Ever notice there’s no handicap seating on an airplane? There are special seats and areas on a bus for example. Why don’t planes give the same attention to people who need it?
Crew were very friendly , so much better than the United crew
Smaller plane less roomy. Snack options limited. I understand it may be due to was a short flight. Gates for connecting flight was a hike.
Don’t give me a chair that can’t lean back. I got one in both legs of my flight. And I know I did not select those seats.

The lady was very rude and didn't know proper manners."

As an example, if you have a "Zone 2" boarding pass, you think you will be second to board when in reality that means you are second to last to board. After those who need extra time, those with small children, active military, premier, whatever.... all that covers about 2/3 of the passengers. Then of course there's all the stepping over those who already boarded which seems to slow the process overall. It would be better to ask these questions when making your reservation. Then, the zones would be appropriate based on how you made your reservation to begin with."

Cons: "Earlier in the day when I was checking in, there was a prompt to be added to the list of volunteers to take a different flight should one of my later flights (it did not specify, I flew from DAY to ATL, and then ATL to ORF) was overbooked. My schedule was accommodating enough that I selected yes. In ATL I was called up as a potential volunteer as they needed 3 volunteers to take a later flight that day. I was told that I was not initially assigned a seat since I had earlier agreed to be a potential volunteer. I was okay with all of this. We were told that the decision would be made at the end of boarding, and we would know if our seats were needed. At the end of boarding they called for the 3 volunteers to board. I was the last one to board and was given my seat assignment. Once I got on the plane I saw that someone had already been assigned my seat and let a flight attendant know what had happened. I stood on the plane for about 10 minutes while the flight attendants and other crew members tried to figure out what had happened. My name was not listed under any cabin (main, comfort, etc) even though I had a ticket and a seat assignment. Eventually they had to open the doors again for me to get off the plan as there were no available seats. Once I got back to the gate podium I was booked on a later flight, as would have been the case had the normal course of action for volunteering to give up my seat taken place. Everyone was extremely helpful in trying to figure out what had happened, but it was still frustrating that it had to happen in that way. Luckily I don't believe the delay caused any major delay for the flight. In the end, things worked out fine, it just seems as though this is an issue that didn't need to happen."

Florida was in a state of emergency and we needed to change are flight due to a hurricane because of the good chance the airport could close. No food or drinks were provided , the flight was turbulent and it was a long way from the normal terminals. You have to travel by shuttle to get to the F terminal and there is only one boarding point. Passengers need to know this when booking.

The two flight attendants in this flight were quite good, Lindsey and Mike. They did a great job being proactive and engaged appropriately.

What should have been 9 hours of total travel time (including driving to and from airport, security checks, customs, etc.) turned into 20 hours, resulting in a lost 1st day of our trip."

Pros: "In these past six months my family and I have been back and forth on the same route and in four occations this flight as been delayed. My 70 year old aunt lost her other flight in Houston and had to wait 12 more hours overnight wihtout food because all the restaurants were already closed. In our case were a party of five and with 1hr 40min connection. We had to run to the other side of the airport to the international gates not knowing if we lost the flight because when we arrived to Houston the second flight was already boarding. Luckly the flight attendants let us out first before the other passengers and barely made it."

Crew un able to do any of their duties! Very Unpleasant. Not sure I will fly United again!"

Cons: "When i got to Houston, the monitors were down, getting help from United was not easy, was passed off to many people and finally directed to the ticket counter. This was my first time in Houston and the gates were a bit confusing. I was in B area of airport for my tiny plane. I was told where to go with the wave of her hand and she did not want to be bothered more...got to the gated area and the agents there were way too busy chatting to be bothered. On my return trip home was better because i now knew the layout. I am sure my next trip will be improved."

Cons: "Flight was delayed a total of 3.5 hours with each delay being posted as 30 minutes. Very little information provided by the gate employees. On this trip we flew a total of 4 legs (with 5 boarding opportunities due to one leg being rescheduled to the next day as a result of delays) and had "mechnical delays" on 4 of the 5 boarding opportunities. We won't be flying United again."

Cons: "The lady at desk to board the flight made me check my carry on. I had assumed it was because the plane was full, but when I got on the plane there were more than adequate spots to stow more bags. There was a compartment across from my seat that remained open the entire flight. While I completely understand the need to check extra luggage when the plane is full, I was very upset when I saw it was not. I intentionally fly with a carry on for the convenience, and to be inconvenienced for absolutely no reason made me not want to fly with this company again for fear it could happen again in the future."

They sure had drinks and dinner even though we didn't. Also should have cancelled or delayed the flight rather than make us wait forever on the plane waiting for a new route to miss weather at our destination."

There were three different delays and some of the staff didn't know any more than we did.
This airline attracts a different type of person and the crew are not much better. I have never flown it before and I now understand why they have so many in flight issues.

Then I was told the time on the ticket was the time the plane would be in the air, not the time of take off -- how in the world are we supposed to figure out the take off time from that?!"

The boarding process from the San Jose del Cabo airport was a JOKE - complete charlie foxtrot. There were so many announcements on the loudspeaker that no one knew what was going on and the whole "boarding zones" concept flew out the window and everybody rushed to the line all at once. Never flying Spirit again if I can help it."

The barcode wasn't on my email when I checked in so I had to check in again and print my boarding pass immediately from the website which is also not optimized for mobile. The flight was delayed 4.5 hours and we had to board two times at two different gates because there was an issue with the first plane. For all our trouble, we were compensated with a complementary cup of water and a small wafer cookie. Not even a free drink to boost morale on the flight. Very disappointed with 98% of my experience with Spirit and will try to never fly with them again."

Ones we end up getting to Chicago the connection flight was delayed in 2.5 hours. Only after waiting anorher 2.5 hours they told us that our flight was cancelled. Beaides everything rhe service was awful. We went and talk to a manager who was also very rude and unprofessional. We asked for a refund and we will book anorher flight with another company.because ill never fly spirit ever again!!! The manager offer us $120 refund for both of us while our flights cost $480 plus $100 for bagages which they didnt want to give us a refund for that.we had to leave and talked to our bank for froud by spirit airlines. Save yourself and never book with spirit again !!!!!"

My flight was cancelled after being delayed after 10 mins. This is was about my 10th time flying the airlines, I was trying to give them a chance, and every time have had serious problems. I work customer service and understand how annoying these message are and realize there will probably be nothing done about how I feel and the poor service I received, but really this was a horrible experience. Lucky I am savy at finding new flights. I stood in line to change mine while on the phone with spirit and lucky cancelled the flight with spirit. I had to rebook with a different airlines. The difference between the flight was $240. My husband rebooked it for me while I was on the phone with spirit. Never again will I fly this airlines, no matter what I do!"

Several passengers heard the crew say that the company was aware of problems the night before. Too cheap to hire outside contractors to start the job sooner. I never fly them again."

Having people pay for a boarding pass is utterly ridiculous. The website is terrible. The system would not allow me to pay the $80 for my 2 bags when I logged on from home. When I got to the airport, I was charged $100 for my 2 bags. The staff was not very friendly. You could tell they were used to people complaining. They were indifferent to any complaints. For all the aggravation and additional fees, I really wish I had paid the extra to be on a different airline. It would have been cheaper and less aggravating."
