Cons: "My brother and his wife had to wait 12 hrs for plane delay,just to hear that AA canceled all flight for that date. The crew told my brother and his wife to wait for another12 hours which is the next morning, for next flight. My brother decided to just take a rental car to KZO, and was going to just take their luggage from the airline, but the AA crew would not let them did so, and was really rude. It was very traumatic experience for the both of them and other passangers of how bad they treated this plane delay/cancellation issue. One passenger with baby was having a panic attack, but nothing was done. So far, no compensation, or apology email has been sent. Will never take this airline anymore. We are done."

Cabin foods are generous, filled with variety and tasting the best among various international airlines that I have experienced between LAX and Taipei, Taiwan in the past ten years. Cons: "We were late arriving, the cabin crew although they were pleasant, didn’t do enough to allow the passengers to get off first, for the connecting flight. Malaysian airlines stayed in the runway, fixing an engine and the pilot said they were delaying the plane, driving in for passengers to disembark. After being told by cabin crew that a number of us were late for connecting flight, that they were going to wait for us, they didn’t and we were told we had missed the flight. We were kindly put on the next flight which wasn’t until five hours later. Unrealistic scheduling causes is to miss our flight and had us sitting at the airport for four hours, making it an unnecessarily long day. Not impressed."

The air New Zealand part was all great plane boarding etc, the horrible part is that we bought baggage allowances with virgin and they never transferred the information to air New Zealand. So there I am from the USA in a foreign country boarding a flight being asked to pay 500 nz dollars for a few kilos when I had already paid for it. Having to produce emails and payment information on something I had done months in advance. Overall I won’t recommend virgin next time I’d book directly with air New Zealand"

The food was quite good, and I appreciated the ability to get snacks throughout the flight. The crew was efficient, the IFE is very good, and the entire experience was very positive. Cons: "Booked through Kayak with what I thought was an equivalent Expedia ticket but was horrible surprised when I checked-in. Two other fellow travelers booked flight VA 7516 through Expedia for $218 (USD) one-way. I was able to open the same flight / departure time / price with Expedia but could not book. I then switched to Kayak and located this same flight (as I wanted to travel together with them), and it was for approximately same price. Upon check-in I was told it would cost $120 to check my luggage in (which I reluctantly paid). They indicated my ticket did not include this. I later discussed this with my two travelers and their check-in luggage plus a meal were included with their Expedia (Virgin Australia) ticket. Why was my Kayak (Virgin Australia) ticket so different from Expedia when our bookings were done about the same time? I no longer trust Kayak for future bookings."

Cons: "Even though i was booked on Air NZ, the flight was operated through Virgin Australia. This was only an issue when i tried to check in at Air NZ and was directed over to Virgin Australia. Once i found the right ticket counter to check in, i found that there was an extra baggage fee of NZ$130 that i had to pay to check my bag. Also, dinner seemed to be included for just about everyone sitting around me, and it was not included for me. I don't remember having the option of booking dinner with my flight. The agent at the Virgin Australia counter mentioned that this often happens when booking flights through the websites that are not the carrier's direct website. I have used others before, and not had these same issues... oh well - i guess that's what i get for booking through FlightNetwork.com. I'll probably go directly to airline websites in the future."

Then told that we won't be getting on until 7am the next day, but only really started boarding at 8:30am. By the time we were told about the reschedule to the next morning, it was too late to get a hotel room (too far away) and was told that I could use a 'Quiet Lounge' at the airport (which wasn't quiet). While waiting to board at 7am the next day, ground staff told us that they had to change the plane so there would be a further delay. On boarding, we discovered that it was the SAME PLANE."

Pros: "Check-in was a breeze; considering this being an internationaly travel, baggage check-in process was fast and easy. Was in and out in about 5 minutes. Goodie bag was a good idea; the goodie bag contains an eye mask, mini tooth brush, paste, hand cream, etc. These all were great idea and definitely helpful. However this is ruined by the tooth paste. It was a tiny tooth paste, fair enough but the opening is sealed tight w/o a way to easily pry open. This was a total bad idea of packaging. Flight tips were also good idea and informational."

The seats were cramped and narrow (no side support) Seat cushion has been stripped down to bare minimum, so effectively you may not feel much of a cushion. Cramped legroom Seats felt like junk and I had started having leg cramps after few hours. This so disappointing for a premier airline like Qatar. Overall a very uncomfortable ride."

Cons: "30 passengers on a 60 seat plane. We should have been spaced out due to the Coronavirus, but NO. We reallocated seats which had us all jammed up the front and back with rows of empty seats in between. Not good enough Qantas! I asked to change and the cery pleasant hostess said no we were NOT allowed. I do NOT understand this."

Pros: "Food, comfort interior, and fast check-in processes. In fact the check-in staff are great and very friendly"
Cons: "Helpful and more smiles will be very useful. Upgrade the entertainment will be great."

Pros: "First rate crew, friendly and professional through the long flight. The food was excellent and the crew offered snacks and drinks between meals. I paid the extra to sit in a section upstairs that I was able to get up and move around frequently."
Cons: "It’s a long flight but that can’t be helped. Economy seats are really cramped and so I paid $190 for more leg room on the way back. Would highly recommend. I wouldn’t sit right next to the bathroom again. (Check seat guru first) Also wasn’t able to check in with my mobile phone. Had to go through the line."

Pros: "Snacks and the drinks are good. Boarding are pretty smooth."
Cons: "Dinner and breakfast are not too good. We waited for long period of time for the luggages."

Cons: "American airlines dont know what passengers need to enter a country and then rebooked me on new zealand air but quantos changed that and i dont know where my bags are. Does the insurance i bought cover any if not all of these inconveniences."

Pros: "Rob Cumming was the supervisor crew for our section. He was very good at trying to compensate for the big problems that Qantas had created for us."

In addition, the family was divided in half, separated by the service station. I had switched seat so I can sit with my son but my husband had to sit at the other side of the service station to take care of the other half of the family because they do not speak English. I was left to attend to my 4 year old son by myself, which was hard to do. what bothers me the most is that there seem to be no obvious reason for them to re-arranged seats in such a devastating manner - it was not a full flight at all. Cons: "My kayak app wasn’t updated to the correct flight time so they had to put me on the last flight to Melbourne that would make it. Thankfully quantas is awesome and got it done."

Cons: "I sat in seat 77c the seat in front of me had something broken so my seat table kept falling down. Other than that it was good"

Pros: "Customer service...very helpful and accommodating. Good food. Easy transfer from domestic to international. On one of our flights, a 39 minute one, they served a substantial snack (yogurt, breakfast biscuits, oj) and tea, coffee, etc. Amazing in that amount of time!"

Pros: "Nice airline with lots of room for a very long flight. Seats next to me were empty so I could lay down but unfortunately a bad respiratory illness prevented me from doing that. But still comfortable. Nice variety of food."

Cons: "The flight was cancelled due to technical difficulties. But the airline did not plan ahead and was understaffed to take care of the individuals on the airline to speed up the process of waiting in lines. They knew we were coming and still only had 2 individuals on staff to take care of hundreds of people so the lines were longer than needed to be. Poor planning and accommodating of individuals during this time has made me not want to fly with this airline again."

Cons: "Food is not so good in Premium. Really notice the difference after flying Business, but I also heard Q recently changed provider. Pasta was bland, overcooked, uninspiring. Muesli tasted very sugary, like it was made with brown sugar. Not as healthy as the biz class meals."

Cons: "First of all, they gave my boyfriend and me separate seats when I checked in online. I called and they said I had to sort it out when we arrived at the airport and they'd leave a note for staff. But when we got to the airport we were told they couldn't do anything because they can't move assigned seats even if the person hadn't checked in yet. Thankfully they managed to find us new seats at the gate. The gate was a bit ridiculous. It was at the far end of the airport and we had to take a decent bus ride to get to the plane. Once we all piled out of the buses, they still were t ready to board so we all had to wait in a line. The plane ended up leaving about an hour and a half late due to the location of the gate and the slow boarding process. Also, we checked in online but there was no expedient bag drop line for people already checked in, so we had to wait in a very long line to drop off our bags."

Pros: "The Staff were friendly during the whole flight. Seats were really comfortable and good movie and song choices. Boarding was fast."
Cons: "The headphones looked quite dirty so I used my own. The breakfast meal was bad, especially putting in a hash brown that just gets soggy."

Pros: "I liked the fact that there was a water refilling station so I could get water when I needed/wanted it. The people were friendly and there were lots of times when the lights remained off so that people could sleep. There weren't a lot of interruptions during the flight so people could rest or do what they wanted! I also like that Quantas is associated with American so I got a ton of miles!"
Cons: "My seat wouldn't stay upright so any movement made it go back, which was fine for resting but when eating or sitting up, I kept falling back. Luckily the person behind me was understanding."

Also, baggage handling was slow compared with my previous experiences. Seemed to be a hard landing."
