The food options and the service I received from the chef were excellent. I would suggest having bottle openers available in the rooms since beers are sold in the hotel. Or sell beers with twist off caps. Clean rooms and bathrooms. I left an electronic device in my room. Within 15 minutes of checking out I called and notified the lady at the front desk who assured me that housekeeping hadn't been in the room yet and she would call right away to ensure they pick it up. When I arrived 3 days later to pick up the item from the front desk, they had heard nothing about the situation and in fact housekeeping said they never found the item and so it was probably sent out with the laundry. I had to leave and wait for a second investigation at which point my device was found. All in all I found the staff to be unreliable and untrustworthy as they did not follow up on my concerns and did not call back when they said they would call back. I had to get upset at the front desk in person before someone took me seriously,
location ease to fine free breakfast. sofa bed. i need it to upgrade to a 2 bed with a sofa bad, the staff told me they did not have room with 2 beds.
Everyone was really helpful Showers aren't a fancy as others I've stayed at for the same price
Soft bed Reserved 2 double beds for our family of 4. On arrival only a king handicapped room was available. We were told we would have a king bed, a pull out sofa, and a roll away. There was no sofa. That was too squishy for 4 people. Can't get a mimosa or Bloody Mary on Sunday morning. The bar in a sold out hotel wasn't open.
Arrived early and was able to get an express checkin. Nothing.
Gym awesome pool nice set up
Decent bathroom amenities, mostly quiet hotel and seems very well run. Outstanding complete hot and fresh breakfast, delicious coffee, a television I could understand how to work, ample parking, excellent security. The wall behind my headboard of Room 331 started humming like an idling vehicle with varying levels of loudness and intensity at 2 am and continued until 7 am. We overslept because of it. When I mentioned it to the front desk clerk upon chec- out, she was very polite in thanking me for reporting it and seeing to having someone go check it out. I think I should have been offered something more, though, as an appeasement such as a free dessert or beverage or some additional showing that they cared about my lost sleep.
Really enjoyed our stay and the valuable local information from Victoria the lobby ambassador.
I only stayed one night but it was very nice and I liked the breakfast.
Spacious room, very clean and quiet. Hefty valet charge--but no other parking options (like a parking lot), which for a suburban hotel is odd and unexpected.
Excellent service Room a bit warm on 8th floor
I really liked the breakfast, the fact that there was two separate rooms with a pull out coach was amazing too. Really pretty pond through out the hotel.
Excellent service, location and I would recommend it to others!
Location,restaurant and room.
fair service and facility.
The room was large, clean, and bed comfy. Just what we wanted. Check in was a breeze, and the indoor pool was lovely. There was no blow dryer in the room, just a minor thing. And also no towels are available at the pool so bring some from your room! The biggest problem we had was at around midnight someone jiggled our door handle and tried to come in. I looked out the peep hole and saw a staff member walking around looking confused. our phone has just rung minutes before that happened, waking us both. Also, we had our do not disturb sign up but the maids still knocked and tried to enter early in the morning.
Manager's reception Tuesday nights. If you have considerate (quiet) neighbors on both sides and above you, and you don't want to sleep in, this hotel is fine. Thin walls and ceilings. Old carpet. Did not get room I requested. Food at the bar is average at best. Housekeeping started knocking on the door at 8:15am.
Excellent bed, television, cable tv selection, fast and consistent wifi, pool and hot tub. Trader Joes across the street to stock the in room fridge. Inexperienced restraunt staff, across the board.
I loved it! So clean and the staff was accommodating and courteous! The breakfast was delicious! The room was clean, the bed was extremely comfortable and I didn't want to leave. Fantastic hotel!
Always a very good experience. Always very good service.
The hotel itself didn't have a very pleasant smell on the third floor, it was very disturbing the entire 3-4 days.
Very friendly and helpful staff, very good breakfast and nice view. They also had a shuttle that was free of charge and could use for your traveling around the city
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Location was convenient and it had all of the amenities I was looking for. No. I was very happy with it and will stay there again.
Great location, beautiful setting, friendly helpful staff.
The fact that it has a wonderful breakfast and is close to the Bay Breeze race area. The front desk employees were not as friendly as previous visits and the room was not as clean and fresh smelling as previous visits. This was our 3rd stay in this hotel and when we mentioned this the fellow at the front desk just said," oh."
View A bit dated
The view from my room and how quiet the location is
Well located for SFO International airport, but out of any flight paths. Quiet marina location with convenient restaurant 2 mins walk away (Horatios). The reception staff were very helpful and friendly and the complementary breakfast was excellent. Would recommend to anyone wanting to stay within 30 mins of SFO or Oakland Airport
the comfort and staff no everything was perfect in out 21 days trip was the best hotel we had
The weather That I can't use a prepaid master debit card to pay for hotel.
What a treat this Marriott Residence Inn was. Completely and beautifully renovated to include flat screen TV's. Very quiet although located close to the major highway. A running/walking path is adjacent to thje property. The staff was attentive and friendly. The breakfast room will get you going with a wide variety of choices.
The size of the room was good. The common area was nice. The location was good. The room was quiet at night. The 'full' kitchen contains a stovetop and microwave, but no oven. The front desk person was not very helpful.
Pros : Animal friendly while still being upscale they provide water and food bola and a pet bed Breakfast in bed Super accommodating Very friendly staff Pool and jacuzzi mini fridge didn't work so well (we brought a cooler though) No air circulation in rooms. VERY STAGNANT. But it's a hotel so I didn't really expect to be able to open windows or anything, just a general pet peeve of mine
Nothing I do not plan to use Hilton if I can avoid it in the future.
We reserved a king room; we were given two doubles... "All sold out."
the rooms are nice that the parking cost $15.00 per night
Everything apart from parking $18 to park is kinda ridiculous when your already a paying guest staying at their hotel. Basically s back handed way to make their room rates look cheaper. They reduce the room rate by 20 bucks and then add a $20 parking fee.....
I arrived at 2ish, was really hungry, and went straight to grab a drink and bite from the restaurant. It was nice to know it was open. After such a long drive, was not in the mood to get back into my car after checking in to go look for an outside restaurant. And especially, the room was ready didn't have to wait til 3pm. Thank you 2 things I didn't like.... 1. Once I got into the room wanted to relax before heading out to a business dinner. I believe there was a basketball tournament. I can hear the kids out in the hallway being loud. 2. I think your prices at the restaurant are a little too pricey.
We wound up here by accident--my mom was very ill and having emergency surgery, our train was delayed...I am disabled, in a wheelchair, was exhausted and traveling with my even more exhausted 7 year-old. We arrived to the friendliest, most patient staff ever...there was no rushing us and they simply helped us get to our room and rest. They were courteous and genuinely helpful at a time when my tank was well beyond empty. It was a wonderful place to recharge during a very difficult time! Very high marks to the staff!!! The rooms were also immaculate and extremely comfortable.
The room was nice and clean. Staff was a little rude, and didn't really want to help us out. Also the additional $50 a night for insurance no one told us about. And they charge you $18 a night for parking whether you park there or not. The food wasn't the best, I've had better food at a complimentary breakfast buffet. Definitely not $17 worth. The people in the room next to us were smoking weed and the entire hallway reeked. For what you pay, I expected more from Hilton.
Beautiful view from the 10th story of the Oakland hills First night we arrived to an open bottle of almost empty wine in the warm fridge which caused the room and fridge a near permanent odor. The a/c durino our stay seemed to only work 70% of the time. 2nd day the shower was draining so slow that the water reached your calves and it took to days to be fixed. The door to the bath room was near to falling off its hinges. The fact it cost more than the much better crown plaza hotel and paying 15$ to self park. I wouldn't recommend this hotel, I'd suggest the crown plaza down the street.
Location is convenient. Check-in staff has as much personality as a cardboard box. Hotel isn't super clean and lighting fairly dismal.
Efficient, clean and comfortable. Very well located for my needs. Good price. Staff very friendly and helpful. I stay there at least once a year since my older son lives around the corner but does not have space for me. It would be nice to have some vending machines/ice on the first floor.
extensive breakfast, plenty of food friendly staff afternoon cookies, a nice touch free parking, a real plus room clean except for carpet near bed :((( the building is a little 'old' see comments on other side
Great prices, clean, excellent buffett breakfast, good location, and parking garage! Loved our stay!
The staff was very friendly and helpful. They were very patient with us sorting out the various family names, who got what rooms that multiple bookings thru hotels.com caused. Key card glitches. Seemed like every time we left our rooms someone's key cards weren't working when we returned. Also, rooms could use a little updating, starting to look a little worn.
The lobby obviously had been renovated. The breakfast was a cut above for that kind of establishment. When checking in I was told that I wouldn't get any IHG Rewards points for my stay. Apparently, if the reservation is made through Hotels.com, there are no rewards points given to the guest--the very person who is paying the bill and to whom the points should be given! I don't care through whom I book a hotel room; I don't even think about it. Hotel rooms are booked through some sort of intermediary all the time. That's how the hotels fill their rooms: they use booking agents to get their rooms in front of the biggest audience of potential customers--duh! The most irksome thing about this is I purposely chose the Holiday Inn Express OUT OF LOYALTY. Why would I ever chose an IHG property again when they don't count every stay I make, every dollar I give them?
To be fair I'm a Marriott person and the Walnut Creek Marriott was full. This hotel isn't bad at all, it's just not the Marriott! ; ). Clean and kept, just if you are a light sleeper, make sure you don't get a room facing the freeway.
free shuttle transport to the shopping district and town
Everybody was very polite and made us feel welcome. The room was very clean and comfortable. It was a pleasant stay.
We were thoroughly pleased with our stay. From the breakfast and lovely grounds, to the extra friendly staff, our time there was very enjoyable.
Hardwood floors, bath amenities noisy room, clicking sound all night, I was in a room located behind the elevators so I heard them running THE ENTIRE NIGHT. Updated hotel but I doubt I'd stay there again.
The service was outstanding The rooms could use updating
Good location to freeway. Decent rooms. A bit overpriced for what you get, but in range for the area. Valet parking only @ $21 for one night. What they didn't make obvious is that there is free parking nearby.
I love staying at the Walnut Creek Marriott! Every time I stay there the staff shows the most gracious hospitality. I always feel like I'm visiting friends every time I'm there. I am very particular about the hotels I stay in, and this is by far my favorite one. My room is always clean, and the area is always quiet. I can't think of a problem I've had that the Marriott staff resolved without issue because I've never had a problem with any of my reservations, room service orders, or special accommodations. Oh! I can remember that my most recent stay was the result of an unfortunate situation, and the staff gave me a complimentary $10 credit for a drink at the bar. I know it's small, but the gesture was nice; they acknowledged how upset I was and made an effort to brighten my day... that drink definitely helped! They new I needed it hahaha In any case, Walnut Creek Marriott is and will always be my first choice. N/A
staff is very nice. First, had to move rooms, heat not working in the first. Second room, some TV channels not working. The place is newly renovated but the work is marginal in places, for example, in my room the composite floor planks (no carpet) had gaps to the subfloor. Been at this hotel a number of times, not sure its the same.
Gym Price of breakfast
Apparently extended has started to book the public without a smoke/nonsmoking screening so that if you arrive you can get your very own and that can say 'you did not book non-smoking' so there. This of course signals the end of any future business for me and pretty anyone assigned a smoking parkour for a bedroom. To his credit the concierge was understanding and let us out of the room after we arrived after six pm. This and you now have to orde kitchen gear brought to your empty kitchen. Poor guy. The above.
Pool and spa area are beautiful. Rooms are very comfortable and spacious. Great location, close to freeway and BART. 20 dollar per night parking fee. Our room had a view of the kitchen roof.
Luxurious. Friendly. Paid almost $700.00/2 nights. I only used it to sleep so it was not worth it to me. The parking fee seems too much when hotel fee is already high. The toilet paper is rough. They checked me out for a different persons room and when I called it took them a while to find the mistake.
Michelle (i think that was her name) upgraded us so we could get an early check in; our reserved room wasn't ready. Other than Michelle, the other staff was apathetic and not particularly helpful. E.g we went to the front desk to request the shuttle for 15 mins later. The shuttle driver was there and said, "I was about to take lunch, but I guess I'll take you. It has to be in 15 mins." We came back 15 mins later and waited another 15 mins before he took us. There was another valet/shuttle driver so not sure what that was about. It was Sunday afternoon, not busy. We were also charged $10.85 for a beer and a smart water from the mini bar even though we never opened the mini bar. They did reverse the charge after I saw it on my credit card statement and called but seemed sketchy. Overall, it was disappointing. I'll stay the Renaissance in walnut creek over this place.
This hotel has functionally become my second home. My husband and I are both from the bay area and this is the perfect spot central to all of the grandparents. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious. The service is excellent. By far, my favorite thing about this hotel is that it has an amazing gym with everything you could possible want. The kids world, made my children want to move to Walnut Creek, they loved it and want to know when we are coming back!. Cant say enough about this place, we love it!
with club sport connection - good facilities for excercise/relaxation clean, well-tended facility only valet parking - or try to find something out on the street and walk...
it was a nice room I like the fact it had a balcony I found an earring in one of the drawers which question the cleanliness and I found a dog treat in the room on the floor and I did not bring a dog. the workout facilities were nice and I enjoyed the friendly staff. I would definitely stay here again no questions asked I didn't like the fact that the room was not 100% clean it was 99 percent clean other than that it was a beautiful place to stay very quiet and peaceful
Location (near a softball tournament venue) and easy access to freeway and restaurants. Price was great. Kids really enjoyed the pool. Grown-ups loved the lounge seating in the courtyard. Breakfast took a very long time and seemed fairly chaotic. The food was good once it came out, but getting a group through in a reasonable time didn't happen. Room air conditioning cycled on/off at night making for a hot/cool, hot/cool night of sleep.
The price Nothing
The hotel is located on Hopyard which is one of main roads through Pleasanton. Easy access to restaurants, Starbucks, freeway, etc. We had come down for a weekend to go to the 49'ers game and visit friends. Worked out very well. Rooms are nice and clean and the staff is very accommodating.
It is always very clean and relaxing. Breakfast lunch dinner is right there, great! Oh yeah, can't forget the cookies at check-in yummy!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. I wish house keeping wouldn't rush with cleaning the rooms. When we returned to our room it was clear all they did was make the beds and replace towels. They didn't vaccum and must of spilled something our of the garbage because there were visible crumbs.
clean, quiet, classy no
Noisy from late night people in the bar and out on the patio

good sized pool, very helpful staff
The hotel location was the best part. It was close to many shopping areas. Noise and the maintenance going on during are stay.
location to event, price
Very clean and well run. Pleasant staff. Easy to access from freway. Nice area. Too expensive-that far out of the city should decrease the price. Too modern-Sheraton tries too hard to be edgy and modern which means it loses a bit in hominess. Bed was comfortable but room overall felt a little stiff and unwelcoming. Also didn't like that hotel is disconnected buildings. It meant a long walk outside to my room even once I was in the hotel.
The balconies! The arrangement of the rooms was great, the beds were very comfy and the restaurant food was excellent, better than most hotel fare.
Just needed a place close to news years party. It was convenient and very quiet. Front counter person very friendly and helpful. Switched me to a more quiet location and into a room with a single bed since I was by myself.
Was there for a volleyball tryout and the my grand daughter and I loved it. Would stay there again
room smelt like cigarettes room was wore down
Liked that breakfast was included and the price was right. We were given room on floor where remodeling construction was going on and it was very noisy. Requested room change following day and second room was perfect.
Room was neat and clean. Room directly connected to ours (there was a door connecting the rooms) was being used by a prostitute who played music too loudly and yelled at her John at 2 in the morning to get out if he wasn't paying up front.
I got a great price on the room and I think they definitely improved over the bad reviews I read based on the room I stayed in. The design was great, the bed was clean, no mold, no weird smells, and everything worked. Besides just be relieved to know the room didn't have those problems, I really liked the lcd TV, the abundance of power outlets with usb phone charging ports. More: -Great check out time (12 noon) -Room Service if wanted -Nice Staff -Cool Furniture -Big pool -Restaurant (did not use but it's nice to have) -No microwave -Could have had more towels I was just here for the rooms but if you want a nice lobby I will just say they are currently under going some renovations and you might see some dust and dirt around. I did not mind it since it seems they are trying to repair their reputation. -Parking structure was not awful but could be improved by removing the debris
The latest cation is good. This hotel is old and in much need of updating. Not anywhere close to the Crowne Plaza standards.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel rooms surrounding were noisy with folks coming and going all night. Interior was dated. Bathroom door was falling apart.
