The gentleman working the counter in Spokane has excellent customer service skills!!!! Our car was clean and drove well. The rental price was also the best price after searching other car rental companies. I would recommend Kayak for all your car rental needs.

I loved the fact all the staff in Spokane were friendly, courteous and very helpful. I was traveling with a friend needing wheelchair assistance - staff assisted load the car with luggage as well as assist my friend.in and out of the car. The SUV was clean and well serviced. Staff assisted set up the GPS in the car. Upon return staff were efficient and quick so we could arrive at the airline desk quickly and on time. I cannot think of anything I would improve upon. The cost was more than acceptable and reasonable. I would definitely use Thrifty again and am more than willing to share my experience and recommend Thrift to any of my contacts.

Pros:

Alamo representative Debbie at the Spokane airport was very friendly and helpful. She assisted me with changing my reserved vehicle type. The vehicle was wonderful, so comfortable and easy to drive.

Cons:

I changed my requested vehicle type at the counter, which cost an additional $134.00. This was about $50.00 higher than if I had made the reservation that day, and even higher than other rental companies at the airport. Because I would have had a $100.00 fee to cancel my original reservation, I choose just to pay for the higher than average upgrade fee. Taught me a lesson to only reserve no fee cancellation vehicles.

The reservation, pick up and drop off all went without a hitch. Easy and hassle free. The staff was ready for me and made everything easy. Debbie was great to work with!! I showed up earlier than my reservation and they got me in a car early and extended my rental by one day without any issues. Staff was great!! Overall experience was great!! Would defintely rent from Alamo again.

Cons:

I drove a 2017 Dodge Charger with 2000 miles. Overall the car was great, but the USB ports would work off and on. This was frustrating and was hard when I needed to charge my phone. Also the main screen froze once and I had to pull over and turn the car off and back on. When it froze I was unable to control the volume, A/C etc. This must be a glitch that Dodge needs to address.

Not a good experience. From the unending attempts to upsell, the missing customer info, and ultimately giving us a vehicle that broke down on us, the experience at GEG Hertz was miserable. Both vehicles (Jeep Gladiators) experienced death wobble which kept us fighting to stay on the road and on schedule.

My car is original drop off. Location was changed at pick up to be dropped off at Spokane international airport and picked up at Spokane international, my original booking was to pick my car up at Spokane international and drop my car off at Gallatin Bozeman airport.

Nice, new car. Quick service downtown.

Cons:

The Spokane airport location wouldn’t rent me a car and I had to Uber downtown to pick up. They gave me a car with Canadian plates and a metric speedometer, so it was difficult to judge speed. Rental was very expensive and they nickel and dime you for insurance coverage. Even the basic, minimal plan is a gouge.

I was able to choose the exact car I wanted and was even able to reserve a cooler and boogie board to use for the week. The car was in like-new condition. The free shuttle was convenient, fast and the drivers were nice. The location was a little bit further from the airport, but it wasn't a problem.

It was the first time we rented via Turo, so I don't have a good base reference to compare in general, and can only compare to car rental experiences with commercial fleets (like Budget or Enterprise). In general it was okay -- we made it to where we were going and back, with no major issues. It's doable. However, there were some "surprises" where things didn't quite got as we expected: * We made rental reservation with expectation that we're picking up at the airport. When we got there, it turned out that the car is not at the airport, and the address given to us turned out to be what seemed to be Portland's airport Fire Rescue Tower (where, obviously, we can't even walk to or be at). We called the owner, and turned out that the car is at some house that's "not far" from the airport, and gave us new address. So additional expense of taking Uber/Lyft to get to the car (and apparently that address exists in two neighboring towns, and somehow Uber/Lyft took us first to the wrong one, so we had to take another ride, but that's not a Turo issue, just more expense as a consequence of car not being at the airport as promised). * When we got there, we called the owner to get the keys: "-- Keys are under front door's floormat. -- Nope, they're not there. -- Then try mailbox? -- Yes, they're there." The owner wasn't there, which is okay to do this all remote, but would be nicer if owner was in general "on top of things" such as where the car is and where it is expected to be picked up, where exactly are its keys, etc. * Then owner requested that prior to return we take the car to be washed and cleaned inside and out. We neither planned on looking for car detailing places in Portland, nor for time that it would take away from sightseeing, nor for extra substantial expense it would be. We pushed back and the owner backed off saying that he'll let it go due to confusion with pickup location (and apparently he didn't send some email that he was supposed to send, or something along those lines). * And while the car wasn't too dirty, it wasn't clean to begin with (which made detailing request that more amusingly odd). Crumbs on floor and seats and luggage compartment. Worst part was that windshield was dirty on the inside that was minor unpleasant at daytime, but as driving progressed into night time, it was quite significant as it was blurring lights and affected visibility substantially. * We also added additional driver thru Turo and let the owner know. The owner requested that we send him picture of drivers license directly to him. We refused (as it didn't seem right, given that Turo is the one that manages that aspect) and he backed off. * Of course, additional expense of Uber/Lyft after return drop-off as we weren't dropping it off at the airport as originally planned. So all in all we probably spent additional $50-60 in Uber/Lyft for getting to and from cars location instead of it being in the airport, and lost about 3+ hours for dealing with additional unplanned travel. The rest was okay. Car drove fine and didn't give any problems.
