A better explanation if the charges. We were charged when we picked up the car then again when we returned the car. After a day the charges were sorted and only what we should have been charged was made to our credit card.Reviewed May 13 2023

The pick up was kinda chaotic, the vehicle was awesome, the return was very chaotic, vehicles were left on a single lane with nobody around to collect the vehicle or anything. We walked all the way back to the counter when we picked up the vehicle, while we were standing there one older gentleman was cleaning the floor and a younger gentleman was trying to get things going and told us he would be right with us. It took him about 10 minutes to get things going and we handed him the paper work and the keys and asked us if there was anyone down stairs, I told him no except a whole row of vehicles. He handed us the paper work back and kept the key and said you're all good. When we arrived in Dublin I've got an email stating that I left the car and didn't handed over the keys and they couldn't move the vehicle. I emailed them back that I got there at 6:30am nobody was down stairs so I walked upstairs and handed over the key. By the time I got back to Los Angeles I received another email stating nobody had the key and could describe the person I handed the key over to, so far I haven't heard back from them, but to that was a pretty strange experience to say at least. To whom it concerns, There was a problem with my booking as my Dutch name "Henk Pieper" was mentioned there by mistake. My documents refer to me as "Avraham Pieper" everything else was in order. The Lithuanian person (I don't recall his name) at the Europecar desk 21:00 NL time was not willing to help. He just said sorry sir but this is company policy you can not have the car. I tried calling the UK number for help but was put endlessly in the waiting que. I was forced to rent an additional car at addional expenses at Sixt as the Lituanian guy couldn't rent me another car as none was available (mine was!!!) This is the worse case of customer service I have experienced in a long time of travelling and expect for proper action to be taken. Looking forward to your prompt reply. Wrong Car, Wrong Insurance, Big HeadacheCons:When I arrived, the car I booked wasn't available. The car they replaced it with was too small for our group, so we were stuck cramped in a tight space and having to shuttle back and forth for our whole trip. I asked for full insurance coverage and only received basic coverage. Now they say there is a small scratch on the bumper and have charged 850 euros to my credit card for the damage.
