Hotel Zephyr is conveniently located in the Fisherman’s Wharf district on San Francisco Bay. It’s a close three-minute walk to Pier 41, and it’s only five short miles from the Golden Gate Bridge. Given its location, it is fitting that the hotel features a nautical theme throughout the property.
The rooms are well-lit and airy, giving guests the sense of freedom they would feel if they were on a seafaring ship. There are minifridges, coffee makers and smart TVs to round out the experience. Some of the rooms feature balconies on which guests can relax, enjoy the free Wi-Fi and the amazing scenery. The bay lies below, as does the wharf. There are also suites with both one and two bedrooms and these have windows and sitting areas that go from the floor to the ceiling, creating a sense of size that is at once larger than life and comforting.
The hotel has a gym so guests can keep in shape during their stay. When it’s time to just hang out, the hotel’s lounge is the spot. It features contemporary design elements. Guests can head there for a game of pool or they can slip outside to the terrace and enjoy the fire pits and sculptures that decorate the area.
For eats, the Fire and Brew Restaurant offers good food for a variety of palates, and there is a business center as well.
Hotel Zephyr is a nice place to both relax and remain productive while enjoying the amenities.

Maritime themed. Large game room. Outdoor fire pit for smores. Next to ihop. Fisherman 's Wharf and Pier 39 within walking distance. Our grandkids, 13 and 8 years old, had a blast.
Pros. Awesome location, staff was very friendly
Cons. Check in was at 4 I got there at 2 and asked for early check in they said would contact me if room became available early we went on with our day 530 comes around still no call but figured room should be ready we go to check in and they clearly don’t have a room for me they’re calling asking for multiple rooms and none of them are clean after about 10 minutes they say they have a room for me. Once we got to room can clearly tell it was not fully cleaned, the shower had hair in it the shower curtain inner liner was missing . There were no trash bags in the room so couldn’t tidy up. The parking lot was also a party scene people hanging out and then bottles of alcohol all over floor.
Pros. Great location, decent price for the area.
Cons. We paid extra for a king size bed and were put into a double size MURPHY bed! What a joke, we were so uncomfortable all night and the bed sloped downward toward the head of the bed so the blood was rushing to our head while we slept. Worst night of sleep ever and they had overbooked their hotel so they couldn't move us! I will not be staying there again!
Pros. Short walk to the pier and other attractions. Near grocery store and the game room has family style tables so you can bring food in rather than dine out if you’re with a group.
Cons. 1. $$ To park 2. Need to step up their maintenance/housekeeping practices 3. Courtyard is a great idea but needs a refresh.
Pros. This place is perfect!! Close to everything. When I say close I mean across the street from Pier 39. Best hotel in SF!
Cons. Decor and location!!!
Pros. Hotel was nice. Location good
Cons. My car was broken into in their locked parking garage. Got parking garage fee refunded. That was the extent of their apology.
Pros. Our stay at Hotel Zephyr was great! We booked a King Bed w/ balcony room for two nights and had absolutely no complains! Our balcony was waterfront and faced the fisherman's wharf as well as had a direct view of Alcatraz. The room was very clean, spacious, and had all the amenities we needed. The staff at the hotel were all very helpful as well as provided us with coupons for restaurants and activities. We really enjoyed the location and our entire stay at Hotel Zephyr.
Cons. There really weren't hardly any complains about hotel Zephyr minus a few small ammenities. We would've liked to have had a microwave in our room but it wasn't really an inconvenience anyhow. The gym was a little small and could've used some more equipment but again, wasn't a big inconvenience at all.
Pros. Great location, very cool theme throughout the hotel, lots of things to do in the hotel.
Cons. Staff was hit or miss. Although the valets were very friendly, they weren't readily available.
Pros. Location, location, location. Clean, friendly staff, cool fire pit area. Hot Spud right around the corner.
Cons. Unknowingly, we asked for a view room. We got a great room with swell views of the bay, piers, etc. However, that meant we were just across from the VERY loud street performers. And the idiots flooring their cars at 1 a.m. with modified mufflers. I suggest certainly staying at this hotel, but ask for an inside room.
