Rooms need to have a microwave. Even the less expensive hotels have them now.

The bed was SO comfortable! I wish they served a complimentary breakfast. It's so convenient when traveling to be able to eat on location and if course, who doesn't love it when it's included in the cost of the room!

We liked it all, from the moment we walked inside the doors! The Staff was very helpful, went beyond the second mile! No
checkout at noon and plenty of parking I believe renovations start next year. For now, rooms are outdated and don't feel clean. The property appears short staffed so service is friendly, but things don't get done in a timely manner or at all.
Lobby is beautiful Outdated rooms
The staff. Top notch and very happy to help with any need or request! No microwave in room. Food is below par for my tastes.
This is a big beautiful grand hotel/resort located on a golf course with golf course and lake views. The customer service is great. Housekeeping service not always perfect: Cleanliness great; but room was not made up one day. (No, I did not have the Do Not Disturb tag on the door) No coffee provided on two days.
Staff was very helpful No coffee pot in room
Despite close proximity to airport, it was quiet. Front desk and house keeping staff were courteous and friendly. The onsite restaurant was good and reasonably priced. Had to wait 30 minutes to check in because they did not have my reservation in the system (it was booked using one of those hotel booking sites). It was eventually resolved but not something you want to do at midnight after a long trip. First room had a telephone but no wire connecting it. The TV set did not work. 2nd room had a telephone with a connecting wire but no dial tone. With two queen beds, room was a little tight, could not sit at the desk and another person get by. In both rooms, toilet seats were loose.
Staff was excellent, room was clean, restaurant/bar on-site, free breakfast, timely shuttle to the airport. It was exactly what I needed to catch my flight the next morning. Bathroom was a little small and there was no conditioner for my hair, but otherwise my stay was great.
approximate to airport, clearn & staff was helpfull lobby was extremely hot and humid, restaurant was ok... food not so great.
View of Overgrown, abandoned hotel across the parking lot and moldy/ musty smelling room.
Everything about the actual room was nice. We stayed the night in a king size. There was air conditioning, a fridge, and free coffee packets. Overall, I think Comfort Inn is a good name, because we both slept like babies. I wish we were up early enough to eat the breakfast. I'm sure it was good. The staff was nice overall. However, when I checked in, one of the nice ladies at the counter didn't speak English too well. Communication was difficult, but I'm not sure how much control Comfort Inn has over this nitpick. Also, at least for now, there is a lot of construction in the area. So it's hard to imagine what the stay would have been like without it. But neither of us were particularly fond of the prolonged roadwork.
Staff was very friendly and professional. Restaurant was open late and had free room service. Breakfast started early.
Great pool and very friendly staff. Definitely a very quirky hotel but a nice place to stay. I paid for a room that did NOT overlook the pool, however the staff "upgraded" us to a pool-side room. This would have been great but there was a 40th birthday party going on all day and well into the evening. The adults at the party were very clean and courteous but their kids, who played in the pool for 10 straight hours, were extremely loud. It made it impossible to nap during the day, and the next morning I was awoken by the sound of the kids playing in the pool again at 8am.
The pool view. The noise and the staff's attitude.
Staff was great Room was a bit run down. Shower drain stopped up. Gave us a room next to one they were doing major construction on, so very loud.
Loved the restaurant and the staff. When my son booked the room the info stated there was a free breakfast but there wasn't.
location It seemed like they they partially renovated but did not really want to spend the money to do the job right. So the lobby looks nice and modern but the rooms were just ok, and certain features (for example the bathrooms) were not renovated and appeared sort of dingy.
Decent place to stay and staff is very nice, but being more expensive than the other hotels in the area, I thought it'd have more to offer. Very tiny bathroom, pretty run down looking
Very nice for early morning flight. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Airport location Nothing
A heavenly oasis conveniently located Absolutely nothing - it was fabulous!
Comfortable, quiet, accessible to airport Reception. Girl difficult to understand. Nasal tone and way too fast and she was resentful when I asked her to slow down and after that was completely unhelpful.
Clean and comfortable There was no shampoo & only one pack of regular coffee
The room was updated, clean, and comfy. Was everything you hope for in a hotel room after a long day of traveling.
Liked the park and fly component. We were taken quickly to the airport early in the morning and picked up promptly on return. All staff were friendly and helpful. Everything was fine.
Room is clean
convenience, breakfast is fine, clean, near rental car lots and expressway access. polite staff. coffee maker and microwave in room. comfortable bed. reasonable price. I always stay there when visiting Michigan. faucets and knobs in tub were loose and almost falling off.
Great service. I was able to check in early with my mother (on our way to her high school reunion), and then the airport shuttle in the morning was extremely accommodating and allowed me to see her off, and take a nap before my grandkids arrived in the afternoon. All around perfect!!
Great restaurant and comfy bedding. No bath tub to bathe my child? Very inconvenient.
Very quiet location. The room was spotless. The evening staff was not very helpful. This did not take away from the overall experience.
The room was clean, the amenities were up to hotel standards. The walls are very thin and the noise from the multiple highways surrounding the area make it difficult to get a good nights sleep. Of course around 3-4am you get a break in the cacophony. Bring good ear plugs and you should be fine.
It was clean and staff was nice Our room was given to someone else. We were tired and it was frustrating to have a delay in getting a room. The desk clerk was very nice and apologetic for the situation. The Inn was very clean and nicely decorated, but the traffic noise was such that it interrupted our sleep
Pricing was appealing limited breakfast staff was not very attentive- rude abrupt at check in
Ample, clean rooms, friendly staff, perfect location to University of Michigan North Campus. Fair continental breakfast and competitive price. Nothing.
The proximity, cleanliness, price and service were excellent. Nothing.
Inexpensive and clean. Friendly, helpful staff. Free breakfast. Reasonably quiet despite being full. We did have to wait for the breakfast area to clear before we could get anywhere near it. Two separate sports teams (a volleyball and a swim team) had all their groups eating at 8am.
It was perfect for me...from size of room to amenities to location, including price...very clean...staff very friendly & helpful. There were no problems/issues. My reservation was made on line and check-in/check-out was quick & smooth. I'd recommend this place to everyone.
The value of the price I paid and the cleaniness of the hotel were fantastic
quiet , peaceful
Horrible buying experience. Was flying to Michigan to bury my mother. Connecting flight was missed due to late departing flight. Called when delay was announced, hotel nor purchasing service was willing and able to transfer reservation to a Clarion in the city we were stranded in or give a refund. Just what I need at such a time.
You must call the shuttle after a certain time to come pick you up, unlike everything on the website which says it runs 24/7 every 15 mins. The front desk lady was also rude.
Clean, comfortable room....hastle free for seniors. easy access to our car for loading luggage. Good continental breakfast. Everything was good.
Convenienve to Detroit Metro Airport
Loved the location and low price. The hotel was close. Clean place to stay right by the airport that was a good deal at the last minute. No need to spend more at other spots.
Poor service. Called five times from airport to arrange shuttle to hotel to pick up car
The location was very good. The check in and out was easy. The television remote was not programmed and although the clerk said she would send someone to fix it, he never came.
Staff was very helpful, shuttle was very convenient. The rooms were also clean. For the price I expected a little more, the hotel is an old remodel and it shows as you stroll through on your way to your room.
I lked that the pool and hot tub was right by my room. The breakfast was great. The rooms are very comfortable. I got the best room. But the heater didn't work. I called the front desk 4 times all day. At 10pm I went up to the desk the guys that was there had left. The young girl that was working the desk was great and got me a new room but its not what I asked for. I had to settle just so I had somewhere to sleep. I was not happy at all.
We got a good night's sleep They need to. Vacuum the rooms better.
It has a very warm and hard working staff at the reception. Huge Rock garden with couches to sit around and relax. Free WiFi, without any password or signing in. Indoor heated swimming pool. Kuerig machine and cups available in each room. Buttons to call elevator were not working properly. Carpets inside the elevator was dirty.
Very nice set up; friendly and helpful staff
good location The pool maintenance man was rude. The guests were a bunch of yahoos that camped out at the breakfast buffet table devouring everything.
Provimity to UMich Everything, especially the rip-off rates charged due to the home game
Location proximity to UofM Hospital is good in spite of road construction which is out of their control. Breakfast was good. Price was very good for the area but overpriced in regards to the overall facility. I would also highly recommend Zingerman's Roadhouse a few blocks from the hotel for dining. DO NOT eat at hotel except "free" breakfast. Poor parking layout. First set of key cards didn't work so I had to go back down to front desk and then when I came back from the hospital for my second nights stay the second set they gave me the first night didn't work so I had to walk back down to front desk. Only functional ice machine was 4th floor. The bar was unable to make a basic Manhattan. The patty melt I got the 1st night was so greasy I barely ate a third of it. (didn't eat there again during my 3 day stay. Business center never had internet connection while I was there. Limited TV channels with no guide. Guide in info book in room was totally wrong. Dirty glasses left in room, ice bucket not cleaned or bag replaced.
friendly staff facilities are older and worn
closeness to UMich overall comfort was not there. The A/c in the room was extremely noisy. The whole room had stale smell. No relaxing chair in the room, one has to mostly sit on the bed. The outside light was too bright from the gaps at the end of the curtains, makes it hard to sleep.
Front desk staff was helpful in recommending resturants No working ice machine. Was given "handycapped room which I did not need or request. Toilet "chair" legs had rusted all over bathroom floor
It was a good distance from downtown Ann Arbor without being right in downtown. The room smelled weird, the bathroom wasn't all the way cleaned, the wifi didn't work at all - it was just a ridiculous experience being there, but it was for two nights and it did the job so whatever.
Cheapish Old and grungy feeling to the place
There was nothing redeemable about this Days Inn except for the fact that they had a room for us to stay in We had called prior to booking ahead about whether cats were allowed in the hotel. (We are moving cross country with our cat). They said yes, so we booked our hotel room with them. When I called the day of our flight to let them know we would be arriving late with our cat (our flight was delayed 5 hours), the woman on the phone yelled at me that the hotel has a no cat policy. However, on the Days Inn website, the hotel is listed as pet-friendly. They made an exception for us but I was surprised at the reaction of the front desk person on the phone.
Counter staff were nice, check-in went smooth, and the price was decent. The hotel (which was in the middle of an EXTREMELY messy remodel) literally looked like something out of a war zone. It was hands down the grossest, messiest construction site I have ever seen. There was rubble everywhere, mountains of large chopped down trees piled up outside, paint and stucco every where. It was completely absurd to be running a remodel in an operating hotel that looked like that. The rooms themselves were ok, but many things were out of place, room numbers were taped to the wall beside the doors and it just felt off. I am not usually picky about the 3-4 dozen hotel/motels I stay in each year, but this one was ridiculous.
The location was great and our room was very clean. The Smoke Detectors on our floor were falling out of the ceiling. The girl that checked us in didn't know the area, and couldn't give us any advise or help on finding a place to go for dinner.
Very comfortable beds and the rooms were pretty clean. It was under construction, the breakfast area was a mess, cold breakfast only, my fiance got sick from an allergic reaction to something in the sheets.
Our room had an air conditioner that didn't work and a leaking ceiling with a full bucket of dirty water under it. The room should have never been rented to anyone. They did move us to another room whe we asked.
the flat screen tvs and the beds were nice That not every room had a fridge and microwave
Employees were fantastic. The beds were rock hard. needs some remodeling. its very outdated.
Great service at front desk. Clean room and nicely renovated. Because construction was going on it did not look very appealing when pulling in for first time. A little noisy at times.
For an early morning flight this is a fine location - return the rental car at night, sleep and shuttle to the airport in the early morning. Functional and Efficient. The restaurant needs an update...
Location, rate, & staff Rooms a little 'run down' needs an upgrade.
At least we had a place to stay on a busy football Saturday. This facility is in major need of overhaul. It is dated, dirty, and has several areas in need of repair.
It has a great location. I went to mich U and was perfectly located. The place looks ok, room was nice. Morning breakfast was ok also Classic cheap hotel smell.
How dirty and broken curtain were. The second lock on the door was broken off.
I like nothing about it. I did noy stay. It was nothing like the picture that they show. I do not reccomend that place to anyone.
Building was in poor shape. The ceilings were leaking in the hallways. When additional towels were requested, we were provided on small towel. During high time breakfast rush, breakfast area was disorganized and chaotic. Many of the items were not available.
Room was clean & staff punctual. Ideal location and close to major highway Excessive price for dated facility. Free breakfast was so so...not much to choose from
The location was convenient and it was relatively inexpensive, but still overpriced for what it is Filthy, dirty. Very uncomfortable beds. Dripping shower. Fire and smoke alarms beeped because there were no batteries in them. Desk person told me that I should climb up and change it myself. I tossed it out into the filthy hallway with the non-locking outside door. Overall, very ghetto
Good Location Staff seemed indifferent , cold hallways , poor management,
I liked absolutely nothing about this place The staff was rude. The cleanliness of the entire place was horrible, The beds were old the pillows were old and stained The bathroom was so bad I refused to use it Paint and plaster was falling off the walls overall this place was disgusting.
Adequate parking Paint chipping off walls, slight musty smell in hotel, housekeeper knocked on door at 10am and told us to check out (check out is at 11am)
facility in poor shape. Price way too high
The public area's were very nice and appealing. Indoor and outdoor pool were both clean. Room was large bathroom was nice. Large bar area (did not use but looked nice). Biggest continental Breakfast I've ever seen. Slow drain in shower was annoying. Iron chained to ironing board rendered the entire board useless. Bed was very hard, uneven and uncomfortable. Breakfast was HUGE but very limited selection of food. It was huge in SIZE not in selection, but still better than the average CONTINENTAL breakfast.
Location to Detroit airport. Very little outside noise. Could have been because hotel was almost empty. Poor help. Room key did not work had to go back twice. Got stuck outside the hotel and had to walk completely around. AC controls did not function correctly. Unit was flashing low battery. could not use the auto function on the thermostat. So the fan never shut off and it was loud.Bathroom counter was so low it was almost not usable. Pool was under repair. Employees just didn't seem to care. Continental breakfast left a lot to be desired.
A place to sleep. Been to this brand of hotel before and this is not what I expected. Sheets were turned inside out to guessing not washed. Had to slam the door to get it to close. Changed rooms 3 time to make sure I got the king size bed I requested. Rooms had water damage on the ceiling, tv remote was broken along with a the TV which had broken tubes. Maintenance was called but never showed up.
super convenient to spend a night here before flying out of DTW, the shuttle left every 15 mins. my girlfriend and i enjoyed the overall layout of the place, and wished we could've stayed longer to enjoy the complimentary breakfast. would definitely stay here again hardly anything at all.
Nice beds Cold pool, paper thin walls, fan didn't work on the register
Clean rooms, friendly staff, nice atmosphere The groups of hockey teams playing hockey in the lobby, running the halls during the night. Parents drinking in lobby and walking and talking halls at night. The hot tub again (second year in a row) was not functioning.
Comfy bed Noisy hallway traffic both nights. Rooms all have doors that slam shut loudly. Cheesy motel heater needed to run all night to maintain 70°f and it was only 34°f overnight.
The garden area was beautiful. Comfortable beds, excellent free breakfast with hot oatmeal, waffles, bagels, a toaster and soo much more. Very relaxing, romantic, comfortable, puts you at ease. Free shuttle to rent a car and airport. Rough toilet paper and the towels could have been better quality. Staff not available 24 hours to bring you towels.
Excellent breakfast, spacious room, good parking Nothing
Front desk and airport shuttle staff was pleasant. Location great. Wyndham Garden lacks commitment to running a quality facility here. Staff was pleasant at desk but facilty lacks attention and it needs a make over. Ugly decor and poor attention to room. My room had dust and crud under bed, bed cover had stains, pillows uncomfortable, TV had only 3 channels with clear picture & no "sleep" feature, dirty water back filled sink during middle of night. The complimentary breakfast & dining area is under a roofed courtyard with pool etc. where the lighting is the same distasteful orange color found in outdoor industrial areas.
This was the dirtiest hotel I've ever stayed in, I can't believe it showed up at the top of my kayak search. The room supplied minimal toiletries, I waited 45 minutes for the airport shuttle to arrive and then another 25 minutes to drive the mile to the hotel because the shuttle made so many stops.
This was our 3rd stay at this hotel. Hotel experiences typically reflects it's local leadership. Each time we return because the hotel personnel are so courteous and professional. Never experienced an untoward event. Hotel staff. Professional and courteous.
It was a very clean, well kept hotel. But the fire alarm went off at 6:30 am and we stood outside for an hour before being allowed to go back inside. No compensation was given for this major inconvenience.
Very easy check in and check out process. Friendly staff. Loved the decor of the hotel. The room was great and the bed was comfortable.
Everything was up st standard
Clean Friendly helpful staff Nice rooms Hotel Bar One of the best hotel breakfasts Shuttle service Pricey Breakfast is not free
Clean and quiet Charges $3 for coffee in the lobby. What hotel does that nowadays? I went out to Tim hortons and bought one cheaper.
My reservation got messed but because of a third party website but they took care of everything for me very quickly and professionally. The room and beds were awesome as well. I would definitely stay at this hotel again
Staff all very helpful & friendly.
Wonderful staff, quality breakfast options, and a very nice, comfortable room.
We were there to take our child to her appointment at U of M Children's Hospital. It was a relaxing experience with a wonderful staff. The best part was they offered a shuttle to the hospital. That alone took a lot of stress off of us. Thank you again and we will be back.
One of the friendliest staffs I've ever seen (and I travel quite a bit).
Convenient location, clean Outdated; breakfast area is very small and overcrowded
The staff was fantastic, very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and updated with nice carpeting, and the bed was very comfortable. Had a little trouble staying connected to wifi and frequently lost cell phone connection while in our room. We were very surprised to hear dogs whining and barking in the rooms surrounding ours. When we asked the manager about this, we were told we had been placed on the "pet friendly" floor...which we did not request, nor even know was an option at this hotel. The manager told us if we were disturbed by the barking they would speak to the pet owner...but the barking continued. The barking wasn't loud, but it was continuous until the pet owner returned. Probably not an issue for other guests with dogs, but for us it was a bit annoying...since we didn't have pets and did not request a pet-friendly room. Not a deal breaker for us, but it would have been nice to have been informed of other room options, or, if none other were available, been made aware of the situation BEFORE we booked.
As we expect from Hampton, the staff was courteous and helpful Room size anything but generous. Was surprised by the small size of our studio king and how cramped the breakfast area is.
Very friendly staff Smelled like potpourri
A very cosy hotel with very helpful staff. spacious room, good breakfast, good shuttle service, good laundry facilities, free Wi-fi. A huge value for money! Love to come back and stay in Hampton Inn (North)!
Convenient to North Campus and freeways, quiet, clean, safe.
Friendly staff Rooms too small
Beds are comfortable, clean rooms, nice pool and great breakfast. We just like it and will stay when we come again in March. Not bad, but when you flushed the toilet, it sounded like a plane was landing. Not annoying, it was funny but really strange. Never heard anything like it.
The hotel was clean and the front desk was very accommodating. I booked through Kayak and they had a hard time consolidating the reservation and did not reserve the room I requested. I got a king bed instead of double which could have been a problem but I was traveling with family so we managed.
We checked in late, checked out early. For the price it was a good value. No frills, just a place to spend the night, which is what we needed.
