Everyone was really helpful Showers aren't a fancy as others I've stayed at for the same price
location ease to fine free breakfast. sofa bed. i need it to upgrade to a 2 bed with a sofa bad, the staff told me they did not have room with 2 beds.
The food options and the service I received from the chef were excellent. I would suggest having bottle openers available in the rooms since beers are sold in the hotel. Or sell beers with twist off caps. Clean rooms and bathrooms. I left an electronic device in my room. Within 15 minutes of checking out I called and notified the lady at the front desk who assured me that housekeeping hadn't been in the room yet and she would call right away to ensure they pick it up. When I arrived 3 days later to pick up the item from the front desk, they had heard nothing about the situation and in fact housekeeping said they never found the item and so it was probably sent out with the laundry. I had to leave and wait for a second investigation at which point my device was found. All in all I found the staff to be unreliable and untrustworthy as they did not follow up on my concerns and did not call back when they said they would call back. I had to get upset at the front desk in person before someone took me seriously,
Well located for SFO International airport, but out of any flight paths. Quiet marina location with convenient restaurant 2 mins walk away (Horatios). The reception staff were very helpful and friendly and the complementary breakfast was excellent. Would recommend to anyone wanting to stay within 30 mins of SFO or Oakland Airport
Great location, beautiful setting, friendly helpful staff.
the comfort and staff no everything was perfect in out 21 days trip was the best hotel we had
The weather That I can't use a prepaid master debit card to pay for hotel.
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Location was convenient and it had all of the amenities I was looking for. No. I was very happy with it and will stay there again.
It is located next to the water with a park, walking, and biking trails it is a lovely location for families. The breakfast is good with a variety of choices. It is next to Oakland International Airport. You hear when the planes take off.
The fact that it has a wonderful breakfast and is close to the Bay Breeze race area. The front desk employees were not as friendly as previous visits and the room was not as clean and fresh smelling as previous visits. This was our 3rd stay in this hotel and when we mentioned this the fellow at the front desk just said," oh."
View A bit dated
Very friendly and helpful staff, very good breakfast and nice view. They also had a shuttle that was free of charge and could use for your traveling around the city
The view from my room and how quiet the location is
What a treat this Marriott Residence Inn was. Completely and beautifully renovated to include flat screen TV's. Very quiet although located close to the major highway. A running/walking path is adjacent to thje property. The staff was attentive and friendly. The breakfast room will get you going with a wide variety of choices.
The size of the room was good. The common area was nice. The location was good. The room was quiet at night. The 'full' kitchen contains a stovetop and microwave, but no oven. The front desk person was not very helpful.
Apparently extended has started to book the public without a smoke/nonsmoking screening so that if you arrive you can get your very own and that can say 'you did not book non-smoking' so there. This of course signals the end of any future business for me and pretty anyone assigned a smoking parkour for a bedroom. To his credit the concierge was understanding and let us out of the room after we arrived after six pm. This and you now have to orde kitchen gear brought to your empty kitchen. Poor guy. The above.
Stove, refrigerator, sink. Was able to open window to help with room odor. The room had a bad odor: some combination of old smoke, mustiness, and dust. No dishes or utensils. No closet for hanging clothes. No counter in bathroom for placing my toiletries.
Was there for a volleyball tryout and the my grand daughter and I loved it. Would stay there again
Liked that breakfast was included and the price was right. We were given room on floor where remodeling construction was going on and it was very noisy. Requested room change following day and second room was perfect.
room smelt like cigarettes room was wore down
Staff were helpful and friendly. Overall cleanliness of room was OK just smelly weird. It was an old dated room with average cleanliness. TV from 1972.The location was great.
Staff is friendly and facilities and grounds were very clean. While very clean, the rooms, especially the bathrooms, are worn and dated.
This is in an excellent location if you need to get to downtown Oakland without actually staying in the city. It's also near major stores and restaurants. Will stay here again.
The staff was very friendly and it is right in downtown Alameda which is great because it's just a walk to shops, restaurants and bars. Being by the bay was nice considering the price of the room. The decor is from the 80's. It reminded me of staying in an old cabin, the room was huge with a balcony which was great but the rooms need a serious update. All the furnishings looked like it was found at a garage sale or thrift store but not in a hip way. The pictures of the rooms on the website were a bit deceiving.
Wi fi problems
My family and I have stayed there multiple times and have enjoyed it each time. Helped us to discover the quant was of Alameda. The bathrooms are in need of refreshing.
Size of the room Fridge and stove not to fat from San Francisco The lobby and ailse rug was dirty. We had to ask every night for 4 towels eventhough we hung the towels to make sure they will not be changed Lack of table for breakfast.
The location is excellent, walking distance to beach and shopping Mall with grocery store directly across the street. My stay was business related so Internet access very important. Internet access was great and I was able to work from room daily. Majority of staff extremely friendly and helpful. Traveling solo, I felt very safe at this location. Would stay again and recommend to others.V Very satisfied with my accommodations. There is nothing to dislike.
Great breakfast; rooms were quite roomy and clean; wifi was good; balcony was nice touch. Walking up steps not easy.
The young lady that helped us at the front desk was kind and very helpful. We got an upgrade to a upstairs room. The Inn was nicely located across from a large shopping center with plenty of options for shopping and food purchases. The room smelled of old musty cigarettes and it was a non smoking room, The counter and the toilet were ultra low the bathroom sink was 28inches high and the toilet was so low it felt like I was doing squats to sit on the toilet. The bed was very uncomfortable and very broken down in the middle like a soup bowl. the T.V. remotes did not work, not a big deal but noted. The place has not been updated in many years it seemed. and it is very noisy at night due to it be located next to a bowling alley. It felt as though most the guest were like apartment rentals just a weird feel.
Great value great location Bar next door throwing things off the balcony at 230 in the morning
I liked the waterfront area, the pool, the breakfast was good... It was quaint & nice outside of the room. It wasn't super conveniently located to stores or anything else for that matter. The room was small. The shower was a tiny closet with no tub.
We had a great stay. Jeremias was absolutely the BEST manager I've ever seen. Extremely helpful. He went out of his way to print out two separate sets of directions when we realized our group had been split up. He was quick to deliver extra pillows. The breakfast was fully stocked when he was there. Construction on our building started at 730am. So much for sleeping in. I was surprised we weren't warned. The last day we were there (Jeremias wasn't) breakfast was skimpy. Our plan was to lounge around until check out time but we promptly left when we realized the construction in our building wasn't stopping.
The balcony with waterfront and city views. Outdated room.
It's a quiet neighborhood not much noise at night TV's need to be upgraded and the bathrooms need some work as well.
Extremely dated, dingy, barely functioning AC, pillows needed to be replaced 5 years ago.
We liked the location and the friendliness of the staff. The bed was remarkably in good shape. Small room, not well maintained and a bit dirty. The linens were shabby.
Paid extra to get a nicer room with a king size bed, instead I got a very cheap room that needed remodel with a king size bed that the sheets were too small to fit it. The sheets didn't even stretch to the edge, they were just laid on the mattress and during the night it came half off. I woke up during the night several times because of that. When complained in the morning they just said sorry to hear that but refused to give any kind of compensation.
It was conveniently close to my work. Manager was horrible with his customer service and could not accommodate my needs when I had issues with the room not having most outlets working to charge my devices for work. The room itself was really outdated and needed remodeling, most of their lamps didn't work either. The shower was a bit dirty and worn out. Overall a bad experience that I had to just leave.
Staff was nice. By the water. Nice pillows. Rustin the bathroom. Small room. Rooms are adjoining and there is a lockes door which other people tried to open. Ceiling in the bathroom was cracked. Bed was uncomfortable. TV remote didn't work.
The staff is very professional and curtious. Nothing
The staff was very nice, helpful. We've stayed there several times when in town for dance conventions, would stay there again. My only complaint on this last visit was the stiffness/hardness of the pillows... we all had sore necks the next morning.
I was charged twice the rate that was advertised and only booked for one night when I needed two. No trash cans in the rooms and the fridge had the previous guests food still in it. Am in town for a conference and needed an iron but my particular room was missing one and management couldn't provide me with one. Overcharged and underwhelmed.
The best beds ever! Always clean and comfortable.
Loved the location. Felt safe, close to airport, and also close to the bay. The roads around were a little confusing.
Quick check in. Clean and spacious rooms. Accommodations
Love the do it yourself waffle breakfast Flat screen tv did not have hookups for my digital camcorder
Great location for Raiders fans. airport shuttle. Great staff
We always get king suites with Hampton Inn, and have yet to be disappointed. This particular suite seemed a little bigger than average. Perhaps it was the floor plan.
Room was clean. Wall heater/Airconditioner was not plugged in to the wall. Where the plug should have been was a block off plate. Also the GFI electrical outlet in the bathroom was broken. Had to plug my shaver in out at the bed. They knew the ac/heater was not going to work and removed the wall plug. And rented the room anyway.
We got bed bugs. End of story
The website indicated there was a refrigerator in every room and there is not. The guest book indicated you can get one for an additional fee. Also, there is 1 bank of elevators that is for an extended building. Kind of awkward and inconvenient. See above
Location was nice close to restaurants and shopping The bed wasn't too comfortable . Also there were used towels laying around the pool area from earlier in the day. No complimentary breakfast for guest.
Breakfast was good each day we stayed. Requested a lower level room, did get it. With kids it would of been easier.
The cleanliness of the rooms, and the excellent man behind the desk that greeted me on Friday afternoon. He made every effort - I needed a blanket, got me a 1st floor room, etc., with a great attitude.
The room was neat and clean. I liked that there was a refrigerator and a microwave if needed. It was close to downtown Danville. The restaurant across the street had music playing loud but it did quit about 10. There was a wait to get checked in because the hotel clerk got real busy with several phone calls and people checking in. I thought there should have been maybe a back up or additional person to check us in.
Very clean facilities, quiet location.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a minor issue with the room which they attempted to resolve immediately. It was also nice to have a decent size room with a separate sitting and sleeping area after having been in a room for about the same price across the bay that was a third the size. It was also 2 blocks from the Fireside which is a bar that one of my friends opened. That was the only reason I was staying in Alameda at all ;-) The pancakes were pretty lousy (Sam liked the waffles though). The air conditioning would not shut off in the room and we had to have someone come and fix it. They were super helpful though and offered us another room.
The comfort of the room. The room next door sounded like the people were in our room, when they were talking. The talking woke us up at 6:00 am.
The staff was very welcoming and helpful. the room was spacious, clean, quiet, and comfortable to work in. I did not like it that the taxi driver who the hotel called in, did not have a meter and asked a higher price for the ride to the airport than the meter would show.
I appreciated the buffet breakfast, morning paper, fitness center and suite design of the room which allowed me to have a separate area for my laptop. It was also convenient to public transportation and close to two good restaurants and a drugstore. Moderate street noise (mainly from sirens), but not a huge problem.
First, I found that staying in Alameda as opposed to San Francisco, our destination, was not a bad idea at all. Parking is available and included. The room was spacious and clean. Continental breakfast was excellent; it included everything you would expect in a decent hotel. The mattresses were too soft for me, but the pillows were nice.
Excellent buffet breakfast, helpfulness of staff
Simple and cleaning no
Great place to stay breakfast bar quick and easy
Clean and people were very nice there. The decor in the room was wonderful. Bathroom had a stool for ladies like me to put on their makeup. Full breakfast was the best of all. If we want to stay overnite again we would be staying there. No complaints at all!!
Convenient to a Chinese restaurant (east ocean - 1 block away) where we were guests for a birthday banquet. Easy to find through the Webster Street tunnel to Alameda. Cold drinks machine on every floor. Breakfast room could not accomodate all the guests wanting food at the same time. Encourage guests to take beakfast trays to their rooms.
La Quinta Inn was recently remodeled with work still being done in the lobby area. Rooms were really nice. Price included breakfast, parking and internet. Great location in Dublin, CA. Will stay there again and considerably cheaper than hotels near Oakland/SF. I'm sure once all the renovation is complete, there will be less noise and much more comfortable. All in all...can't beat it.
Nothing horrible Everything horrible
Excellent friendly and smart staff! Quick drive thru tunnel to Oakland. And five minutes from Ferry to SF wharf 41. Easy walk to Target and Safeway. Clean, airy room. Will stay here again.
Nice secluded location, private. Parking , & coffee is only available til 9:30 am
When we arrived there was no one around to check us in. The lobby was full of people waiting and it took 15 minutes for someone from the back room to open the door and see the lobby full. They then said we will be right with you and left again. Very unprofessional for the hospitality business. When we finally did get to our room the AC/heater was broken and only one window was not broken. It also had the stove and sink but no supplies to go with using any of it. Definitely one of the worst hotels I have stayed at. Location, price
Front Desk Aaron and Kevin were very pleasant and accommodating. Rooms were clean, has a coin operated laundry facility. First 2 nights, TV wasn't working. Took so much walk to the front desk to ask for one. The manager (yes the manager) was not of help at all. All he could do is nod and nod. Nothing else. No public restroom (fyi).
It has recently been remodeled so when you walk in the lobby, it is bright & clean with new carpets, same with the hallways so right away you get a good clean feeling about the place. Rooms are nice & big and most of all clean with a nice big bathroom. The microwave & refrigerator are a nice bonus. It's not fancy, but great for an overnight or two stay. Nothing
Room was ok and bed was fine. Exercise room terrible. TV was crap It had a kitchen, but no paper towels or napkins.
Staffs always friendly and the rooms are pretty clean Not enough face towels seem to be in the room
The location is close to the airport. The breakfast is snacks, it was not BREAKFAST
Easy access from Oakland Airport, lots of parking. Kitchenette didn't have utensils

I loved the kitchen. The staff was very friendly. There was hardly anything available for breakfast.
Quiet and clean Vending machine not taking money

Quiet location. The front desk frequently had nobody there, breakfast wasn't ready when they said it would be (there wasn't even a sign of any employee anywhere), all breakfast was was granola bars and packets of oatmeal, and there were zero amenities nearby.
Nice and neat Nothing I can think of
I like everything about this hotel No
