Cons:I was not able to extend the contract for another 2 weeks online and had to go to the office.
We have booked electric car. Car was Jaguar I-Pace, excellent car. All other staff from Sixt were terrible. - the documents and receipt has not been provided and even sent by email as has been promised. - car was completely dirty - there has NON instructions or Manuals for Electric car been provided at all. - at Netherlands there are a thousands of charging stations, but almost ALL of them require Personal Charging Card. It is not possible to buy it or order. Because SIXT did not provide it to us - we could not charge the car and must drive it not to where we need, but where was some charging station accepted APP with Credit card... When we put car on charger, we hired taxi to go to out stay place... and next day taxi to go to charge back... Overall, it was absolutely terrible experience with absolutely NO help from SIXT> They said - we were UNLUCKY !!!!.
Pros:Excellent car, super quick drop off process
It could have been much better if someone had remembered to give me a card to charge the car. I was left totally stranded in the province Groningen, not able to use the charging stations. My two credit cards (MC and Visa) were not recognized here in NL. I had to depend on total strangers to charge the car. Friends had to step up to to connect me to their bank account for a card. The lady at the Appingedam Hyundai Garage helped to apply for a card. Something to be learned Sixt! On a lighter note, I loved the car.
The return of the vehicle was while the place was closed. We were told to park the vehicle on the street and pay for parking. The issue was that no parking was available within walking distance to drop off the car key. After 2 hours of driving around and wasting gas we found a spot but now had to fuel up. Due to celebrations and road closures we had to drive 5 km away to find a gas station. By the time we returned no parking spots were available again so we wasted more time and money driving around. Recommend having a dedicated parking spot or number to call to have someone show up and take possession of the vehicle.
I prepaid the entire cost of the rental only to have Sixt bill me extra.
Cons:Had computer system difficulties, then poor communication between front desk and pick-up area. Finally worked it out, but did not instill confidence in company as a whole. Nice car, fair price.
Poor service, No recognition of corporate discounts or other discounts. Cancelled confirmed type of vehicle and had to accept upgrade of not rent. Took advantage of lack of rental cars to jack up pricing. Will never be renting from them again.
Pros:Car was very clean inside and out, and ran well.
Cons:Very long wait at rental counter and later in garage to actually get keys and go (~1 hour from arrival at counter before I could drive away). Underage driver fee applied and cost more per day than the daily rental rate.
Pros:Nothing at all
Cons:Sixt does not rent in Greece to people with only a North American drivers' license This was stated somewhere in small print, so legally I did not have a leg to stand on when I was stuck with a full family and 5 large pieces of luggage on a hot Cretan airport. Luckily, Hertz helped us out.
