Horrible service Place looked like a dump
The guy at the desk was helpful, gave good tips for eating, taxis and entertainment in the surrounding areas. The hotel was also quiet. Only saw 2 staff my entire stay both were at the front desk. Glimpsed a housekeeper on check out. Did not feel the level of customer service that I think should come with a $150 per night hotel
was clean enough.. But barely... No bed bugs in our room was a plus Rooms look nothing like photos... Dirty carpets in rooms... Restaraunt wasnt even open... Place is kinda run down
I have no complaints about my stay at the Freeport Inn. The room was clean and more than sufficient for my buddy and I during our brief stay. N/A
The hotel was close to th concert venue we were going to. We paid $150 for a night and a few things were broken in the room. The light above the bed looked like it was about to fall and so did the shower head. We reported this to front desk. The room was outdated and could use a good scrub. It served its purpose though but I think we'll research a little more next time.
It was right on the water. The staff was friendly and the rooms where clean enough. The breakfast could have been better. It got a little loud at night and there where a few weirdos on the premises.
space in the room, the king size bed, helpfull staff let people know, for any lengh of time, you need a car
I had the worst time at this location. Room smelled really musty. Bugs in the shower. Sheets really dirty, and when I went to the front desk to ask for fresh sheets & pillows, they did not have anything. Their hospitality of the staff was bad, when I expressed my dislikes not only did they not try to fix the problems they never even apologized. Please do not waste your money. Also the rooms are out of date and disgustingly small.
The hotel was very clean and comfortable and the staff were very helpful and friendly. They offered a bite to eat in the mornings (cereal, bagels, waffles, instant oatmeal), which I appreciated. The restaurant makes tasty fare. While I enjoyed my stay I found the hotel a bit pricey for what it has to offer.
View of harbor. WiFi connection too weak to reach room. Old decor.
The things that we liked mostly were the accommodations and the staff there. The staff were very kind and helpful. The room and the bed were very confortable. And also Freeport was a very nice surprise, the city is very beautiful and the food there are great too.
Convenient location Carpets were dirt encrusted and the wall molding and outlets were filthy.....throughout the night loud voices from outside and the adjoining room...we did not unpack and left 1st thing in the morning!!!
Nothing really. You got what you pay for it.... Rooms are way too dirty, we even saw some big ass cockroaches and a hand-size big old spider. After that night. I was sure that I got bit by them!!!! It was a horrible experience, and will not ever go back there again!
Location. Staff not very attentive, place not very clean.
Nothing outstanding room
Free breakfast Needed ear plugs to sleep. Loud middle of night as we were next to office. One night police outside our room responding to an alleged assault at midnight. Scary. No shots fired thank God.
I want to thank the staff for keeping my son's ice packs cold for him to use after playing baseball. I had booked a room, king size bed and no smoking for my son and I and after driving 5 hours after a full days work and we arrived at night. I was given a room with double beds which was no big deal but a "smoking" room and was told they were booked so we had to stay there. It stunk so bad, we couldn't sleep even after spraying a whole bottle of perfume, everything smelled like a cigarette the beds, towels, and it was warm so when you turned the AC on it made it worse. We left the window open for an hour and that didn't help. Plus the pillows are hard as rocks. So we didn't sleep at all and after taking a shower I felt like I still smelled like a cigarette. I was very upset for having to pay for the room and I was worried for my son because he had to take an allergy pill and needed rest because he did a showcase for baseball and scouts were looking at him. Also after not sleeping we had to drive 5 hours back home. Extremely disappointed with the situation.
I liked nothing of this place, parking is tight and your sure to get a dung on your car by the drunk idiots coming and going from the other rooms at 2-3 am....noisy too. I didn't like the rudeness of the staff; first off I booked a week in advance ,a non smoking king room with a sitting area and a couch, just like what I saw in the pictures online , when I got there, they said they only had a smoking king room , I was pissed, in other words they didn't hold my room, and they gave me no break or discount. the room was a real smelly nasty small room on the first floor. it was 1 small room , with a bathroom. the rug, the curtains, the décor and furniture is all old. the smell alone was disturbing. obviously a great place to hangout and party and drink, it couldn't be more obvious that they cater to who ever will pay a ridiculous price for a dive of a room. don't let the outside of the building fool you, they put no money into renovating or updating the interior.go to Marriott Courtyard or Town Place suites 10 mins away up 10 in Farmingdale.its new, same price and clean , with a kitchen . seriously, $160 + tax per night for this dump, that will never happen again.
I am a mother travelling with two 20 something sons to Massapequa for a family wedding. Our planned three night stay turned into two nights due to a snow related flight cancellation. The hotel graciously accommodated us. We arrived 9:30 PM, check-in went smoothly. We had a room with two queen beds. The room was immaculate. We were impressed with the comfort of the beds, temperature of the room, and the bathroom was very nice with a tub shower. There was ample closet space. There was a flat screen TV we never had a chance to turn on. The morning breakfast bar was very nice. I recommend the waffles. I've read some of the previous reviews, some scared me. I would stay there again and I have already recommended it to others. We have no negative feedback.
Cleanliness, friendly staff
I was pleasantly surprised at how clean this hotel was. When hotels quickly turn rooms for the next guests arrival, some house keeping issue get overlooked. This however was not the case at 5 Town. Very clean rooms and the entire hotel staff was wonderful. Each hotel employee was attentive and kind. I would return to this hotel and I would recommend it to family and friends. Please acknowledge the entire staff at 5 Town and thank them for making my first stay a nice experience. My only complaint was the AC unit. It was difficult to adjust to my sleeping comfort
I like that is was extended stay with families and pets. Felt more like home than hotel No
The room had more conveniences than we needed (microwave, refrigerator). The hotel was clean and well organized. Good value for the money and excellent location for a Long Island visit. We will definitely stay again.
Very nice, We were expecting something not great based on stars. Convenient to where we were visiting. Only one mirror in room so my husband and I could not get ready at the same time.
Convenient to the south shore. Rooms have microwaves and full fridges. Its a little more of a motel than other Marriott brands.
The room was comfortable and clean. Very ice front desk people and very accommodating. Bed was very soft and breakfast was very good also. Met some friendly people there. Love the little kitchen in there. Wish I could stay longer. I did not like that they charged for dogs. I have stated many hotels that were pet friendly for free.

Friendly staff, lovely rooms, perfect location, felt like a home away from home. Also LA Fitness about a mile away plus movie theatres and Adventureland. My sons loved watching the planes take off and land at the adjacent airport. Nothing. It was perfect!!!
Staff and room and location were great. The breakfast was 5 star and plentiful. They use an airport shuttle service whose driver thinks it is okay to wake up the entire complex with his music. I had to leave my room to yell at him at 0430 am.
Room was immaculate and well maintained. Staff was helpful and friendly, Should have a better television package. No local sports team channels. Movies are overpriced at $20.00
Melvin is awesome, every time im in town hes very polite and accommodating to my needs...
I like it the most when I checked out when I arrived the police were making a bust in the parking lot. The lamps by the bed had no lamp shades exposed bulbs... Classy. The coffee pot had no decanter. The bedspread definitely needed washing... Dried up food or whatever stuck to the surface... Yuck.
The person at the front desk was very helpful, Raj.
Location was ideal for work trip First room Smelled like urine and smoke, smelled so bad we had to change rooms. In the second room, no urine smell but did have a very strong cigarette smell, found couple long, hopefully chest hairs in the bed , woke up with bedbug bites. Some kind of stain or spillage on the walls in the bathroom by the door almost like blood. I will be traveling to the area quite frequently in the next couple months but I will never choose to stay at the days in again wouldn't recommend it for anybody
The staff were exceptionally helpful and curtious No cable television. They have nice flat TVs but rely on digital reception which was always going in and out
the room is new and clean the location of the hotel, very isolated and people from outside have access to the rooms by just coming up the stairs w/o having to go thru a lobby entrance.
I've been offered jacuzzi room! No.
nothing dirty condoms in the front of the room, do i need to say more?
Good location I'm surprise...this hotel is listed in Kayak/Hotel.com I was shocked to see the condition of my room. Anyone else would have ran! "you get what you paid for" just doesn't cut it, it was $90 a night. The walls were dirty and full of holes. The carpet floor were utterly disgusting...dark and full of gum spots. It's was the most hideous hotel I have ever stay, and I've been to many cheaper ones. Why didn't I asked for a new room? I did, it was the least smoky room.
When we arrived our non-smoking room reaked of smoke. When we said something one employee moved us to the room next door which was more updated and cleaner. Then another guy came and said the drainage wasn't working and our original room was the only nonsmoking available. He gave us some spray for the smell. We also noticed the carpet was wet from under the ac all the way to the door. Which he knew about but did not offer to do anything about. We also found a dark reddish brown stain in the grout of the bathroom and the toilet was leaking all over the bathroom floor. Beds were super hard and no fitted sheets just two flat sheets and a thin itchy bed spread. Will never stay there again.
