FAQs for booking Austin to Dallas flights

  • What are the benefits of landing at DFW instead of Dallas Love Field Airport (DAL)?

If you want to enjoy shorter queues and waiting times, then you should consider booking a flight that lands at Dallas Love Field Airport. This is because DFW is very busy and has even been ranked as the busiest airport in the world after Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson International Airport. Dallas Love Field is also conveniently located close to downtown Dallas giving you a shorter commute to the airport. On the other hand, DFW has more flight options and better amenities than Dallas Love Field.

It goes direct to AUS Airport, and you will be dropped off at the lower level of the terminal.

  • How do I get wheelchair assistance at DFW Airport?

DFW Airport has wheelchairs all around the airport to aid travelers with limited mobility in getting around. To get one, you just need to ask any airport staff to direct you where you can get them. Alternatively, you can go to your airline ticket counter and request one. Unfortunately, none of these options are convenient for people landing at the airport. Therefore, the best option would be to inform your airline during booking. This way, they can alert the airport, and you’ll get your wheelchair as soon as you’ve landed at the airport.

  • Which airlines offer the best onboard services?

If you want to enjoy an in-flight meal alongside a host of other onboard services, consider booking with United Airlines. However, it is worth mentioning that the airline doesn’t offer direct flights to DAL or DFW, and you will have to deal with a brief layover in Houston.

Great job! My family doesnt fly often but we felt safe 100%

The new seat assignment thing is wierd. If you don’t pay for a seat they always assign you a middle seat regardless of how many people are on the flight. Idk… the new company that bought Southwest is trying to make it more profitable, but I’m just not seeing it. The flight attendants aren’t having as much fun anymore. It just feels like the airline is slowly dying. IMO. We shall see if Southwest is the next Toy’s R Us.

The Air hostess were very rude on my flight from Houston to Austin . Their regular communication itself felt a they are shouting at people.

AC sub par. WiFi not working correctly. Ac sucked. Seats very narrow.

southwest just starting charging for luggage. hadnt realized it until it was too late. now out $70 when i couldve bought a carry on if i wouldve known. free bags was one of the only reasons i chose southwest over another airline (the other being no assigned seats, which is apparently also being changed). stupid business decision. wont be flying southwest anymore.

Bring back peanuts Take our drink orders when were all seated, especially after you switch to assigned seating.

I’ve always loved Southwest. No issues at all. I was flying standby and the gate agent was extremely friendly and helpful. Boarding was smooth and I was able to get a window seat in the emergency exit row. Crew was fantastic! They were very professional and accommodating. We had to divert from our destination due to weather but the flight crew kept everyone at ease and informed us of all pertinent information. Excellent flight

Plane late from DC to Austin 30 minutes. Crew made up much of the time enroute to San Diego.

Fine, but how to board on SW versus othrr airlines, is just lame. Goood staff though and all was solid otherwise.

The last 30 min or so, they put the heat on full. We thought we were being basted.

This planes staff was top tier. Everything went great and had a great flight home.

MY FAMILY'S LUGGAGE WAS LOST FROM ROME TO BARI. I WAS THE ONLY ONE THAT RECEIVED MY LUGGAGE FROM ROME TO BARI. AFTER DEPLANING IN BARI, WE WASTED A LOT OF TIME AT BAG CLAIMS LOST AND FOUND REPORTING THE CLAIM AND PLEADING FOR THE BAGS TO BE DELIVERED THE NEXT DAY. WE WERE TOLD THAT IT TAKES 3 DAYS MINIMUM TO DELIVER. MY DAUGHTER AND MY GIRLFRIEND NEEDED THEIR PERSONAL THINGS AND WE WERE STAYING 3 HOURS AWAY FROM THE BARI AIRPORT. WE HAD TO DRIVE 3 HOURS TO THE AIRPORT TO COLLECT OUR LOST LUGGAGE THE NEXT DAY. WE ARE NOT HAPPY WITH THE EXPERIENCE

Food choices were very limited. Taste of the dishes was average.

Fantastic. Smooth boarding with an infant. Never experienced it with any other carriers.

On time every leg of the journey and exceptional staff at counter, gate, and on board. I haven’t travelled in US for a long time and was genuinely surprised how pleasant this was.

Apparently the WiFi you buy on on one flight doesn't carry on with connecting flights.

The lady who gave me my boarding pass for check in was extremely rude.

Small plane (and thus a bumpy ride), small seats (and a large man next to me), absolutely terrible wifi, and no food options to speak of.

This was for the LOS to FRA leg of the flight Checking in and boarding was not good The staff at the gate were not helpful and targeted the customer and delayed the customers boarding unnecessarily The flight was delayed for about two hours and later for a change of boarding gate The waiting area was overcrowded with no seats available for passengers and lots were left standing for a long period of time

Sitting in row 31, you could smell the bathroom during the entire flight. It was pretty disgusting.

The flight was ok, i understand Houston-Dallas is a short distance. The plane is really small: no TV, no snacks, but other than that, all was good. We had a bid delay but luckily it did not affect my connection

Short hop but nice crew, efficient processes and all very timely

AA did not allow to board a flight because my connecting flight from DFW had been canceled. I got on another flight to another city. No service on the plane and I did not use their entertainment system.

American almost always Delays flights from Austin to Dallas and back. I cannot believe they have such poor service on this route. I was about to switch to American from Delta, but they gave me enough reasons not to.

So awful Unreliable Unfriendly Bad Mad Mean Smelly Hot Late Overbooked Understaffed Expensive Cramped Narcs If they were a fruit they’d be rotten durian

Overall good. Tight connection in DFW because of gate unavailability upon landing.

Flight was on time, no drinks served on the two short flights. Comfortable seats.

Nothing, terrible travel experience due to weather and maintenance delays and was left stranded in Austin.

Theresa Spencer, a stewardess on the flight, was outstanding. Her kindness, helpfulness and watchful eyes made my flight especially comfortable. She's an excellent employee.

The pilot was hilarious and spoke to the passengers for 10 minutes before take off. First class food was spot on and they got us in early after a late take off. DFW to PHL
