I tried to explain that I had no control over the situation. It fell on deaf ears. I was so upset and frustrated that I could barely speak. My miles are now lost as the entire round trip ticket was cancelled and I have no way to regain all those miles that I wasted. It was the first time Delta did not come through for me and I must say, it's left a very bitter taste in my mouth. I couldn't believe that there isn't some provision (there is if I had paid for my ticket) and have lost all those miles that I use to fly Delta. So much for customer service."

Delta has a new policy that these tickets are not allowed to have certain privileges that tickets purchased on their own site have. Unbeknown to us, one of these is the ability to select your seat. On the ride from CVG to FLL we were assigned seats in the back of the plane, but at least we were next to each other. On the way back, we were not assigned a seat at all. We arrived to the airport almost 4 hours before the flight and were still not assigned a seat and were told we would have to speak to the gate agent. Even we when spoke to the gate agent, they still did not have a seat. It was not until we had already started the boarding process that they called us up and told us that we were going to be sitting 5 rows apart, both in a middle seat."

I used an AA discount to get a room in Charlotte but we didn’t get to the airport until almost 2am so I had called to cancel that hour before making it to Charlotte but was told I may still be charged for the room even tho at this point it was outta my control. It would be great if the airline took care of giving you shelter when you are stuck in limbo with no reason behind while you are stuck. American is a good airline but they seriously dropped the ball this trip."

They wouldn't let me board, claiming that my camera bag was a third item that I couldn't have. They then tried to force me to check the suitcase which i explained that I did not want to do, before giving me the chance to place the camera bag in the suitcase (which it fit just fine). They were not understanding or friendly and really made me question my decision of flying with American Airlines."

Then I arrive to my destination and I have no luggage. I was able to make my connecting flight but somehow my luggage was not. So I got to Denver and waited at the gate until someone told me, “oh no that’s gonna be down in baggage claim” Needless to say, I’m scared to death and I don’t even know where $6000 worth of instruments of mine, is right now. Just horrendous all around."

Missed our entire Easter celebration because spirit was unable to man a plane Will never fly this airline again. Customer service was rude on top of it. They need to be prepared for crew to call out on a holiday. 5 1/2 hour delay with no weather emergency is unacceptable. A 50 dollar voucher does not make up for ruining a family hokiday"
Cons: "we were given multiple notices, late---on time---late---finally when told the flight was on time, we went to the airport, only to wait 5 hours. spirit was not honest with us, and they did not compensate us t all, not even with a soft drink once on board"

Cons: "Spirit was so incredibly disorganized that we almost missed our flight. The line for bag drop was the same to talk to an agent. It was out the door and down the street! No one could give us any information - they just said to join the back of the line. This is a pitiful excuse for an airline with disorganized lines and no communication. Plus the desk person was so Rude and charged an arm and a leg for us going over the weight restriction. She was hateful, and wouldn’t even cut us the slightest break after we waited 2 hours. Never flying this horrible airine again. You end up being more expensive than the more expensive airlines! What a waste."

Cons: "Turbulence was awful for much of the flight, and although that can't always be avoided, reassurance from the pilot or flight attendants would have been much appreciated. Flight attendants carried on conversations loudly and were rude to travelers who wanted to move to empty seats."

Cons: "Flight was delayed 40 minutes on the way to our destination and over an hour on the way back. Seats did not recline at all and are small. I waited for finding the least expensive flight and found that every bag whether carry on or checked bag has a cost. It costs to print out your boarding pass from the airport. Once your boarding pass is purchased you then have to pay for a seat on the flight. If you want a snack there is a fee attached. So much for a less expensive flight. It would have cost less to go through an airline that combines everything and they would have had some entertainment for a 3 hour and 40 minute flight."
Cons: "Beware! This airline charges $55 for a CARRY-ON, each way. That essentially means that the ticket price is $110 more expensive than what is cited at purchase. Also, the check-in process was terrible."

Pros: "I knew what to expect as far as luggage pricing and snacks. I boarded close to last and there was enough room for my personal item in the overhead compartment. I spoke to the flight attendant about moving to another seat if it wasn't occupied. She was pleasant and arranged for me to move before take off."
Cons: "The only thing I didn't like was my seat didn't recline. Also, a group of about 20 spent the better part in the aisles moving from seat to seat, row to row. The flight attendant said something to them but they never really dispersed. The flight attendant then sat in her seat and read a book while the passengers continued to congregate in the exit row."

I understand the airfare rates are low but they make it up in luggage fees. My checked in bag was overweight and I was charged another $55.00 on top of the $50.00 fee. I will never fly with Spirit because of this."
Cons: "The employees were terrible, inflexible, uncouteous, and fake! I'm both Baltimore and Fort Lauderdale! It was my wife and mine birthday and it was the worst flight experience of my life. We will never fly with Spirit again. Maybe you guys want youre employees to have these characteristics, but if you dont, you should really review the employees and practices of your company. We were charged an additional 100 for a bag...on my birthday!!! Thx guys for being so bad that we can actuallybappreciate good airlines."

Cons: "Arrived at the airport three hours early and still only just made the flight. When we arrived the lines were out of the door and we had to stand outside with no shade in 90 degree heat for half an hour until the line finally led us inside. We flew with Spirit two years ago to Mexico and experienced exactly the same issues. We thought this might have been a one off and so gave them another try this year. Never again. There are never enough agents at the desk and $50.00 per bag is ridiculous. For three of us, $300.00, OUTRAGOUS! I looked for lines at other airline desks and there were none. Don't be pulled in by the prospect of a cheaper flight. By the time you have taken into consideration all the extra charges for luggage, checking in online and selecting your seats, one of the most expensive carriers in the airline business. Seats don't recline and no padding!"
Cons: "Flight was delayed for multiple hours numerous time before it was CANCELLED and we were told there wasn't another flight for 2 DAYS. I knew it was a horrible airline when I booked, but didn't think it would be this bad. This isn't a rare thing on this airline either."
Pros: "The flight was delayed for 3 hours, with no explanation of any kind. When we landed in Atlanta at 2:30 in the morning, the trains were out of service and we all had to walk from the last gate in the last concourse to baggage claim. We did receive a $50 voucher for future travel for the inconvenience. But I don't think I'll be flying Spirit again."
Pros: "Crew and Flight Attendants were spot on. Flight was smooth and uneventful after leaving the gate. There is no (complementary) food nor entertainment on this flight, however, there isn't an option not to rate it."
