Scores according to KAYAK customer reviews
Pros: "On time,comfortable"
Pros: "The fact we were able to upgrade to exit row easily."
Cons: "Only one free snack a cookie. Come on let’s splurge a bit we just paid over $300.00 for a flight add how many other seats you sold, two crackers really"
Cons: "No online seat assignment ... had to switch seats with other people on the plane."
Pros: "Excellent service. I just saw a flight attendant carrying a toddler so he could be calmed while the mom settled. That was sweet!"
Pros: "Your airline gave us drinks and NO snacks on a almost 5 hour flight. The food I had to purchase was horrible."
Cons: "No peanuts, pretzels or biscuit cookies. Horrible experience with the food I purchased. Won’t fly Alaska again. 30 of us flew and were not impressed."
Pros: "I missed the flight and they got me rescheduled and on my way when I showed up at service desk just before cabin closure"
Pros: "Comfort seats"
Cons: "Not a quiet ride, sucks that I have to watch a movie on my phone. Come on"
Pros: "I had additional legroom for some reason, and 2 windows. We didn't die."
Cons: "No in flight wifi, no one asked me if I wanted to order food, the flight was really bumpy. Took forever to board."
Pros: "I'm used to being spoiled by Hawaiian Airlines. By comparison to Alaska Airlines, Hawaiian is a lot warmer with customer service, they are more efficient, they give you a free meal for trans-pacific flights, and they give you a screen or full entertainment system (depending on what kind of airplane you get). Alaska Airlines, by contrast, is a lot more bare-bones. I hardly had any contact with the flight attendants (when I did, they were nice enough I suppose), there was no food on the flight unless you paid a good penny for it, the seats were pretty average, and there was nothing really to watch (not even a common screen for movies, and this was a trans-pacific flight). You had to order their entertainment iPads. So I pretty much slept. That said, both Alaska and Hawaiian have good prices. Alaska had better options for departure and arrival times."
Cons: "The bare bones aspect (see other side)."
Pros: "Alaskan airlines- the care, the ease of getting everything checked in ahead of time, traveling wit the best friend; we both get spookebafbbmbutbiblovenuseb"

Pros: "Ease and great service"
Cons: "No good available very No entertainment"
Pros: "Early departure and very early arrival"
Cons: "Sits did not recline at all on 5 hour flight. 5 hour flight with one 1 by 2 inch cookie. Glad I had my own food!"

Cons: "We left 4 hours later than expected. Didn't get home until the wee hours."
Cons: "Same as above"
Pros: "That the flight was right on time with no delays."
Cons: "The change of gate for departure."
Cons: "The flight was overbooked. We changed gates at the last minute and we weren't confirmed until after other passengers had boarded. Flight was delayed an hour because of this."
Pros: "Wonderfully attentive staff with Alaskan that made my trip very enjoyable."
Pros: "The flight offered was a direct flight. They offer preboarding for families with children under 2."
Cons: "The seats on this flight are so close together your shoulders literally touch your neighbors shoulders while sitting normally in your seat. This is unacceptable. When will airlines finally get it? People deserve to sit in their own seat without being on top of their neighbor."
Pros: "I liked the friendly customer service on the planes, comfortable and have heard great things about their points/rewards system for frequent flyers."
Cons: "Boarding process is not as well-defined and caused a pretty difficult crowding situation when leaving Seattle for Oakland. Giving more specific sections of seats to board at a time could help."
Pros: "POG was available from the beverage cart. On-time departure and arrival."
Cons: "We were assigned two middle seats in different rows for a five hour flight! Flight attendants were rude. The bathrooms were a mess. Complimentary food for a five hour flight is a bag with nine, dime-sized pretzels."
Pros: "Ticket agent kindly arranged for us to sit together - after we had been assigned seats apart from one another."
Cons: "Boarding was delayed, disorganized and chaotic. Flight crew seemed to be overwhelmed and scattered. Ran out of hot meal about halfway through aircraft. When I expressed my disappointment, the F.A. said that there were a lot of wrestlers on board and they got all the food. I commented that it was poor planning and the FA stated that he didn't think anything would please me. He was argumentative and rude, IMO. He could have handled it better, eg: "So sorry. Out of our control, etc." To say that the food went to the wrestlers, and attitude gave me and those around me, the impression that he really didn't give a damn. Customer service training would be a good idea."
Pros: "my inflight meal was wonderful, the staff were friendly and very attentive and I was sitting in the last row. flight was delayed many hours due to mechanical issues on the plane and saftey came first."
Cons: "since the seat doesn't recline in the last row, more padding in the headrest would be nice"
Pros: "We were lucky and had a seat open between us. Comfortable, and crew were great."
Pros: "I was pleased that the crew was helping to get everyone on board and settled quickly. The plane was on time which everyone appreciates."
Cons: "Alaska does not allow people on flights booked through third parties (priceline in this case) to choose your seating, you take what you get or, as in our case - have it fixed at the gate (which they did)."
Cons: "Everything"
Pros: "Boarding aircraft from back to forward. Speeds the boarding process."
Pros: "Crew members services were great."
Cons: "Seats are small size, old and some are ripped. Lavatory had no handwash. Most of all, the plane was very shaky/vibrates a lot. Landing wasn't that smooth."
Pros: "To be able to upgrade, charging stations at my seat, generous beverages"
Cons: "No free baggage, unclear coomunication about check in and choosing seats, was not offered my free drink."
Pros: "I booked my flight within 48 hours of travel and received a fare that I would expect normally with months of planning ahead."
Cons: "The turbulence but obviously a much smaller plane will get whipped around a lot more."
Pros: "I like the hospitality from the crew members and how smooth my travel experience was."
Cons: "No complaints"
Pros: "Great service. Always checked up on every guest on the plane if they needed anything."
Cons: "TSA was unprofessional, slow, and as usual pointless."
Pros: "The staff"
Cons: "Seats are like hard plastic cop car chairs. Stale pretzel and drinks that were so shaken up when I opened it it sprayed me and the lady next to me. Long boarding times and again....my back is gonna be messed up for a while from the seats"
Pros: "crew did there best to help with passenger on board that needed medical attention they handled the situation luckily a passenger was a nurse and was able to help them"
Cons: "they need to prepare more for emergency situations alaska airlines need to provide bigger jets for flights longer than three hours"
Pros: "I liked how there was a bigger selection of free entertainment on the flight through the wifi stream. Some airlines don't have any free entertainment. Also the staff was helpful with bag check in."
Cons: "There were a couple of children who were crying and screaming almost the whole time, but that isn't the airlines fault and I realize that. Other than that, the flight was good."
Pros: "Friendly flight crew, and blocked the middle seat for our infant."
Cons: "Incredibly unhelpful unapologetic and generally sullen ground crew both coming and going even AFTER our infant car seat was lost for 4 days. No apology when we checked and and asked for reimbursement and actually rolled her eyes when we asked her to double check the destination."
Pros: "Friendly staff"
Cons: "Needs more amenities, free in flight movies perhaps, a better smack"
Cons: "Not the fault of the crew, but someone's coffee mug leaked all over the overhead storage compartment and dripped on top of all the passengers sitting underneath it. Other than that, it was a pretty smooth and short flight."
Pros: "The Alaska airlines people are very pleasant and helpful, I always fly Alaska when I travel to Hawaii. They seem to get there earlier than scheduled , I like that!"
Pros: "The flight attendants were great , so kind and helped us pick out snacks/drinks."
Cons: "How rude the people were around us. I felt really bad for the flight attendants and clean up crew :( . no one on that flight seemed to listen to the illuminated signs except for flight attendants and my row ."
