Service was great. Car was dealers choice and was a Jeep Wrangler. Jeep was loud, “rattly” and not smooth, all as expected for a Wrangler

When we booked, it wasn’t clear that it was not AT the airport ad no one at the airport knew where it was, so we tried a treacherous walk to where the GPS said it was until we finally saw that they provided a shuttle. The staff was very efficient & once we picked up the vehicle things went smoothly.

The Thrifty staff at pickup were super rude, ignored us at the desk, and were very rude when asking for a deposit card and extra $200 payments tot take the rental we already paid for. They were not at all kind or helpful in explaining the process and were annoyed that we were even there. They were not all al helpful when our rental blew a flat tire and wanted to charge us $700 to toe us back to the airport. The tow would not take us to our air B&B to get our belongings which is 2 hours from the airport. They would only tow us back to the airport to miss the entire friends wedding so we can exchange the car and drive all the way back to our rental house to pick up our belongings. The car did not have a spare tire or my roadside items. 0/10 would not rent with Thrifty again.

This is the third time that I have paid for a car that the rental car company classifies as an intermediate, only to be given a compact or sub-compact SUV. this time it was a Kia Soul that according to the thrifty website is a compact car, not a intermediate, but you already know that. Your counter agents are well versed in attempting to upsell the client on insurance and toll road transponders. Under NYS law neither are required and I had my own transponder with me so I accepted neither. NYS and I are fully aware of these upsell techniques.

The agent was extremely rude. There was an issue with the reservation dates which was my fault. However, the agent was very rude and impatient as we tried to get it figured out. The agent was unhelpful and acted like it was inconvenient for him to help me. I would walk before I’d rent from Thrifty again.

When we went inside the car there was crumbs on the seat, a tv remote in the car door and a hotel key card. Clear signs car was not cleaned or checked before.
