Everything. Was great except the delay.

The flight was great. The flight crew were all gorgeous women who were very helpful. The seat situation is not as awarsome but only because I’m a 6’8” giant!

Was a quick flight less than an hour. He gave me two packs of gold fish. Which is fine but of course compared to my other flights, well no comparison, but the flight was less than an hour.

For a 14 hour trip the first meal was just after take off and the second about 2-3 hours before landing. The snack was too small of which we were made to choose : a banana, a bread and a brownie."

Cons: "The flight was delayed 24hrs which is not the fault of Korean airlines however Boarding was so disorgainsed with no information on the process, almost no priority boarding. We were told that people with boarding passes of the original flight date had to wait for more recent passes. This led many to think that they would be kicked off the flight after waiting 24hrs. Once we did finally board we found that they had made a mistake and had to deboard a passenger resulting in an extra hour delay"
Pros: "Bags were not checked through to Cebu because of the 10+ hr layover. Had to go out to arrival area to follow up on bag transfer. Korean Air wouldnt issue my boarding pass for my INC to CEB flight at LAX so I have to get in line again at the Korean Air check- in counter in INC then was told to go to Jin Air since it was operated by them. Jin Air wouldn't issue a boarding pass because my flight was at 8 AM the following day. I ended up sleeping at the predept area until the counter opened."

The flight was delayed but they switched me to the very next airline & I still arrived on time. Flight arrived at midnight when the airport is not so busy. No issues with security when transferring planes. Customs waved us through & the baggage arrived quickly."

Cons: "The main issue was getting off the plane in Sydney - we had to wait for a bus to offload us as the plane was sitting a long distance from the terminal. The bus eventually came, offloaded half the passengers and then returned 20 minutes later to start to offload the rest. It's the longest time I've ever spend disembarking from a plane and clearing an airport - very poor whoever was responsible (I'm assuming Sydney airport was at fault)."

Pros: "The crews on ANA (Flight Attendants) are the hardest working, most polite and service oriented of ANY carrier I can remember. When the cabin lights are ON, the crew is hustling to keep the passengers occupied and chewing. Free Beer, Wine and mixed drinks in Coach! Every Service - Snack, Drinks, Lunch, Dinner, Coffee/Tea, Second and Third rounds of drinks includes a cold towel to wipe your face and hands and most important, trash is collected promptly EVERY single time. WOW. I noticed that Flight Attendants take notes on sleeping passengers for every major meal service, and they take the time to revisit those customers when awake to check they might have wanted to be fed. I also noticed that the crew has special double sided tape to pickup crumbs and spills in the aisles so grime is not tracked into the carpet. Dont be surprized to see a flight attendant cruising the aisle after dinner with a soft cooler full of small vanilla Hagen Daz cups..."
Cons: "We flew from Bangkok to Washington Dulles with a connection in Tokyo. Snow in Japan caused crew shifts to max out and ultimately a dramatic change in flight departure. (Guaranteeing a missed connection) This caused multiple downstream challenges. 1. Original flight was scheduled for 00:30. (Half Past Midnight), rescheduled flight was scheduled for 12:30 (Half Past Noon) For Americans unused to a 24 hour clock, this made emails From ANA very difficult to wrap your mind around. Was it a typo? What happens when you miss your connection? (Turns out weather delays do NOT result in accommodations or meals being provided) Rescheduled flight should have been for 1231 with (AM/PM in Parentheses) 2. For passengers who spent their vacation/trip near the equator, the prospect of spending the night in snowbound Tokyo was simply not addressed in the cancellation email. The better option was to stay in your original point of origin and make the connection in one day, but email has NO telephone number for passengers to call to make these arrangements. (We ended up calling a toll California telephone number to be sure we got an English speaking agent) 3. Many SE Asian departing cities have a crazy baggage weight policy that allows for Two bags of 25 Kilos each , but if you have a single bag that weights 32 Kilos, you must pay excess baggage. Although the policy may NOT be specific to ANA, there are hundreds of folks of all nationalities repacking suitcases on the floor of the airport, to try to meet the regulations. As a traveler I understand this, but as an ANA customer it makes no sense, especially when the ticket agent cannot charge the overage to a credit card at the ticket counter. Instead sending you to a different location then waiting for you to return with a receipt. Its a huge scam and ANA can do better communicating the rules to passengers via email or their web site. Nothing starts a long trip off worse than arguments over arcane rules. 4. Changing a return flight arrangement as a result of weather happens at the last moment, but seat assignments apparently could not keep up. I would rather NOT fly than face a center seat in coach for 14 hours. I cannot explain what happened, but repeated attempts at advance check in showed NO assigned seats available, the ticket and gate agents could not improve on this, but BOTH flights ended up having empty seats and in the end we stressed for nothing. ANA must be able to do better, improving their IT systems to make advance seat assignments possible no matter how challenging the problem of "equipment" and other changes in the face of a canceled flight."

Cons: "The seat's recline button was broken which meant having to sit for 12+ hours upright. Upon hearing that the seat was broken, the airline crew offered my mother a check for 100 SGD (14% of the ticket value) to be used on Singapore airlines (for the discomfort caused for over 50% of the flight time). They changed her seat from Seoul to Singapore. When I wrote to them about it, they came back saying they had offered her a seat change from LA to Singapore, and she had declined, which is absolutely false. When I called that out, they said, maybe they did not offer aisle seats (note that the broken seat was not aisle). So it just shows that they don't want to accept that they messed up. They even told me that despite their best efforts in pre-flight checks, certain defects only surface when the flight is in progress. Will never ever travel on this airline again."

Cons: "From the moment we checked in in Singapore there was no service. Having travelled first class and Economy before with Singapore I was very disappointed with Business class. My husband and daughter were in First Class. The service was below average to say the least - more training required from check in to on board - (in Sydney the staff on the ground went above and beyond) In Singapore it was very fake and contained no sincerity. The lounge itself was also ordinary compared to others, no Amenity kits or PJs in business class - even Virgin Australia has that! I was so excited to be travelling Singapore again given past experiences but now Im not sure I will want to fly them again."

Pros: "It was a very pleasant surprise to receive an upgrade at the boarding gate to a Skycouch. While I was too tall to make use of it my wife was able to use two thirds of it and get a good sleep. The flight attendants were excellent, friendly, warm attentive presenting the very best of Kiwi hospitality."

Pros: "Air New Zealand is one of the best air experiences we've had. Employees seem to enjoy their jobs and are usually happy. Very service oriented. Ground staff and check in terrific. Why can't USA folks and TSA figure this out? Updates from flight deck were good and pilot seemed to avoid some expected turbulence. Cabin crew friendly, competent, helpful. Food was very good, nice touch with comp wine. Entertainment options were many and good variety. Hope to fly ANZ again someday."

The only down fall would be that I had to pay for movies and a meal wasn’t included with my flight, but that’s minor. Also, baggage cost me 120.AUD for one bag! I thought that was pretty outrageous for one check in bag. But the pilot was very good and informative as the overall flight was smooth. Thanks again air New Zealand."

Cons: "Missed the flight because of a very late connection. Air New Zealand and Virgin Australia kept handing me off to each other since it was booked as virgin Australia but on an air New Zealand flight. Neither wanted to help at first. Finally virgin Australia ticket agent took pity and helped me rebook for the next day. This was after I was told by air New Zealand that I had to call the booking number for virgin Australia. I’m traveling from the US and didn’t have a cell phone that worked in Australia... which I explained and asked how I could call the number without a phone. Was promptly told to go over to Virgin Australia ticket counter where I made the one remaining agent who was closing the desks help me. However the airport lost my luggage and could not find where it was. I ended up spending three hours in the airport and still no luggage with the baggage company saying they have no record of it anywhere. Very frustrating trip."

Cons: "I couldn’t tell about the food and entertainment because even after several call to Kayak trying to upgrade to a flight where food and entertainment were included because it said “no meal service” on my itinerary I was assured they were included and what do you know. They weren’t. I will never be using Kayak again. Very poor serve from people I phoned. They did no know what they were doing."

Also if the passenger is allowed to carry a laptop bag, according to her training and theory she only knows 1 shape and does not recognize a back pack which has only the laptop. I travelled several times in Qatar, but never had this kind of experience."

Pros: "Check-in was a breeze; considering this being an internationaly travel, baggage check-in process was fast and easy. Was in and out in about 5 minutes. Goodie bag was a good idea; the goodie bag contains an eye mask, mini tooth brush, paste, hand cream, etc. These all were great idea and definitely helpful. However this is ruined by the tooth paste. It was a tiny tooth paste, fair enough but the opening is sealed tight w/o a way to easily pry open. This was a total bad idea of packaging. Flight tips were also good idea and informational."

The seats were cramped and narrow (no side support) Seat cushion has been stripped down to bare minimum, so effectively you may not feel much of a cushion. Cramped legroom Seats felt like junk and I had started having leg cramps after few hours. This so disappointing for a premier airline like Qatar. Overall a very uncomfortable ride."

Cons: "Crew only helpful when pushed to help. My child was sick and the cabin crew tried to give me food. I said that my child had just vomited but there was no offer to help me clear it up they just continued serving food to other passengers. I had to search for someone to help me to clear up and then I felt as though I was an inconvenience. I then had to look for someone to bring food for myself and other child. My other child is 1yr and 11 months and I was told they were only allowed baby food not a child meal. Although there were a few spare seats on the plane I was squashed into a full row with a 3 yr old and one year old on my lap. I appreciate that there may not have been any bassinet seats left but would have been helpful not to be on a full row as a single adult travelling with two small children. No offers for assistance with bags."
