Pros: Fantastic, roomy , comfortable, great staff , would come back , and have recommended
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice spacious room. It was lovely to have a kitchenette which was very well equipped. Additionally the bar was great in the evening, very relaxing and the staff were super friendly.
Cons: Nothing!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The relaxed vibe and the well-equipped rooms. We took our dog and it is right opposite a park so very convenient! Quite road very close to the town centre.
Cons: They ran out of all hot food and didn't realise so they needed to be asked to replace food as lots of guests still hadn't eaten. So my husband ate 15 mins later than I did. I would suggest getting one of those toasters that is like a conveyor belt. Much better than 1 four slice toaster for all guests. I had to wait for my toast and whilst my food was going cold! Also, the water in our room 102 was only luke warm.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Decor was well thought out and the layout maximised space available, comfortable for all
Cons: Staff could’ve been a bit friendlier
9.6 Excellent

Cons: Parking looked dubious but all was fine :)
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Rooms are excellent
Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Room was spacious and beds were unbelievably comfy
Cons: Nothing
9.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved the rooms and furnishings, they are bright with lots of space and everything you need. It is well-equipped for a small kitchenette and has some nice personal touches. The bed was exceptionally comfortable which made it very difficult to get up in the mornings considering we were there for work! However the coffee and cocktail bar in the lobby helped with this, especially with the live music in the evenings after work and the staff were always fantastic.
Cons: The sound insulation within the hotel is perfect as we did not hear any other guests during our stay but there was a lot of noise through the large windows in our room, even when closed. This was particularly bad early in the morning with large trucks reversing as I think our room was directly above the service entrance for deliveries and laundry pick up. I think rooms on this side of the building need some extra glazing or sound-proofing as we were woken up every morning.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Bed was so comfy
9.6 Excellent
Pros: 3 of us booked two rooms, all very happy with the cleanliness and comfort of rooms, facilities and complimentary tea, coffee, cereals, etc., thank you :) the proximity to local pubs, bars and restaurants was really good and would recommend The Meat and Barrel and Soprano's for food. We would all stay again, see you some time soon.
Cons: The bottom of the door frame in the bathroom (Room 1) needs waterproofing, to match the door, where it works well, but this doesn't deflect from the overall cleanliness or comfort of the room!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: modern clean
Cons: nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great to have microwaves and ovens. Nicely decorated, quiet place, with ok parking.

Bathroom very clean and modern. Love the kitchen area and the idea, everything you could possibly need to make a meal and free tea, coffee etc. Would definitely reccomend and visit again.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and very quiet have stayed here before and it is my favourite hotel in Portsmouth.
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: They have designed their processes with the client in mind (as opposed to guests having to adapt to the owners quirks). - Easy entry procedure, open kitchen for guests to use, open prompt responses to questions they have. The room was comfortable, clean and airy. It genuinely deserves its high rating score on here.

7.9 Good
Pros: Joe was very informative about the history as we overlooked Kurtis’s home. He was very helpful.
Cons: The bed was incredibly soft, to the point of uncomfortable. Also, we were not told bout the £7.50 parking charge. It would have been cheaper to park on the street. We were given a parking permit, but not told about the charge. Also the breakfast was not worth the £30.00 extra.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent. This was the first time we ever stayed in Southampton in order to get to a cruise ship & the whole process was very straightforward. The staff very kindly booked a taxi for us on the morning of our cruise which was appreciated. The use of the garden was relaxing. Overall we had a great overnight stay and will definitely be with you for our next Southampton cruise & will recommend you to all our friends. Hope to see you soon.
Cons: Nothing!!!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff lovely breakfast
6.0 Good
Pros: Lovely friendly staff, who were helpful. Rooms were nice at first glance especially if you like IKEA! The location was good, close to local shops and amenities.
Cons: At second glance the rooms could use a little attention to the layout. The ensuite bathroom was cramped the toilet too close to the bath and wall and a very hot heated towel rail! Bed too close to wall of ensuite bathroom and difficult to walk around without banging into, which I found out very painfully, as the bed is wooden framed it caused a very big bruise! The rooms could do with some coat hooks and I would rather have a comfy armchair than the oversized chest of drawers! Also the fitted sheet on the bed kept coming off one corner and it was annoying and hard work having to keep getting up to put it back on and ended up having 2 uncomfortable nights sleep because of this!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was lovely and staff really helpful.
Cons: Pillows were a bit hard.
7.1 Good
Pros: Good breakfast, staff friendly. Afternoon staff not especially familiar with points of interest-but wifi available. Fair value for cost. Nice sitting room first floor with pleasant patio. Walking distance to many restaurants. Would book again-if traveling alone
Cons: Thin walls-easily heard tv from other room-loud for heard of hearing guests til 10:30.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: The shower wasn’t great
Cons: The shower
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We were upgraded to a suite ,which even though the room was smaller than what we had booked (as booked the studio) but as it was a nice eve and morning we appreciated the lovely long balcony otherwise would have asked to stick with our original booking ,the spa area was lovely and relaxing and the food was a brand new Menu in the jetty which the venison wellington was superb as was the rest .
Cons: I have to say upstairs in the Har bar 6 we was less impressed , as I asked the barman which Gins was on offer and which to recommend to which he put the drinks menu in front of me and carried on with what he was doing ....o shocked to say the least as I’ve stayed in many hotels and never have I had a menu shoved towards me as way of service ,so not impressed at all
7.5 Good
Pros: Great view of the marina from the bedroom. Lovely big comfy bed. Very modern, sleek interiors. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Spa was very relaxing and had a great massage there. Rooftop bar is really good - great sights across the marina and the food was amazing.
Cons: The room wasn’t very sound proof- we could hear lots of slamming of doors in the morning and chattering down the corridor and even next door’s shower! There was no welcome booklet in the room so we found ourselves either guessing, ringing reception or checking online about lots of things e.g. was the water free, what was shown at the cinema, what time the spa opens, the difference between the restaurants, what’s in the spa, is there an iron in the room etc. The spa was lovely but it’s very small so be prepared for that- the swimming pool can’t really fit more than 2 people swimming at once and the pool loungers were constantly full so you had to quickly nab one if you wanted to sit down. The jacuzzi was great on the first day but was cold on the second day, we told a member of staff about it but they kind of shrugged it off and it wasn’t sorted out.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Beautiful and very tidy rooms and surroundings. The staffs were great. Min was fantastic. was very helpful during our stay. Eleni also received us well and was always happy to assist. I strongly recommend this hotel.

The Thomas Lord - Soberton - Building
7
9.1 Excellent (212 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at The Thomas Lord in Petersfield, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Jane Austen's House Museum and Marwell Zoo.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The bedroom cabins are cute and well appointed, The food was exceptional for a pub. Big variety and all well cooked. The staff were really friendly and thoughtful. The garden is attractive.
Cons: Two small comments. The bedrooms although cute are a little compact. Not sure there is much you can do about that as you wouldn't want to compromise on the lovely beds. Perhaps take out one of the little leather armchairs? And the bar area probably could be freshened up a bit - ceiling peeling?
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, food, quality
Cons: Nothing
7.9 Good
Pros: Pub garden and room were lovely.
Cons: There was no air conditioning, just a fan. The music/radio system didn't work.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the cosy and friendly environment from the moment you walked in to the moment you decided you needed your bed. All the locals made you feel welcome and the facilities are amazing. The food was excellent and cooked to perfection.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The cabins are beautifully completed . The attention to detail is fantastic. The rooms are warm and comfy . The pub gardens are amazing . A very comfy , clean room . They allow dogs as well .
Cons: The food was very nice but what I didn’t appreciate was the extra unnecessary cost . I ordered a large Malbec , I had three costing £10 for a glass . A bottle, after I asked was £29. I felt like that young staff didn’t have any savvy to them . We ordered a Camembert too for a starter and as lovely as it was cooked there was little bread to share . I asked for some more but I had been charged £2 extra upon payment of the final bill . I appreciated our time there but when you’ve spent around £190 for the night and meal , those little extras , like the bottle would have been better had it of been suggested and a charge (! )for extra bread seemed so out of character for what was a lovely evening . Menial moans but was unnecessary .
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We ((((LOVED)))). Everything about the place! The food our room the staff & the atmosphere & device was 10 to none!! Perfect absolutely perfect.. thank you to all the staff
Cons: N/A
7.5 Good
Pros: Staff friendly but unfortunately a bit clueless, especially when trying to understand that I needed a VAT receipt for business purposes, but we got there in the end. Room lovely, comfortable and clean. However on the second night the adjoining room was booked out, unfortunately the guests staying had a newborn which was clearly struggling to settle and was quite loud through the inter-connecting doorway between the two bedrooms. I asked at reception if the rooms were fully booked and thankfully they weren't so they moved me. Just a thought maybe they should have put the family in a stand alone room originally rather than next to the business traveller. Food in the restaurant in the evening was good and fairly reasonably priced.
Cons: I had breakfast the last time I stayed and it was shocking. With barely cooked poached eggs, soaked bread from where the eggs were placed on top with the water not being drained before hand. I have never seen watercress added to a breakfast dish before and clearly the chef had spent more time arranging the elaborate floral watercress display on my eggs than the preparation of the eggs themselves, as in cooking them so they were at least edible... Needless to say decided to not opt for the breakfast this time round and got something on route.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely clean rooms and comfy pub and a delightful country pub
Cons: Nothing
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely old pub. Comfy accommodation. Friendly and helpful staff. Easy ride down to Portsmouth docks for the early morning ferry.
Cons: Nothing

Cons: Nothing really.

9.0 Excellent (660 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Boathouse Hotel in Southampton (New Forest District), you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Beaulieu National Motor Museum and Peppa Pig World. Free self parking is available onsite.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast staff were lovely
Cons: Television was to small a screen, and had requested a Room overlooking the marina and didn’t happen
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location was fantastic as you can take the ferry from the pier to Southampton, you are close to Hythe town centre which has a selection of good looking restaurants, but we ate in at the Boathouse and the food was excellent. It's also easy to get in to the New Forest from here.
Cons: There wasn't anything we didn't like.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was lovely and the room was very comfortable. It was a nice touch to have a complimentary bottle of beer and a small bottle of wine.
Cons: Was a bit disappointed with the breakfast. Would have been nice to have a cooked breakfast included in the price. The continental breakfast was a little sparse, so did purchase a bacon sandwich which compensated.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Lovely view of marina. Staff were very friendly. Croissants for breakfast were good.
Cons: Lift was out of order, stairs are quite narrow to carry cases upstairs. Room was very cold first morning and no hot water for shower - problem with boiler. No wifi, apparently there are boosters but we were never able to get internet - a real problem for someone travelling on business. For price of room 290 pounds for 2 nights - we were Very disappointed. Breakfast was free but only sparse continental. No compensation offered.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Nice location and a good price for an expensive part of the country. The hotel is in a marina overlooking the Solent, where it is possible to watch everything from ferries to Cunard super ships going to and from Southampton, indeed it is very easy to visit Southampton as a ferry runs across the Solent to the city. The food is excellent and the service could not be more friendly.
Cons: Other than a few WiFi problems nothing worth mentioning.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The bed could have been more comfortable but otherwise the room and facilities were great and the restaurant had a good menu and the meal was excellent.
Cons: Staircase a little narrow although there is a lift.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great room, lovely meal, super location.
Cons: Would have preferred a traditional reception rather than check in at the bar.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Meals weren't as good as last year. My friend had an incomplete breakfast which had to be returned and then had very salty hard bacon. The evening meal's also were more gastro pub rather being unique as they were last year.
Cons: Breakfasts and evening meals were just like your usual gastro pub. Last year, we had a lovely experience and really enjoyed our curries and meals which seemed to be made to order.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely comfortable room. Breakfast was excellent.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely loved the relaxed atmosphere and the views across Southampton water
Cons: Absolutely nothing

Located in Southampton, The White Lion is within a 15-minute drive of Butser Ancient Farm and Titchfield Abbey. Free self parking is available onsite.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Accommodation excellent having separate living room.
Cons: Noise through the night from what we assume to be air conditioning from the pub.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Did not have breakfast due to my early exit
Cons: N/A
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely location, beautiful little pub on a traditional green with an attractive restaurant and rooms in a converted stables. Food was very tasty. There's also a lovely large beer garden. Staff were really helpful. I booked breakfast and then realised we needed to leave before they started serving, and they immediately offered to put a little packed breakfast together for us which they delivered to our room the evening before. We were made to feel really welcome.
Cons: The room upstairs clearly had a wooden floor which was incredibly noisy when anyone walked around or moved. Maybe consider carpet upstairs to deaden the sound.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The location and the pub are fabulous!
Cons: The accommodation was recently build in an old stable. However, the 3 rooms were created by using wooden panels so it was literally as if there were no walls! Big shame as the location is perfect. But if you want a good nights sleep I would look elsewhere.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely room, friendly staff and delicious food
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely breakfast.
7.9 Good
Pros: It had 2 bedrooms and we had no idea when we booked it!
Cons: It needed a hoover round, especially the stairs. I couldn’t be helped but the church bells wake you early on a Sunday.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: White Lion is a first class accommodation with an excellent Restaurant. Very nice and comfortable apartments. The very best stay we had on our round trip through southern England.
Cons: Everything excellent.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely locality; friendly welcome in a splendid, traditional country pub; excellent, good-value food (& drink) at dinner and breakfast; very comfortable bed in a cozy, if smallish, room.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: It's definitely boutique and quirky with real character. It's surprisingly peaceful and comfortable.
Cons: I'd like some outdoor space but I understand that's difficult in this area and the location beside the Rock Gardens makes up for it.
5.4 Okay
Pros: It was close to the seafront
Cons: It was soooo expensive. £350 for 1 night. We were disappointed because we expected luxury for that price. The shower head didn’t move up and was uncomfortable for me let alone my husband who is 6ft 4
6.0 Good
Pros: A very comfortable room and breakfast was good. Walking distance to the seafront.
Cons: I thought it was a glorified B&B not a hotel as there was no lounge or bar area. The vicinity was very noisy at night with loud shouting and swearing during both nights. Was not comfortable that our car was safe parked on the street in view of the locality.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We loved the boutique style of the hotel. The room was very comfortable.
Cons: Nothing I can recall.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Helpful, friendly staff.

Pros: A really lovely comfortable room.
Cons: There is on street parking for which the hotel issue permits; however, the streets are very tight and finding a space could be tricky.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Mercer collection is a series of fantastic boutique hotels and they offer a seriously great service with a high attention to detail. The hotel is calm yet ideally placed for Portsmouth or southsea. I will always try and stay here when in the area
Cons: Having to leave.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The bedroom was really nice and the bathroom was amaizing. It was very comfortable and worth the money.
Cons: The breakfast was too early as it finished by 9am.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, good decor and good comfort
Cons: Off street parking is limited to SIX parking bays whilst the hotel has THIRTEEN suites. On street parking in the evening is mission impossible at best . The hotel should say that parking facilities are VERY limited.

7.5 Good
Pros: Nice room, excellent location to esplanade. The Pub for meals worked out OK.
Cons: The parking is a real issue. It is hit and miss if you get a park nearby in very narrow streets. The worst parking arrangements during our 4 weeks in the Uk.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very helpful staff, beautifully decorated with a great deal of thought into the fixtures and fittings. Food excellent at the Florence Arms. Good selection of drinks and enticing menu.
Cons: Reception was slow
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The property is ideally located for Southsea, especially the Pyramid centre. Breakfast was included and offered a good variety and was good quality. The room, although very small offered a good level of comfort and cleanliness.
7.5 Good
Pros: Stayed just 2 nights - quirky hotel split over 3 buildings so breakfast was next door but was excellent. Staff were good especially Jasmine whose customer service was fantastic. High quality toiletries and breakfast products.
Cons: We were a little disappointed how small our double room was, for what we paid - there was no room for a bedside cupboard on one side of bed. We booked this hotel based on its beautiful photos of the rooms but the room we were given wasn’t shown, and was not what we were expecting however it was very clean. Tiny bathroom with wobbly toilet seat - despite requesting it be resecured, it wasn’t done. We ate in nearby Florence Arms which was nice but wasn’t impressed with the food - I ordered 2 veg spring rolls and 1 samosa pastry as I just wanted a snack - both were luke warm and had no flavour - I expected more for £11.
7.1 Good
Pros: Decor good. Breakfast very good.
Cons: Don't know where the word suite comes from. We had a tiny room and a bathroom with no bath. Expected more for the money.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was amazing and the service from Jasmin was outstanding. A lovely stay.
Cons: N/A
5.8 Okay
Pros: The Gator pub was excellent and breakfast was really yummy.
Cons: Noisy courtyard just outside our bedroom. The room was so small I was constantly bumping into furniture. I got stuck in the shower and had to get my husband let me out as the door wouldn’t open. No air con - very stuffy!
7.1 Good
Pros: It was easy to find and the check in staff were helpful We had a meal in the local pub associated with the property The meal was very good
Cons: When we left we handed in the key and parking permit to the reception staff on duty We were off very early to catch the ferry to France When we landed there was a message saying we had not had in the parking permit which incurred a £100 fine It took 2 calls by my husbands to sort this out Which left a bad taste as the permit had been misfiled
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The cleanliness and location excellent
Cons: We had a suite, as it was hot a fridge in the room would have been great, and we had a decking area which was definitely in need of some TLC!!! And also had smokers other side of Fenching which not being smokers was no very pleasant, but overall a great few days away
7.1 Good
Pros: We did not have breakfast.
Cons: For an executive king room it was really small, we have stayed in other hotels in Southsea in the Mercier group and have had much bigger king rooms at a similar price, with really comfortable beds. The bed wasn't comfortable, not at all supportive.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very spacious room and bathroom and loved the quirkiness of the sloping floor! We were made very welcome by all the staff.
Cons: Despite being assured that the bar below is vacated at 11.30pm it was very noisy until after 12.30 which made it difficult to sleep. Bar was a bit pricey for our favourite wine so we only had a glass each!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Good clean comfortable room. Good food, good beer
Cons: A little pricey
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything except breakfast
Cons: Very small portion of scrambled eggs on one piece of toast Waitress seemed to be in a rush for us to order as she needed to be quick so she could prepare tables for 80 odd lunches...which we didn’t really want to know that...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really great communication from the team. Felt very welcome, and the room was just lovely. I wish I could have stayed for two nights like I had originally planned. Breakfast very nice. All in all, I would love to come back and stay again.
Cons: A few extra biscuits maybe. There was a bottle of beer but I never found a bottle opener.
9.2 Excellent

Cons: Needed extra light in bedroom for make up etc
9.0 Excellent

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Rooms are very cosy and nicely designed
7.0 Good
Pros: We are fairly regular visitors, as love the sense of history & the village/town as a whole. Went into Winchester by bus for lunch for a change. Special mention for Korina, as she is so friendly, helpful and efficient.
Cons: Little things changing e.g. no longer given a thermos of fresh milk for the room, just those horrid longlife catering things. Went elsewhere for the first time for our evening meal as the menu wasn't particularly enticing.
7.1 Good
Pros: Clean tidy comfortable bedding.
Cons: Room was small .a few little snags .toilet flush needs repair.
7.9 Good
Pros: Bedrooms were very nice. Well furnished, clean and due to the warm weather, fans were available.
Cons: When you book for two nights you do not expect to receive a phone call, during the day after the first nights stay, to be informed that you are being moved!!!!! The staff were all polite and apologetic about the situation, pity the Management weren’t. No apology, no small token of compensation. I won’t be back

5.4 Okay
Pros: Nice and clean
Cons: Double bed didn’t have 1 topper so it was uncomfortable when sleeping with my partner - back pain. Morita didn’t greet us she just said what’s your last name Beefy’s restaurant - I found a hair and when I told staff a young chap had no clue what to do so just took the hair away and left my plate on the table as if I was supposed to eat it! Only when another lady came along and saw me not eating did she then replace my meal.

7.1 Good
Cons: Our room was a little tired the bathroom was tiny but the jacuzzi bath was the same floor size as the bathroom but in the bedroom how long it would have taken to fill I didn’t try
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The fact the rooms were all different , the breakfast was amazing
Cons: The fact I couldn't stay longer
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The bed was very comfortable
Cons: Lots of damp patches in our bathroom and also a few leaks in the dining room and the carpet was very wet in places. In fairness we were in the middle of a thunderstorm.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The breakfast was lovely and the hotel was in a perfect location. We also liked the jacuzzi bathtub and big bed.
Cons: I chose this hotel for our Wedding night because I had seen it on TV and it looked fabulous. Very quirky with exciting decor. Unfortunately it seems that since the cameras had left it had gone somewhat downhill. Our room, whilst clean had lots of lights not working, grime on the shower cubicle and the bathroom floor, a peeling headboard that had seen better days and generally the room looked like it needed a good paint. This was by no means a £200 a night hotel room and left us feeling very short changed. The hotel itself always seemed to look like it was on 'change over' day and was quite untidy with lots of towels, sheets, linen bags etc on display in reception. It looked liked it needed a good hoover and clean up. Also it seems that the staff just enter rooms and do not knock first as we had someone do that to our room and then to the one next door whilst people were still in it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was great, bed was comfy
Cons: Bath towels not large enough for me as I need to loose weight.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location was great for our plans and staff were friendly and attentive. Breakfast made to order which is nice.
Cons: The decor is starting to look a bit tired and shabby, the bathroom in particular in our room could do with a bit of attention!

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Restaurant / bar was good, wifi was good also Very friendly staff.
Cons: 5 stars is too optimistic
6.3 Good
Pros: Welcome drinks in the room and the food was excellent.
Cons: Room was very grimy in places. Specifically the skirting boards and plug hole in the bathroom . The hangers in the wardrobe and the ornate mirror on the dressing table were very dusty.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff was great. The hotel was a great place to relax after traveling from Canada.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Pilgrim Inn is comfortable and characterful - we were in Room 1, right by the door but it was all remarkably peaceful. We really appreciated no horrid little pots of UHT milk - fresh milk was available in the fridge in the lobby and there was a good selection of teabags etc in the room. The staff could not have been more helpful. Breakfast was lavish and speedy with a wide choice, check-out not til 11 so no rush in the morning. Dogs are allowed to come with their owners to breakfast - fabulous!
Cons: My only criticism is that there was no yogurt at breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean & friendly also little personal touches which make you fill welcome staff are friendly & very helpful.
Cons: Cant say i have any negative comments
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I cannot fault anything. It made the start of our holiday stress-free. The staff were all friendly and helpful. I will recommend the venue to anyone. The food was good.
Cons: Nothing!!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This place is a gem! So pretty and picturesque. Our room was a real pleasure: full of character, quiet and cosy in a thatched, red brick cottage-style building. The bathroom was big and beautiful: waterfall shower with plenty of hot water. I lazed in the roll top bath, a relaxing way to end the day. Bath robes and slippers provided - and one thing I really appreciate: face cloths. Loathe having to repack a damp one! Complimentary bottle of beer and wine, along with espresso machine in the room, water and fresh milk in a fridge in the lobby 24/7. Breakfast was very nice, using local produce and meat, organic eggs etc. Friendly and helpful staff. Amazing value for money!
Cons: Ate our evening meal there: tasty food but my very modest chunk of grilled salmon along with creamed leeks looked like a child's portion in comparison to my husband's fish and chips. Being still hungry after that, I ordered the cheese board, which was a nice one but way too much cheese for one person- or even two. The waiter did ask if we were sharing it, but when I said no and my husband ordered something else the waiter didn't explain it was actually meant for sharing. I felt guilty wasting so much food!

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Loved the service, and plenty of parking. Good size rooms. Loved the dog biscuits and dog bowls, it was a nice touch.
Cons: The lamps were dusty. Some suggestions and info for what’s available around the area would be nice too.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Plenty of parking, good food and friendly staff. Great complimentary basket (well I hope it was complementary) in room.
Cons: Has the title states they trying to be a high class place with electronic locks and a safe in the room. But the bathroom needs a referb. Rust round taps bath panel coming apart bin all dented and toilet seat peeling.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Was an awesome stay, staff was friendly and the complementary basket on the bed was a lovely touch and the food is amazing. Also the only place we have been to that has a proper bottle of milk in a little fridge for the proper coffee.
Cons: Paid upfront and upon arriving had to use a card with enough money to pay again (deposit for damages which is refunded on checkout) which is fine but wasn’t told when booking which may have been a problem if it was an end of the month treat and and there was a few bits of dust mist in the bedroom (round the lamps/vase above the bed) just little bits, just being picky it is a fantastic place to eat and stay and I would definatly advise going.
7.1 Good
Pros: The rooms are large and well equipped and there is onsite parking and separate entrance for the accommodation.
Cons: The service in the restaurant was poor and the steaks were well over priced, with the triple cooked chips only cooked once!

Pros: The room was very spacious and lovely bathroom with good working facilities. The location was excelent. The entrance to the hotel is through a bar, however even though the bar was full of people, we did not hear any noises. will visite again.
Cons: The only thing that bothered me is that the entrance had steps and no lift.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location was great for a night’s stay before joining a cruise ship. The service was first class in all areas and the food was excellent.
Cons: The property does not have a lift to the bedrooms, which for some guests would be a problem.
6.3 Good
Pros: Good shower, comfortable bed and good tea making facilities. Nice little extras like dressing gowns etc
Cons: Very noisy from Saturday night activities outside our window. Old filthy window frames that didn't shut properly. Double glazing needed.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very great value, friendly staff and great accommodation
Cons: Was a bit noisy, but as above pub in Southampton’s pub and restaurant area on a music festival Saturday night was to be expected.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location is 2nd to none for bars and restaurants The food at the white star is excellent full marks to the chef
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel rooms have everything you need , lively location with good restaurants and bars near by .great breakfast, friendly staff, good location easy and cheap parking 2 mins away. would stay here again.
Cons: Could be a liitle noisy if you want a quiet night due to the bars but didnt bother us as we were out late! maybe a liitle refresh on some of the decor but over all definatley recommend .
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff; clean, well presented rooms, with attention to detail, fabulous breakfast choice, private entrance for late night entry after check in! Lovely.
Cons: Due to the location, the noise from local bars / drunks was a little irritating, but Friday night in a busy city street, it can’t be helped! Completely nothing wrong with the place though.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was amazing and the staff are brilliant.
Cons: Could be a bit lively after midnight because of the location. But otherwise fantastic
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Superb breakfast selection. I marked facilities down only because there were no TVs in the bedrooms, although this is definitely not what everyone wants. So could be a bonus for some. Great location for us in s street with lots of restaurants.
Cons: Smelly front stairs up to rooms. Only one coat hanger. We took the bath robes off theirs to use them, so ended up with four.
