KAYAK compares pickup truck rental prices from all major car rental companies such as Thrifty, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, Payless and more to find you the best deal.

How much does a pickup truck rental cost in Vancouver?

On average a pickup truck rental in Vancouver costs $99 per day.

Which car rental companies in Vancouver rent pickup trucks?

Car rental companies in Vancouver that rent pickup trucks include Alamo , Avis , Budget , Enterprise Rent-A-Car , National , NextCar, Priceless, Right Cars and Sixt.

How much does it cost to rent a pickup truck for a week in Vancouver?

On average a pickup truck in Vancouver costs $694 per week ($99 per day) to rent.

How much does it cost to rent a pickup truck long term for a month in Vancouver?

On average a pickup truck in Vancouver costs $2,975 per month ($694 per week) to rent.

Where are the best car rental locations in Vancouver to rent a pickup truck?

While on-airport car rentals provide the convenience of renting a car right at the flight hub's arrival terminals, they often charge premiums for their services. You can find relatively cheaper car rental deals in the downtown area and other parts of North Vancouver, such as Lonsdale Quay. We recommend taking a taxi to the city center for about C$25 ($20.50) or a Canada Line train to Waterfront Station, and then a ferry to downtown.

What is the most reliable pickup truck brand in Vancouver?

If you want a reliable and powerful pickup truck to drive within Vancouver, you can choose any single or twin cab models from Ram, Ford, Chevrolet, Nissan, Toyota, GMC, or Honda. These trucks have a large towing capacity, offer outstanding tech and safety features, a two or four-door cabin (for twin cabs), and ample space to fit seven large bags. You can pick up your truck along 1150 Station St and Southwest Marine Drive. An upside to visiting a car rental agency in person is that you can negotiate for lower rates with higher chances of getting your request granted.

Where are the best places to park a pickup truck in Vancouver?

Whether you intend to visit Stanley Park or Granville Island, you'll find plenty of parking spaces across Vancouver. There is free on-street parking at various locations, although you'll only enjoy no charges for the first 2h. These include Ash Stree, Yukon St, and W Broadway. If you prefer parking in a private garage, you can consider Plaza 500, which charges about C$6 ($4.90) for the first two hours, City Square Shopping Center (C$9 ($7.40), and Easy Park Lot along W Broadway, which charges approximately C$5 ($4).

Vancouver is a region with rugged, magnificent mountains, lush forests, and a thriving urban community. A rental pickup truck is a great choice for a Vancouver trip because it can cruise through city streets as you visit cultural-centric points of interest, such as the Orpheum Theater and The Clutch. A pickup van also delivers the durability, power, and performance to scour the rugged off-road tracks leading to hiking and camping destinations like Lighthouse Park and The Grouse Mountain.
Vancouver International Airport (YVR) is the primary flight hub serving Vancouver. Once your flight touches down at the airport, you can rent a pickup truck from various on-site car rental companies. Once you exit the arrivals hall, the car-rental counters are located on the ground level of the main parking facility across the street. Here, you can rent a truck from renowned companies, including National, Avis, Dollar, Enterprise, and Budget. Other off-airport alternatives are Evo Car Share and Routes.
If it's your first time driving in Vancouver, it is critical to understand that Canadians drive on the right side of the road with the passenger on the left. Distance is calculated and measured in kilometers, which will mostly translate to higher figures than miles. If you're driving on city streets, the speed limit is 50 km/h (30 mph), while motorists are allowed to reach up to 100 km/h (60 mph) on highways.
Driving in Vancouver is fairly easy and comfortable because the terrain is relatively flat. However, that changes during the rush hours in the morning between 7-8:30 am and 4:30-5:30 pm when many motorists use the roads. The city lacks larger, north-south freeways and bypasses, which makes traffic quite slow. The narrow bridges on the roads only make driving in Vancouver challenging. If you'd like to enjoy a smooth and quality ride around the city, try driving during midday.
25% of our users found a pickup truck rental in Vancouver for $71 or less
Book your pickup truck rental in Vancouver at least 1 day before your trip in order to get a below-average price
November is typically the cheapest month to rent a pickup truck in Vancouver, with prices around $43 per day. The most expensive month is July, with average prices of $106 per day.

24hrs before our vehicle pick up the booking was cancelled. Left us to figure out a last minute plan to get to a wedding 4hr drive away. We were lucky to find last minute bus tickets that took us 8hrs to get to our destination. Never booking through kayak again.

The staff seemed to be doing their best in a difficult situation handling a lot of customers. We had a reservation to pick up a car. There were other patient people waiting. It seemed chaotic, like there should have been numbers given to us to give us a clue. We waited for our turn. I paid an upgrade to drive a Volkswagen Jetta. They said a Toyota Corolla was in the same class and that’s what they had. I see now that I paid a lot for the “convenience” of picking the car up in town in addition to Kayak’s fee. That was my mistake.

I was suppose to have mid size SUV. The rental company did not have any cars on hand. After an hour of waiting, i was told that they only have 1 toyota corolla on hand. That car was too small for my family, but I had no choice but to take it, as I had to leave my hotel, and had fairy tickets purchased prior to that day. We had to have the luggage placed on my kids legs for the 2 weeks , which was the entire duration of the trip when driving. I will never use that service again, as I am very dissapointed with the service thta was provided.

All was good. Was served quickly. The car they gave me was pretty good. The only reason I would give 4 star is because they didn't give me a car with a full tank. I don't like getting a half tank car, and then having to try and fill it to that level. I ended up returning full, so hopefully the next guests keep it at that.

We were pleased with the price and the vehicle was clean. Drop off was a breeze. But we did not realize that the car would have to be picked up far away from the airport. We waited more than half an hour for the shuttle because the number we called to request pick up had an automated service that failed to inform a live person that we were waiting. We had to call a second time to talk to someone. Also, the car had a lot of cosmetic damage to the outside and was not the kind of car we had reserved (Camry).

I was charged twice by Allianz Insurance for car insurance after completing my Kayak reservation. I did not know I was double charged at that time, or at the time I returned my rental car. Upon returning the car, I was also charged for insurance by Enterprise Car Rental. Kayak, Enterprise and Allianz have been not helpful or forthcoming in my attempts to get my refunds. I am very unsatisfied with the booking process and feel like if borders on scam territory. I will now spend more of my time and money making calls, trying to get my refunds. Very frustrating.

The customer service is not great. I asked to add the insurance a couple of time and they never got it done. I called to change the car since we didn't order a basic mini suv, but I needed to go to Richmond to make the change. The car was very dirty and damaged and the tires were not great. The value was good but I'm now dealing with the customer service again for the return. They asked me to pay for the damages when a claim was sent to my insurance company since they couldn't do it properly with their insurance the first time around.

I tried for 2 days to reserve on their site, it kept coming up with a message my bank was rejecting the transaction. Called my bank, they said no merchant was trying to debit my account. Called Europcar, guy said it's an issue with their site, and he couldn't help me. Awesome. Went with a different company.

The address given on the KAYAK receipt was incorrect. Luckily, our Uber driver phoned the agency and was able to locate the correct office in the Travelodge lobby.

I had to take my partner to the hospital for an emergency on the morning of pick-up, and was late to pick up my rental. When I arrived, I was told the car I had already paid upfront for, for the whole day, had been rented out to someone else, and that the customer service agent couldn't do anything to help as I had booked through a third party. Terrible customer service experience - I will not be using this company again, and would not recommend to anybody.

The car I was given was extremely loud, making me feel very unsafe driving it. Probably a first generation hybrid, hence the noise, but I question if fit to drive at all. I also asked for a receipt upon returning the car. It was denied saying the company does not allow that. It makes no sense. How can one prove they returned the car if they can't have a receipt ? First time I hear this. The two different clerks were pleasant otherwise.

Waited almost 45 minutes to get a car. Agent was polite and and apologetic but was by himself at the counter.

There were no cars available even though I had a reservation and there was a room full of people waiting for cars for “at least an hour.” I tried to cancel my reservation but could not as it was booked through a third party so I paid for a car I never had.

We thought we rented a vehicle at the airport and found out that the pick up location was 15 min away. We then attempted to cancel the rental and it took 2 days of reaching out between, kayak, priceline and yesaway to find a person to cancel (can't be done online). Then over an hour on the phone trying to get over all the required restrictions. Once it was done, it was fine but what an arduous prospect!
