Pros: I liked the facilities that La Concha offers for their guests as well as the modern décor. The location was superb and in close vicinity to Old San Juan, Isla Verde, and the airport. Ease to get around and shop around a bit , although shopping is somewhat limited. The room was clean and the staff very accommodating to our requests. The hotel had three pools, however the main pool was smaller than what's shown in the marketing materials. The infinity pool was great, only wished that it would have been larger. I would definitely say that the ocean view was a great bonus. Overall it was a very good experience at La Concha
Cons: The beds and pillows were uncomfortable.

Pros: the location is beautiful
Cons: We didn't actually get to staty at La Concha. When we arrived at the hotel from the airport, the hotel had overbooked. We were quite disapointed as the property looked beautiful. However, there was no confusion or fuss. The hotel knew what they did and I don't know why we were flagged as one of the "overbooked". we arrived about 7 pm. It may be we were a one nighter. However, they paid for a taxi and put us in the marriott down the street and comped the marriot room. It was all set up for us and we were whisked away So we didn't have to pay for the hotel night. The hotel they put us in was not as luxury as the La Concha (4 star vs 5 star) but it was nice and the Marriot folks at the San Juan Marriot were SUPER friendly and tried to do EVERYTHING they could to make us welcome and make it up to us with room upgrades, free drinks, dinner recommendations. So we felt adequately compensated. In the morning we walked down the beach from the Marriot to the La Concha (they said we were welcome to use the La Concha facilities) but ended up not using the pool, just having brunch at the hotel and it was lovely.

Pros: The staff is extremely friendly and helpful! The breakfast buffet is super yummy and the drinks at the bar with Juan are so good! He genuinely cares about people and making quality drinks! Pool & beach access is amazing.
Cons: The only thing that could’ve been better was perhaps the ac in the room. We had a suite so at times it felt a little warm.

Pros: All Staff members we met were friendly and eager to please. The proximity to the beach, restaurants, and Old San Juan makes it an ideal location.
Cons: The lobby bathrooms were not always clean or had enough supplies. Pool areas need more attention in reference to being cleaned more often, such as dirty towels and plates and cups of food and beverage.

Pros: Modern look that is on the beach with pools and in a nice area. Every part of the hotel was clean including the gym and toilets. The restaurants were also excellent with good choices and healthy options available. Overall awesome and would definitely recommend this luxurious hotel.
Cons: Resort fees. I feel that the hotel is priced right and that there is no reason to tack on resort fees. Drinks a little pricey

Pros: Vibrant, entertaining but also relaxing and luxurious. Staff was friendly, helpful and courteous. The facility was clean, never noticed bathroom soap, towels, tissue empty or a mess. Room was a suite with ample space, balcony and kitchenette. It seemed much more suited to adults only but there were families. Location was great, right on the beach. Bikes were available which we took into Old San Juan. I would stay here again and again with adults.
Cons: On occasion, I felt that the music was too loud (ack! I'm getting old!) But that was really it.

Pros: hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. hotel was right on the water, great drinks and food. Located in a nice area to walk around at any time of the day. Close to shopping, and local restaurants. Hotel guests were a mix of families, couples, business, and groups of friends. There was an adult only pool as well as 3 others. Will definitely be going back and staying here!

Pros: I loved the 3 different pool options. We used the adult pool the entire time, which is much quieter and has a beautiful infinity pool overlooking the ocean. Most staff were so friendly and helpful. Menu is pretty reasonable and prices are comparable to surrounding area, except quality is much much better. Tuna salad was my favorite thing by far.
Cons: Mixed drinks were weak and pricey. Rules weren't always enforced. Example, there was a 5 year old at the adult pool for about 2 hours until someone finally noticed. We were also told we couldn't bring our own mixed drinks to the pool, yet others would blatantly have a 6 pack from cvs out in the open. Hallways were a little dingy.

Pros: The staff were brilliant, extremely helpful and attentive. The porter staff were extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The front of house was professional and again could not do enough to help. the room was clean and tidy and the facilities excellent. Given I was also working due to plane delays, the addition of fast internet made working extremely easy. The restaurant was also excellent and the location of the hotel perfect, within easy reach of both golden sands and pools with 2 jacuzzis.
Cons: After my stay in the Marriott Stellaris (sister hotel to La Concha) about 1/4 mile away I was not a fan. This hotel shows them how it should be done. I can't rate either casino as I don't gamble but aside from that I could not fault La Concha Renaissance and would happily go again. I would not return to the Stellaris though.

8.2
Pros: Beautiful hotel with open lobby and modern clean feeling.
Cons: Even though the reservation was a prepaid, I still got hosed with a resort fee. A couple of bottles of water and a beach chair shouldn't cost 25 bucks. Got the runaround as to why my Marriott status was worth nothing at this resort property.

9.1
Pros: Well maintained despite not being a new resort; Modern, comfortable and clean rooms; Large staff and very friendly and accommodating; Adult pool! It was the most quiet and least congested area. Not sure some people knew it was there. If you like resorts and don't mind the crowds you will enjoy this hotel.
Cons: Party-like atmosphere on the weekend- if that's what you want you will have a great time. Personally, I didn't like the music on the beach. Also, the beach is fairly narrow and the main beach area and pool area are both crowded with chairs very close to one another. I prefer more space and don't want to be sitting an inch away from a total stranger. It can be tough to find the sun in the afternoon when the hotel casts a shadow on the beach. Scope out a good spot early.

Pros: The hotel is run like a well oiled machine. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. They always recognize you when entering or leaving the hotel. The lobby is well air conditioned, clean with a touch of elegance. I couldn't have asked for a better room. Large, clean, beautiful view of the ocean and pool area below. I did not eat at any of the restaurants but I would think they are good based on the hotel overall. If you valet your car you can scan the parking ticket on your smart phone and the car will be waiting for you when get downstairs. I will definitely stay at this hotel again.
Cons: I can not say anything bad about this hotel. Excellent, excellent, excellent!

Pros: Location is amazing. Condado area is vibrant. Great restaurants, great sightseeing.
Cons: Our room had roaches and after getting a minor upgrade, things went downhill. In the fine print, breakfast package excluded my 12 year old daughter, which put us in a weird place because we were then forced to pay for the overpriced breakfast or take her somewhere to eat. The hotel muddled up our booking. We received wrong expectations about our room, which ended up Being small and cramped. Hotel management isn't empowered to take care of customers and we received an "it-is-what-it-is" attitude from the staff. After asking, they said that for a discounted fee, we could upgrade. The total amount meant $250 out of pocket which we couldn't do. This was even after letting them know it was our first time staying there and we were in town to celebrate my brother in law's birthday. The hotel restaurant's food was bland and the quality is not 4 star level. Chefs couldn't even get a boiled egg right for our 18-month old. Every morning, we had to request it at least twice. Room service was poor and slow: a simple order of chicken tenders with ice cream jumped from $12 to $23, between tax and the high delivery fee. To make things worse, after almost an hour, the order arrived with missing silverware and napkins for which we had to call again. Was so let down by this experience. Go to La Concha a block down. The few extra dollars will be well worth it.

Pros: There is definitely plenty to do right at the resort, but if you're feeling a little adventurous you can trek up to Old San Juan for beautiful sight seeing. Pros: Service from the staff was excellent. View from our room was fantastic. Room and grounds were kept very clean. Beach was lovely and kept clean. We really enjoyed our stay and would like to return.
Cons: A little pricey. Also someone was smoking on their balcony. We could not sit on our balcony one evening because of the smokers. I was told that the hotel policy allows smoking on the balconies as long as their balcony door remains shut. That may be fine to keep smoke out of the room but it doesn't help guests in nearby rooms. Smoking should not be allowed anywhere on the grounds, including balconies.

Pros: Great location for shopping and dining along the Ashford strip. The beach outside the hotel was great, plenty of chairs and umbrellas provided by staff. Pool area very nice with swim up bar.
Cons: The music at the check in area is unbearably loud. My keys didn't work and I had to go back to check in three times, which was annoying, but they did upgrade my view to compensate for the trouble which was nice.

I am a young doctor and went with my girlfriend and did extensive research on best water front resorts and this is the one because of the pool and service. Pros: Updated, modern, clean room. Nice large bathroom. Bed is comfortable.
Cons: Shouldn't have to pay for premium wifi. The tv channels were all blurry. Water pressure was terrible. Breakfast choices were only overpriced restaurants that were terrible. Don't recommend eating anywhere on the hilton grounds. I arrived early and was told I would be called or texted when a room was available. I never was and was watching the front desk as others checked in. Not good customer service. The a/c is motion activated so it won't keep the room cold if there isn't movement which sucks when you come in from the hot humidity of San Juan and it wouldn't cool down as much as the thermostat said it was set to. The room was hot for me. There is no noise buffering between the walls I heard conversations and music playing in the next room or as people walked down the hallway.

Pros: Let me start by saying that I am the type of person that reads negative reviews and most of the time ignores them because I feel some people can never be happy or they paid the price of a 2 star resort and expected services and amenities of a 6 star resort, that is not the situation with me and the Caribe Hilton. Also, I am not a newbie when it comes to travel. I cannot possibly fathom why someone would stay at this resort instead of going to an all inclusive in Aruba, Jamaica, River is Maya, etc... an all inclusive would be less than half the cost when considering food and drink (no exaggeration). Let me put it this way, if the Caribe Hilton was an all inclusive, it would be my least favorite all the resorts that I've been to but it is not all inclusive and you get price gouged with food and drink. Way, way, way too expensive for the value. You are not within walking distance to anything worth noting. Some will tell you that Old San Juan is within walking distance, that's bullcrap, unless you are a person that runs a couple miles every day it is not. It is close to a half hour walk. Who the hell wants to walk a half hour in 86 degree weather then walk up and down the hilly streets of Old San Juan all day then walk another half hour back to the hotel? The city did put in an awesome bicycle path so I guess you could do that, we didn't want to have to worry about them getting stolen while we shopping or eating. I enjoyed Old San Juan but if I wanted to visit again, it would be by a shore excursion while on a cruise. Our room was nice and clean. There were not that many people at the resort, wonder why, but you still couldn't get a good seat at the pool or Lagoon. The pools were small and freshwater and I worried because they didn't have chlorine the type of germs and things that were in it. The hotel was kind enough to put free fruit flavored water out for a few hours a day that ranged from refreshing to disgusting depending on the type of fruit. There was a wedding held there the Saturday we were there. An entire section of the beach was closed down and all the hammocks were removed because of the wedding. The hammocks were one of few things i enjoyed. At the end of the wedding, sometime between midnight and 1AM, someone decided to light off fireworks which I typically enjoy but not being woke out off a sound sleep and not going off feet from my room's balcony. The staff were friendly and helpful except when I was asked at checkout if I had a nice stay and I said not really, the girl just smiled and handed me my check. That was the icing on the cake for me, not only would I never stay at this resort again I would never stay at a Hilton again. For the grande finale, this hotel charges you a hotel fee on top of quoted price AND it is not cheap. Not sure if this is legal, but they know you can't do anything but gripe and moan because it isn't like you can walk to the hotel next door. Bottom line is if you are not concerned about money it's great

Pros: The hotel lobby is beautiful. The hotel has everrything you need and service was great. Staff was extremely helpful and very nice from check in to check out.
Cons: Some areas need repair. Example, the pool is beautiful, but the grout has black stuff on it and chipped. Also, we had issues with card for garage and hotel room. Twice, we were stuck at exit gate of garage. We had to park car and go to cashier and hotel front desk to sync the cards.
