The staff at the front desk. Super-welcoming, and they gave us a map of the area, as well as some recommendations, when they found out that it was our first time in the area. Nothing, I would definitely return. I would upgrade again to a waterfront view.
Staff was friendly and helpful Construction was loud
Location and facility were top notch! The staff could not have been nicer. Very personable and friendly. We felt like friends. Definitely recommend.
Rooms were very clean. Easy parking and amazing location.
Service and location
the beach across the street. Desk staff were very helpful.

Well worth the money... beautiful rooms.

Best location in Santa Barbara, right across from the beach and wharf. Ref in room was a mini bar, had to use my own cooler for drinks I brought to room. Ice machines were near by… not to much of an inconvenience.
hotel milo was had lovely grounds. everything was nice quality and very comfortable. across the street from the beach and a close walk to state st. the staff (especially Sam!) was very nice and helpful. the walls were quite thin and I could every word from the people in the hall or those at the pool.
Absolutely loved this place. The beds were so comfortable, the staff was as friendly as can be, the bike rental was perfect. We stayed in early November for the half marathon (husband and cousin ran it) and the location was perfect. We booked early so got a great price. If you wait, the rooms can be very pricey. It's all about location location location. But we loved it!!!!! Will be back soon.
Good location Extremely overpriced hotel. We paid over $400/ night for a room with king bed, so small that you couldn't walk around the bed, room was called Santa Barbara but it was smaller that any room I paid over $400/ night. The tub was very gross and smelly, the headboard to the bed was scratched and disgusting. No air conditioning. Not nice service at the front desk. One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in.
The room was hot, tiny and extremely uncomfortable. You couldn't even open the window because they had martini glasses, wine bottles, snacks etc in the way. There was no AC and only a fan. If they would invest in some AC units, it would have at least been tolerable. Some of the staff were rude as well. And it was overpriced. Don't stay here, stay anywhere else.
Can't beat the location right on the beach. Grounds are nicely landscaped and beautiful. Handy to have the continental breakfast provided (nothing special but ample fruit, cereal, muffins and coffee). Friendly staff. Rooms are sparse; walls are paper thin between rooms; all hotel room doors slam when closed, shaking our room each time hotel guests come and go. $30 a day extra to park on-site plus valet tips adds up quickly. Except for the fabulous location, hotel guest room feels like a Motel 6 (and we had a partial ocean view deluxe room!)
Location It was an apartment converted to hotel ( I guess) . Hardwood floor when walking made screeching noise ... Also from top floor as well ... When the neighbor rooms use the restroom the water they use in shower or flushing sound was felt like it's happening next to you .. Had only swimming and not enough bikes so don't expect that you will be able to get one.. The telephone was not working ..
Attractive grounds The room was tiny and very hot with no air circulating. We had to check out.
Location, location, location Roommate couldn't get into room before 4pm when she arrived mid morning. Not sure what priorities are used to determine which room is cleaned first... was it because I booked through a travel metasearch engine rather than the hotel? Also really surprised that the printer needed a cartridge to print, and staff was not able to print our boarding passes on another printer.
Location, good beds. They charged a $30 a day for parking and a $15 resort fee. We stayed two nights so that was an unexpected extra $100. The next hotel we stayed at didn't play any of those games.
Location and bikes they provide Remodel going on upstairs from our room. Front desk never told us about it going on. Very noisy and they started at 7:45-7:00 pm
Location close to the ocean and nice comfort areas. The bathroom was old, probably needs new plumbing fixtures. Also the tiles were very slippery. Refrigerator wasn't working, and ice machines are located in remote areas of the hotel grounds. The room was hot and humid, might need central air to help with this problem.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Can't beat the location. Incredibly loud drilling, construction or something going upstairs woke us up at 7 AM and wouldn't stop. That was a fun surprise. Tried to call the front desk multiple times with no answer. Eventually got moved to a different room where it was quieter but the hot water more or less didn't work. Also in the new room the overhead light for some insane reason randomly turned on at 6 AM every single morning and woke us up. Pillows left us with aching necks. For the money, the quality of this hotel was impossibly shitty. Staff were very friendly and helpful but whoever owns/runs this place is coasting on the location alone and keeps the rooms in an embarrassing state. Would not stay here again or recommend it.
Very nice hotel with a friendly staff and in a great location. I will definitely stay again
helpful suggestions and cooperation with scheduling two blocks from the beach
Great location, great staff, great hotel
Local to event Very rude staff
Eagle Inn is an attractive, clean, and well-maintained property, and is close to Santa Barbara's happening spots. We were in room 102, right off the lobby, and adjacent to the breakfast room. At 7am every morning, there commenced from above and all sides such a clamor as to make sleeping past that hour impossible. Perhaps an upstairs room, away from the lobby would be better.
The bedroom was amazing, perfect for lovers. The staff to the lobby was not really warmful
Good location for the beach area, quiet aeea but close to action.Reception staff very helpful. Queen room quiet small.Breakfast very poor did complain about the variety and lack of key products.Expensive stay and it lacked value for money.
homeliness and location.
My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 days 2 nights as a getaway trip from work and we loved our little cottage! We booked the Santa Cruz Cantina and it was perfect for us! We loved the separate rooms and facilities within our own private little house. The only problem we had with our room was that the drains in the bathroom sink and bath tub didn't drain properly. The plug seemed to be stuck and had to be lifted/taken out by hand in order for water to drain.
A beautiful hotel with really nice comfortable rooms. In a great location only minutes away from the beach and a 10 minute walk from the main nightlife.
A quiete hotel located in walking distance to a number of good restaurants in the beach area.
Our family of four had a great time at the Eagle Inn. Lovely rooms & super bathrooms. Breakfast was prepared and served individually. They even had cruiser bikes available that we used to explore Santa Barbara, which, given the super location, was easy to do. We liked the place so much, so didn't mind that there was only one queen bed per room. Rooms are too small for two beds, but fine with one bed. We also had one person who couldn't have taken the stairs, and were lucky to have downstairs room. Not sure if there was an elevator, so visitors should check for availability of downstairs rooms.
The hotel felt old and worn out. The Wi-Fi didn't work consistently. The tub didn't drain and even a short shower resulted in standing in ankle deep water.
the staff was great, we were greeted with wine, we had to change rooms and they were very accommodating. there were little gnats or fruitflies in our rooms (we changed rooms and the fruitflies were there too)- the bathrooms could've been cleaner- the tub had hair in it and could use a little bleach in the corners
We had such a great time and were extremely pleased with the West Beach Inn! Everything about the hotel was perfect.....the staff, the room, the grounds and the pool were exceptional!
Bed was comfortable The walls are so thin that you hear conversations next door and people walking and even moving in their bed above you. If you stay here, at least insist on an upper level room.
free parking and free internet Very late breakfaste. 7.30 AM, I am on the road at this time
There was free parking, the hotel was near the places and restaurants we wanted to go to, it was also close to a gas station and a 7 Eleven. There was a free breakfast included in the price saving us time and money. The building has an elevator. The beds were very high and there were no bars in the restroom to help people with disabilities or Senior Citizens who have difficulty moving. There were no Senior Citizen or AARP discount rates.
good location worn and used building, quite noisy inside, breakfast not really good
Reception wasn't friendly Very poor shower, almost no running water
The room was really nice
spacious room dirty towel left from last guest
Location is good . Front desk staff are rude and unhelpful. I stayed once before but I'd forgotten how rude she was. If I would have remembered I would have never returned .
Beautiful place near the harbour. The hotel is located near the 101 road so too much traffic (continuous flow of cars and trucks going through). The place is definately too expensive for the location.
We wanted a to stay somewhere special for the last night of our holiday and we got exactly tht with this hotel. We booked a standard queen room but were fortunate to be upgraded to the Fireside Suite. This has a sitting room, king sized bedroom and two bathrooms, all beautifully decorated and with solid oak furniture. The hotel provides a luxury breakfast, complimentary bottle of champagne in the room, cheese & wine in reception early evening and milk and cookies at bedtime. A beautiful hotel and we'd happily stay there again - even without an upgrade. Nothing at all
Very cute little resort motel in very nice area of Santa Barbara.
Super friendly staff, newly remodeled bathroom, wine & cheese hour, clean room, late check-out, free parking & Internet, spacious room - they gave us the largest room! Couldn't sleep well because of the street noise - cars, motorcycles, delivery trucks, garbage pick-up
The ambiance of the entire facility Shower plumbing was not working properly slow drain. Was reported.
They could not write the company name in invoice.
It is a great comfortable place to stay. Bathroom could have been cleaner vents are very dirty need dusting and cleaning. Had a great time pool and spa are very nice and clean. Breakfast was good very relaxing and great location can walk pretty much everywhere. Bikes were nice too.
The room was comfortable and the hotel location is within easy walking distance from the beach, wharf, and downtown restaurants.
Our mattress was very old and misshappen. It was replaced after one night..however, this should not have happened in the first place..
A clean, comfortable motel with a good level of onsite car parking. Great afternoon complimentary wine & cheese and reasonable light breakfast. The staff were great and easy to deal with. A little "out on the fringe" with a 15 minute walk to Stearns Wharf/town centre shopping.
Walking along the beach. The continental breakfast, 4pm snacks and 8pm snacks.
The rooms were clean and comfy. The wine evening service and the breakfast were lovely. I thought the beds a bit too soft but the linens and amenities were nice.
big and beautiful room with kitchen, outside swimming pool and jacuzzi, close to the West Beach, free Cheese, Wine, Milk and Cookies in the evening simple breakfast in a very little room, not enoug tables for everyone, little bit far from statestreet (downtown) for dinner
I loved the warm spirit of all the staff. I have stayed nearby many times and when I could not get the reseravations for the 10days I needed, I went directly to Bookings.com, as we found you to be so accurate when we travels Europe year bfore last. I was not dissapointed. I grew up in Santa B arabaraSince I have ot go to Want aBarabar reuguarlry now, I plan to stay there again. It is funky but comfortable and within easy walkign distance of the Marina, the Wharf and downtonw SB. Great acces to super restuarants. I hate being nickeld and dimed,so I love that the bottleed water was free in the hospitality basket, filled with fruit, fresh baked bread &lots of goodies. Also they have free biclyles you can use, beach chairs, towles, ect
Excellent location, welcome basket, comfortable bed, free bicycles including helmets and locks and very welcoming, friendly owner.
The personal attention I received. Any concerns or requests were attended promptly. Most importantly, as a single female traveler I felt safe.
Luxurious bedding, pleasant decor in room, breakfast basket, quiet neighborhood, location near beach, helpful staff
Clean, well equipped kitchen, orderly premises and close to the beach. No "day curtains" on the windows. Passersby could look in.
I liked the anonymity offered by such a quaint and relaxing environment which made the trip very nice for people looking to get away. There seemed to be some noises coming from the vent. It sounded as though it may have been a critter, but I am not sure.
This hotel hit all the high points, staff was great, near the beach and all attractions of Santa Barbara, accomadations were quiet, comfortable and relaxed. I will definitely stay at Harbor House if I am ever again in Santa Barbara.
The staff was really helpful and pleasant, and the room was verywell kept and perfectly sized for a comfortable weekend. The courtyard outside and the cute patio is a nice touch. We loved the breakfast basket and the nice, large bathroom.
Customer service was great! Our room (King Suite with fireplace) was beautiful, super clean, with amenities beyond expected. We will definitely be stgaying here again!
Staff was very friendly, rooms were clean, beds were comfortable. Great value. Free movies, free bicycles, and free parking. I wish we could've stayed longer.
This hotel was majorly over priced for what effectively is a motel.Thay did try hard to add bits to make it a hotel but failed miserabley.its also close to a park thats full of homeless The room smelled funny
I loved the free bikes for rent, great touch
Great place to stay. Nice rooms and lovely atmosphere Nothing at all
So much to love about this inn... Offers an old Santa Barbara charm-early 20th century design that has been well mainted. Staff was exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable of the area (dining, wining, and local history). Continental breakfast in the morning and wine and cheese in the afternoon. Free beach cruiser bikes for use while staying and a vast selection of DVDs for viewing (also free). Complete with pool and hot tub (importantly hidden from street view. Just off the beach within easy waking distance to art, music, wine, food, Santa Barbara train station and fun (aka "the Funk Zone"). Loved our stay! Only suggestion is to include an updated cutting board for the kitchen. Original equipment is usually great but not in this particular case.
My newlywed husband and I got upgraded to a King Suite, it was perfect and in a great location!
Large room, comfortable beds Location near park with large amount of homeless people but close to the pier where we had dinner. We decided to drive, however, eventhough we could have walked due to the neighborhood. Continental breakfast was O.K.
The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is very well kept and the remodel was nicely done. Very good location, close to dining and shopping. You cant beat a 1 min walk to the beach! My wife and I enjoyed our stay and will be returning soon. Maybe next time we will borrow a couple of the beach cruisers and ride along the beach. Nothing
Very friendly and dedicated staff; breakfast included hot and cold items and was well-stocked with friendly service; pool area was nice and water was kept very warm; beds were comfortable, room felt spacious for a family; sliding glass doors to patio did an amazing jobof blocking street noise. We would definitely stay here again.
Clean, walking distance from the beach, close to downtown Santa Barbara, good price, free breakfast Motel style with exterior doors, could hear neighbors coming and going (this was not actually very disruptive), slow wifi
Location Pool didn't open until 9:00!!
Great location/service and friendly staff.
Staff, room, pool, location good breakfast. Liked it so much going back in December for long week-end.
Hotel is clean, great location, well kept, staff is friendly and helpful. None. I would definitely stay here again.

Location. My room was in the front of the property which was loud at times with cars and pedestrians. The parking lot can be dark and desolate.
location. distance from the beach was great. not enough reserved parking. there was no carpet in the hotel room, which made the room much colder. the bedside lamp didn't work properly, and there were cracks in the tiles on the bathroom/shower walls. the lighting in the room was insufficient.
We liked the cleanliness and 'retro' look of the windows. The bed was very comfortable and there were reading lights on each side of the bed. The light over the sink was strong enough to see what one was doing, rather than just cast shadows. minor: I like a flat pillow and they were all fluffy.
Location near marina. Dog Friendly. Staff were great. MINOR improvement: Parking stalls were snug fit. Glad there was enclosed parking; wish the stalls were larger.
Within walking distance to the beach and excellent restaurants. Room was clean and comfy. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Warm, friendly, convenient, comfortable, clean
Clean and easy access to room...accepted pets. super skimpy breakfast for a place that bills itself as a B&B or Inn
Excellent location, very helpful friendly staff, good value for money. Would definitely recommend. No coffee/tea making facilities in room.
Location and good bed There was no reserved parking and not enough spaces for guests.
