean, accessible, quiet. Great place to relax after the casino.
Cons: It wasn't promised, and I wasn't expecting this but a mini fridge/bottled water in the room would be a nice addition.
Pros: Employees were very nice and helpful. Loved having the shuttle to the casino. Rooms were clean and spacious.
Cons: Bistro closed too early.
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: Raggedy floor boards that squeaked when you walked and dingy towels.
Pros: Clean and convenient. Room was spacious. about 10-15 minutes from Mohegan Sun.
Pros: The hotel is directly off the highway. The place is so clean I was amazed. The staff at check in gave me the option to choose my room. I asked for a room with a balcony jokingly and got it. It is a non smoking hotel but with the balcony it's not an issue.
Pros: Location, friendly staff
Cons: Air conditioning was horrible. Very loud and unpredictable. Mattress moved like crazy.
Pros: Very friendly, helpful staff.
Cons: No hotel coffee in the lobby. Room coffee was horrible. Service was so slow in the retail coffee shop in the lobby we left to get our morning breakfast elsewhere.
Pros: The friendly staff.

Cons: Staff and guests were sketchy we did not even end up staying the night
Pros: Location close to 395 and route 2 is very helpful.
The Pantry restaurant next door had a GREAT breakfast.
Cons: This is 2.5 star at best. Rooms are not well insulated to sound, lobby is dated and not very inviting.
Desk staff is hard to find because they were out front.
We stayed to attend a family function. We'll have to find somewhere else. I will not pay money to stay there.
Cons: not enough staff, had to wait to check in. the line was five peolpe deep and slow moving.
Decor very poor. no decorations on walls, main entrance not customer friendly.
Breakfast was not ready. Had to wait for the person who knew how to cook the eggs...1 hour. poorly set up, needed more condiments, selections of cereals, no oatmeal...

Pros: I liked to be in the middle of everything. I like that there was room service! They also give you free bottled water during your stay in your room. All the staff that I encountered were fabulous and I liked the free valet parking.
Cons: The enormous amount of walking. Even though you're in the middle of just about everything it's a lot of walking. I was at the end room and it literally was a quarter mile walk just to get to the elevator. Then once you're out of the elevator it's another quarter mile to a half mile walk to the restaurants near the casinos. I also did not like that there are no microwaves in the rooms. It was explained to me that they created "problems".
