Pros: The Nutmeg Inn is a charming, interesting and relaxing place to stay. The home is truly special with a fascinating history and beautiful rooms. The bed was comfy and the bathroom is modern. Everything was very clean. The setting is beautiful and a short drive to all the fun things to do in NH. We hiked, spent time swimming in the lake, browsed antique stores, watched a meteor shower from the porch, and visited historic sites. The owners were very friendly and breakfast was delicious. I would love to come back in fall or winter! We stayed in the Parsley room. I would recommend getting one of the larger rooms if you are tall because it has a low ceiling.

Pros: It was awesome. The staff were top notch! We WILL go back!
Pros: Loved the restaurant and bar and music downstairs. Loved the ambiance of the room and the super friendly staff.
Cons: The temperature ran cold in my room and noise carry over from outside was fairly significant.
Pros: Nice clean inn style setting. Friendly and happy staff. Reasonably comfortable bed by hotel standards.
Cons: Heat is kept pretty warm by most people's standards I believe, but might be necessary given the old style construction.
There is no front desk, making the checkin process very confusing. There is a guestbook in the room, which reveals a hilarious series of everything from admonishing reviews to polite suggestions, all of which are met with a snappy, defensive penned response from (what I presume) is one of the owners. We did not try the continental breakfast and some of the reviewers in the guest book complained of its lack of existence at all. The bed was uncomfortable and loud and no explanation (written or verbal) of how to access the wifi network. I'm glad we only stayed one night.
Pros: There was convenient parking outside
Cons: The towels were wet (clearly laundered, but still wet) and then went mildewy. There was no full length mirror and very poor lighting in the bathroom (for anything from tweezing your eyebrows to applying makeup).
Very clean. It's in a very nice location. And the staff are very friendly and helpful.
Pros: It has character, and the people were great
Cons: My window view was non-existent, but I can overlook that because everything else was great
very nice hotel in a small town.
Pros: The room, the interior and decoration was so nice. onr of the best hotels during our whole trip. the friendlyness of the staff was also perfect.
We stayed here two nights for a NASCAR racing experience. It was close enough, and had lots of ambiance. Also, it had terrific dining and a friendly bar. Friendly & personable owners and staff. Very good value for the price. We went sight-seeing at close-by parks. Great breakfast place down the street with homemade breads. The included breakfast had good coffee, no hot breakfast, and all items were rather sweet. Walkable downtown and nearby park, drive to outlets. The room was clean. Flat-screen TV. The bed comfortable, not so great pillows. Electric fireplace. The bathroom in the Henry Ford room was tiny, and had the only mirror. Bookcases and lots of seating. All the rooms are unique, and appear to be charming. Thumbs up on this hotel.
Pros: This Hotel has a great restaurant & popular bar. There is outdoor seating, on the porch. Walking distance to 2 scenic parks. Downtown location, historic small town. Friendly staff and locals. The room was charming, with wide-plank slanting floors.
Cons: There is only street parking, which could be an issue. The bathroom was TINY, with only one hook on the door for towels. (Henry Ford room) It had the only mirror also. Breakfast was cereal, muffins, frosted buns, fruit, flavored yogurt. All sweet stuff.
An old Inn with squeaky floors and ambiance of a bygone era. The bedding was clean and freshly prepared. The rooms were decorated in colorful period furniture as well as newer re-purposed additions. E.g., old six panel doors with painted flowers matching stenciling on the walls used for head-boards on the beds; a barrel top painted as a tray used to top a table; and simple board shelves strategically mounted on the walls.
Pros: Perhaps the cleanest and best stay we have had at an OLD Inn!
Cons: No reserved parking, although there is sufficient street parking available while we were there.
Enjoy your visit to Tilton with a stay at Tilton Inn. Guests looking for a bite to eat can check out Onions Pub and Restaurant, which serves lunch and dinner. There's a bar/lounge, and rooms offer flat-screen TVs and premium bedding.
Pros: While not right on the lake the property has a nice clean pool as well as back area with seating, picnic tables and gas grills for use by guests. Extremely friendly family owned place. Did not hear any disturbances from other rooms because of thin walls. Planning on staying again next time in the area. The price was great and we felt like we got more for our money than usual.
Cons: That we only stayed the weekend (not the motels fault obviously, just didn't want to leave it was so comfortable)
Pros: Rooms were clean. Beds were new and comfy. Staff was excellent. We are going back soon
Cons: 1st room he showed us was too small but all the others we checked out were bigger and nicer
Pros: I actually stayed at The Bay Top Inn across the street cause I had a problem with my room at the Winniesaukee Motel. The Owner of the Winnesaukeee Inn quickly and professionally changed my hotel for me to keep my trip on track. I had an awesome experience!
Lake Winnipesaukee Motel is a great choice for a stay in Laconia. Guests can hang out at the outdoor pool or seasonal outdoor pool, and freebies like WiFi, self parking, and wired Internet are added perks. Rooms feature conveniences like refrigerators and microwaves.
Pros: Just a very nice rustic old time atmosphere. Great location close to the lake and shops. Staff was outstanding.
Cons: Liked everything about the place. Will return.
Pros: Very clean, old-fashioned, but charming
Cons: I'm sure it's technically my fault, because I didn't carefully read the description when I booked it, but when I learned that the room DIDN'T HAVE A BATHROOM, I was floored. Imagine a perfect little room with one giant problem. Make that two: the wifi didn't work.
When visiting Laconia, Cozy Inn-Lakeview House & Cottages is a great choice to consider. Guests can take a dip in one of 2 outdoor pools, and freebies like WiFi and self parking are added perks. A seasonal outdoor pool and a garden are other highlights, and rooms feature fireplaces and kitchens.
