Pick-up was catastrophic, it took nearly 2 hours... Drop-off at Brisbane Airport was extremely easy

We reserved a car twice through Thrifty at the Montevideo airport. The first time they responded that they couldn't fulfill our reservation. Then we saw availability again, and reserved again. This time no reply, but we called to confirm with them a few days later. They said they did not have any cars available and could not fulfill our request. They never actually cancelled our reservation. Very frustrating??

The credit card hold amount is very high. It appears that is standard for Ireland. Taking the full insurance is a good idea anyway, and lowers the cost. Service was very good all round.

Instead of blocking the security deposit amount on my credit card, like everyone else does, they made a payment equal to the security deposit and then, sometime after I returned the car, processed a refund. This resulted in me losing about 12% of the money to the bank to cover the exchange rate differences.

They had no cars to rent, so even when we had a car reserved months ago, We were stranded at the airport in a foreign country with no car. Not to be trusted. Unreliable.

Was charged $20 extra to have snow tires which is ridiculous. Ordered an suv and was given the smallest one possible. Didn’t qualify as a sub for my family of 4. So small we couldn’t fit our luggage in. I will do my best to choose another company as Thriftys sizing of their cars is not normal .

They took my reservation but when I got my uber there they didnt have a car for me when I showed up. Why allow me to make a reservation if you dont have a car for me?!

Pick up and drop off was perfect and seamless. Expected a midsize sedan, which are apparently becoming closer to the ground. It was a low rider car. One suggestion: a short bullet list of how to operate of key features in each car. (Lights, wipers, brights.
