Very nice, clean and comfortable rooms. Great breakfast and very friendly staff. We stayed here one night b/c it was close to the airport and it was a very nice stay. Nothing to complain about.
Location to airport; room very well appointed; whilst there, we complained about the car hire firm, but firm turned out efficient Bathroom shower design allows water to flow all over bathroom floor
Nice, clean rooms, newly decorated. Liked the shuttle to the airport.
confortable and nice decor. I only stayed a few hours on transit to Tel Aviv airport but it was worth it as it was a very short stay I asked if I could had my breakfast in a package but it was not possible. Coffee and cake was offered though as early as 5am
Great experience of israeli kablanim ! Wished, we had one like this with our shiputz! Very good idea to integrate a small hotel in a canyon nice rooms, very clean, no reason to complain None, well yes, the information from the homepage where we yould find your ..... to be honest, we did not and had to phone you....
A comfortable hotel with attractive interior, close to Ben Gurion airport. Friendly staff and spacious rooms. The location is convenient for the airport, but the immediate surroundings are of little interest.
Very pleasant, welcoming staff; exceptionally clean and modern; attractive interior and furnishings; free parking
Close to Airport. 1. Location extremely difficult to find. 2. No place to pull up and unload luggage. 3. Parking garage difficult to locate, far from entrance to hotel. 4. A very long way from parking to hotel which is on 3rd floor of mini mall. 5. Staff very rude, unhelpful and uncaring. 6. Mattress very soft and flimsy. 7. Hair found in shower upon arrival. 8. Toilet had not been flushed upon arrival.
15 min from the airport, clean room, good breakfast
clean-close to airport-comfortable -
Nice new facility. The rooms were very nice and the staff was nice. I did not receive the wake up call that I requested. This could have had distrous consequences as our flight was scheduled for 8:15 am. Also, I did not receive a print out of our receipt as the printer/computer was not working. I requested a copy by mail. It was difficult to know to go to the back of the complex for the hotel.
Loved the rooftop pool and the clean, well appointed room. Good location adjacent to the independance park and beach. lifts were small and slow, often walked 11 floors - would be frustrating for older / less mobile guests
its what I expected. was comfortable and good value for the money.
Notrhing, and I will never be back Reception people
Ditto. Rooms a bit small.
location to the beach
The staff was very helpful when we asked for directions and information. We thought the meals were costly and the hotel overnight fee also a bit high.
The view the only thing bed separated in the middle not together
Pleasant hotel. Has business people, travel tours and families on the weekend. Breakfast is good. Location is good - 2 blocks to the beach. Hotel is clean and rooms are ample size.
It would need some refurbishment, on the facades as well as the entrance hall. Rooms were ok, very clean, which is the most important thing, but otherwise not especially nice. I would have expected something a tiny little bit more modern for the price.
very warm welcome, friendly and helpful staff and perfectly located for all that i wanted to do. will definitely book again,.
hotel is in a good location breakfast is excellent but i expect at least the carpets to be clean when you walk on them in the room .
Location The staff does not know how to tend to customers. I left my AMEX card on the desk at the counter and I called to tell them and before I could even finish asking if he found it he said he doesn't have it. I proceeded and asked if he could please check before he says he doesn't have it then finally he checked after 3 phone calls to the front desk. The staff does not care about its guests and overall customer service lacks tremendously. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.
Room was clean and hotel was recently refurbished. Reception staff was friendly and helpful, which is a rare find in Israel, from our experience of a week-long holiday in the country. My partner is a wheelchair user. We called the hotel beforehand to ensure that the room and the hotel was fully accessible, as advertised online. On arrival, a car was parked in front of the wheelchair ramp and when we finally got into our room, the bathroom door was too narrow for a wheelchair to fit through and no adjustments had been made to the showerroom whatsoever. We were only planning to stay the one evening anyway but if we had arranged to stay longer we wouldn't have checked out immediately. This should not be advertised as a wheelchair accessible hotel.
It is a small hotel so it is intimate, no mass and quiet
The price is low for the area, which is nice. They have three bicycles which you can borrow for free. The location is very close to the beach (2 blocks) and public transportation is convenient to this location. The room was very small. The front desk staff were inconsistent in their helpfulness, Some did not know much about the area (surprisingly) and could not offer dining suggestions. The phone in the room could not call out. You have to call the front desk and ask them to place calls for you.
great roof garden , pretty good location, good A/C, poor towels , lovely and helpful reception staff tiny tiny rooms, no bellhops, no luggage drop off at hotel door, confined feeling, horrid demolished building attached , no parking , room for sure for one person only
very friendly staff, good facilities, close to different transport modes, local airport, bus, train breakfast is good but could give more divercity
Non-smoking, modern, clean, well appointed room for any price. Helpful desk staff. Free bicycles available. Very convenient to walk to markets, beaches and the newer port area. Would highly recommend. The only thing that was different from my expectations on the internet was the half demolished building attached to the hotel. Just an eyesore, but a little shock when the cab pulled up. The hotel was as good or better than I expected.
excellent breakfest, small but everything we liked... super cereals, fresh juice, espresso, relatively noisy streets around the hotel as everywhere in TLV near to the beach and the windows should be much more sound-proof (not for people which need absolute silence during the night)
I liked that it was near to transport& promenade. The room was very comfortable and cosy. The staff were very helpful. We will definitely come again.
Still new. Convenient location - easy access to beaches and catering.
Rooms very nice. Location great for beach and port. Parking not available and no arrangements with local parking.
Location for Money--this area of Tel Aviv is very busy but the renovation of a former apartment building was very carefully done so there is virtually no noise--if you want good street and people views take the balcony suites
Perfect location, nice rooms, no noise at night, nice balcony, close to the beach, close to shopping and nice restaurants, good breakfast. Everything we hoped for traveling with a small child.
Great location just 100 m off beach. Nice and cosy Italian cafe.
Large bedroom, well equipped kitchen area.
That it was near the city center, in the crowded area next to the shops, very helpful for me too much noise from the main road, traffic and horns
I liked the location. It was close to the beach and on top of all the shops, bars, supermarkets, chemists, banks etc. the staff were very friendly and immediately acted upon a situation that needed sorting out. before my trip, my emails and phone calls were dealt with immediately and i didnt have to wait hours or days for replies. everything in the kitchen area of the room was easy and straightforward to use. I have no real complaints. I think there should have been an iron in the room but i know if i wanted to use one, they would have made it available. I think the towels could have been slightly better quality.
We felt very welcome, and were impressed by the restaurant and the great choice of breakfast. We did a fair bit of sightseeing and the directions we got from the staff were clear and accurate. The suite was perfect for our needs and was clean, the upstairs balcony was a delight to sit and soak up the city. The location of the suites is fantastic, a short stroll to the promenade and great for shopping! The bedroom downstairs did not have a door.
Free WiFi. Good breakfast. Helpful staff.
The breackfast at the attached restaurant is very nice and tasty, the hotel is walking distance fom the beach and city center. Very noisy location, you must sleep with windows shut. Cleaning need impruvment! No doors between the"2" rooms, if you choose a suit
Helpfulness on Front Desk--surrounded by good shopping and excellent restaurants--excellent food and service at the Marco outdoor Cafe--breakfast is included in rate and has a variety of choices
Helpful staff, lovely breakfast, attractive (if smallish) room in an attractive part of North Tel Aviv. Unless you are planning on having large gatherings in your bedroom, it was a wonderful choice. There are lending bicycles, they even provide beach bags for you...though you still have to remember your swim suit, and take the 5 minute walk to the beach.
Close to the sea (2 minutes walking)
Noisy , room facing the street. No gym as promised in the web site.
the staff was very friendly and helpful. breakfast should start earlier than seven o clock.the reason being is that the tour company picks you up at seven fifteen.
Close to the sea with reasonable price Bathroom was a little dusty
breakfast was a little bit odd
A great location, very clean, most helpful staff and good breakfasts No dislikes...all positives!!!
It is well located, clean, comfortable, small, intimate, friendly. The staff was very courtous and helpful.
functional room. excellent breakfast much better than the 5 star panorama hotel in haifa. very good value for money highly recommended excellent helpful friendly receptionists. nothing much for the money we paid we where more than happy.
The staff were great, very helpful and always nice. The hotel couldn't be better located, right on Dizengoff-- close to the Dizengoff Center and very walkable to all parts of the city. The rooms are fine, clean and nice, but small. It seems that they all have balconies, which was great. Like most of Tel Aviv, it can be pricey.
the attempt to turn a 60's building into somewhat of a design location Staff is unfriendly, a 15 min wait in the morning to get a table for breakfast, the old bathrooms
The location, very friendly and helpful staff, free internet use, roomy balcony with table and chairs, empty fridge, pleasing decor, view of Dizengoff square The room smelt of smoke every time we entered it. If we had stayed longer, I would have wanted to change rooms. The lack of a comfortable chair.
the location and the room Hotel staff.....kind of rude
Arrived at hotel 6.30 am and I was allowed to check in early at no extra charge. Breakfast across road in Cinema Hotel good with plenty of choices.
It was our second time at center chick hotel and it was great as at the first time. The "happy hour" was fun and exactly at the right timing. The crew was extremely nice and friendly. And of course no one can compete with the fantastic location.
Helpful staff, Clean and having the free bikes made it very easy to get around:-)
Good location, convenient for beach and public transport. Friendly, helpful staff who gave me good bar/restaurant recommendations. The recommendation book at reception is a great idea! Lastly, the breakfasts were delicious and varied every day. I'd like to go back there.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our a/c broke but the weather was nice enough at night that it didn't matter too much.
Artistic & funky design style. Free afternoon drinks & snacks on the patio. Free bicycles for the guests to use.
Location two minutes from the beach, shops and central tel aviv. Good transport - buses and taxis right outside the door. First class breakfast, free bicycles, happy hour drinks and snacks. Roof terrace, breakfast terrace. Very helpful front desk, gave late check out and honoured room request for a quiet and corner room. No fresh fruit juice
The room was too small for my expectations as a 4 star hotel. Would have been Ok as 3 star.
Very good price value relation. Clean and very friendly staff. Also free drinks and little snacks in the afternoon on terrace and library. Nice atmosphere. Recommendable for visitors of Tel Aviv with a budget and who want to be central, near the beach. Nice design. Good breakfast included. The rooms are small but contain everything needed and are clean. Good enough to stay for a few days.
new small boutique hotel, young and hip, excellent location 5 min walk to the beach, helpful staff, nice breakfast.
perfect for the beach and the streets.clean, tidy rooms, excellent air conditioner, great shower, good books to peruse, a terrace and inside and outside areas, helpful staff, comfortable bed a faster internet connection for the computer in the hotel lobby would be good
The helpfulness of the staff.
Very friendly helpful staff. A lot of free extras available such as bikes, beach towels, afternoon snacks, etc. Standard rooms are very small. No kashrut supervision on food.
The happy hour was a nice touch we had not had at other hotels during our two week stay. It was a refreshing touch after a long day out in Israel. The cleanliness of the linen and design of the room were very innovative. We chose the hotel mainly because it had accommodations for 2 adults and 2 teens in one room. It also did not have a minimum stay of 5-7 nights as do many others now in Tel Aviv. We were there 2 nights. Free internet was a plus for my teens as they waited for us to get the car or get ready. I greatly appreciated the option of 4 in a room, but once the couch was open, there was no room to walk around at all. If you had more places to place the luggage so it was not sitting on the floor space, perhaps walking around could have been easier. Parking was free at another hotel 2 blocks away. If you forgot something in the car or wanted to take it out, you had to walk about 2 blocks to get it. This was also just overnight parking and so we still paid for any parking after 9am. It was also a pain to drop off and pick up the luggage since we had to double park on a very busy street.
the positive is the location, & quiet room. not much good to say. no staff except for 1 russian woman who checked us in and cleaned the room between stays. in 5 nights she brought us clean towels once. had to make our own beds (sheets were left in a pile). advertised as a 1 BR, but the "kitchen" only had a sink, microwave and half-fridge- false advertising . bathtub w sharp peeling enamel paint w rust that i cut myself on. price was a rip off -they converted from the 107/night to shekels, using a poor exchange rate that was 4 shekels, such a poor exchange rate that the exchange kiosks were far better-- i had a big fight to get a better exchange and still lost $. dont stay here unless you are strapped for $ and there is no better choice
More a residence then a hotel it definitely lacks charm. Very functional rooms where everything just works. Great selection of cable TV channels. The kitchen is handy combined with the supermarket just downstairs. No room service and no English spoken.
The only thing we liked during our one night stay there was its central location We stayed only one night out of the 13 nights we originaly booked for because of the state of cleanliness in the room. The blankets were tatty and when asked to change them we were told that they don't have any others. eventually we were offered a duvet - in the heat of Tel-Aviv.
Good location close to good cafes, restaurants, shopping, money changers, taxis and the beachfront. The room is basic but clean, bed is OK. Staff are friendly and helpful, they accommodated check-in in the very early morning. There is no phone in the room, but there is a public phone right outside the hotel.
This is a well positioned hotel for both city and beach. Its situation on a main road is clearly an advantage. Not all staff spoke English which was a problem. Communication between staff was not good -a deposit I had paid had been overlooked at the final billing stage. I did not like the way that although on the Booking.com website I had asked for a price in GBP I was quoted in US dollars. At the billing stage, my bill was converted into ILS (at a very disadvantagous rate I may add) and was considerably higher than the amount if I had been billed in USD. I therefoe consider this establishment rather less than truthful.
One of the receptionists, Olga, was very friendly and helpful. The location is good. The rooms are very basic. Air conditioning is very poor. This is not the value I would expect for this money.
In the midst of the 'Dizengoff arts scene' with lots of local color. Not too far to the sea, huge diversity of eating places / coffee shops. Fridge and sink, good beds, elevator. Dishes and cutlery provided, very clean. Price more than made up for any 'adventures'. Good Internet in lobby, decent security. It's not the King David, but very adequate for the budget-minded. Staff was nice / helpful. Shower water leaked out on floor. Tiniest shower in Middle East. Pictures made the room look way larger than it really was. Noisy when window was opened. Doors were flimsy, not soundproof. Ear plugs mandatory.
Very nice room. Both efficient and charming hotel staff. The hotel is in the center of Tel Aviv and at the same time very close to the beach.
Good basic place to sleep, plus a kitchenette. Parking is practically impossible, but public buses are frequent so you can park outside the city center and take the bus.
The location is excellent. It is ok if you really are on a budget or for a family as it has some kitchen facilities which we didn't use. We were out most of the the time, then fine. It is not value for money in an international context but I suppose it is for Israel, which is expensive. Our room was quiet, the aircon was working properly. When we got there there was no one to open the door (Friday). We had to phone someone to tell us the code and get in. Eventually a nice Russian lady came, who did not speak any English. We managed somehow as we speak some Serbian! Our room wasn't ready until 3.00 - we had lunch, no problem but ... Eventually on Sunday there was someone at the desk!, Which made a different as we coulod ask someone about check out , etc. The initial impression wasn't good, they should sort this out. I read this on a review, it obviously is the procedure every time and not something that just happened once!
Very clean. Rooms well serviced. The food could have been a little better.
the outside was shabby
It was central, close to beach and port. We had to leave early for the airport, they did not give us a discount on the b & b rate, nor arrange an earlier breakfast time. We did ask... very noisy, other rooms and noisy street.
The rooms were very clean and the location was great. Staff was pretty friendly and the breakfast was impressive. Good value for money.
Front Desk Staff were excellent, friendly and very helpful. Rooms were quite comfortable. Front entrance foyer and bar area looked like a boutique hotel style. Plenty of maps and tour information.R Breakfast was borderline average, appealed to a person wanting to eat fish and salad style breakfast, Some dust build up and dirty curtains in a room a friend stayed in.
Location near the center (Ben Yehuda & Dissengolf). Helpful & friendly front desk staff The rooms are clean and big. Free internet on the lobby. Room was noisy of the traffic, breakfast was simple.
The hotel gives the best value for your money. Good location 15 min. walk from Dizengoff center. Easy to get out of Tel Aviv by car. Good breakfast what you need for start. Only two free parkplace in front of the hotel.
A comfortable and friendly hotel although I only stayed 1 night. No tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms.
Beach nearby, attentive and helpful front desk Poor quality for the price
The hotel is on a main road with only single glased windows. The noise at night is extremely lowd which makes it extremely difficult/uncomfortable to sleep. The staff was attentive. The price is extremely reasonable, which makes you forgive any shortcomings. The location is great--beach, market, main streets. Overall it was worth it when we were staying in Tel Aviv a night. If I'd been staying a week I might not have been as happy with it. Small rooms, which have a good amount of wear. Spring for the balcony. It's worth the money.
Great location and a well maintained hotel. The pillows were terrible.
The location is excellent, a stone throw to the beach. The roof terrace stunning, with great wiew of the sunset on the beach. All the extras make this hotel great value for money
The interiors are really art deco and fun to experience. Not your usual run of the mill interior. Bold and entertaining. The staff were wonderfully helpful; even though the sabbath oddured during one day of my stay. Internet was convenient an free. Great Israeli breakfast buffet. Hallways are dark and not in keeping with the rest of the design of the hotel. The entrance can be a little trick; but a convenient neighborhood.
2nd time I have stayed. Most convenient for me - nar my family - room rather small but comfortable enough. Rather pricey!!! but I believe there is shortage of rooms in TA so you really can charge what you like!!!! I have recommended your hotel to all my friends and many have stayed in the Melody/ the City Hotels. My brother is in the Melody this week (Mr & Mrs Morris)
Snacks in the afternoon. Many films to borrow. The breakfast. The beds and the shower in the room. Way to expensive for what you get (we paid 350 $ for a small room for three). We didn't get a room with sea view as we requested, but one facing a not too charming courtyard. The prizes are listed in US $, but they charge you in shekel using their own exchange rate, which makes it more expensive.
I enjoyed my stay very much but as I was only passing through, on my way to Jerusalem, I can't comment, other than to say everything was great.
helpful staff.. use of wifi and computers... breakfast and happy hour.. location
Location was proximate to old city port and boardwalk. Quiet local hotel with excellent amenities. My room was exceptionally small.
Very city-knowledgeable and helpful staff, pleasant beach tote with water and towels was very thoughtful, food and service at each level was excellent each day during entire stay. Excellent value. Would have liked a small fitness room on the premises.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. We loved the playful touches - the box of crayons in the bedroom, the yellow rubber ducks in the bathroom... The hotel had a very upbeat feel to it. The roof terrace was very pleasant. The piped music on the roof terrace.
They don't accept bank cards for payment; the worst thing in this hotel is cockroaches.
actually tried to check out of the room, but was told i was not allowed to. the room was disgusting. the sheets were dirty all facilities were dirty. the staff was extremely rude. and upon check out the staff says their credit machine doesnt work so you need to go to an ATM and get cash. RUDE the entire experiance.
There was a bed, so I suppose that was helpful. This was honestly the worst hotel or hostel I have ever stayed in. It was half built, the bathroom door was leaning on the wall (it was not attached and functioning), the shower and sink were still in the process of being installed, there were paint cans/ supplies everywhere, there was a window that looked directly into an apartment building without any blinds/covers so there was literally no privacy. The owner tried to overcharge us after we booked the room on booking.com. There were things guaranteed in the add (such as air conditioning, shower, etc...) that were either non existent of not in proper working order. It was terrible.
Dirty, they also tried to cheat us on the room type and cost
Very noisy location, the window frame was broken so my room was even noisier, the credit card machine was broken so i had to pay cash, the room was very old and there were no controls for the A/C. This should not have been the only available choice in a city like Tel Aviv.
Terribly noisy hotel with grey linen, broken cloaca, turned off plinth and quests who are playng violin from 9 A.M. till midnight. Bathroom is increadibly cold as there is a big ventilation hole in the wall and there is no any heatinr there. Man on the reception has been smoking all the day. Breakfast is a cup of instant coffee and 2 croissants.
it is on heart of the city. u can walk to tel aviv's trendy places. it is not comfortable than a youth hostel.
nothing (only location) the hotel entrance was dirty people smoked there, it looked dingy, the room was clean-ish though all the electrical socket covers fell, the shower was lukewarm to cold, the air condition was controlled from "reception" and switch itself off after some time, on the hallway on the 1st floor the floor was wet from a faulty air condition unit. Breakfast was nasty and should not be included in the price. all in all I would recommend for anyone to avoid this hotel like the plague.
friendly staf, good location room not clean, room not cleaned during my stay, no wireless internet (though promised on website) only very slow connection through other network in area, no creditcard payment possible, breakfast in cafe 500m away (and 1 of 2 days not possible)...
There is nothing to write here, it was an awful experience staying at the Ophir Hotel. I reserved online, and since I was arriving Tel Aviv in the middle of the night, I contacted them by email to assure them I was coming and to hold my room. They even acknowledged my email! When I got there, they had sold my room, and put me in a worker's room with no toilet, and mattresses on the floor in a 6 x 12 room. It was miserable. They refunded a small amount of the money the next day. I will never book with Ophir again.
Great staff clean room Room was tiny
The staff was very friendly and responsive. The renovated rooms are clean and neat. The proximity to the beach and market is very convenient. I was amazed by the politeness of the staff. They are very friendly, helped me to bring the luggage to the room. We had the late evening flight and the front desk person accommodated the first floor room for us for the rest of the day to take a shower and to change. The hotel personnel exceeded all our expectations and made our stay good and absolutely comfortable.
top service at the desk
