Great hotel and staff was nice. The heated pool was a big plus.
Pros. The pool was terrific. The staff was amazing. It was the perfect spot.
Pros. It was our first time to stay at the Holiday Inn Express. We normally stay at La Quinta because they are pet friendly. Since there was no La Quinta, I research other pet friendly hotels in the area. This one came up with the best ratings. When we arrived, I learned that they required a $20 per pet non-refundable fee. This was the highest priced hotel in the area and to add another $40 just because we have 2 well behaved small dogs was ridiculous. I have to say, that the desk clerk when we checked in was very nice, put us in a room to further accommodate our pets (close to the pet yard) and waived the pet fee due to my protests. He is a great asset to that hotel. The breakfast is great and much better than any La Quinta in which we have stayed. Obviously, the Holiday Inn Express is a bit more upscale from what I was used to with La Quinta. They don't need to add the pet deposit. I would switch quickly if that was the case. I hope Holiday Inn Express will consider the amount of business they could get if they would do so. This hotel was not very busy, and I suspect they could have done much better with a changed pet policy. Otherwise, a great hotel in an otherwise non-interesting part of Utah.
Cons. We were placed in a handicap room since it was closest to the dog area and not going to be used. The shower head kept sliding down making it almost impossible to take a shower without holding the shower wand. I put in a work order and they were going to get on it right away.
