Pros: Beautiful property right in the heart of Maple Leaf square. Rooms are inviting and have a very homey feeling to them. If you're looking for a romantic getaway, this is definitely the location you should purchase.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The room was very comfortable - amazing shower and bed! Tatiana was a huge help! She pointed out great restaurants and helped us sign up for tours.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything was spot on
Cons: The ac in the rooms did not work

Pros: Facilities were excellent, room was comfortable and quiet. Bellmen and Valets were quiet good. Clerks were efficient—with billing error quickly corrected.
Cons: Shortly after arriving we wandered into the library restaurant. There was a sign that said: “Wait to be Seated.” We did so and the hostess asked our Room number and we complied. We were seated and we proceeded to the serve yourself area with plates in hand and a few items on our plate when we were informed by a gentleman that we were not eligible for that restaurant. We said we were sorry and proceeded to return the plates with food on them. We secured our belongings from the table and left. A small sign would have been quite helpful where we entered saying the restaurant had restrictions on who could be seated. We had not been the hotel long at the time and I later read in a publication that restaurant had restrictions. There were no signs posted in the hotel that I could find regarding restaurants that explained the situation. I don’t want to blow this out of proportion but it was somewhat embarrassing.
Excellent 8.2
Pros: Rooftop pool on the 28th floor was amazing!
Cons: Honestly, we're booked and paid for a room with 3 guests, but everything from soap and shampoo to bathrobes and coffee cups for the Nespresso machine were for only 2 people. We had to call and request extra supplies.
Okay 4.8
Pros: Clean, modern hotel. Staff very friendly, helpful. Nice amenities in the room: coffee, milk, water, lights, etc.
Cons: Hard to figure out room - controls difficult to find, shower uncomfortable, not enough storage space in room. Hotel is in a deserted wasteland with no restaurants and 1 coffee shop in a mile radius. Toronto is in the middle of a lock-out with the A/V union at the next-door convention center, so every 6:15 am we were woken up by someone shouting through a megaphone at the hotel, saying we should be ashamed of ourselves.
Excellent 9.1
Pros: Rooftop pool Rooms Amenities
Cons: Inexperienced bar staff uneven food offerings

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Beats Trump, Four Seasons and Ritz......hands down....amazing atmosphere in the day & evening......
Cons: The pool was closed for a half day due to pipe burst.....
Excellent 10.0
Pros: service was great, the view was beautiful, the room was excellent. It seemed like the stars aligned for us, but that just may be the great service of the hotel. The weight room was great. The concierge made a reservation for us at this great restaurant downtown.
Cons: I can't really say there was anything I didn't like about the hotel. I did a lot of research on hotels in toronto, and this was the highest rated and for good reason. If you're on the fence, go with Shangri-La
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Greeted warmly when we arrived, shown personally to our suite. All staff whether at the front desk, valets or cleaning staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome.
Okay 5.1
Pros: It doesn't worth money. I give it 3 star place with 5 star price.
Cons: See previous

Excellent 10.0
Pros: As soon as I arrived , I was greeted with a warm welcome where I felt like I was home away from home. I told the concierge that it was my first time in Toronto and he upgraded our room to the lake side view. When I got to the room, I saw why he had upgraded to the Lake view was even more incredible than I had imagine

Pros: Great staff. perfect location. Fantastic price and amazing room. Loved it.
Cons: Bed was a bit short.. lol
Excellent 10.0
Pros: It was a total breeze from start to finish; Great location, Great staff, Clean, Quiet Comfortable!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The location was excellent for central Toronto with excellent access to convention Centre and tourist interests. It was fabulous to have a kitchonette and clothes washing facilities in the room. (I was upgraded to a higher room and the view was amazing too!).
Cons: Nothing really.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The cleanliness of the room, wifi, location of the hotel, and friendliness of the staff.
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Loved the open areas and the food/Service was superb
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The place had a nice kitchenette, with even a washing machine and a dishwasher. Although I was only there for a couple of days, I can imagine it's excellent for traveling with family or a long-term stay. The staff, including the cleaning staff, were all super nice.
Cons: Everything was great.
Excellent 10.0
Cons: It was perfect
Excellent 10.0
Pros: It's a historical building right in downtown Toronto
Cons: Overall everything was super no complaints
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The location, the view, the room and amenities and the bank vault !
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Thanks to Collin at the front desk, my stay was perfect! He not only upgraded my room, but he ensured me he'd personally handle my concerns and he did just that. The hotel is central to everything downtown and you can walk everywhere.
Cons: Parking is a drag, as you must valet park and it takes a minimum of fifteen minutes to get your vehicle if you're lucky. It also cost 45.00 a night to park...
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Staff was super friendly and helpful. In suite laundry was major bonus to wash and dry running gear before packing into suitcase. Room comfortable, well appointed. Historical building was neat, lobby nice, convenient location downtown. Valet parking was expensive but necessary as there appeared nothing convenient around. Well suited to transit and walking. Views were fantastic from 36th floor suite, and gym was great, with super views, on 17th floor. Sandwich/pastry shop off lobby was good, Starbucks immediately across street.
Cons: No in suite breakfast option, so either be prepared (and make use of in suite kitchen), hit restaurant downstairs (which seemed expensive), or plan for pastry or coffee shop mere steps away.
Good 7.4
Pros: Great location and for a downtown hotel, couldn’t beat the price
Cons: Woke up to the sound of rodents chewing away in the ceiling - horrible!! Also, elevators were extremely slow - waits of nearly 10 minutes to be expected. Bathroom extremely small.
Good 6.7
Pros: I really enjoyed the facilities and the proximity of the hotel. It was great that the hotel was attached to the PATH as well.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Breakfast
Cons: nothing everything was excellent
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The amenities in the room were very nice; good entertainment and comfort. Great location to downtown core.
Cons: Parking and access to the hotel is a little difficult, only because it's off Yonge St, the main street downtown.
Good 6.3
Pros: Food and staff were excellent at the Bistro, and location was good.
Cons: Water pressure was poor in shower and had trouble getting cold water in shower.
Okay 5.7
Pros: The rooms were clean and well maintained. No smoking and the location is good.
Cons: The gym was equipped poor (just a few bikes, threadmills and stepper, no water dispender) and there was no filled fridge in the room. Internet was charged extra
Good 6.6
Pros: Very comfortable rooms that would be ideal for a longer term stay, excellent security, very convenient business location, polite and helpful staff.
Cons: Elevator problem, at arrival, only 1 elevator for 49 floors which resulted in excessively long waits.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Polite and friendly staff.Great fitness area.Laundry facilities in the suites at the hotel.Old leather furniture.
Cons: $review.cons
Good 6.8
Pros: area
Cons: no
Good 6.0
Pros: The location was wonderful - it was very quiet - staff was helpful
Cons: Omg the elevators are slow!!
Okay 4.4
Pros: The view.
Cons: Loud dinner atmosphere. Room was not ready when we checked in at 4pm and then the front desk staff forgot about us. We weren't even offered a complimentary drink while we waited for 1 hour.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Best hotel staff we've encountered in a long, long time.
Mediocre 2.0
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: Your provider (Cancelon) failed to provide us a hotel room.
Excellent 9.7
Cons: Friendly staff, clean rooms, comfortable bed and great location
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The hotel is beautiful. Really did a wonderful job remodeling. Rooms are quite large with generous seating areas and extra large bathrooms. Location is great.
Good 7.7
Pros: We always love going to the King Edward Hotel when we visit downtown Toronto. The location is terrific if you want to walk, shop, and sight see. We've been choosing this hotel for years.
Cons: Since we book this hotel often ... it would be nice to be recognized and rewarded. Perhaps with a room upgrade or something ... Most notably though on this last visit I noticed our bed was sagging in the middle. I had to sleep on the edges of the mattress not to fall into the centre.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The hotel property was immaculate and was in walking distance to many places of interest such as Eaton Centre, St. Lawrence Market, Distillery area, St. Michael"s Cathedral, SONY Performing Atrs Center and many fabulous restaurants and bars. The employees of the hotel were motivated in making our experience a great one. The concierge staff were most helpful with their suggestions and directions.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Check in was a breeze, big room with a big comfortable bed, modern amenities, and easy to get to/from the train station and other local attractions. Very friendly staff.
Cons: I don't really have any gripes, so I'll say softer toilet paper. This was honestly the only thing that stood out as less than excellent to me.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Our room was spacious and comfortable.
Cons: I did not realize that guests would have dogs in the hotel. I prefer a pet free location.
Good 6.7
Pros: Staff was very friendly. Room was nice and quiet.
Cons: This hotel is very expensive for sure.
Good 6.7
Pros: We got a fantastic price through booking.com. We would not have been able to afford this hotel otherwise. When the receptionist saw that we had a baby, she upgraded us to a larger room which was nice!
Cons: The Internet was pricy and hard to hook up. We needed an attendant to look at it but it still didn't work until late into the evening. They didn't charge us though, so it worked out in the end.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The rooms were very big, clean and in great shape. The location is great, right down town.
Good 6.3
Pros: The room we stayed in large and spacious but extremely outdated.
Cons: The bang for the buck factor. For the price, we were expecting our room to be ultra modern but that wasn't the case at all. The room's fictures, especially in the bathroom, were straight from the 70's!!
Good 7.7
Pros: Excellent location - clean - efficient - good food - would come back again - good upgrade - not the cheapest.
Good 6.4
Pros: service was excellent
Cons: beds and pillows were not comfortable, my neck is still very, very sore!!!
Good 6.8
Pros: Good location, perfect and spacious room, happy with the facilities
Cons: Bit unpersonal
Good 7.2
Pros: Proximity to attractions

Good 6.4
Pros: location and friendly staff
Cons: $review.cons
Okay 4.4
Pros: $review.pros
Cons: I was extremely unimpressed with how the hotel staff handled their over booking rooms and for our "trouble" we were given two cots in subsitution for a queen size bed.

Pros: Awesome employees which compliment this wonderful hotel with beautiful views
Good 7.4
Pros: Staff was competent and very friendly. Concierge helped me several times and obtained discounted tickets to Aquarium and Hockey Hall of Fame.
Cons: Hotel overlooks railway and train noise started early in the morning and was clearly heard in the rooms-go street side. No refrigerator or minibar in the room and no movies on TV.
Good 7.1
Pros: Location is fantastic; new; indoor walk from UP train; staff are super friendly & attentive.
Cons: Sliding, frosted bathroom door right beside bed. Not a fan of this trend for the lack of bathroom privacy; bed a bit uncomfortable; elevator wait is long.

Excellent 9.7
Pros: The staff was great and went above and beyond when needing assistance or needing to find a store
Cons: The grout in the shower was a bit dirty and well as the ceiling
Excellent 8.5
Pros: Loved the full wall of windows with shutters on them in the bedroom and windows/skylights in the bathroom. Made the room so wonderfully bright in the mornings. Modern updates gave the room a high-end look and feel. Very beautiful. Very comfortable.
Cons: We experienced four minor annoyances. Firstly, the fireplace (which came with a remote - pretty cool) made squeaking noises when it was on. Secondly, the mattress was overdue for a change - my side had a significant body indentation in it. Thirdly, the lower spigot in the shower was not attached to the wall - it stuck out about a foot or so into the shower. Lastly, the old tub is still in the bathroom but really just takes up space (it's a short tub, so no spa-like soaking). None were huge issues, just minor details that should be addressed.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very convenient to all downtown attractions Underground parking Lots of restaurants in area Walking distance to everything- Union station an easy 7 min walk
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The reservation was booked over a month in advance on Kayak for a conference but upon arrival there was no record of my reservation. The Staff were very concerned and were able to get me a room in an otherwise fully booked hotel.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The location was phenomenal, within walking distance of so much -- only a 10-15 walk from Air Canada Centre, a couple minutes from the Rogers Centre/aquarium/CN Tower, and just a short subway ride from the ROM and Casa Loma, etc. The restaurant behind the hotel (Amsterdam Brewhouse) was absolutely fantastic as well. The rooms were so clean and big and comfortable. It was perfect for a weekend getaway. On top of it, the staff was so friendly and helpful, making for an even better stay.
Cons: The only thing I really didn't like was the fact that parking wasn't free for hotel guests (it was $21/day), but I know that it's a hotel in the downtown area of a large city, so they can't really control that/you should expect to pay for parking.
Excellent 10.0
Cons: Cost of breakfast, but was still very great food!
Excellent 9.7
Pros: very nice updated hotel close to many attractions and public transportation.
Cons: staff could have been more knowledgeable about locations and attractractions
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great location between Ontario lake and the CN tower!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Location and the updated modern rooms were very clean!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Friendly staff Great pool Big rooms Late check out
Good 6.8
Pros: The location was pretty good with pretty quick access via street car to the main subway terminal. Staff was also very friendly and helpful.
Cons: This is definitely not a luxury hotel. Things look nice but the hotel is old with a new coat of paint. You can tell where the renovations were done on a budget so things looked nice, but were not actually done well. In addition, the walls were paper thin. We could hear the people in the next room having a conversation. We did get the hotel for a very good rate, but there is absolutely no way the rooms are worth normal price. The hotel itself is not bad, but it is by no means 'luxury.'
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The room was spacious, relaxing and the harbour view was just relaxing we actually ended up staying an extra night. Large shower, lots of towels. They brought in a microwave on request. Location is walking distance (even with a little one) to CN Tower and major central Toronto attractions. It's convenient that you have the parking even after checkout - until 6pm of your departure date. We came in March but I would consider it again in.summer to use the pool and patio.
Cons: Can't think of anything

Excellent 9.7
Pros: Stayed for a concert loved it
Excellent 8.5
Pros: Supurb downtown location. The lobby bar view of the baseball field inside the Rogers Centre was pretty cool and would be awesome on game day.
Cons: Lousy view from our city view room on the 1st floor. Fitness center was nice but lacking a sauna , change area and sundries and other simple amenities.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Location and available valet parking saved us a lot of stress. Very friendly, helpful staff
Cons: We were booked for 3 people and only had 2 coffee cups. No microwave which should be standard
Excellent 8.5
Pros: Our room overlooked the field. And it was fun to watch them prepare for the home opener. Staff was great very helpful and friendly.
Excellent 9.4
Pros: We took train, then walked mostly through skyway bridges from airport. Staff was friendly, room clean and ready for us. One night stay, was a comfortable rest. Was able to use Netflix to watch a show.
Cons: Recreation areas not available during our short stay.
Good 7.1
Pros: Never any wait for the elevator or the Starbucks!
Cons: Quite a bit is closed like the Club room, vending machines and ice machines, the rooms facing the baseball stadium, due to low occupancy levels I’m guessing.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Large rooms and beautiful large bathroom. Staff friendly and happy to help
Good 6.0
Pros: The staff is extremely helpful and the location is great, right by the CN tower, walking distance to Union Station (about 10 minutes). The room I stayed in was very spacious.
Cons: The hotel was being renovated, so there was no convenient access to a pool or fitness centre (you would have to go to the Delta hotel a couple of blocks away for that); the ice machine/vending machine room on my floor was locked with no sign or note explaining the reason or where to go for an open ice/vending machine room -- maybe those are also being renovated. My particular room seemed to be in need of renovations as well (like caulking the bathtub). After the renovations are completed things should be OK, but I was really disappointed as I had no heads up about these issues and would have booked a different hotel if I had known about them.
Okay 4.5
Pros: the location and the room was clean.
Cons: the manager isnt truthful and gives a horrible scammer vibe. its a long story, but he just lies to secure a sale and is very deceitful. also hotel management was slow and needed to be called multiple times for small concerns. it was annoying having to keep calling and reminding them. also the hotel had loud and disturbing noises as early as 6am and throughout the morning which made waking up very unpleasant. also no toothpaste, and the tv remote was missing.
Excellent 9.7
Pros: The convenience, it’s close to the majority of the tourist attractions and great places to eat.
Cons: Only thing, the room had a bit of a pet smell too it. I have a dog at home, so it wasn’t enough to bother me, but definitely noticeable and unexpected.
Excellent 8.5
Pros: it was a nice view and the water front wasn't to far from the amphitheater were i was going
Cons: it was over priced for a small hotel like that
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The room was big and had a view of the rogers centre, which we loved. Really liked that the screen tv welcomes you by your name, I thought that was excellent customer service. The bathroom was nicely decorated and I felt it was different then the regular hotel room.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: We loved the location as it was a perfect home base for us to explore downtown Toronto on foot, via the Subway, streetcar and taxi cab. We initially chose the hotel for its close proximity to the cne and the cn Tower but were pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to access many tourist attractions in the area. The hotel itself was clean, the pool was lovely and the staff were exceptionally pleasant. We'll be back!
Cons: The exterior grounds were not up to the standard one would expect for an International hotel, (weeds, faded paint on signs, etc.)
Good 6.7
Pros: It's right next to the ballpark. You can eat lunch and watch the game from the hotel restaurant. Centrally located. It's super convenient.
Cons: I hated the fact that they charge to use wifi or the internet in the business center.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The hotel was very convenient and central to many of the Toronto tourist attractions, and the novelty of watching the baseball game from the restaurant was great.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: City view room wasn't available when we arrived (which we were supposed to get) so they gave us a room with a view of the centre feild of the Rogers Centre so we watched the Blue Jays baseball game from our room. Loved it!

Pros: The staff were very pleasant. The hotel itself is stylish. Enjoyable experience
Cons: I miss Scarpetta restaurant.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Atmosphere and luxurious
Cons: Habachi service
Mediocre 2.0
Cons: I showed up after a long day of work only to find out they didn't have a room for me. Instead they transferred me to a lower quality hotel that was across town and inconvenient to the next days activity. The front desk was also understaffed at this time and was trying to juggle other complaints, issues with the sound system and sorting out a room for me.
Excellent 9.4
Pros: First and foremost the staff were incredible. From Jennifer at the front desk to Mandy & Chris serving up cocktails in the lobby bar. Rooms were appointed nicely and everything was incredibly clean. Location was perfect as it was only a short walk to great restaurants and popular attractions.
Cons: This is no slight on the employees but more on Thompson's policy to rent out it's pool area for private events. Everyday we experienced some sort of early closing of the pool area for a private event. Closing the pool at 3pm in the middle of summer is not acceptable.
Okay 4.8
Pros: Style and location was good, great rooftop pool
Cons: Overall the property was run down and not the best condition. Pool was great view but no space. Love Thompson overall in Cabo and Chicago, but not comparable here - needs to step it up
Okay 5.4
Pros: Location
Cons: Was not able to use the pool (the only reason we booked this hotel) without warning due to "events". The bar at night consitiantly closed hours before the time shown and told to us by many staff. We only got to use the room. Would never go back. He balcony next to ours also had old broken furniture and cigarettes everywhere
Good 6.7
Pros: Proximity to work, nice rooms, good service, good price.
Cons: The air was incredibly dry. so much so that it was hard to sleep and my throat was parched. also, I think it's crazy that wireless is not included in the price. that is a very old school way of making an extra $10. give wireless away! And lastly, and especially because of the dryness, there should be free water bottles beside each bed.
Good 7.0
Pros: The hotel is very central and a lot of things are at walking distance. The bar and restaurant at its entrance is also remarkably hip and popular amongst 20's and 30's crowd on a Saturday night.
Cons: some small items like shower caps missing. The separate shower room looks excellent and modern but water pressure from the shower wasnt sufficient.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: room design; common area design
Good 6.7
Pros: Service was excellent. Very comfortable bed. Beautiful bathroom. Easy access.
Cons: Room a bit small, we kept hitting our shins on the corner of the bed. The light system was a bit tricky to figure out.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: It is an experience to stay at the Thompson. It is impressive and convenient that you can dine in 3 restaurants, dance downstairs or simply hang at the bar in the lobby. The Thompson brings a little "L.A." and "N.Y." to Toronto, if you care for that. If not, stay at the Holiday Inn.
Cons: The lobby bar closes at 1pm.
