Big room, mediocre food
For being snack dab in the middle of downtown and over 100 years old, the room was very spacious, and the bed was comfortable
I ordered room service for dinner and had the breakfast buffet in Garden Court - both were decent but definitely below my expectations of what a luxury hotel can deliver in terms of quality & creativity on the menu.
Luxurious, great staff and great location.
I tend to like more modern hotels but this place was very classy.
We liked EVERYTHING!!!! Gorgeous hotel- beautifully decorated, the epitome of class and style. Staff was lovely. Room was clean and the beds and linens made for the most comfortable sleep. Pool was beautiful and food was delicious!!!
Peaceful Beautiful Hotel
This is a great hotel, a retreat from the noise and business of San Francisco. It is a beautiful gentle well appointed place to stay. The peace and calm that pervades every part of this hotel seeps into your heart. You relax as soon as you walk in the door. The beds are comfortable, beautiful pillows, well appointed rooms. Great food and served impeccably.
Loved the central location and the historical ambiance of the hotel.
Nice to stay in a piece of history. Very convenient location for MUNI/BART. Rooms appointments very nice, beds great. Main lobby atrium is stunning. Well-trained, personable staff.
Coffee/wifi in room would be nice, but that's unfortunately the nature of the beast (Hol Inn Express does that, not most upscale). I went with two hyperactive twin boys, and though not an ideal hotel for kids in most ways, the staff was very patient and accommodating with them. I'd say I wish it were a better value, but really next to what else what available in the area it was a better bang for the buck than most.
Location Bathrobes, slippers, and WATER included wow! Portable led lighted mirror. So convenient. Staff was really attentive to our needs and accommodating Very clean Booked a double bed superior room through AMOMA.com and they offered a king superior at the front desk. Definitely appreciated that. Spacious 2 ice vending machines on every floor
Money to throw away
Really cool amenities, close to everything you need.Room service was nice and really cool views.
I didn't like that after driving two hours up to SF,having reserved my room almost a week in advance they informed me my room was not ready, then couldn't give me an answer as to why or how long it would take to clean.Luckily friends who were getting married in the city had their room so we stayed there and waited almost an hour and a half until they called me to tell me it was finally ready then didn't offer much to try and make the situation better
Decor, comfort and staff interactions.
I did not sleep all night due to an event at the hotel where people were slamming doors and talking in the halls all night.
Fantastic SF landmark...we never left the Hotel.
The hotel is stunning and the staff is so nice. I loved the history and the elegance of the place.
I liked everything.
I liked the overall appearance - the old world charm with today's amenities - great pool! the servic
