Redding Motels

Front staff was nice. Bed was comfortable. This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at! First, the lobby had a weird smell. The staff had to change our room # two times. The first room didnthave a TV that worked and a/c was broken. The second room door keylock was broken and we couldnt even get in. The third room only got one channel on the tv and wifi didnt work but the room was clean so we just stayed. the hotel is not secure. all side doors are unlocked from 6 am to 11pm. The pool area is filthy and not secure. Homeless woman was "getting cooled off". The pool itself was filthy. The hottub was in a small room and the screens in the room were missing so if you open the windows bugs come in. The hottub water was green and literally smelled like pond water! Obviously we didnt go in. The free breakfast was cold cereal. One bruised apple was in the fruit basket. I wish I could say I was exagerating but I am not. Dont stay here!!!!

The sheets on the bed were disgusting.. They were dirty and after driving 9 hours and getting there at 2 am my wife and I had to sleep on one bed with our kids.. All they did at the desk was was say sorry.

Clean, inexpensive and comfortable The front desk staff member who was assisting guests that night was completely incompetent. I had never seen a line for checkin at 11:30pm until I came to this motel. It took ~1hour to get checked in to the hotel.

When I arrived on a Saturday evening, the office was closed, locked, lights out. A handwritten note gave a phone number to call, but I had no cell phone. I found another place to stay.

They run your ID to stay here. Why is a hotel doing a background check for someone to stay a night in the hotel. Won't be staying at a hotel 6 ever again.

Nothing. This was a work trip that had been pre-paid as the employees traveling were not to pay for the motel. I had booked three rooms and paid for them through Kayak and when my team arrived at the motel we were not allowed to check in because one of the six people in the party did not have his I.D. After long discussions with the front desk and manager at the motel regarding their "policy" of not allowing anyone to stay in their motel who does not have an I.D. on their person we were forced to leave and make other motel arrangements in Redding. This was a great inconvenience to myself and my team and I will not be staying in any Motel 6 from here on out nor will I be using Kayak to reserve a room. We do a lot of traveling and this was the first time I have ever run into this problem. On the evaluation there was the following question: While traveling, you were a: solo traveler young couple mature couple family with young children family with older children group of friends None of these above answers applied to my situation. My group that was at the Motel was a "business group".

affordable. good location no coffee, has not been updated in approx. 30 years.

Good value for money

Manager tried to get extra $20 eventhough booking noted for four people and had given extra $ 10 for secondqueen bed in the room.

Friendly staff The mattress was the worst ever: lumpy and sagging. Very noisy from nearby highway.

Having a place to sleep overnight. Tha bed and pillows were great!! Room 225. Bathroom floor not up to bathtub. New bathtub stoppers. Cups in room for water. Kleenex would be nice.

Price was affordable for an overnight stop during a summer road trip. Our room had a faint smell of cigarette that became progressively stronger throughout the night. The hotel was sold out, so we didn't have the option to change rooms. A group in the room closest to the pool looked pretty sketchy. Possibly on drugs or dealing them. They were up talking loudly in the hall until 4AM, even after I asked them to be quiet. Not a pleasant place to stay with a young family. After loosing a night's sleep at the end of our road trip, I'd highly recommend shelling out a few extra bucks and staying elsewhere if you can.
