Cons: "Asked specifically at the ticketing counter not to be seated in a non-emergency row. Were seated in an emergency row. For a 12 hour flight with seats that don't recline and nothing the on-board staff could do about the ticket counter's negligence and bad faith other than apologize. Seated upright for an overnight flight (for the second time on the same trip) for 12 hours. Not a pleasant experience. Had a feeling ANA would be bush league. This trip confirmed those suspicions. It wasn't the crew's fault (though they, unfortunately bore the brunt of my displeasure) so much as the counter's fault, but airlines charging what they are shouldn't be putting passengers or crew in this position. The ticket counter folks literally mislead us. They specifically told us that these were not emergency row seats and that we would have reclining seats and seatback displays in front of us like everyone else. The entire reason I asked is because we got stuck in the last row on the way in with seats that don't recline, which blows for a 12 hour red-eye flight. Instead we got seats that did not recline and a fold out screen that came from the right-hand arm rest. Not the end of the world if one had no choice, but certainly not what I paid for and certainly not what the ticketing counter people stated we were getting (under specific inquiry about the very point). The ticketing counter in particular seems to be skeevy, at best. To the detriment of their own crew, who is left apologizing for things they can do nothing about. As stated, this is a bush league international carrier. Avoid unless you love sleepless nights crossing the international dateline..."

Pros: "This was my first time flying ANA (LAX to Haneda and back) and I have to admit it was surprisingly great. I am a pretty tall guy and found the room for my feet in economy to be more than adequate even though i found myself in a middle seat both flights. The flight attendants were extremely attentive, even as my flights were both overnight/red-eyes. The selection of movies available at each seat was pretty good and included your standard Hollywood stuff along with a decent selection of Japanese film, television, and various documentaries. Whether or not subtitles are available for non-Japanese speakers for Japanese language media was kind of hit and miss (I actually did browse around quite a bit), but I was impressed nonetheless. I would warn some western based travelers that they may not find the food to be all that appetizing. I chose the Japanese style option both flights (rice, miso, salad, fish), however I know that had I had any of my family members along for the flight they would have gone with the international option and they probably wouldn't have enjoyed it all that much."

Cons: "During the same trip I discovered 2 different arrangements of the Business Class cabin on Singapore Airlines A350, SQ469 CMB-SIN, and SQ036 SIN-LAX. On the SQ036, I occupied seat 15 A (mono, aisle-window): I did not understand the reasoning behind this layout: Seat facing straight the front of the aircraft, but not enough space to stretch the legs, and limited height for the footrest, feet getting hurled against a ceiling very quickly, and also footrest only on one side = one foot. The deep cavity, that is probably meant to house the lie-flat disposition, is at a 45° angle with the general direction of the seat. I am 77 and not in any way a contortionist. I decided that the best course of action was to remain seated for the duration of the 14:30 hours, flight without extending my legs. Maybe the crew could have explained how the passenger is supposed to fit into that weird design, but I did not ask, afraid that the demonstration might reawaken chronic shoulder and hip pain. I would be glad to read (not test) how this configuration is supposed to convey the sense of comfort expected from a Business Class ticket. It did nothing of the kind for me."

Cons: "First experience with Singapore where the crew made a negative impression. As soon as the plane pulled away from the terminal, crew members seemed rushed and frantic, literally running back and forth from Economy Premium to the galley gathering items. Approximately every 7-10 minutes, crew members would be running back and forth next to my seat with heavy foot steps, which would wake me up. I also noticed that certain crew members were shouting at passengers to get their attention instead of lowering themselves to be heard. One flight attendant almost spilled orange juice on me because she turned around too fast trying to serve drinks. I'm not sure if they were short-staffed, or if it was the influence of a certain crew boss, but something was definitely wrong."

Cons: "We were supposed to fly back to Los Angeles from Tokyo on Wednesday, August 24th. We got to Tokyo Narita a little later than planned due to the Narita Express train being delayed. I had received emails that our flight had changed gates, and was then delayed, but when my sister and I went to check into our flight, we were told we were unable to board because it was too late. I thought it was absurd because the flight had not even started boarding, and I had gotten an email saying it was delayed. We tried to reason with them, but they would not let us on the flight. It was imperative that we got back to Los Angeles on Wednesday, but all our plans were ruined due to them bumping us off the flight. My sister had a connecting flight to Boston, which she then had to reschedule and was charged for. We were stuck another night in Tokyo, where we had to spend money on a hotel. The Singapore Airlines attendants eventually informed us that we could get on a flight the next day. This delayed us by 24 hours, which was highly inconvenient. It was also especially unnecessary since due to the flight being delayed, we would have absolutely been able to make it. I do not appreciate being bumped off of a flight due to airlines wanting to make more money, especially being stuck overseas. Its not like it was a domestic flight where we could just hop on another one in the next few hours, this totally derailed all of our plans. I do not appreciate the inflexibility of the Singapore Airlines agents, and this is not an experience that makes me want to recommend flying with Singapore Airlines. I appreciate that they did not charge us, however it was a major inconvenience that could have simply been avoided by better customer service and understanding."

Cons: "This trip was not quite as excellent as my flights on Singapore Airlines usually are; however, I cannot say for sure there was much that airline staff could have done to change this. A great deal of turbulence earlier in the flight made it difficult to enjoy the food. Also, there was a sewage-like smell that wafted through the air periodically - this could have been a child in the surrounding seats, though. Both of these issues seem difficult for the airline staff to address, however, unless the smell actually came from a problem with the ventilation system. The staff was exceptionally helpful and good-natured, though, which made the biggest difference. Thank you so much."

The food was good, but the portion was small and it feels limited. But overall it was amazing experience considering i got a really good price for this flight! Thank you, Qatar."

Cons: "Our flight from HK to LAX we were told that the pilot refused to wait for us even if we arrived in HK from cebu at 11:35 of July 29 and our flight to lax was at 12:05 .Cathay couldn’t do anything about it. We were billeted in a hotel far from the airport with free breakfast but no lunch was provided and the earliest flight they could give us was scheduled at 16:35 of Juy 30. Upon returning to the airport I asked a cathay staff regarding provisions for lunch but I was told there’s none.Overall our trip both to and from LAX were very uncomfortable and inconvenient. I hope Cathay will do something better in situations like we encountered. As of this writing I and my husband are still at HK airport waiting for our flight to LAX."

Cons: "It was a long delay, about an hour. The airline kept silence until too late. They gave us a blanket, some refreshments and where to have breakfast. Those who made a fuss were taken to hotel. Many others stayed at the airport and had a terrible night."

Cons: "I can’t find a number to call to report an item left on the plane, and I would seriously pay a couple hundred extra dollars to any airline that offered a child-free flight."

Cons: "At the HK airport the lady attending the check in, I believe her name is Tammy, I could not understand exactly what she was asking me to do because her voice was so low and her English was not clear. When I did not comply to what she was asking she very rudely did what she was asking me to do yet I could not hear or understand her. She even rolled her eyes. Very uncalled for and rude."

Pros: "Food was great, and the business class 777 seats are a delight. And the captain shuts up through the entire flight --- no interrupting your sleep or movie with stupid observations that no-one wants to hear."
Cons: "The quality of the screens (crappy slow resistive touchscreens) is completely unacceptable for business class in 2018. China Airlines screens are VASTLY superior in their hardware, their speed, and the quality of their UI. And running an ad before EVERY movie --- in business?! Talk about an airline having no sense of class. That's a cheap, stupid move."

Cons: "Boarding is not by row numbers -- this is chaotic with long snaking line. Aircraft Toilets get dirty quickly with urine on the commode and the floor. There needs to be a quick drying wet disinfection system. You must enable Gluten Free meals to come with 3 choices - Veg, Non Veg, Seafood only."

Cons: "We had to go through the security twice. One the bags we scanned and the other before getting into the airline. Was a waste of time."

Pros: "Not like but was okay with the leg room, comfort and entertainment on board the aircraft."
Cons: "The water they were serving was not bottled and tasted like restroom water. However when I brushed my teeth in the restroom, it did not have that horrid smell and taste as the drinking water did. Two inflight staff was rude, Didn't get their names but both ladies blocked passengers way when they were trying to get back to their seats and rolled their eyes at a lot of passengers for various requests. Completely not professional!"

Cons: "During COVID there was little attempt to distance passengers during security checks, boarding and onboard. Crew did not inforce mask policy. Fellow passengers were inconsiderate, loud, littered just throwing food wrappers and trash on the ground - crew did nothing."

Cons: "On Swiss website I added Rehe preference for a lactose free meal — but none were on the plane. The economy seats are close enough together I needed to hold my book to the side to read."

Pros: "When you lose your phone in the business class seat and a technician goes to find it once you land in Zurich and the day that it has miraculously disappeared there isn’t much to like at all about Swiss Airlines. Swiss Airlines isn’t going to hear the end of this is they don’t agree to replace my son’s phone. My husband is a lawyer and we are prepared to bring this to the public."
Cons: "My son dropped his phone in business class seat and the ground staff technician claimed it wasn’t there. Theft at its best! Swiss Air better take responsibility for their shady staff and agree to replace my don’s Phone promptly or we will take this to the public eye and courts. I’m sure we could get a big class action suit."

Pros: "From start to finish, Sevdije was in great hands. She had to be in a wheelchair, and there were three connecting flights in countries where she doesn't speak the language. It could have been so complicated, and everyone made it SO EASY. She was all smiles when she arrived in Boston. THANK YOU!!!!!!"

Cons: "The screens would freeze for all the people around. The connecting flight had 50 minutes, however there was another security check and gate was quite far, everything had to be done in a hassle and we were nervous throughout regarding missing the flight."

Pros: "The stewardesses were absolutely amazing, asking/ offering beverages in between main meals t/ out the whole flight! They were just doing their job above and beyond! Wonderful crew especially the girls in the section 30’s on the side FGJK, THANK YOU SO MUCH! YOU WERE AMAZING!"

Cons: "We were scheduled for a 55 minute layover in Zurich which was not nearly enough time. Our plane was 10 minutes late in landing but our next flight was delayed 5 minutes. We had to take a bus from the plane to the terminal, go through immigration with very long lines, take a tram to our departure terminal and then run to our gate which was at the end of a very long hallway. Luckily they held the plane but it was very stressful and exhausting getting to our plane."

Pros: "I treated myself to Swiss Business (for a second time) for this trip and it was terrific. From the comfortable seats, the fabulous dinner, the outstanding Swiss staff from the baggage check to the wonderful flight attendants, the flight to Zürich and the return trip to Boston was amazing! I cannot say enough good things about Swiss. I would love to be able to fly Swiss Business again when I travel to Zürich in September 2019."

Cons: "Too hot on plane, despite several requests to turn up air conditioning. Would be nice if pilot gave a few more updates as to why we sat on the tamac so long."

Pros: "Mobile check in worked well. Onboard service is very good, with decent food and complimentary beverages including beer and wine. Seats are relatively comfortable. Extensive selection of TV and movie entertainment."
Cons: "Boarding was a bit helter skelter. It’s a rather annoying that selecting seats is only available for an extra fee. The A340s used on this route are getting a little on the old side, and the once state of the art in seat entertainment system has a tendency to crash frequently and require lengthy reboots."

Pros: "The crew was superlative, and after I was stuck for an hour at passport control I found the captain waiting with my dog(in his crate) to make sure of his well being. He said he made sure he kept the climate control at 20c the whole time on the plane. You hear all these animal horror stories but this went above and beyond."

We just ran from one flight to another and barely made to our flight.."

Cons: "4-hour delay, followed by announcement of boarding gate, but nobody at security, necessitating weary travelers needing to leave the boarding area to go back out and through security again. On board, I was very uncomfortable, but responsibility primarily not the airlines, but due to seat mate. However, there was a chill wind blowing directly on my face for two hours."

Pros: "They are the best airline flying to Boston."

Cons: "Because there was no way for us to check in early or online and they did not send us an email directing us to do so, they put us on standby even though the flights were paid for months before. We couldn't sit together--they wouldn't even try, they let the computer do it randomly as we boarded. They put my son through ridiculous strip search security measures, and when my passport fell into to the steel bullet of a garbage can, they didn't help and my son and I figure out how to go through it to get my passport. They could not have been more unhelpful. Plus the food was terrible, and delays both in taking off and getting to the gate. I will NEVER fly Swiss Air again."

Cons: "Provided headphones are horrible and headphone jack only puts out mono when used with a regular set of headphones."

Pros: "See above. Zurich is a very easy airport and even though our layover was short we never felt rushed or stressed."

Cons: "Online checkin was tricky. No help for online form which were probably translated from another language . Took me a few guesses to figure out what the 'valid for' field actually is... Departed 30 minutes late"

Cons: "There was no wifi available, the airline did not have a record of my request for a vegan meal even though I submitted one when I booked my tickets, and they claimed I did not pay for/reserve a seat (even though I had for the flight over, which I booked at the same time as the return flight), so I was stuck in a cramped middle seat for 8 hours trying to write a paper without the internet."

Pros: "Entertainment was great, planes was very clean, the food was excellent and the staff was friendly."
