Customer service agent, Theresa, at the United gate was more interested in checking her cell phone text messages & handing out $10 food vouchers than the long of people who have conflicts with connecting flights or missing events in the destination they were flying to. Every minute lost could prevent customers from obtaining another immediate or comparable flight to their destination. Customer service agent sent those who were going to have problems with their connecting flights to the United Airlines service desk, of which, there were no customer service agents at any of the four available stations. I waited 10 minutes for an agent & no one arrived. When I went back to the original line I was standing in, I was forced to go to the back of the line rather than the place I was originally standing. Therefore I waited in line an additional 20-30 minutes. Once I was served they did not have any more seats available on direct flights to Melbourne. They wanted me to fly to NY, then Sydney & then Melbourne. Additionally the customer service agent did not seem confident this flight was not going to have any hiccups. Worst of all, I had been planning this trip for months & it was ruined by United Airlines."

We (8) family members came and this includes an elderly person (my mother who has been fighting cancer for about 2 years, along with diabetes) came to see her grandaughter get married. Now they were rushing her as well? Uncalled for. Now my other brother and his family which was a party of 10 on another flight, also flew to Hawaii. Now that alone tells you how much money was spent. The stay in Hawaii was amazing! We would visit again but the way we were treated on this airline, I don't think we would fly again and choose this airline. To be honest, not even recommend it. I'm ashamed to let others know such as friends and co workers know of this airline's service. To top it off one flight attendant was very rude! She saw us when she handed the other passengers pretzels and skipped my mother, my sister and I. I asked her nicely if we may have some and told her she had skipped us. She said, "I did?" Came back with 6 bags of thenm and was like, "Here!" Like shoving them to me. I felt humiliated! I didn't say anything because I didn't want to embarrass her. But it was extremely rude!!! I read some reviews and I guess it's normal on your end to be the way you treat your customers. We even asked before abording from Hawaii to L.A, what can you do to make up for all this and we were told, "nothing could". So ashamed."
Pros: "Great crew, very efficient boarding"
Cons: "Not much that could be helped. Short flight, very turbulent on takeoff and landing. Getting stuck in front of a kid who kept dropping her tray table open and slamming it shut wasn't fun, but I know United isn't responsible for someone else's sucky parenting. And when did the leg room shrink???"
Pros: "Gate personnel were great."
Pros: "I liked the new movies. Lots of movie selections. Friendly flight crew."
Cons: "Flight was a little bumpy at times, and flight was also delayed 1 hr."
Pros: "The seats were mostly comfortable (although extremely cramped), pillows and blankets were provided. I liked the one free thing offered; ability to follow the planes progress on my iPhone."
Cons: "All of the screens on the side of the cabin I sat in did not work so even if we chose to pay the ridiculous fees for content it wasn't an option. Charging $16 for internet is gouging to the extreme. Truthfully, I would choose to pay a little more for my ticket if I knew that United did not cram people in like sardines, provided good quality free internet, provided free video content (on consoles that worked), and provided a small snack (better than a little wafer)."
Cons: "When i came back to my country everything was ok until i got my credit details and i saw that your receptionist stole money from my card. I should have pay for an exstra suitcase 60 dollars so i gave the receptionist my credit card. Yesterday I got my credit details i saw an extra charge of 400 hundred dollars !!! I am so mad and im waiting for you to cancel it and recompense. I hope it will be soon before i involve a layer and require you. My phone number is +97224518838."

Pros: "We were boarded and sat on the ground for 3 hrs. while they "downloaded the entertainment". Then we were deboarded so a new flight crew could be brought on board. Arrived at 2:30am instead of the 9:30pm original time."
Pros: "Free movies were a plus. Very comfortable. Came with pillow and a blanket."
Cons: "Got stuck for 30 mins trying to get ice off the wings but no fault of United."
Cons: "Delays, delays, and more delays....rude gate crew forcing economy passengers to check bags when there was still TONS of space in overhead bins for a not even full flight. Added extra hour to an already majorly delayed flight day to wait for a bag that could have easily been stowed overhead. Service was lacking. Plane was new but no real in-flight entertainment for a long flight. Uncomfortable flight all around. Will do everything I can to avoid United from now on. 14 hour travel day that should have been half the time! Haven't had such a bad experience in years."
Pros: "Getting off the plane, away from the airline, and their disregard of customer service."
Cons: "My flight being canceled after a three hour delay, waiting in the customer service line until four in the morning, sleeping in the airport, and having my luggage lost for nearly a week. I will never fly United again."
