The person well checked me in was very nice. Other than her all the staff that I encountered was unfriendly and some even rude. The breakfast is toast and waffles with butter Rude staff, specifically the breakfast staff who are super rude.
The hotel was renovated, so the facilities were very good, the room was nice. However: -the service is terrible. -the keys keep losing their connection, and we had to go back to the desk even twice a day to recharge them (or whatever they do) -you can hear absolutely everything going on in the next room and some nights it went on ALL NIGHT. horrible. And it was due to the fact that the only thing dividing the rooms are doors that do not seal. - the breakfast ends at 9 (at 9! for people on vacation) and they never told us that during check in. they actually did not give us ANY information, and there is nothing in the rooms to see the services they have or to have information about the hotel, which is very strange, as all hotels do. So good facilities is not enough.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and spacious. The shuttle to the port was convenient. Later(12) check out. The shuttle to the airport didn't match our time frame.

Nothing, except the lady from housekeeping, she was the only person that was very polite and helpful. They disconnect our phone and wifi a day before we left. Had to call my sons from home to tell them why they disconnect our line, I tried to tell the receiptiinesst about the problem and she was so rude, and said it's working don't know what else to tell you. We will never returned, and make sure that none of our families or friends stay there. We don't want them to have the same experience we had. We do not recommend it The personal at the front desk, and the personal at the buffet, very rude, not helpful and didn't even acknowledge the guests. We had some issues and they weren't willing to help or solve the problem
Really cold rooms. Staff were nice. Right next to the Metrorail and Sunset mall. Bedding wouldn't stay on. There were stains on the walls. Internet is extremely slow.

Hotel staff asked us to wait for 20 mins for the other person to come for the shift and check in. Rooms are worst with cockroach in the bathrooms and bad smell in the room. Breakfast time is 7 to 9 but you will get nothing if you go at 8:15.
Some renovation are being done, lthe obby looks good two shopping malls near by...we walked to one and took the train to the other.. Mold in the ceiling in the bed and bathrooms Awful breakfast. ..powered eggs...generic cereal. .. shuttle complete sucked. ...waited an hour at the airport before it reach... then the driver had to drop his friend off.... they only had a schedule on Saturday for the shuttle. ..it was never there when you wanted to go to the mall....wifi did not work when you have an outside room...ac was either very cold of hot ...couldn't be adjusted
Very disgusting couldn't have picked a worse place to stay the drapes were covered with mold.The Tvs were very limited.The temperature in the room has to be kept below 65 or everything in the room will be drenched. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone!!!!
This was one of the worst hotels I ever stayed in. The service was terrible, the room smelled like mold and there was a leak in the ceiling. We complained about the leak and it never got fixed. Our door was left open after housekeeping "cleaned" the room. The sheets were not changed everyday; it was hard to get fresh towels and housekeeping only spoke spanish.

The room was spacious and the bed comfy, but the bathroom!? I loved the decor and fixtures. It was like a mini spa and I wished I could have stayed longer to utilize the pool and work out room. Would definitely stay again.

Super comfortable beds The airport shuttle experience. I was told it would be 15-20 minutes, I waited about an hour before just taking an Uber from the airport to the hotel. And when taking the shuttle back to the airport, the driver was unfriendly.

The front desk lady had told me that no additional cost were going to be made, but when I got to my final destination I saw my credit card being charged 50$

The hotel was nice and staff was very friendly. There are lots of restaurants and shops within a 5 minute walk. I would definitely stay here again. Parking was very expensive. We opted for the valet vs. the self park as there was only a small difference. Valet service was lovely. No complimentary beach towels at the pool.
Location is great, clean, well appointed. Pool area was nice. Very nice lobby and bar. I wish the negative side had not occurred. Arrived at midnight after flight delays to find out that they had given my room away. SOLD OUT! No call or email ahead to inform. They put us up for the night at Courtyard Marriott, this was their idea of complementary (Similar) room, with many other high quality hotels near by I found it insulting. Next day they did make it up by upgrade and other perks. Being this is the first time this happens to me, I was shocked.
I had a King bed room for one night, and the room was spotless, with a clean and well equipped bathroom, as well as a very comfortable bed. The size of the room was perfect. The hotel is extremely well maintained, in despite of not being a new structure. The location is ideal, not too far from the airport. For the rate I paid, and the quality of treatment I received, I find it a bargain. I will make the Hyatt my place to stay when visiting Miami for a couple of nights, instead of staying near the airport. The best of the hotel, however, is the staff: courteous, amicable, sincerely willing to assist you in any problem. That makes the difference quite often.

The people working were loud and inconsiderate. I wasn't able to sleep. Also, there was a roach in the bathroom.
I liked the location of the hotel itself I had young children, and the hotel did not provide any channels so that my kids can watch TV, it seems like the hotel is a stop over for adult only entertainment, my neighbor handling his business with his lady friend and it could be heard, I'm just glad my kids were sleeping at the time. Bathrooms were way too small, not enough amenities.

Other that it was great and I will stay again. We found this nice cafe/liguor store bar right down the street serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
The hotel transportation was speeding and scary. when we got there we saw two cockroaches in the lobby. On our way to the room we heard some very loud sexual activity that I am almost positive was paid for. The room had stains all over the carpets and bedding and the shower was extremely dirty. Worst place I've ever stayed.

Location Parking is very limited - There is no elevator - Wifi is very weak, only in the lobby you can get some connection - The room had only one outlet - Once past the lobby it feels like you are in the getto and it is kind of scary - we were given a room that was ready and when I open the door the room was not clean, the bed was not made and there was trash lying around.

The hotel itself is very special and very beautiful. It is a completely unique property, one that is a welcome break from all the chains. Both the food and the service at the restaurants were outstanding. Though nearly everything at the hotel was 4-5 star, the room itself was about a 3 star. It was bland and the quality of the bed, furnishings, towels, decor, etc. seemed cheap.
Gracious, pleasant, relaxing -- just what I needed after a very busy summer. . I would have liked a simpler, less complicated breakfast.

We love the history, the architecture and the location. We looked forward to this our entire lives! The overall experience was not good. There were no good options for casual dining. Just poolside, with a very limited menu and LOTS of cigar smoke OR the golf club, totally undesirable very man club-ish. We ended up ordering a very pricey pizza and very mediocre Caesar salad in the room. Forget a glass of wine for room service, it was $19.There was grime in the shower exhaust fan and mold on the ceiling shower. ewwww! Some of the property was in disrepair.

Our daughter's fairy tale wedding reception was held here two years ago. My husband and I promised ourselves that we would return for our own romantic stay. We were not disappointed and loved every minute - the luxury, pampering, beautiful grounds, wonderful food. A dream come true!
This is probably the most beautiful hotel I've ever stayed in, with European elegance at a reasonable price. We had a delicious meal at the "Fontana" restaurant, and the hotel staff was generally excellent. It is the architectural centerpiece of the Coral Gables neighborhood, and within a short drive of "Miracle Mile" shopping. Oh, and self-parking is free! The room was a bit small, but the view was worth it!
Gym, Pool, ambiance i was on floor 11 which is small and they used it as a closet - staff were having their meetings there in front of the room, then also kept their cleaning carts in front of the room all day, blocking my room, kept the linen closet room open with a stand so it looked liked i was in the service quarters. it ruined the experience. Then at the pool the waitress took my key, returned the wrong key, I was stuck out of my room, then had to go to front desk, wait for a very long time for that elevator
It was what I needed - somewhere to sleep in between flights. Nothing extraordinary but a bed and a bathroom. Good that they had shuttle service in the morning. McDonalds just across the road. Breakfast only served between 8.30 and 9.30. For those with an early flight it is impossible to make it. Very thin door to the corridor.

The location was perfect. 0.9 miles from the airport and only 11 miles from the beach. I loved the size of the room. Slept 4 people easily, with two king beds and a great amount of floor space and bathroom space. The rooms were also so clean! And on top of all that the room was only $99 per night! Best hotel by far The breakfast could have been alittle better.
It was near the airport and there was a shuttle, but there are many many others. Dirty hallways, pizza delivery menus on the floor outside the door to the room, tacky decorations, a big metal board at the base of the bed for no apparent reason. And when I pulled the covers off the bed, the sheets were completely full of stains, debris, and little hairs. DISGUSTING. I've never left a hotel room before in my life, but I left right away. Even if they changed the sheets, I wouldn't want to sleep or shower in a place like that. As of now, hotels.com has not refunded me.

This location was fine for a quick overnight stay between flights. The location and the hotel were quite adequate and the bed was comfortable. Pizza ads were under our door upon our arrival. After a long day traveling, we ordered in, but they didn't show for over an hour and a half with a simple order, after we walked to IHOP for food. We'd suggest this hotel stop this establishment from leaving these ads. Multiple reviews online we later found showed this was a continued issue with lackluster food.

I like that the shuttle van picked us up from the airport and gave us info on how to get to the port of Miami for our cruise. The staff was very nice and informative. The breakfast should include eggs though, other than that, everything was great!
I only stayed for a night during a layover and everything was pretty good. I liked that there was a shuttle, so it made it easier for me to get to and from the hotel in a less than 10 minute drive. The front desk people were all very nice and helpful. It would be helpful if somewhere on the confirmation email it emphasized that the shuttle had to say HOLIDAY INN and SLEEP INN in order to get in. Another lady and I were upset as we had to keep asking different shuttles which one would take us to our destination. It was a late night when the shuttle driver picked me up so I understand he was probably tired, but he did not have to be so rude. Instead of getting out of the car or rolling down his window to talk to me, he used confusing body language that I did not understand so that seemed to upset him. He did not greet me or say anything when I was in the car. I put my bags away and took them out of the car without his help. Besides that little incidence, my stay was great. I would definitely return again during a layover.

The hotel is clean, close to Miami airport, and the WiFi is excellent. The hotel is a bit dated, rooms are clean but slightly musty, only one available computer to browse/print boarding passes.
The location. I was wakened in the morning by noise from the room above me. The room's safe didn't work. The light above the bathroom mirror didn't work, even after the repairman said he had fixed it. The bed pillows were miniature and uncomfortable. The room could use a new paint job and cleaner floors. The Wifi was unable to connect me. The room's view was blocked by a huge machinery shed on the roof.

Bed was poor quality. i cannot understand that the mutiny doesn't oblige its residents to put carpets under chairs and beds. moving chairs make a lot of noise. ive noticed this on several occasions. not sure I will return.

This place is very fancy, clean, quiet(even though we booked while restorations were being done). It's a like a secluded get away. I loved staying here. The staff and security were very friendly and always spoke when you pass by. You have to pay to park even though you're a guest at the hotel and if you plan on going in and out it cost you more then the overnight $24 fee so if you plan on going out in your car I suggest planning it into your trip.

They could not get the AC working properly
The best part about my stay at Aloft was the service I received from the bar tender (Rafael Medina). I had previously missed my flight and chose Aloft as a place to stay through my Kayak app. It had been a long day of traveling and I was not looking forward to extending it another day. Once I sat down I was immediately served with a good attitude since he could tell I wasn't in the best mood. I was rudely on the phone with my father during most of my time at the bar but this did not stop him from giving service with a smile. After my phone call I had an awesome conversation about my travels and felt overall welcome. I am glad I chose Aloft over the rest of the options and will gladly come back next time I am in Miami.

Got to room, work desk too high to efficiently work on laptop. Poor Handicap person would have terrible shower experience as did I. I have been stuck with handicap rooms before but the design and layout made this the most uncomfortable room I have ever been in. Nothing like a good strong hot shower to get you going in the morning, well that wasn't possible. Still have to get the shampoo out of my hair now that I am back at a Hyatt Place.

Overall the accommodations were nice. The room was in nice shape and was clean. The TV had many channel options and the bathroom was modern. Very well priced for the area that it is in and the room was modern (maybe remodeled in the past 1 or 2). The parking area is small and althought the hotel is technically in Coconut Grove, you are several walking blocks from the restaurant and shopping areas. This hotel is right off of US 1, so the traffic is hectic during rush hour times.

This Hotel property offers many amenities that most others at this price range do not offer. It's very close to being a full service property. There customer relation skills are second to none. Housekeepers were quite annoying and persistent.

The beds were exceptional as was the staff. They were all wonderful to us - we were stranded in Miami waiting for a flight - not knowing whether it would go - due to bad weather. We could not ask for nicer people to help us out!!!!! The hotel could use some updating BUT their staff makes up for any deficiencies. A perfectly good reasonally-priced facility for short-term stay.

It was close to the airport, free "breakfast", free shuttle service, free wifi. The breakfast was terrible. We couldn't even eat the "eggs" and all the bread was stale. I would compare it to gas station food. Pre-packaged everything. When we arrived there were no luggage carts and the employees were kind of annoyed that I would even ask and offered no help, they just watched us struggle. The room was pretty clean but the common areas were not. If you just need a bed for the night, it's a good price but I wouldn't recommend it for an extended stay.

Read what I didn't Like instead because there is nothing good to be said about this hotel. I booked my room online and got my booking confirmation number and everything. When I get there (at around 11pm because my flight to MIA landed @ 10) They tell me that they have cancelled my reservation because i didnt show up before 6pm. THIS WAS INDICATED NOWHERE!!!!!!!!!
The hotel is near shopping mall and stores. There was no fridge and microwave in the room. These are upon request and against payment. Other 3-star hotels offer these facilities for free. We were 3 guests in the room and had to ask front desk for an extra bath towel (there were only two in the room) and also bath towel (we did not receive ANY in the room). They told us they were out of bath towel because the hotel was full. There were NO bath math in the bathroom. House keeping was out of bath mat!! Too high price for such poor facilities.
Low cost Toilet clogged every day and it was always hard to find parking at night within the hotel territory. A bit far from everywhere and must have a car to go anywhere in Miami.

Came for a weekend trip, just stayed one night. Nice building, pretty decorations. Staff was nice, great complimentary hot breakfast. They share a pool with the place next door, and we took a nice night time swim. Rooms were clean and tidy, nice to have a mini fridge and other kitchen things. Location was okay -- not great but not too far from everything. Overall was an excellent visit. We asked to check in early, and they said we only could if we joined their program -- not a big deal, but clearly rooms were clean and ready but they didn't want to let us in a few hours early unless we joined up.
Rooms were large, with comfortable bedding, and ample closet, but bathroom could use a bit more space. For the location just a couple of blocks from Alhambra Circle and Coral Way, and easily accessible to MIA, the rates are a great value. Found and killed a tiny cockroach as soon as we walked in the room. Common in Miami, and didn't see any others indoors afterwards, but didn't give a good first impression. Otherwise, they'd have gotten a higher rating.

One of the elevators was out of order, so there were long waits. In our first room the air conditioner did not work and there was no mini fridge. The air conditioning on the floor of the second room did not work but did in the room. We were sweating while waiting on the one working elevator. The indicator lights in the working elevator did not work so there was confusion if the elevator was going up or down and what floor it had stopped at. The breakfast was ok but they could not keep it stocked. As soon as they brought out food it was gone immediately. The rooms were clean and it was quiet but not up to Hampton Inn standers.
I needed a hotel close to the airport and wasn't expecting to find something So quiet and comfortable with class. The pillows & down comforter were heavenly. I didn't have enough time to enjoy everything.
The man who checked us in, I can't recall his name, was very helpful. He made it his business to go above and beyond. I booked online and the reservation was not sent through the company. This gentleman had it fixed in minutes. He was professional, helpful and spoke highly of the facilities. He assured us of our safety, during hurricane Matthew. He told us of hurricane windows and a generator. )3 was very helpful, and eased our minds. The carpet was not vacuumed in our room. Otherwise it was clean.
The breakfast bar was wonderful. And the pool area was very nice. The surrounding area was not as nice as I would have liked. Also wish all of the staff would have spoken English. It felt a bit like being in a foreign country.
I waited 1.5 hrs for the airport shuttle and the breakfast was very unhealthy and the air conditioner was old and loud.
Location was great, so many nice restaurants and shops within walking distance. Room was large and clean, kitchen was well equipped. Breakfast buffet had a nice variety of choices. I paid for my stay when I booked it through Kayak. After coming home I realized the hotel charged me AGAIN when I checked in. It took 3 calls for the hotel to admit they had made a mistake and refund my card. Pretty big error that really tainted our otherwise pleasant experience. Our 3 room cards all deactivated on our second day. We tried one immediately upon getting them fixed at the front desk and it did not work.. Another deactivated again after we made extremely cautious efforts to keep it away from phones and credit cards.
The staff was the best. So friendly yet professional. We didn't like the pool and were disappointed. Definitely needs a remodeling. Too out there in the parking lot in the sun. Needs some canopies and foliage.
