I liked the location and was amazingly surprise if the facilities offered as well as the room lay out. Parking was right there and even though we were 5 mins walking distance from the falls and all the entertainment we were away from the noise. N/A
Fairly close to the falls. There was an indoor pool. Rooms are in need of essential repairs. Our shower and bath tub was backed up, had leaky faucets for the sink. Rusted bath tub that suggested there might be a bigger moisture issue in the bathroom. The wall paper was clearly paling off the walls around the entire room. The double beds were the most lumpy and uncomfortable things we've had to sleep on.
Location was close to the border for quick access back to NY. Bed was comfortable and clean. The bathroom was very outdated. Blue tile and a bit unwelcoming. Old shower and in need of updating. You get what you pay for! Inexpensive stay, not bad for one night.
My 11 year old daughter is not shy when it comes to asking for help. She befriended one of the housekeepers, Darlene, early on in our stay. Darlene was so kind to my daughter even making sure to tell me what a ray of sunshine she was.
The buffet breakfast for $10 per adult. Walking distance to the falls and Clifton Hill We were placed on the first floor which felt like a basement. The rooms were outdated, musty and damp. The carpet was loose and needs to be cleaned. The cleaning staff cleaned half of the room, my son made the 2nd bed and they left towels on the floor. The adjoining room, which was family, had their room door left open. The amount paid per room, I was hoping for something a little nicer. I felt that because we booked with an outside agency, we were stuck in the basement instead of the main building which was nicer. There was signs stating there was vacancy, so I'm sure we didn't have to be put where we were.
The sliding glass door opened. False advertising. No restaurant or bar - advertised but was told it was seasonal Front desk staff rude Wifi - only available in hallway by the elevators and lobby Spoke to staff and was told hotel was full they didnt guarantee wifi. Would have stayed elsewhere if this was the case. No air conditioning. This was huge!!! Thought ac was broken and was told that weather was getting colder and the hotel had turned off the ac and turned on all of the heaters. It was 68 degrees. I have travelled all over and stayed in 2 star to 5 star hotels. Never have I been told that I could no longer use my ac. Not sure if this is an issue with kayak or Travel lodge but this is clearly false advertising. Also, when the heater/fan did come on it spit water out onto the floor and bed.
Beds were really comfortable. The staff were helpful. Loved the kids pool adjacent to the swimming pool. Good water pressure in the room shower. Location was great! Far enough from the hustle and bustle, but close enough to walk or catch the WeGo bus. Dated! But clean. Torn carpet, old fixtures. Wifi was terrible unless you were in the lobby. Breakfast was a little expensive.
Staff was very friendly, rooms were huge, beds were comfortable, fantastic location. Amazing value for money! Rooms are a bit dared but super clean. Musty smell in hall but not in room. Have to pay to park.
The hotel is across the street from the river. You can see the falls within 1 min of walk and be at the tip of horseshoe falls in 15 min of walk with the falls view. Very good location and you don't have to drive. And the good thing is that if u wanna drive to all the other attractions like the butterfly garden or Niagara by the lake, you will be driving against the traffic. The rooms/halls are clean and good size. Great deal I think! I will go back again! At nights there is a 1 min walk in the empty street which may be scary but u will be there before u know it! The bathroom is a bit small and 2 people would be a bit uncomfortable to use the sink but not bad.
Clean room, very nice staff and close to everything. Pool was clean and relaxing after a hot day at the falls. Hotel is far enough from the crowds but easy walk to falls and US side and Clifton Hill. The parking at $15 for guests and non guests are the same, somewhat ridiculous. The breakfast buffet is $10 and no free coffee at the hotel lobby. Very high prices after spending money to stay there.
friendly staff and comfortable room
Location was great. Didn't spend much time in the room. But it is great as a base camp for exploring the area! Needs updated lighting, it looks like the maintenance budget is just enough to keep it up to code, not to actually fix problems. The shower in our room had a bad fixture and wasn't properly repaired, rooms smell funny, lawn chairs on balconies.
Came from the US to stay at Niagara falls. The hotel is older, but very clean and the owners are very accommodating. The breakfast was surprisingly good, and the rooms are equipped with a stove/sink/refrigerator, and has pots/pans/table settings, which is nice when you're traveling. The outside area was very nice with a pool, playground, and picnic area with a grill. The outside area was decorated with plenty of flowers the the owners keep up very well. Overall, or would definitely recommend it. The tv in our room went in and out (my parents said theirs worked fine so maybe it was just our room), and there were not very many outlets (so you had to unplug the AC to plug in the coffee pot)...But these were minor inconveniences.
Very friendly atmosphere, nice environment. Clean room and bathroom. Easily accessed and close to Clifton Hill and the Falls. The owner was very informative about the activities and the attractions at the Falls The breakfast, even though it was satisfactory, was rather poor with mainly sweet tastes (nutella, jam and honey). The decoration and style of the motel can be more fashionable and refurbished.
The staff, and the outside area The lock on the door didn't work well.
Had a good pool. BBQ facilities for visitor use. Management were friendly and helpful. Quiet and restfull.
I loved the friendliness of the lady that was running it....made me feel right at home!!
Nothing! Everything! Staff was rude, prices way too high, rooms very small, location awful.
Great place to stay..can't beat the price.
The customer service There was maintenance being done early in the morning. Was never informed of this. Would not stay there again.
Breakfast was ok The staff was very short and didn't care much. The hotel room wasn't clean at all carpet smelled bad and room was so old and run down
Free breakfast was okay. Quick check in and check out. Cheap. Rooms smelt disgusting, holes and cracks in walls, stained towels and sheets, cold shower water, air conditioning unit that did not work, dirty floors and walls, dirty pool area.
You get what you pay for. It's too far from the falls, holes in the walls, paint peeling from the walls. Bath tubs are old and dirty looking. It needs to be updated. So many other reason why not to stay to list.
Location, location, location... this hotel has easy access to the Niagara Falls tourist spots. The buildings were run-down, the room was dark.
location and price breakfast
The only thing that made the stay worth it was the included breakfast, it was actually pretty good! The room was sketchy! There was a dead bug on the bathroom counter and wrappers and dried up food under the beds. The indoor pool had white specks floating around in it, the hot tub was empty, and the doors that said "Keep Doors Shut at All Times" were open with extension cords running from them! The male staff at the front desk were short and to the point. We felt like the hotel staff were doing the bare minimum to get by.
Room avoid size hot tub was great AC not working very well no knob to turn on properly Tiles in bathroom ceiling need to be replaced
The staff was nice I booked the room 12 days before my arrival. I called hotel a night before my arrival to tell I will come late in the night of my arrival. Then when we arrived at 11:50, July 2nd, they gave us their worst room- as the staff said, it was the last room. I could book such a bad quality room for a much lower price on 6/20/2010! What was the benefit of booking 12 days ahead?
Fair for the price.
This is a truly wonderful place. The staff are exceptional and made a huge difference to our enjoyment of our visit. They provided great suggestions and helped us to structure our visit. The rooms are delightful. The breakfast, microwave, coffee machine and refrigerator, as well as free internet access were extra pluses. This place is a real find, and we would strongly encourage anyone with a car to select it over other hotel and motel options.
Family owned motel with a great hostess. She was above and beyond helpful in our short stay in Niagara Falls!
Very friendly, nice, comfy, clean rooms. Location was good, 10 - 15 minutes walking to city center and the falls. Complimentary breakfast was a nice touch, the homemade pastries were delicious! :) Can definately recommend and will stay there again.
The hotel staff/owners are very friendly and helpful. They obviously care about making their guests stay a pleasant as possible. We enjoyed our stay. The main room is nicely decorated however the bathroom could use some updating.
The Rex is family owned and the members I met were fantastic. Very helpful, friendly and super kind. It was my birthday weekend and left a beautiful flower bouquet and note and both nights warm pasteries were left in our room. The bed was a little uncomfortable but other then that everything else was great!
The staff tried to provide good service, and the hotel appeared relatively clean for its vintage. Bathroom was very small with no horizontal surfaces to set things down, other than the top of the toilet tank. The curtains let the lights from the parking lot into the room, so it could not be made completely dark. The room was not quiet, due to road noise and plumbing. There was no thermostat to control room temperature, but the room was heated.
nothing,i was surprise, when the manager told me that we dont change the sheet evry nignt, those were very dirty, and when i told her she told me i will call the police for you,i was very surprised the room was very dirty, the staff was very bad,and whwn you ask for a good service they told me we will call a police,so i want to know were to make a plainte, the information on internet are all false
Place isn't clean. Very bossy staff and owners. Small, smelly rooms. AC doesn't function. No instructions for operating equipments. Wiring is open, loose and scary. Trash bins are small and main trash bin are overflowing for two days. Bees and insects are all around. Requests to adjust customers plans are non responsive. Promise breakfast, however the petty things like toaster don't operate. Breakfast is served on a small table and place for 32 rooms. Long lines and wait time, which will force you skip the breakfasts.
cheap fair price, location and accessibility smelled like cigarettes in the room
shower worked good dirty, never changed the room or took out the garbage, pool was filthy
Nothing The bathroom door doesn't close ,
The tv worked. Could have been cleaner.
Very cheap, nice pool, toys available for kids Room was smelly, needs to be refreshed
Better than price. Clean. Sweeming pool. Not far from the falls. None.
I appreciated the attendent staying up late waiting for to arrive to register. My complaints were handled very quickly the following day when they were brought to their attention. The toilet didn't work, the bed didn't have a blanket, there was no heat, and my neighbours were very loud very late in the night (not really the fault of Falcon Inn). If I could have stayed only one night instead of two nights, I would have.
rooms have mini fridge and microwave. This is a two star motel at a two star motel price. For what we paid, we were satisfied. it appeared that only 3 of 33 rooms are non-smoking so you have to explicitly request a non-smoking room when you get there (they put us in a smoking room at first, but changed our room to a non-smoking room at our request).
Excellent quality for the price Distance to the Falls
I was close to the falls. Walking distance to a good Indian food restaurant next door and an IHOP was also next door to this place. We did not need to drive to get food. other then that nothing good to say. No elevator that we could find for out third floor stay. The stairwells where disgustingly dirty. The room was not dirty but run to the ground. I'm a contractor and the fire escape panic door hardware on the first floor exiting door was broken cause a total fire escape hazard. If this place was in the USA it would have been shut down by the fire department long ago. I did not feel safe if there was an emergency. Run down 4 channels on the TV. A new flat screen TV does you no good when you have no stations to watch. Pass on this place. Kayak has this place all wrong on the rating. I'm pissed I used them.
very quite, pleasant staff room didnt have a fridge
Very friendly owner, was extremely helpful. the location was excelent, walking distance from the falls. The room was very clean and we got very good value For our money. I would've liked a fridge and coffee making facilities in the room, but otherwise it was perfect. I really recomment it when you're traveling on a budget.
quiet - comfortable - clean - fridge in room Need to upgrade TV
Value for money. close to restaurants and downtown areas; helpful staff, clean and tidy rooms.
Staff is accomodating.
The friendliness and helpfulness of Angelo, the owner. This is an inexpensive hotel with few frills but very clean and with everything you need for a few days in Niagara Falls - central too.
The hotel personnel was really friendly. They waited for us, although we arrived really late. They helped us organizing seightseeing tours. The room was quite big and clean. The Niagra Falls downtown was at 5 to 10 minutes walking distance.
Location was good. There was no coffee maker or fridge in room. No parking when we returned for the evening, had to create a spot. Towels were horrible, the free internet worked only in the early morning.
It was within walking distance of Niagara Falls, the room was spacious and the reception staff extremely helpful - they kept check-in open for several hours when our flight was delayed. The carpets could have been cleaner.
room was quiet beds were soft. no place to get hot water for coffee or tea. Ice machine not working
It was really close to the USA and Canada border. It was very close to the Seneca Casino we walked. Shopping we had to drive a bit but was great. It's really outdated. The pillows are not great. The WiFi didn't work for some reason.
Just the basis, but excellent for the price. A great value.
Value, cleanliness, comfort, great staff and location to the falls Additional parking fee BUT ALL (or at least most) of the "falls area" hotels/motels are charging this fee
Friendly Staff Noisy room, people in the next room weren't that loud but everything they said could be clearly overheard.
The room was very clean Had to pay for parking inspite of the hotel being far from hotel also the room was very small
Front desk staff were more than willing to provide some of the amenities not available in the room, hotel was very clean, close to attractions and highway Toilet seemed to get clogged very easily
It was extremely clean, and it met my expectations and I would do business with them again. My neighbors. They were loud.
third time there and everything was okay we do not like having to pay for parking and we were lucky to find a parking spot sice there were cars even parked on the grass on the street. Also since i paid for the room in advance and since it was approved i do not like haing to pay a $50 deposit on my visa card especially since it will not be refunded till later. For these reasons i may not return to this motel
Standard hotel, with comfy beds. For two days parking in the parking lot, it came to 20 something dollars.
Nothing Very poor quality. I would not stay there again.
Basic hotel but clean and fresh with very good staff. Lots of on-site parking and within easy walking distance of the Falls and other attractions.
Parking is not included if purchased through someone other than Motel 6. There was an issue with the shower.
Great location for the Falls, easy walking distance, car not necessary to move aroung the area. Very comfortable bed, good hot water, quiet room. Good value for the area Room cleaning was not so good, spilled food behind the dresser. Continrntal breakfast wa pretty basic
The room was very comfortable and spacious.Would reccomend No complaints had everything we wanted
i did not like anything. staff treated me as a child. could not even bring friends into my room without being questioned by staff. the way the manager treated me with no respect.
we found it to be quiet at night, which was nice,we were close enuf to attractions, but not caught up in the hustle of it. coulda had more towels, with the hot tub suite...a robe woulda of been nice also.
The great location and accommodating staff. The amenities were lacking but were comparable to those at nearby locations.
I like that the non smoking rooms are far enough away from the smoking rooms. The 'continental breakfast' leaves much to be desired.
for what you get out of the price to stay it is a good deal
The room was clean and comfortable. 1. There were no real breakfast there - only some cookies. 2. I was unable to get the real invoice for my stay.
The Jacuzzi in the room was nice. The air conditioning was a life saver. Plenty of towels. Pillows were a little small on the King sized bed. A balcony would have been nice.
Close to the attractions, clean rooms, free parking Still has poor breakfast options, hard to find room in basement
Location, Staff, Cleanliness, Price SLOW wifi
Good location for the price Should of had microwave or coffee maker in room
Good location on Lundy Lane, near restaurants and the Falls. Linens and towels were not changed unless we made a point to ask the manager to do so. The sheets on the king bed were not the right size (too small to tuck in under the mattress), so they would not stay in place and I was unwilling to sleep on the bed with the sheets bunched up or on the bare mattress. So, we ended up sleeping on a queen bed, even though we had requested a king bed.
Very kind staff.
pricepoint, a/c extra tv underneath bathroom counter, loud mattress cover, dingy floors, only one towel for two guests, stains on the carpet, cracked picture frames, no extra toilet paper (half a roll), could hear noise from other rooms
the jetted tub the rooms were very dirty and very poorly maintained, and lack of regular comforts. And lack of parking.
It was a bed for the night and spent very little time in the room other than to sleep or use the washroom. We were put in one room but asked to be moved to another room because of the smell of tobacco. The second room wasn't much better. We didn't complain again. We put up with it.
There was a hard plastic wrap on the mattress that made sleeping soundly impossible.
I don't like any thing, sorry to till you that Not clean toils and lenins and the room still cold even they give me small heater, also there is a problem in the hydro when you start the heat the hydro tern of
Quiet and private No ice machine
Noting in particula Did not provide breakfast as advitised
When I informed the staff upon arrival that I had a lower back injury they switched my room to a ground floor room. They posted that they had seasonal shuttle service but upon arrival we were informed that they had stopped that service last year. It was a deciding factor when I booked the room. There was also mold in the room and we all woke up with red eyes and conjestion.
good choice for low budget, would need some improvements but it's ok.
GREAT flower display, friendly owner, near the falls,
Clean, comfortable room. Not high in being fancy but great if you want an inexpensive place to ahve a good nights sleep. Shower was extremely hot. Could not get any cold water out of it. Good TV and A/C.
Room rate was reasonable and avaivable. Not far away from other attractions. We were welcomed by a live bat which was stuck on the A/C control in the room. The smell of that bat remained in the room till we felt next day. Pillows were not comfortable at all. Ceiling of the room was very bad at some places.
There was a jungle gym and swing set for the children to play on. The beds were comfortable, and the room was clean. No, it was fine for the price.
Pleasant desk clerk. Close to bus stop. Free breakfast. Price was ridiculously high but it was a holiday weekend. Older outdated facility. A loud group of people were gathered in the parking lot visiting with each other; they were too loud, made it difficult to go to sleep. Breakfast dining area is very tiny, only two tables, barely any room to move around.
Older hotel but clean. It is a few miles from falls. Would stay there again.
good value and good breakfast for money not close to the Falls, but we knew it
The reservation process was easy, quick and accurate. We chose this hotel for the price alone as we were working and not in the room except for sleep. The check in process was easy and the hotel staff were accomadating. There was no remote control in the room for the tv "they get stolen a lot?!" We were told. The hotel gave us one when we inquired, but we should have been told at check in. 3 lights in the room were burnt out and we had to go to the office to get new ones.
I didn't like any think The room wasn't cleaning, they just pick up the garbage and housekeeper the bed. This all poor service and poor cleaning
Good location Extremely cramped room barely fitting two double beds which were extremely soft; if there was room we would have taken mattresses and placed on floor! We had reservations for 4 but only 2 hand towels and two wash cloth cloths; told front desk and they gave us two towels which we had 4 of already. Clock was not plugged in and when we plugged it in we discovered why - clock did not work. One electric socket had a small extension with extra plugs and then we figured out why - socket not being used did not work. To top it off when I checked out I requested receipt and they did not give one!
Location, price No
Close to our entertainment. Short drive from downtown. There was some dust on the furniture. No shampoo in the bathroom. Restaurant was permanently closed.
television in the room did not work
Room was great! Hotel staff were excellent. I would most certainly stay here again and the jacuzzi was fantastic!
Good place to stay, very low priced, rooms were clean, enough emenities, the staff was very nice and helpful. That street has so many outlets, general stores, and restaurants so the location is very good. and its only 20 minutes from the falls. i will definently stay there again.
The staff were great and the room was spotless! I have already booked a 5 day stay here with my children and we are very much looking forward to it.
Had 2 rooms, both dirty and filthy beds with hair and stains on linen. I really don't care about worn out furniture or old decor but this hotel was truly my worst experience ever! Plus: didn't feel safe in the hotel.
