Pros:Honestly didnt like anything about our experience from the car to the staff. Overall unprofessional. My spouse and I rented a vehicle in early June to travel from SC to NJ and back. A couple of hours into our trip a huge roach, the kind that fly was crawling on my foot. I freaked out and this could of potentially been dangerous, good thing I wasn't driving. That made us worry about our luggage in the trunk as we didnt want roaches infesting our belongings. On our way up to New Jersey there was no way for us to pay cash for our tolls due to covid and we were forced to go through the EZ Pass. We immediately call Thrifty to notify them and were told we'd have to pay the tolls online for every state we went through a toll. When we tried to pay online through the state,we didnt have an invoice number that was require to pay the toll. That we needed from thrifty. We called thrifty again only to have our account noted. Now several months later we're being charged $90.00 in toll and penalty. When I called again to speak to the Manager Jessica I was given an attitude over the phone and was told that it was my responsibility to pay the tolls despite our multiple attempts to make the payment, which now include a penalty fee. I was also hung up on and when I called back and asked to speak to the Manager Jessica again I was sidelined. I travel to NJ once a month for work, we rent vehicles and fly often. This by far has been my worst experience ever dealing with any kind of customer service agents.

Pros:Drop off was very easy. Price was competitive.
Cons:Check in associates told me I would have to wait “a little bit” to get the vehicle I requested. After a 45 minute wait I finally got a vehicle (van after requesting a compact) but was told to get a compact I would have to wait up to another hour. Representative was rude and disrespectful

Cons:agent at Thrifty couldn't find any records of my rental - so I gave her my kayak confirmation number, and she determined I was supposed to pick up the car at Thrifty's other location, a mile away from the airport (instead of the airport location) - ended up I had to pay an additional $40 to get a car at the airport location (they called it additional tax) - I blame kayak for this scam, not Thrifty - be sure if you rent a car through kayak, you can pick it up at the airport location, and at the price quoted. personally for me, no more dealings with kayak.
Pros:My reservation total with taxes was 100.82 but when I picked the car up the rate was 164.00 what is the point of booking early to save money when they charge full rate when the car is picked up?
Pros:Drop off was painless. Car was what we needed but not impressed that the tank was only 3/4 full but paperwork showed full. Nobody in lot to raise to and couldn't waste any more lost time going to rejoin the line inside.
Cons:Pick-up was a disaster. They didnt have the car we had booked available for over an hour after our scheduled pickup. There was a massive line. They were rude and combative. Not a single apology or proactive update was provided. Paperwork showed a full tank but we soon saw we only had 3/4
