Pros: "I like flying with Delta, it's just I was not feeling well and our flight got delayed and delayed and delayed. We finally made it on and the extra comfort was great"

Cons: "Seats front to back is WAY too short in economy. Person in front of me put their seat back putting my movie screen 2in in front of my face. Plus, when a meal arrived, I had to put my elbows into my neighbors seat to cut because I couldn't put them front to back. Crew seemed uncaring."

Didn't get the seats my wife and originally booked with China Southern/Delta, but the substitution was quite adequate! Problems with checking in on flights, as neither airline seemed to be able to deal with this split ticket! But they tried very hard to make thing up to us, which goes a long way to making us feel like we are valued customers!"

Cons: "Due to the earthquakes, the film festival I was going to was cancelled. Ten days prior to the flight I called AeroMexico to cancel and they said there would be a cancellation penalty, which was fine. When I tried to redeem my credit, they said there was also an additional "No-show fee" even though I called to cancel 10 days prior, which left a total of $70 credit after all their penalties. I called and emailed to complain but they did nothing but pass me to someone else who was equally unhelpful. I will never fly AeroMexico for any reason in the future."

Pros: "There wasn't much to like. Just about everything was wrong. The plane was a newish 787, so it didn't feel old. Boarding went well because we complained about how tired we, at 70+, were because the flight was late and we'd been standing up; this resulted in us being boarded with some of the latish priority passengers."

The meals were mediocre and the cabin staff were just barely the good side of unhelpful, officious and unfriendly The flight was inexplicably 2 hours or more late in excellent weather. No apologies given, the flight that was originally scheduled for 8 pm left close to 11 pm. While boarding the only light is a purplish ambient lighting that made it impossible to read anything, including the safety material, until the inflight entertainment was loaded up (the lights are only controlled through software-actuated virtual buttons on the screen). The inflight entertainment system is hard to use, too, designed by idiots for use by geniuses. But the very worst thing was the stress caused by Virgin Atlantic in just about guaranteeing that we would miss this flight. On our outbound voyage in January, VA, for reasons nobody knows, booked an ADDITIONAL leg from JHB to CPT on BA at 12:30 pm, even though we were already ON the earlier 9:30 BA flight we'd booked and paid for. Then, when we didn't show up for this spurious flight (because we were already in the air) we didn't book (BA swears they have evidence that VA made this booking), our return flight CPT to JBG three months later was cancelled WITHOUT OUR KNOWLEDGE. If I hadn't been interested in knowing, the day before the flight, if the return BA flight had a meal, I would have showed up at the CPT airport in April and discovered that I had no way to get to the VA flight in JHB! As it was I spent an entire day trying to get back on the flight I'd already paid for. I advise EVERYONE who uses VA to reconfirm flights over and over. There is still no explanation for this. I will never NEVER fly VA again. They are not to be trusted."

Pros: "Delta has failed in trying to break into the Aspen market. Their "personal ground crew" was hapless. Half the passenger bags didn't make it on to the plane. When we checked in the ticketing agent was randomly stacking bags in a heap behind her, and not putting them on the conveyor belt. The flight attendant was loud and screechy, saying that it was easier to leave off the bags than take people off the plane. What?? How was this not accounted for before the flight. On the way out, they forgot to build in time to de-ice the plane. SMH"

Cons: "The attendants on this flight were gossiping right behind us and we heard them talk about ignoring calls from people during our wait on the tarmac at LAX. Again we were in the last seats in the plane and this time it was stinky."

Flight was cancelled and the only reschedule time they could manage was the next day at 830pm. No advanced warning or viable options to choose from. Absolutely horrible experience spending 12 hours in an airport trying to get home.

Our terminal changed but the person at the check-in counter didn't tell us and accepted our bags. Our bags ended up not making it on the flight, so we had to go back to the airport 3 hours after our arrival which took almost 2 hours of our time and $80 for Lyft.

The AA employees at George Bush were phenomenal. They were helpful, kind, and efficient. The airport was packed and they and the TSA moved us through the lines quickly and efficiently. Both of my flights were on time!

Delayed over 6 hours for a mechanical issue. They had to fly mechanics in to fix the problem because there are none in Aspen. I feel like we should all get half off when this happens. Ridiculous.

I spent more money to like where I was sitting. I’m so disgruntled at all of the airlines and their “efficient” cramming and packing in as many passengers as possible. I’m continuously panicked now due to claustrophobic feelings in planes. Trying to go to the bathroom and literally touching the walls as I try to move about is so disgusting. Bumping every single elbow and shoulder as I was down an aisle is so awful too. And I’m not a large person. Anyway. Clearly my complaint will change nothing so I’m not sure why I’m even writing this.

All this was explained to the airline in Rome the baggage handlers etc. etc. still nothing. Absolutely amazing and disappointing!"

Cons: "When we arrived at the Aspen airport, American Airlines was having a complete breakdown checking-in passengers for our flight. Some waited 2.5 hours to check a bag -- at an airport with very few flights and small planes. Clearly there was no management onsite – or that management was completely inept. AA agents on the ground simply did not prioritize passengers trying to make flights, nor did they ask flyers without urgent issues if they could step aside. Even worse, they spent 1.5 hours helping one customer – when that customer simply could have gone online or called reservations to get the appropriate assistance. Honestly, I personally stepped in to do what your personnel should have been trained to do: show empathy to calm passengers, ask one irate man to have some sympathy for those behind him in line, and finally, prioritize the people trying to check bags for the 2pm flight ahead of others. AA personnel only engaged the irate customer and threatened to call security when he pulled out his camera phone – it simply inflamed an already bad situation."

I went early to the airport to sort out the issue and the reps lied to me and then sent me to a different airline counter even though I booked through BA and was having an issue with the second leg of the flight which was indeed operated by BA. My issue wasn’t resolved until I spoke to a manager."

Spent almost an hour with agent to get two bags checked for free. Iberia flight operated by American allowed two free bags. Agent took awhile to discover this was correct then she got locked out system. There was no regard that we had a flight to catch. No individual TV's."

It did board and leave on time but not an hour early. This flight was night and day different than our ORD to Dublin flight of 5.12.17 which was 5 hours delayed and do stressful."

Cons: "Attitude of many employees--" tough on you, suck it up. stuff happens". poor communication re flight change, rejection of AA Advantage Mastercard to pay for baggage check and get boarding pass and seat assignment. Rerouted me by 200 yards to TSA checkpoint I could see was 30 yards away. When flight arrived in SFO the arrivals board never showed it and there was no carousel shown for checked baggage. I finally had to go to customer service, where attendant just pointed to my bag on the floor with lots of others from the flight, shrugged, no apology, and chewed her gum a little faster before turning her back."
Cons: "American canceled my original itinerary on direct flight to Los Angeles and put me on a flight to Dallas, Dallas to LA, and charged me for the change. After 8 hour delay at airport (boarding plane, on the runway) they turned us around and flight was delayed to the next day. I luckily got a direct on United and will avoid American at all costs."
