Good evening, I’m not sure under which category our complaints should fall on your website so I will include them here. To summarize our complaint, we booked our tickets on Icelandair through Kayak (and Webjet) and upon arriving at the check-in counter on December 2, we were informed that the baggage fee for our flight would be $95 each! Understandably, we were shocked and very displeased. Nowhere in our confirmation emails or flight details was there anything about having to pay such a high rate for our luggage. The first employee we spoke to said that your airline has recently started charging such fees to compete with WOW Air and as I said to him, I would like to point out again that this is the very reason why I never choose to fly with WOW Air: they clearly state that there is a high baggage fee from the beginning of the registration process and I know of too many other airlines who don’t have such inflated fees. This ticketing agent and the manager said that the level of our ticket (apparently called Economy Light) indicated that we would be charged this baggage rate. It is now my understanding that on the Icelandair’s website, these levels are described but no such options were listed or explained on the Kayak website or any of our confirmation materials/emails. It is the responsibility of your site to post these important details in a conspicuous place so that travelers can make informed decisions. We could’ve flown with Air Portugal for a mere $50 more and saved not only over $200 each but also the inconvenience and frustration. Upon the check-in manager’s suggestion, I looked up our flight by the booking reservation number (LCWNEG) and again, the only “flight type” shown was called Economy, nothing more. The same is true for when we checked in online and reserved our seats - there was never an indication of the fees that were awaiting us. All this to say, we were incredibly upset to be surprised with an additional cost of $200/person (round trip ticket) but then, to add insult to injury, not only did we nearly miss our flight due to the length of time spent at the check-in desk, once we got on the plane and we realized we would not be served anything other than water or soda - since all food/meals must also be paid for in most Economy levels. This was our first experience with your airline/website and I highly doubt we will ever choose you in the future. I know now for a fact that other passengers who have booked through 3rd party sites have found themselves in similar bad situations. If you choose to work with airlines and offer lower rates, it is only honest and fair to make your policies clearly known to your potential customers. We felt mislead and deceived as these rates seemed hidden until it as too late. My United connecting flight was delayed. I rushed to arrive at the gate prior to the departure time to be told the plane had left early and I had been rescheduled to the next morning at 7am. However, there were no vouchers available for me to stay in a hotel or get food. So, I was able to get a flight on American that got me home the same night. By the way, the American flight was delaying takeoff to wait for passengers who had been delayed on their connecting flights.

The flight was over 4 hours delayed, and I didn't receive a notification that it was delayed until an hour after the flight was supposed to take off, which would have been ideal given that I had to pay 5x surge pricing for my uber to get there by the original scheduled time. Once we were about to board the plane, we were told again that it was further delayed. The crew was cranky and tired as they had clearly been dealing with delay issues the whole day. There were no tv's on the flight and we were told there would be free wifi to stream to our phones, however the wifi was so slow that it couldn't even load a single picture from the internet. Oh, there were also no decent food options on the flight. I will avoid United at all costs in the future, as my flight down was also over 3 hours delayed.

Delay after delay. Took way too long for de-icing. The storage compartmemt door got stuck and I could not get my bag out. The flight attendant blamed the issue on my bag. She claimed it was too big. It was not. I have carried the bag on several flights with similar planes, the gate agent slowed it on the plane as many have, and I had no issue opening and closing other compartment as I tried a couple after maintenance retrieved my bag.

Flight crew was pleasant and attentive. Seats were comfortable for economy as well. We were allowed to check in extra baggage for free at check in which really helped since we would be catching a connecting flight in Amsterdam

Flight way delayed 3 hours. Staff gave no information and wouldn't help rebook us onto other flights. They gave us food vouchers 2 minutes before we finally boarded, so we couldn't use them. The food on the plane had spoiled so we were all starving on the flight, and we all missed our connections. Horrible experience and wouldn't fly with KLM again.

Awesome and helpful crew

Reservation was deleted so check in took a very long time and my seat (reserved weeks in advance) on the long international flight was reassigned to a very undesirable location. Food was not good, and drink service was only done twice on 17 hour flight. It took an hour to start taxiing after we were all seated and left the gate.

I did not like having to exit plane on the tarmac. It was difficult for my 87 year old mother, and the if the weather had been bad this would have been very unpleasant and extremely difficult for everyone!

My United connecting flight was delayed. I rushed to arrive at the gate prior to the departure time to be told the plane had left early and I had been rescheduled to the next morning at 7am. However, there were no vouchers available for me to stay in a hotel or get food. So, I was able to get a flight on American that got me home the same night.
