Pros: "The crew were very friendly and responsive to all requests."
Pros: "Food was delicious and warm. Water was provided throughout the flight. Entertainment was excellent."
Cons: "There were large black box type items underneath certain seats which impacted personal item stowage and leg room."
Pros: "The food in Premium Economy was good and there are plenty of movies to choose from. The staff were lovely."
Cons: "I had paid for Premium Economy and was seated in Row 30. The passengers were boarded up to row 28, then from to back of the plane forward then I was boarded with the last remaining passengers. That was not what I feel should have happened. I did not like the footrest on the seats."
Pros: "They took care of you. Meals were good. Excellent airline"
Cons: "Boarding and take off was delayed by about one hour, with no proactive communication from crew about the delay. Passengers waiting to board individually questioned why we had not started boarding yet when information screens in the airport displayed otherwise. We did not start boarding for a 12 hour international flight until ten minutes to scheduled take off. The first time we were informed about the delay as a group was after we had entered the aircraft."
Pros: "The option to gate check strollers for easy access with a toddler"
Cons: "The stroller wasn't delivered to the gate by Air New Zealand"
Cons: "For the $s paid for this flight the crew could be a little bit friendlier and having a smile on their face."
Pros: "Friendly crew"
Cons: "Pity that a light meal wasn’t served fir free but understand because of low price"
Pros: "Crew were lovely."
Cons: "Had a lot of hassle adding baggage to this leg of my trip on booking. At check in i was asked to pay $130 for baggage, which was no surprise. Luckily Air New Zealand ground staff sorted it out and I did not have to pay. I will book direct with the airlines next time."
Cons: "I was not given a chance to make a seat assignment on the Alaska legs between Seattle and LA and ended up being stuck in a middle seat going both ways. There, was no option during booking to make a,seat selection. This was also true for the LA to Auckland outbound leg. This is an area needing improvenent."
Pros: "Crew were excellent"
Cons: "The TV was small and poor resolution and brightness. Also no USB power at my seat."
Pros: "Easy check in and comfortable flight. The crew are very helpful."
Cons: "Couldn't get my preferred isle seat or sit with my wife who was in a different row."
Pros: "I really liked the leg spacing. It was very comfortable to stretch my legs. Overall it was good. Thank you :)"
Cons: "I felt a little bit more of the nibbles could be included in the 8+ hours flight. Besides that everything was comfortable. Also, the entertainment options can be better."
Pros: "great flight service with accommodating staff. in flight entertainment had awesome variety."
Cons: "none"
Pros: "I had plenty of space"
Cons: "There should be more vegetarian options available. Crew were very slow in responding to my requests."
Pros: "Could not fault the staff one iota. Incredibly attentive to their customers, graceful and supportive. The supervisor get a special mention as he helped me with eating my meals with a sleeping toddler and even held her for me while I spent a penny. I have never felt more cared for by a group of complete strangers in my life! Thank you. You literally saved my sanity!"
Cons: "Nothing to fault at all on this flight. Food was great, staff were hard working and magical unicorns."
Pros: "My children enjoyed their first flight they were very well spoilt on the flight also the care they took with my mum."
Pros: "The departure & arrival time. A fantastic price that included an excellent meal there and back, 30k luggage quota, entertainment that lasted throughout the duration of the flight. It just seemed seamless and felt like it didn't take that long to get there. I will definitely be catching this flight, every time I return to NZ"
Pros: "Leg room is always great!! Also the staff a brilliant!!"
Pros: "Crew were friendly Entertainment was good"
Cons: "My meal was awful the only option for me was raw vegetables in order to have vegetarian and gluten free... It was carrot, cucumber and celery sticks and some fruit. I had the same meal twice it was very sad meal for 17.5 hrs with no snacks offered either. My partner and another man were forgotten as the meal rounds were being done. The crew seemed a little disorganised. The adverts on the entertainment were annoying."
Cons: "Seats are too small, uncomfortable. We had a 50 minute delay in departure."
Cons: "This is my 2nd International Flight and Qantas outrated the other airline 100x’s over. Thank you"
Pros: "Lovely staff and great food"
Cons: "There was no in-seat entertainment and we weren’t advised of this in advance"
Pros: "crew was nice. but we had massive delays and the attitude of the employees at the gate and on check in, was terrible"
Cons: "it was their fault that the plane was delayed (mechanical problems), when i asked to be transferred to jfk instead of newark, the employees at melbourne said it's not possible. basically it was their problem but refused to be accountable to it or to accommodate passengers"
Pros: "seats - very comfy flat bed to use on overnight flight"
Cons: "too warm, hard to sleep"
Pros: "The food choices were lovely, plenty of bathrooms and touch screen entertainment (albeit with an outdated feeling and clunky interface.) The skycam was the best part of the entertainment interface options, giving you an outside view of the plane at all times from a camera at the top of the plane tail. Watching the plane during its descent and landing was very cool."
Cons: "I’ve flown in tight-spaced economy seats before, but the lack of space to even bend over to reach items on the floor was extreme on this plane and unacceptable for a 15+ hour flight. It truly felt like a straightjacket. Serious acrobatics were required to reach items on the floor. The tray table would also fly down on its own, the lever holding it would slide free while I was sleeping. There was no wifi at all, not even for using the qantas apps. My fiancé flew on Virgin the week before and was able to purchase wifi and stay in touch with me for $19 for the duration of the flight. Even my flight earlier this year with Qantas on the Dreamliner lacked usable wifi, but the experience of the Dreamliner plane itself was wonderful. In addition, the usb ports on the end of the armrests weren’t working. I feel it should be part of the safety briefing to point out where the usable power points are, given how vital charged phones are these days for boarding passes, reaching loved ones and entertainment when the wifi isn’t working. I didn’t realize there was a plug for laptops/ block plugs until I asked about the USB ports not working until the last 2 hours of the flight. The location of that was somewhere few would notice or look if not explicitly told. This will be the last time I ever book with Qantas when an a380 model is involved, unless great overhauls and updates are completed. Economy should not lack basic ergonomic comforts and while I’ve spent years touting my love for Qantas, having had wonderful experiences in the past, this one fell far below what I had come to expect from the Qantas name."
Cons: "We were booked for a connecting flight we could not possiblely have made given we had to go through customs, immigragion and baggage claim. We had to catch a later flight which was then delayed because none of the toilets worked."
Pros: "The fresh fruit platter choice for breakfast"
Cons: "No fresh towels to wash hands & face before being served food"
Pros: "The plane was small, but it was my first time, so it was cool. The flight was quick and easy, and they covered my luggage even though it was too big for the plane overhead lockers."
Pros: "The on boarding process"
Cons: "The plan was in very poor clean conditions. The seats were discussing to sit."
Pros: "The crew was very good and did an outstanding job accommodating the passengers. Thank you."
Cons: "I really think everything was great and Jetstar is very well organized. You can teach the US carriers how to efficiently run an airline service. Thank you for taking pride and responsibility for running a well organized airline."
Pros: "Base price for flight was insanely cheap, booked six months in advance."
Cons: "Drastically different bag weight requirements than my connecting flight meant I had to shuffle everything around to meet the carry-on limits, then pay $100+ as my check bag went up two levels. Even anticipating this, it still cost double what I was expecting; must have been the difference between advance payment and day-of rates, but the degree of difference in cost left me feeling swindled."
Cons: "City of Yulara had a city wide communications failure. Other airlines had backup plans to get passengers out with a manual procedure. Jetstar didn't have a manual process and failed to get us on the plane. I missed my connection and they didn't help with my lost ticket. I ended up buying a new international ticket."
Pros: "Crew was great and friendly."
Cons: "The chairs were extremely uncomfortable. I have flown Jetstar multiple times, and this was by far the worst. I’m not sure if it was simply my seat, or what. But it made the flight very hard."
Pros: "Check in was easy once we prepaid for our luggage ahead of time."
Cons: "Did not even get a glass of water on plane. People get dehydrated flying, Jetstar should always offer water. The flight attendant was very picky, I could not leave my thin fleece tied around my waist."
Pros: "The crew at check-in was super helpful."
Cons: "The didn't even provide water - they charge $4 for a small bottle."
Cons: "Long delays, unfriendly staff, really uncomfortable seats that barely recline, no food or drinks other than water and no entertainment."
Pros: "The price, the timing of the flights"
Cons: "Cheap thin seats squashed together means you can feel every time the person behind you moves. There were people yelling at each other because they were getting so annoyed by it."
Pros: "on time in time clean air craft great crew, on top of all was the experience of the Pilot, the take off and landing was so smooth"
Pros: "got to melbourne on time"
Cons: "extra fees for everything and a hassle with carry-on. $150.00 for 2 checked bags."
