Pros: Very comfortable bed, bathtub seats two, service is top notch! The property is beautiful
Cons: I was there a year ago and the hotel was pristine! Now I see the hotel not being cared for. Paint chipping, vents in my room were dusty & rusted. Also, there were too many young children for my liking. Housekeeping was attentive to my requests but not thorough in cleaning. Dusty lamp, bathtub was dirty. The small things make all the difference. I also wish the property had more night time entertainment.

Pros: Great attention from the staff. The room was amazing along with the view. It was in close walking proximity to a lot of stores. Only 15 minutes from old San Juan.

Cons: Service at pool side restaurant slow and poor. Staff not attentive and had to leave table to ask for serviice. This happened at breakfast and lunch. Had a bad experience with quality of food served and staff did not offer to correct. Once food served waiter never came back to table to see if I needed anything. Cons: I arrived at 3:40 pm and was told that the room I booked is not available. The front desk staff guaranteed that it would be ready by 4pm, but when I came back at 4:06pm I was told again the room is not ready. I finally checked in by 5pm and nobody explained why. They gave me two key cards and one doesn't work which kept me out of the room when I came back from swimming the other day. It is the most terrible experience that I have and I definitely don't recommend this hotel

Pros: Service was good, but disorganized. Sundeck was nice. Staff was friendly whenever you saw them.
Cons: Our room had a musty odor and did not smell clean. There's a big variation in rooms. We upgraded to an "Oceanview" room - but looked out onto a roof and an abandoned building with the ocean tucked to the right. When I complained, they said their "Oceanfront" rooms are all suites and cost $200 more a night. What? So not worth it! If I was to return to Puerto Rico, I'd stay at La Concha and eat at Pinkys everyday. Vanderbilt was so not worth it.

Pros: Nice bar and location
Cons: Rooms are ridiculous small. Cleaning of rooms can happen until 9pm and was never done before 6pm for us. Gym has lots of cardio equipment but little other machines. Bar tender at wine bar was not aware how to make a Gin & tonic!

Pros: The exceptional service and accommodations. Twice a day housekeeping, 24 hours pool areas, and peace and quiet. I arrived on my birthday; the staff presented me with a complimentary bottle of champagne along with a card in my bedroom. The room was upgraded to include a balcony. The staff was friendly and for the most attentive to your needs. The beach is a few steps away. The hotel is gorgeous! The hotel was not overstimulating with too many people nor the pool/hot tub areas.
Cons: The food in the hotel restaurants was expensive with small portions. The drinks were creative and just okay.

Pros: The staff were very accommodating and friendly. Pools were lovely and clean (slightly chilly for my taste). Adults only area was nice. Only tried the patio restaurant which was very good, but pricey ($50 for french toast, OJ, single egg and sausage).
Cons: Room air conditioner had issues. Maintenance was unable to solve the issue and did not notify front desk that the issue was not fixed.

Pros: At the end of the day, the service provided by this hotel and its excellent staff is what takes it to the next level. From the moment you arrive, they make sure that everything is taken care of for you and then some, to ensure that you enjoy your leisure time to the maximum. Room Service, Pool Service, Concierge, in-house restaurants...everything was spectacular.
Cons: No beach access

Pros: Our overall stay was amazing. The food and drinks were a bit costly, but it is a five star resort. The staff were helpful, friendly and the service was outstanding. Our tour guide stated " once you stay at the Vanderbilt, you will not stay anywhere else". My fiancé and I agree!

Pros: Beautiful room - even the pull out couch was extremely comfortable - memory foam mattress! The lobby staff (registration, concierge, bell hop, etc) was very attentive and friendly. The hotel has a very classic feel of old luxury. I would definitely stay there again!
Cons: The beach was actually over at the neighboring hotel, they said we would have full service at their beach but every time we went, they were "out" of umbrellas on the Vanderbilt side of the beach. We counted and they only had about 12 umbrellas in total for Vanderbilt guests which is ridiculous! Also the are designated for Vanderbilt is over in the corner without a direct view of the ocean. I was disappointed.

Cons: Poor staff. Very stuffy. Don't use Uber as the staff will ask you to have the Uber pick you up at the curb vs the hotel entrance.

Pros: The hotel itself is very pretty and historical.
Cons: The pools are tiny, the service is subpar, housekeeping was always late and turndown service was spotty at best. The receptionists weren't helpful at all, in fact it felt like they were doing us a favor every time we had questions. The service at the pool often took up to 45 minutes to come by and it felt like they were purposely not making eye contact in order to slow things down even more. Not recommended.

Pros: Excellent location, perfect boutique beach hotel, hip, clean rooms. The staff is the highlight though, not bothersome but ready and interested in talking to you and have great advice on what to do for your stay.

Pros: The space was trendy and appealing, the staff was very friendly and Josie gave great recommendations of things to do. We went to the sister property to use their beach facilities which were very nice, accommodating, and not too far of a walk, but they have an amazing pool/pool area if you don't want to take the walk.
Cons: The room was EXTREMELY cold. The temp stayed around 64-66 the entire time which for both of us was unbearable. The first 2 days we tried adjusting the air ourselves, eventually we had to have maintenance come up who tried to get the air down then off to no avail. We eventually had to have it shut off from the main system but thank goodness we had a balcony and suite room so we could close off the bedroom and open the balcony door to warm things up.

Pros: I liked the facilities that La Concha offers for their guests as well as the modern décor. The location was superb and in close vicinity to Old San Juan, Isla Verde, and the airport. Ease to get around and shop around a bit , although shopping is somewhat limited. The room was clean and the staff very accommodating to our requests. The hotel had three pools, however the main pool was smaller than what's shown in the marketing materials. The infinity pool was great, only wished that it would have been larger. I would definitely say that the ocean view was a great bonus. Overall it was a very good experience at La Concha
Cons: The beds and pillows were uncomfortable.

Pros: the location is beautiful
Cons: We didn't actually get to staty at La Concha. When we arrived at the hotel from the airport, the hotel had overbooked. We were quite disapointed as the property looked beautiful. However, there was no confusion or fuss. The hotel knew what they did and I don't know why we were flagged as one of the "overbooked". we arrived about 7 pm. It may be we were a one nighter. However, they paid for a taxi and put us in the marriott down the street and comped the marriot room. It was all set up for us and we were whisked away So we didn't have to pay for the hotel night. The hotel they put us in was not as luxury as the La Concha (4 star vs 5 star) but it was nice and the Marriot folks at the San Juan Marriot were SUPER friendly and tried to do EVERYTHING they could to make us welcome and make it up to us with room upgrades, free drinks, dinner recommendations. So we felt adequately compensated. In the morning we walked down the beach from the Marriot to the La Concha (they said we were welcome to use the La Concha facilities) but ended up not using the pool, just having brunch at the hotel and it was lovely.

Pros: All Staff members we met were friendly and eager to please. The proximity to the beach, restaurants, and Old San Juan makes it an ideal location.

Pros: Modern look that is on the beach with pools and in a nice area. Every part of the hotel was clean including the gym and toilets. The restaurants were also excellent with good choices and healthy options available. Overall awesome and would definitely recommend this luxurious hotel.
Cons: Resort fees. I feel that the hotel is priced right and that there is no reason to tack on resort fees. Drinks a little pricey

Pros: Vibrant, entertaining but also relaxing and luxurious. Staff was friendly, helpful and courteous. The facility was clean, never noticed bathroom soap, towels, tissue empty or a mess. Room was a suite with ample space, balcony and kitchenette. It seemed much more suited to adults only but there were families. Location was great, right on the beach. Bikes were available which we took into Old San Juan. I would stay here again and again with adults.
Cons: On occasion, I felt that the music was too loud (ack! I'm getting old!) But that was really it.

Pros: hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. hotel was right on the water, great drinks and food. Located in a nice area to walk around at any time of the day. Close to shopping, and local restaurants. Hotel guests were a mix of families, couples, business, and groups of friends. There was an adult only pool as well as 3 others. Will definitely be going back and staying here!

Pros: I loved the 3 different pool options. We used the adult pool the entire time, which is much quieter and has a beautiful infinity pool overlooking the ocean. Most staff were so friendly and helpful. Menu is pretty reasonable and prices are comparable to surrounding area, except quality is much much better. Tuna salad was my favorite thing by far.
Cons: Mixed drinks were weak and pricey. Rules weren't always enforced. Example, there was a 5 year old at the adult pool for about 2 hours until someone finally noticed. We were also told we couldn't bring our own mixed drinks to the pool, yet others would blatantly have a 6 pack from cvs out in the open. Hallways were a little dingy.

Pros: The staff were brilliant, extremely helpful and attentive. The porter staff were extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The front of house was professional and again could not do enough to help. the room was clean and tidy and the facilities excellent. Given I was also working due to plane delays, the addition of fast internet made working extremely easy. The restaurant was also excellent and the location of the hotel perfect, within easy reach of both golden sands and pools with 2 jacuzzis.
Cons: After my stay in the Marriott Stellaris (sister hotel to La Concha) about 1/4 mile away I was not a fan. This hotel shows them how it should be done. I can't rate either casino as I don't gamble but aside from that I could not fault La Concha Renaissance and would happily go again. I would not return to the Stellaris though.

8.2
Pros: Beautiful hotel with open lobby and modern clean feeling.
Cons: Even though the reservation was a prepaid, I still got hosed with a resort fee. A couple of bottles of water and a beach chair shouldn't cost 25 bucks. Got the runaround as to why my Marriott status was worth nothing at this resort property.

9.1
Pros: Well maintained despite not being a new resort; Modern, comfortable and clean rooms; Large staff and very friendly and accommodating; Adult pool! It was the most quiet and least congested area. Not sure some people knew it was there. If you like resorts and don't mind the crowds you will enjoy this hotel.
Cons: Party-like atmosphere on the weekend- if that's what you want you will have a great time. Personally, I didn't like the music on the beach. Also, the beach is fairly narrow and the main beach area and pool area are both crowded with chairs very close to one another. I prefer more space and don't want to be sitting an inch away from a total stranger. It can be tough to find the sun in the afternoon when the hotel casts a shadow on the beach. Scope out a good spot early.

Pros: The Olive Boutique Hotel was absolutely perfect for a solo traveler or couple staying in the Condado area of Puerto Rico. The location was great. It is situated just off of Ashford Avenue where all the hustle and bustle is, BUT remains relatively quiet because of its juxtaposition. The staff was awesome and so friendly. They really got to know you as a guest in the hotel and they were all so helpful with tips and finding your way around the island. I went solo for a birthday vacation and my stay was beyond wonderful. My room was comfy, cozy, and gorgeous. I received little treats everyday and even a bottle of champagne to celebrate my birthday! Pros: I like that is in a good area , not bad at all. Some convenience places to eat and buy simple things. Close walking to some local and hotel beaches. The hotel staff are very friendly and helped me out in every question or need I had. They solved the problem when I first arrive due to they gave me a room that had very bad smell of humidity. I was happy they found one Avalos room. This a small hotel that I recommend for a couple or just Adult Solo trip. Not for a family. Hallways in every floor need ventilation, it feels dry and some smell not bad but to a closed space smell. but in overall rate is a good hotel towards excellent for the price, WIFI Very good and having signal everywhere in the hotel. Quiet enough for resting. Bathroom nice and big, shower very good pressure. I would use this hotel for my solo trip but for the overall, I would suggest not to pay more than a $90.0 per night.
Cons: I don't watch TV but I heard people complaint about problems with TV, until I had the experience my TV lost signal. I did not request to get it fixed because I expent my time outside the hotel. Bath tube drain clogged while showering so water was filling up above your feet. Parking not recommended... Very tiny space for all cars and every time you want to use the car same person at the front desk had to move and re park the other cars, while some one is waiting at the front desk until this person finish to accommodate the cars again. Don't get me wrong... They were always helpful, friendly and always willing to help you. Bad quality of customer service in the restaurant in front the hotel... and pricy.. But better go to other areas. Curtains in the room are too smal of the size of the window..so light comes through all night and doesn't keep the room dark. No door tags for RESTING /DO NOT DISTURB.. So cleaning service (very nice) they have to knock out your door. Price. I believe the rate is little high for what is worth. Find a better discount in the Internet even so the hotel is not Chain hotel company. Good luck.

Pros: Room size was good and the redone bathroom was beautiful! Also LOVED the rooftop deck. It was our favorite thing about our stay because it was very quiet with good views of the city and harbor and lovely seating arrangements. We also enjoyed walking the neighborhood. There are lots of restaurants close by and even a grocery store where we picked up a few things. And we walked to a lovely little park right on the water's edge.
Cons: I thought our room had a strange odor, but my husband thought it was fine. If we had been staying more than one night I would have complained and asked to change rooms but decided it wasn't worth the hassle. Also our shower curtain had mildew on it, which I realize is difficult to avoid with the humidity in San Juan, but housekeeping needs to stay on top of this.

Cons: I left a plastic bag with packaged foreign sweets in the regrigerator of my hotel room behind unwittingly and the staff made no attempt of rescuing this bag for me. I called the following day and the fact that it did not occur to the corresponding staff person that the bag might have meant something to its owner, seeing that the products inside were not just local fare, aggravates me. The hotel should have at least a 24 hour policy of holding on to things that any guest leaves behind, no matter how small or insignificant they might seem to them, so that if the guest who left has a chance of reclaiming them, he/she can. In this respect, the hotel disappointed me.

Pros: I was a little worried reading previous reviews, however this hotel has almost everything you need during your stay in San Juan. The room was spacious, very neat and clean. Loved the attention to detail like making animal designs with towels and convenience of resealable shampoo pouches. Microwave and fridge in room. Luggage racks. Plenty of towels. Hairdryer and iron in room. Excersice room. Expectacular views from rooftop. Free Wi-Fi. Complementary coffee drinks. Nice amenities surrounding the hotel like movie theater, supermarket, pharmacy/souvenir shops and different kinds of restaurants all within walking distance. There is even a reasonable price restaurant across opened 24/7. Although didn't use it, access to buses to and from Old San Juan. Very helpful, courteous staff. Short minute drive to airport. Only regret, not staying longer.
Cons: No pool. The water in shower didn't stay same temperature. Slow draining tub. To be fair, I had not had the chance to raise these concern with manegement. Only stayed one night.

Pros: The deluxe King room was fairly big and had a nice ocean view. It included a king bed, a dining table for 2, a desk for writing, a microwave and a minifridge. I enjoyed having free WiFi. It is a hotel with all the basic necessities. The hotel is well located near bus and taxi transportation. There are also restaurants, a supermarket, a bank, postoffice, a cinema etc. - all closeby. The checkin service was prompt, friendly and courteous. We arrived early and were given our room prior to the scheduled checkin time.
Cons: The carpets were vacuumed but can use a steam cleaning. I guess this would be a major undertaking. Just use slippers when in the room.

Pros: I like the fact that you were close to restaurants and shopping. Close to the cruise port. We took a walk to Walmart and Marshall's near by. They have a roof top lounge area that is very nice at night. Wonderful breakfast at the restaurant downstairs. There is also a 24 hour restaurant across the street. There are plenty of eating places in the area.
Cons: Had to wait over an hour for our room to be ready. So they stored everyone's luggage while they explored the town.

Pros: We have stayed at this hotel many times over the last few years and have always been very happy with the level of comfort and cleanliness. there is a rooftop terrace with amazing views over the lagoon, ocean and marina where you can lounge on a sun bed or sit with drinks at a table. The hotel is on a busy road but still nice and quiet. The Miramar is on the bus route to Old San Juan just a 10-15 minute ride away so no need to drive and look for parking.
Cons: The attached bistro has been closed for about a year so no breakfast or coffee available although there are snacks and drinks machines on different floors and several nearby cafes.

Pros: Nice clean hotel will a very nice staff. The lady that was the desk clerk was outstanding. They have a roof top terrace on the 9th floor with an outstanding view of the area. The area also has a nice local flair with many local restaurants and there is a grocery store a few doors down. I would stay here again.

Pros: The room was basic but clean. Front desk was courteous and helpful. My 16 yr old daughter and I stayed here for one night as a stopover before we moved on to Rincon. It is a short distance from the airport and has several great restaurants within walking distance. Safe area, pleasant people and quiet. The rooftop seating and views were a great bonus. I would definitely stay here again. Reasonably priced, comfortable beds with average size rooms.

Pros: This was an unplanned stay but a very pleasant surprise while visiting family in Puerto Rico and finding this place by luck on short notice. The location was great within walking distance to Condado and Old San Juan. Also the staff was very friendly and seems to genuinely care care about their guests.
Cons: For some reason the water from the shower was just warm and not hot but I was able overlook that because it was so hot in San Juan and the rooms were nice and clean. This is often nor the case in San Juan.

Pros: The hotel is run like a well oiled machine. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. They always recognize you when entering or leaving the hotel. The lobby is well air conditioned, clean with a touch of elegance. I couldn't have asked for a better room. Large, clean, beautiful view of the ocean and pool area below. I did not eat at any of the restaurants but I would think they are good based on the hotel overall. If you valet your car you can scan the parking ticket on your smart phone and the car will be waiting for you when get downstairs. I will definitely stay at this hotel again.

Pros: Location is amazing. Condado area is vibrant. Great restaurants, great sightseeing.
Cons: Our room had roaches and after getting a minor upgrade, things went downhill. In the fine print, breakfast package excluded my 12 year old daughter, which put us in a weird place because we were then forced to pay for the overpriced breakfast or take her somewhere to eat. The hotel muddled up our booking. We received wrong expectations about our room, which ended up Being small and cramped. Hotel management isn't empowered to take care of customers and we received an "it-is-what-it-is" attitude from the staff. After asking, they said that for a discounted fee, we could upgrade. The total amount meant $250 out of pocket which we couldn't do. This was even after letting them know it was our first time staying there and we were in town to celebrate my brother in law's birthday. The hotel restaurant's food was bland and the quality is not 4 star level. Chefs couldn't even get a boiled egg right for our 18-month old. Every morning, we had to request it at least twice. Room service was poor and slow: a simple order of chicken tenders with ice cream jumped from $12 to $23, between tax and the high delivery fee. To make things worse, after almost an hour, the order arrived with missing silverware and napkins for which we had to call again. Was so let down by this experience. Go to La Concha a block down. The few extra dollars will be well worth it.

Pros: Service from the staff was excellent. View from our room was fantastic. Room and grounds were kept very clean. Beach was lovely and kept clean. We really enjoyed our stay and would like to return.
Cons: A little pricey. Also someone was smoking on their balcony. We could not sit on our balcony one evening because of the smokers. I was told that the hotel policy allows smoking on the balconies as long as their balcony door remains shut. That may be fine to keep smoke out of the room but it doesn't help guests in nearby rooms. Smoking should not be allowed anywhere on the grounds, including balconies.

Pros: Some of the rooms are modern, clean and spacious. The location is superb; close to highways (but not too close), many restaurants, the beach, convenience stores and many other atractions. The lobby looks great and the staff, at first impression (see "What did't you like?" section), seems knowledgeable, useful and amicable.
Cons: Management decided that 3:00 AM on a Tuesday was the perfect time to, using pneumatic hammers and drills, install a sign on the exterior of the nroth tower (where I was staying)!! After some negotiations (you would had thought this was a given) with the front desk they agreed to move me to a room in the south tower. However, that room was not clean, the bed was not amde and the closet doors would not open. The front desk offered to send maintenance to fix everything...AT 9:00 AM!!! Once again it took some convincing, but they finally move me to a clean and, more importanly, quiet room. The hotel manager promised to credit my account with two nights and parking fees; however, during check-out they refused to give me a receipt saying that it would be emailed to me. I am still waiting for the email or the credit.

Cons: Cons: Wrong room: we reserved a king bed but instead we were given two Queens without being told. We found when we walked into the room that it was the wrong room. The front desk eventually corrected the mistake Poor vector control: there were ants and roaches in the room. ants on the carpet and night stand. Woken up to a dead roach on the floor near the door Poor AC: the window AC wasn't able to make the room cooler than 73 degrees Fahrenheit despite the setting being at a lower number Dirty towels: the white towels had stains on them and would leave lint on the skin after drying off Bedding: stiff bed. Pros: I like the location. The staff was excellent. I like that they have a concierge to help set up excursions. I like the spacious room and modern decor. The best st is the coffee shop in the lobby and the burger place next door is yummy.
Cons: I had an inner room so did have much of a view but that's ok. I didn't spend kuch time int the room. I would have liked if they had a small store to buy sodas candy and chips.

Pros: Great location in Old San Juan. A bit pricey, but you're walking distance to everything in Old San Juan. Room was clean, staff was friendly. I loved my stay. Got to the airport, picked up the rental car, drove to the Sheraton, and didn't drive it again until we left the next evening.
Cons: The parking was like $20 a day or so. Valet only. There is parking nearby in a garage that is more economical. We chose to leave out car with the hotel.

Pros: Was here for a short, two-night stay after spending a few days in Culebra. The front desk staff was extremely nice when checking in. I forgot my water downstairs at the desk and the employee who checked us in ran all the way up to our room to return it even though it was half full and he could have just thrown it away. They recommended both the hotel's restaurant, Zabo, as well as a local food truck for dinner; as we got in quite late. We ended up at Zabo that night and the food was great, pretty fairly priced, and the service was fantastic. The hotel doesn't have a pool, but the rooftop deck is beautiful with jacuzzis and an incredible view of the city. The rooms are pretty small, but very nicely decorated and clean. Would stay here again for the staff alone. They go the extra mile and really care about their guests!

Pros: Updated, modern, clean room. Nice large bathroom. Bed is comfortable.
Cons: Shouldn't have to pay for premium wifi. The tv channels were all blurry. Water pressure was terrible. Breakfast choices were only overpriced restaurants that were terrible. Don't recommend eating anywhere on the hilton grounds. I arrived early and was told I would be called or texted when a room was available. I never was and was watching the front desk as others checked in. Not good customer service. The a/c is motion activated so it won't keep the room cold if there isn't movement which sucks when you come in from the hot humidity of San Juan and it wouldn't cool down as much as the thermostat said it was set to. The room was hot for me. There is no noise buffering between the walls I heard conversations and music playing in the next room or as people walked down the hallway.
Okay
5.7
Pros: Let me start by saying that I am the type of person that reads negative reviews and most of the time ignores them because I feel some people can never be happy or they paid the price of a 2 star resort and expected services and amenities of a 6 star resort, that is not the situation with me and the Caribe Hilton. Also, I am not a newbie when it comes to travel. I cannot possibly fathom why someone would stay at this resort instead of going to an all inclusive in Aruba, Jamaica, River is Maya, etc... an all inclusive would be less than half the cost when considering food and drink (no exaggeration). Let me put it this way, if the Caribe Hilton was an all inclusive, it would be my least favorite all the resorts that I've been to but it is not all inclusive and you get price gouged with food and drink. Way, way, way too expensive for the value. You are not within walking distance to anything worth noting. Some will tell you that Old San Juan is within walking distance, that's bullcrap, unless you are a person that runs a couple miles every day it is not. It is close to a half hour walk. Who the hell wants to walk a half hour in 86 degree weather then walk up and down the hilly streets of Old San Juan all day then walk another half hour back to the hotel? The city did put in an awesome bicycle path so I guess you could do that, we didn't want to have to worry about them getting stolen while we shopping or eating. I enjoyed Old San Juan but if I wanted to visit again, it would be by a shore excursion while on a cruise. Our room was nice and clean. There were not that many people at the resort, wonder why, but you still couldn't get a good seat at the pool or Lagoon. The pools were small and freshwater and I worried because they didn't have chlorine the type of germs and things that were in it. The hotel was kind enough to put free fruit flavored water out for a few hours a day that ranged from refreshing to disgusting depending on the type of fruit. There was a wedding held there the Saturday we were there. An entire section of the beach was closed down and all the hammocks were removed because of the wedding. The hammocks were one of few things i enjoyed. At the end of the wedding, sometime between midnight and 1AM, someone decided to light off fireworks which I typically enjoy but not being woke out off a sound sleep and not going off feet from my room's balcony. The staff were friendly and helpful except when I was asked at checkout if I had a nice stay and I said not really, the girl just smiled and handed me my check. That was the icing on the cake for me, not only would I never stay at this resort again I would never stay at a Hilton again. For the grande finale, this hotel charges you a hotel fee on top of quoted price AND it is not cheap. Not sure if this is legal, but they know you can't do anything but gripe and moan because it isn't like you can walk to the hotel next door. Bottom line is if you are not concerned about money it's great

But the one thing that pissed me off, was the fact that they have hidden fees like a deposit of some kind that no one tells you before you go, which you if you pay that deposit with a debit card you're screwed because you have to wait 2 weeks to get it back. Everything is absolutely overpriced even the water. So what I did to frugal with my money was that i bought snacks and water so i wouldn't have to be $5 for a bottle of water. Pros: The Condado Plaza is a great bargain to escape the Winter blues and the excessive snows of the northeast. The staff is pleasant and helpful. I went to the front desk and explained the problem and was immediately moved to another room with working AC. The front desk staff was polite and personal.

Cons: The staff was very poorly trained and had terrible customer service skills. To top it off the walls are painfully thin, and a group of 6 teenagers got checked in next to us. Loved the location but will stay elsewhere at my next visit.

Pros: This hotel is right on this beach which caught my eye. They have a bar which lights up blue at night so it looks very pretty. The location is awesome! In the heart of all the bars/clubs..night life is never dull here. Condado is definitely a party town, lol. It's only like a 10-15 minute ride to old San Juan which is super convenient. The staff was very nice. Not sure why some reviews say the staff wasn't nice to them...maybe busy season or the customer had an attitude themselves! I could bother the staff at anytime time whether it be 2 AM or 2PM...and they'd assure me it wasn't a bother! Pros: The hotel is comfortable - not exactly a luxury hotel but certainly adequate. The staff is very polite and helpful. I was there for work so I didn't get to use all the facilities so I can't really comment on them, but my stay was very pleasant.
Cons: I was charged an extra $100 or so tax (for a 3 night stay) in addition to the so-called "taxes" I was charged by Kayak. Whose fault is this? I assume Kayak is to be blamed here, since they do not mention that there are extra fees and taxes in addition to the price they charge. This is a deceptive practice.

Pros: This is a "hotel" on the top floor of a HOSPITAL. We couldn't figure out how to get in, we had to be escorted by hospital security guards just to find the "lobby." Then, there was no one at the desk to help us so we waited and waited. Finally a surly woman came up to check us in, but the attitude was not welcoming, it was more like why are you here. Our room was tiny and had no towels, the blinds were between two panes of glass so you couldn't open or close them. Sorry excuse of a place and we couldn't wait to get out of there. Also they charge you for parking.

Pros: The staff was very friendly
Cons: You will need to stop and ask directions about 20 times before you can find it. Even people that work in the hospital complex don't know it's there. It's on the 4th floor of a hospital. The shower never got hot. The sink could get hot water but the shower was always cold.

Pros: Friendly and clean.
Cons: It's in the middle of hospital. Parking was terrible, you had to drive around a one way street for more than a mile in a circle. Rooms look like they were part of a hospital.
