room was big. I arrived with my 85 yr old Mother in a wheel chair and there was no one ( even if I wanted to pay extra) to help us with our luggage. However, they did make sure they charged the "resort daily fee" right away. There was no parking for us- handicapped or my sister who had another room in the facility. They had to park across the street in public parking! There were many parties and events which made the hotel a bit manic and loud. We didn't have appropriate bedding for the pull out couch in the suites. No blankets, sheets or even pillows. I called ahead of time to make sure if I was going to pay $275 a night they had handicap access to their two pools. They said yes definitely. We waited at the indoor pool, at 8pm ( the pool closed at 9p) for 20 minutes to get someone there to get the handicap access working. The outdoor pool handicap access never worked! I called the concierge to get the phone number of our next hotel near the airport in Chicago to make sure we had a handicapped room. They never offered to make the call for me and actually gave me the wrong number! Consequently, I arrived late that evening at the wrong hotel. If you stay at a basic hotel one cannot expect much more than a clean room and maybe internet. Paying $275 a night for a resort, I expect much much more.
Great amount of space. Having two bathrooms is a huge plus when staying with kids. The kids loved sleeping in the loft! Location was perfect for beach. Pools were great. Having indoor and outdoor pools was wonderful as sometimes it was too cold outside. Washer/Dryer was added bonus especially with wet bathing suits. Having kitchen was great so we could have food and drinks on hand and could cook dinner in when needed. The beds were not very comfortable. The front bed is too close to door. Everyone has to go to bed at same time as a single light or TV would keep others up. The elevator by our entrance door did not go up to our floor, so we had to carry our luggage up and down stairs.
We liked that the pool and hot tub was open until 11 pm. The firplace in the unit did not work so I called the front desk and they sent a maintenance person was at our door in 10 mins. We enjoyed our stay and didn't have any cons while our stay at the cove.
I liked the helpful girl at the desk checking in and out .I loved the spacious room and comfortable bed .I loved the dish washer and the fact that we could park at the resort all day even after checking out .The pool was fun too. It was a perfect mother daughter get-away!!!!!! I can not think of anything that I did not like!!!!!
Our room was just ok. The decor was dark and outdated, not inviting. Nice kitchenette and view. The walls are so thin that it's hard to fall asleep with kids running up and down the hallways. I really don't understand that parents let their kids do it at midnight. Not very clean, just wiped down. Still lots of tooth paste spots on the cabinet in the bathroom. Will try other places next time. Almost forgot to mention that the front desk lady was super nice and very helpful. Dark outdated decor Loud hallways (kids running up and down at late hours) Not very clean
The shops, the location of the Cove, nice clean park behind it. Paying to go to the Beech
The location was great. Our room was a little dated, but very clean. We enjoyed having our own kitchen and the Jacuzzi tub. The pool and activities were awesome. The drain in our tub was very slow. We did tell maintenance, but we saw no change.
Loved the location, easy walk to restaurants/shops/beach. Zero-depth kids' pool was great. Resort was not overcrowded. Nice view from balcony over the pools. Having a full kitchen and separate sitting area was really great, particularly with small children who still nap. The room layout was very nice for a family. Restaurant didn't offer breakfast, only on-site breakfast option was to buy a pastry from the coffee shop. Also, room was clean, but starting to show its age.
Fireplace and Kitchen carpet was dated and stained due to the solid color spots showed up very easily could here foot steps from the room above
Large rooms with nice amenities. Clean. Large resort with mutliple dining options, nice lobby area to gather, especially with young families. Great facilities with an indoor pool, arcade, and skiing. They did not seem prepared for the weekend rush. Our room, which was supposed to be ready by 4pm, was not ready until 5:30 and we had to be put in a different room. This seemed to be an issue with multiple guests. The next morning, the alarm went off at 5am, as housekeeping did not check the alarm to make sure it was off. For a short weekend stay, these things are dissappointing.
The rooms were very nice and the hotel was quiet. We ended up going to the water park so it was nice to come back to a hotel with more amenities than just fast food. The staff was extremely helpful.
The view of the lake
The pool and grounds were very nice. The fire pit in the embers lounge kept going out. We went for a couples massage but they don't have a sauna or hot tub that's coed afterwards for relaxing together. The signs that give directions around the property are sometimes confusing.
Beautiful grounds! The outdoor pool/patio looked fabulous as well but we didn't get to enjoy it as thew weather was a little cool. Rooms were a little worn, you can tell that they made an effort to update recently but if you looked closer you can tell that the remodels/cosmetic improvements were not done well and attention to detail was not there. There was not a whole lot of insulation between rooms as you could hear others in room next to you pretty clearly.
Grounds are beautiful Rooms are old and carpets were stained and dirty. The room didn't smell fresh and clean.
Carpets should be cleaned more frequently - large dirt spots on carpet in our room. Also, time to install new carpets, as current carpets are starting to fade.
The rooms were nice, clean and the bedding very comfortable. Skiing was convenient and perfect for the beginner skier. They were not prepared for the holiday check-in. Rooms were not ready till evening and it made it difficult for those with children. They offered "drinks" which were really not helpful when with a five year old. No attempt to give us a different level room, etc. Hallways and restaurants were not clean . The staff in the restaurants were very nice and accommodating but they were pricey for a family resort.
I like that every room has a kitchen and dining room, balcony, fireplace, as well as spacious bathrooms. Full size fridge to bring your own food. water park had enough to keep the kids busy. Great price.
I liked how October was a good time to go without a lot of people and lines, but I was disappointed at the end of the stay when we accidentally turned in our room keys (so we thought) and I handed the lady our rechargable game cards instead that look VERY similar. Our game cards already had points on them from us spending $ and we were just about to trade them in before we left and I quickly realized I mixed them up and went back and the lady at the desk said sorry you're out of luck we threw the cards in a bin and I don't know which one were yours. No apology or anything. So, my kids were pretty bummed they could not get a prize and I was disappointed that we played all those games, racked in a lot of points and then lost out. I will be emailing the resort. Also, the lady at the desk and the guy in the game room said this happens all the time so, you'd think they'd fix it by now. On the other hand, I loved the Restaurant Brisaggo at the Geneva Resort right down the road. Delicious. Pricey, but worth it. The rooms were spacious and we got to hear all the screams coming from the haunted hayrides-looked pretty creepy! FYI anyone visiting Lake Geneva, they stop selling alcohol at 9pm. We stopped at a Walmart to pick something up and didn't realize this coming from Chicago that we were out of luck for the night. Overall, it was a nice trip. I might go back depending on the reply I get from the resort after I email them.
My wife & I visited TRL&W so we could determine if this destination would be good for our tribe (children/spouses, grandchildren & us) to visit after Christmas in-lieu of buying presents for everyone. We all figured spending time together at a kid fun/friendly place would be really cool. Guess what? The place is great & we'll be planning our trip there.
Indoor water park and convenient trolley between the two resorts. Spa and fitness center is top notch. The daily family activities with festive decorations is what makes our annual visit for the holidays. Be prepared for longer than average wait time at restaurants. Food service and quality is average.
To far from down town. No pool, outside patio closed.
Beautiful room and view. Would visit again!
Room was great, quiet, loved the balcony. Would stay there again There was hair in the jacuzzi tub, room we were in was a bit dated, but still clean.
The facilities were gorgeous, although initially I chose this hotel based on it's proximity to downtown Lake Geneva, upon arrival and exploration of the resort I found that we could enjoy our entire weekend without even leaving! Two lake-view restaurants, a cozy lounge-bar, live music, a large indoor pool & hot tub, lots of lounge areas, not to mention the Avani spa. I will definitely be returning to this resort, as soon as possible!
The pool area was spotless! Towels available all the time! The room service staff were so friendly and helpful. My kids stated they wanted to come back again. They are usually the reason we travel, so if they say it was great, it usually is. The picture of the pool on your website is the spa pool that kids are not allowed to. That I felt was a little goofy! Family pool was good, but the pool a is major agenda when picking a place to stay! So I feel like that was false advertising.
The Abbey was just what I needed. There's so much going on there yet it's peaceful and calming. The staff was helpful, the resort was beautiful, and the room was amazing. They overbooked the type of room we had selected and comped us to a harbor view suite. It was amazing! I've decided that this trip must be repeated yearly. The only complaint I had was the cleanliness of the outside of the buildings. Many cob/spider webs with bugs/spiders attached. Not something that I want to fight off while relaxing on my balcony.
Great service always. Good location Beds were newer but hard as a rock. Had to pay $40 upcharge to get on harbor side .
Loved the family pool with fenced splash area and hourly games for kids. Kept finding pieces of glass in the bathroom. Looked like a glass was broke and the cleaning crew did not sweep well. Also was irked that the pool opened at 8am but the water features and fresh towels did not get turn on and put out until at least 9:30.

This location is perfect. The unit's patio looks out onto the golf course with a backdrop of the fall colors. The kitchen is well equipped and love the fireplace. Peaceful and yet easy trip to the downtown area, local eateries, even the grocery store (Redbox, where we rented a movie). There was an excellent Haunted Hayride at the stables! You can ride horses at any time. The spa is beyond fabulous with a rock wall, wonderful massage and delights to soothe. The main lodge has delightful entertainment in the lobby area which has floor to ceiling window panorama of the golf course, pond and fall foliage. There is seating grouped around the piano, the fireplace or windows. Excellent place to sit and enjoy the music and your beverage of choice. With a property owned trolley running from morning to night, you can reach the waterpark, spa, main lodge or even the ski slopes on your schedule with a simple call for pickup. All in all, this place has everything for excitement, fun, food or my favorite the peaceful beauty of the country as your personal postcard.
The location and activities to do on the site. Our first stay a couple of years ago, we had a jacuzzi and a fire place the approx. same time of year and price range. this room was ok, but half the space. I would like to know if next winter if we would be able to request a fire place.
The room set-up was horrible and completely different from the last time we stayed there. The resort services were not helpful either, refused to accommodate us and made us feel dumb for asking to change rooms.
The big room and excellent furnitures nothing, it was great
Beautiful area/grounds. No
Location for what we were there for. The hair dryer was broke in our room.
It was very cozy. A nice getaway I had to leave

I love the property it's beautiful setting on a golf course and private drive make you feel you are driving into the woods and luxury. The room is showing age with spots on the carpet and dents in the refrigerator door.
Thye suite was beautiful as well as the grounds. We were there only one night but want to come back of a extended stay!
Has a very nice lobby. Made you feel that this was a rather new luxury resort. However what you realize is that the rest of the property is old and tired. Rooms were clean and somewhat updated, but the same effort that was made in the lobby was not done elsewhere staff not the most intelligent. But nice enough.
The beds are crazy comfy. Everything was really clean. Breakfast was incredible!!!! And the pool was really pretty and super clean too!!! Staff was super nice. Everything was fantastic!!! It was a random hotel we picked in the area because we were in town to run the rugged maniac race but we will be returning to the area just for the hotel and to check out the area more :)
Husband loved the breakfasts...coffee was great! We liked it all...had stayed there before its renovation and were amazed by the wonderful changes...next time we will bring our bathing suits
Rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. No hot water one night. Had hot water rest of time.
Clean, attractive, comfortable place to stay.
The room was cleaner than any hotel room I've seen in recent memory. I made a point of commenting to the desk to make sure the person who cleaned my room was commended. Outstandingly comfortable bed and quality linens for the price. Tasteful, up to date decor. Excellent large spa pool, also clean.
Housekeeping did a beautiful job. I'm a housekeeper at a high end resort and have high standards, they met it with ease. Couldn't get an adjoining room at check in. I have a family of seven and had to book two rooms. Not ideal to be across the hall. Ended up using only one room but had to pay for both
Loved your helpful front desk staff, who gave us directions and told us about a state park where we could walk. Also, loved your breakfast lady. She was so friendly and helpful. Great people!
Beds were a little too hard for our backs!
The hotel is directly across the street from the lake, next to The Baker House, a few minutes of walking to the tourist downtown area. It's got everything you need! The decor was a bit outdated, and not in the charming way

quietest ac/heat fan I ever had in a hotel and the location
staff was very welcoming. hotel was newer or updated to make it very nice. the most important part of sleeping away from home is a comfortable bed. this room did not have one. the bed was so hard I could not sleep.
Clean room, comfortable beds. Room was pretty small but adequate.
The hotel seemed new and it was very neat. See below for a longer list.Ex:free Wi-Fi was only available for Hilton Honors members and only if they booked directly! They would give you 'sub par' Wi-Fi for free, but to actually be able to get a restaurant's menu online, i.e.,you had to pay $4.95.

The room was very clean. They are small but cozy. The pool was great. Breakfast was awesome. The woman at the front desk was very unprofessional. She seemed very put off by being interrupted to help guests. The noise factor was another issue. Kids running down the halls at 2 am unattended was enough for me to not stay on a weekend.
The room was tidy and cozy, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room was much smaller than I imagined it would be.
It was clean. The complimentary breakfast was good. The room given to us was way too small. It was the smallest room I have ever seen in a hotel. On our request they changed it the second day but we could hardly get any sleep on day one with two little kids.
Good layout, large rooms Parking is mildly limited, breakfast was mediocre
This hotel is a perfect location! The hotel is right next to the train tracks but Burlington trains have quiet zones so no Horns! Also, the trains wheels have a rubber coating so you don't even here the steel on steel wheels like regular trains.
Breakfast offered plenty of choices. Bed was very comfortable.
The room was really clean, and the bed was comfortable. Staff was very personable and answered all my questions. It was 3 min. From the beach and activities! Coffee was awesome. Would stay there again
It was clean
