My flight was delayed for one day. The given telephone number for SIXT was non responsive. Found another number on google and reported the delay. When I arrived the next day, my car was gone and the only option offered was for me to rent a larger, more expensive car at 70% extra on top of what I initially was going to pay. On my previous two trips to Holland I had similar delays with cars rented through different companies, and they set me up with other (upgraded) cars at no extra expense..Reviewed Apr 16 2023

Misleading "Register Early To Choose Vehicle Early" emails. Long line @ check-in. Long walk from check-in counter to actually pick up vehicle. Rented Pugeot SUV was a disappointment. No cruise control (!), no intermittent wipers, manual pump to raise/lower seats, poor headlights (need to use high beams), hesitancy upon acceleration from stop.Reviewed Feb 1 2023

Car was not available although I got a booking CONFIRMATION from Sixt/Kayak. When at the counter, the employee told me it is not a confirmation but merely and "agreement" that the customer can go to the counter. Car proposed was over 2x inital cost. I have NEVER ever had to pay extra when upgraded because the original class was not available and I travel a lot. Insurance was insane at 45 Euro/day. I ended booking with Avis, they had a car and honoured their quote. Not the first time I am having issue with Sixt and will try to stay away from them.Reviewed Sep 13 2022
