When I checkin from Sydney to los angles, the Fiji manager said you have to pay for stroller. I said I came all the way from Los Angeles to Sydney like that and I even showed the tags too, Christopher said Sydney has different policy. I left the stroller to him and Saud to him keep it for your kids and came back home without baby stroller.

Cons: They were a minimum 45 minutes late (one 2 hour, 2 one hour) for every flight. Their running late caused us to miss our connection to Brisbane, so they sent us to Sydney. The ,late flight into Sydney cause us to miss our flight into Brisbane (our ticketed destination city). As we de-planed on the Jetway was a woman holding a sign with 12 - 114 names on it, we were one. She told us to go the the transfer desk and they would help us. We had never been in Sydney, could not find a transfer desk (there was none) found the ticketing counter - nobody there, found the airline office - nobody there, went back to the ticket counter nobody still there, asked a competing airline, they directed us to an air travel management office, where we found Fiji Air personnel. They were surprised we were not told where to go. they tracked down the office manager. We finally met with him at 1:40 PM, he told us our flight was in the domestic terminal and scheduled to leave at 2:00 PM. There was no way we could make it to the plane on time. He was rather rude to us and asked us how we thought we were getting to Brisbane, We responded with "I don't know as we've never been here before". Having never been there. we did not know there was an international and a domestic terminal at the Sydney airport. He told us who we were to fly out on and he was going to call over to the other airline and straighten it out. We went to the domestic terminal tried to check in for our flight, but we could not. That airline called Fiji Air to find out why, after half an hour they were told Fiji Air would not honor our flight as we were noted as "no Shows"/. We had to book another flight to Brisbane. The flights were great, we have had VERY BAD EXPERIENCES with the ground personnel,

Cons: We had a banana from LAX airport and intended to eat it on the 13-hour overnight flight. Unfortunately we forgot about it. The customs at Nadi found it on X-ray and slapped us with FJ$400 fine! One of the Fijian bio security officer told us that "by handing out big fines, we hope the airlines will remind passengers of biosecurity rules...". But Fijian airways failed to do that. $400 fine is a horrible start of your vacation and we will never come back to visit Fiji. We will also advise all our friends not to visit Fiji on facebook.
Cons: I was not given a meal for dinner. When I asked they sheepishly looked away from me and told me that there would be a voucher when we landed. We did not get any voucher,nor did they make an announcement that they ran out of food and would not be able to feed half of the plane. I am extremely disappointed in how this was handled, as people next to me were given first class meals and I was given one piece of cheese and one cracker. In the morning for breakfast my meal almost didn't come, I had to ask for it. And when it was given to me it was already opened and messed with.

Cons: At 12:40 p.m. we boarded American Airlines flight 1350 in ATL, just to SIT on plane for 1 1/2 hours (half the time with NO AIR). Computer problems. Had to get off plane, then had to wait in 3 lines. Agents were so UNPROFESSIONAL! Kept saying flight would go... DID NOT go until another plane came in at 9:00 PM! We, needless to say missed our connecting flight to SYDNEY and had to wait til next day and fly to SAN FRANCISCO, then to MELBOURNE, then on to Christchurch. We MISSED out on TWO DAYS of our short trip! which included missed reservations!!

Pros: I was not expecting the ample leg room and arm space. I was actually comfortable. It made such a huge difference in my day. The crew members were great and it was a pretty chill experience, which is not how I can describe any other flight in recent memory.
Cons: The entertainment was just snippets from NBC shows that I’m not interested in. It was the same presentation on both legs of my trip, so even if I had been interested initially, I would have gotten bored the second time around.
Pros: How fast they had us in the air (5 min early).
Cons: In their rush to leave, they didn't communicate with the on board crew about overhead bins and I was forced to check a priceless item that I purposely wanted with me in the cabin. The overheads were empty above my own seat. I wasn't allowed to go back and reclaim my bag because they had already taken it. And they were completely indifferent to my situation, which isn't surprising given they didn't understand the value of my item. Thus, I had a full blown panic attack for my entire 2 hour flight, my medicine being one of the items also in my now checked bag. It was too late, my bag was taken and thrown under the plane by the time it struck. And the flight attendants also had on perfume that brought on a tension headache due to my sensitivity to scents. Considering they work in a recycled air tube, this seems like a vast oversight on their part and should consider that not everyone can handle even the faintest of perfumes. It may not seem like a big deal to them, because mental illness is still seen as a made up thing, but it was enough of a trigger that I will not fly American Airlines again.

Cons: An extremely rude woman told me there was no space to place my bag in the overhead compartment and forced me to step aside and check my backpack. I didn't have a purse or any other item, just a backpack. I told them I had medication and they told me to just put it in my pockets. So I stashed my medicine in my pockets and had no room for my personal items or valuables. I had a hiking backpack with a water bottle in the side, and since they forced me to check the bag, my water bottle flew out of the pocket while it was being loaded onto the plane. Fortunately they at least tracked me down and brought my stainless steel water bottle to my seat. However, it wouldn't fit in the pocket in front of me and I had no other bag to store it in so I had to hold it and a few other belongings in my lap for the entire flight. I also had some other fragile items in my backpack that may or may not be okay. Also, when I boarded the plane, there was still space...there was no need to be so rude and force me to check a bag being used not only as my suitcase but as my purse as well. I'm so displeased with American, their staff, and their overall disorganization. How ridiculous.

Pros: The gate agents did a good job of making sure the boarding process was organized, despite confusion with two Chicago-bound flights departing from the same gate in a short window. Delay was communicated far enough in advance that I didn't travel to the airport until it was necessary.
Cons: The flight was delayed 3 hours due to the incoming aircraft, but nobody at the gate or onboard offered any explanation or even acknowledged the delay. The aircraft did not handle turbulence well at all... one of roughest flights in recent memory despite avoiding weather. Wifi had weak signal (on a 70-person jet!) and the streaming entertainment did not work the entire time... it either did not load or I got an error message.
Pros: The flight attendants were very accommodating. One of the flight attendants encouraged me to take advantage of a seat that had more space so that I was more comfortable. Also when I casually talked about how I didn't get to eat before the flight she gave me two of the cinnamon crackers that are offered during the flight. This was very thoughtful and considerate of her. It was the little things and the attendants attention to detail that provided me an excellent experience.

Cons: Prior to take off as the plane backed away from the ramp, we heard a noise for several minutes from under the plane. It sounded like something with the wheels. Kinda unnerving. Just prior to taxiing the plane stopped, the pilot announced a technical difficulty. They had to reboot one system to correct it. We heard more wheel noise. Almost like the doors over the wheels were stuck. Again kinda unnerving. Once airborne everything was smooth.
