They allowed passengers to board that were seated at the end of the plane while some 1 was boarding, causing tons of congestion. The boarding process was the slowest I have ever experienced in all the flights I’ve been on. The crew was ok, but slightly snappy/rude like typical New Yorkers. The flight from ft. Lauderdale to New York was much more pleasant."

He alerted the driver, called the boarding gate and led me to it."

We missed our connecting flight (we finally departed 15 minutes before our connecting flight left Denver); I had to call customer service while still sitting on the plane, and we were placed on a connecting flight out of Denver that left 4 hours AFTER we should have landed at our final destination. What should have been 9 hours of total travel time (including driving to and from airport, security checks, customs, etc.) turned into 20 hours, resulting in a lost 1st day of our trip."

Cons: "I realize that the airline doesn't have much control over screaming babies, but the reality is, my flight experience was significantly worse because of one, a couple rows back, who kept screaming at the top of their voice for most of the flight. While everyone was seating themselves, my fellow rowmates asked me to exchange my window seat for an aisle seat, so that grandmother, mother, and daughter could sit together. That put me two rows closer to that screaming baby. I came prepared to watch a movie with my phone and new noise canceling headphones, and then discovered the United Wi-Fi didn't offer movies on that flight, the same aircraft type and route as when I was able to watch a movie that way, earlier this year. I didn't find a way to connect my Bluetooth headphones to the plane's entertainment system, and I'm also disappointed in myself, to have to say, it took me far too long, to figure out that I needed to interact with the screen in front of me, through the control pad under my elbow on the armrest. By that time, there wasn't enough time left in the flight, to start a movie. So, I just played music stored on my phone, which helped mask the baby screams."

Once I had a severe reaction on a United flight and the cat was no where near me, but the air is circulating so I has to take benadryl. There should be some consideration for people who have health concerns without making the customer feel like we are a problem."

Had issue with Delta the next morning since none of our tickets were confirmed so spent 45 minutes at the desk trying to find a flight out and luckily the Delta staff went above and beyond to correct your companies mistake. I had my elderly mother and my sisters 2 year old traveling with us so all the extra back and forth did NOT make the expericance any easier and was very stressful on both of them. I’m a frequent flyer of multiple airlines and can easily say this was one of the worst experiences I have had to deal with and am very disappointed and feel cheated for having paid the price of the tickets."

Lauderdale. For any level of service Silver fares are ridiculously expensive, working out at almost $1.00/ mile flown for this journey - comparable to a $4400 economy fare from FLL to London!"

And...I checked in, went through security, only to be told my gate was on the other side of the airport. Had to go through security again. And of course the flight was delayed over 2 hours. Every time I have used Spirit the on time arrival is horrible."

Pros: "Good price. Staff and flight crew were courteous and efficient. This was my first time on this type of aircraft and what struck me was how wide the aisle was. It made moving around a lot easier. I found a row of open seats in the back, and the crew let me switch to that row and I was able to stretch out. That was nice."
Cons: "The seat comfort was ok for the first hour, after that I was cramping up and hurting a bit. A cross country flight would be a killer unless I switched to the good seats up front. I'm 65, so maybe that's part of the problem."

Cons: "I was randomly selected by the airline to do an intensive screening. And when I was minutes late to my flight I had to reschedule for the next day. And now I have to take THREE flights just to get from Florida to Colorado today. Over the course of 13 hours. No help with a hotel and very little consideration. If you don't figure out how to take better care of your fliers in these situations. Then they won't ever fly with you again. Costing you more than it would have costed to help with a hotel. But it was nice flying with spirit when I did! Thanks! Never again."

Cons: "They lied about volcanic ash to delay their flight because their crew was not ready to fly (they didn't have enough down time) meanwhile EVERY OTHER FLIGHT FLEW OUT. They would not give us a new flight. They would not give us food vouchers. No car rentals. No housing. We were stranded in a foreign country for 12 extra hours with NOTHING. On top of that they were rude, unhelpful, and after the 12 hour delay, DELAYED THE FLIGHT AGAIN. They would not help with anything. They simply blamed the "ash" that apparently didn't affect any other airline but Spirit. Never ever using them again."

They give you a good price on the flight ticket and then they get you on your luggage in a terrible way. 40 pounds instead of 50 like every one else. You have to pay for the carry on as well. They won't even give you water. First and last time with them. No thanks."

Cons: "I was asked to change my seat from 29A to 3E to accommodate a family who wanted to sit together. I was told that 3E was a better seat. 3E turned out to be a nightmare. A row away was a child who screamed for 75% of the flight but that wasn't the worst part. 3E was situated between a man and a woman who must have weighed 450 pounds! I literally had half of a seat for the entire flight. I really feel that I should be reimbursed because of how uncomfortable I was forced to fly for the entire flight. A person of that size should not be squeezed into a row of three seats."

Cons: "The customer service skills, or lack of thereof by the agents, and particularly of the manager, Davell. I could not check in at the kiosk and had to see an agent, which took 45 minutes due to the lack of organization to tend to the people. Because of this wait I miss my flight. Everyone around me was upset about something regarding the airline. However, even though I had missed my flight already, it was my birthday trip and I was not going to allow anything to ruin it. I figured I could just get on the next flight which was a couple of hours later ( in my head this was possible). When I finally got to an agent she informed me that the next flight was at 8:00pm. I was not willing to wait, but kindly asked if there was a manager I could speak to. As a person with more than 10 years of customer service, and always finding a way to help people, I was hoping to catch a break. I saw the manager whom with zero empathy told me to get in line. Stating that "she was the manager and there was a line of people who all needed to speak with her". I did not like her response, but complied and got in line. After Ms. Davell "helped" one person she proceeded to go to the back. I assumed to a break room or her office. At this point I started documenting the chain of events because, I wanted to share my concern with the airline. Ms. Davell came back and talked to a customer on the side, (whom had not been waiting in line for over 40 minutes for the second time) I attempted to get her attention by saying (nearly shouting)"ma'am", but she kept walking as if she hadn't heard me. It was then that I asked another agent for the name of the manager, but when she said it I could not understand it, so I asked "how do you spell it?". This agent said, "I don't know". So I replied, "you don't know how to spell your manager's name?" she responded "no". Then I asked her for her name. She said "Alicia". I thanked her and I added her name to my documentation. Minutes later, Manager Davell came out again to "help" someone on the opposite side of the counter. I could not just stand there and wait anymore. So, I walked towards her, and after she "helped" that person. I expressed her my case, and without any kind of empathy or even falsely pretending to care, she said there was nothing she could do. She said the next available flight was the next day. Keep in mind that all this time Ms. Davell is looking at me straight in the face without even a fake smile , and with one eyebrow as high as her hairline. I was extremely disappointed for just the lack of customer service and very calm expressed it to her. I stated that as a manager, she was leaving me a lot to wish for. I added that I could not believe she was a manager. Her response, "ok" with the elevated eyebrow and an "I don't care" face. I then went to Delta and bought a one way ticket to Fort Lauderdale. Everything was completely different, and I regreted not booking my flight with Delta to begin with."
Cons: "Horrible custmer service. There were not enough agents to assist all of the customers. The agents that were there were careless and slow. The flight was delayed 4 times. They nickel and dime you for everything making their cheap flight more expensive than traditional carriers."
Pros: "It was an overall great experience. He flight was very smooth even for someone who is terrified of flying."

Cons: "The crew was complaining as we were boarding about how tired they were to each other and not really helping guests. There was a crying baby for a long time on the red eye and I felt they could've offered the mother some help but they didn't do anything. Then the mother tried to stand up after we had landed but before the seat belt sign had gone off and the stewardess freaked out on her. Could've handled the situation much more professionally. The seats suck, the tray tables suck, not having a complementary beverage sucks, and paying for carry on bags sucks. But that's Spirit and everyone knows that is why they suck."
