If you want to use public transport from the airport, you can either take the bus or train. For the bus, you can catch it outside the arrivals area of Terminals 1 and 2 while trains are boarded from the AIRail Terminal, right next to Terminal 1. There are other options to go from the airport to the city center, such as taxi and rental car, and you can find them both outside the arrivals area of each terminal.

  • Where can I exchange currency at BWI Airport?

Top tips for finding cheap flights to Germany

  • When flying from Baltimore, you will depart from Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI), which is the main airport serving most flights to and from Baltimore.
  • If you’re flying to Germany’s capital, Berlin, consider booking a flight that lands at Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER). This is the closest airport to the city, standing at only 17 miles from downtown Berlin.
  • The quickest way to BWI from downtown Baltimore is via taxi. You should therefore consider getting one if you are at risk of missing your flight and need to get to the airport as quickly as possible.
  • All airports in Germany provide free wheelchair services to passengers with reduced mobility. To reserve these services, you should inform your airline or travel agent at least 48 hours beforehand to give them ample time to make the necessary arrangements.
  • When booking connecting flights, go for the ones with an automatic transfer option. This is because the self-transfer option can be quite inconvenient since it requires you to check yourself and your bags into every individual flight.

Flight cancelled instead of leaving Friday am now, maybe, leaving Sunday

one of the flight attendants on the Dallas to frankfurt leg was somewhat rude..

United has maintenance issues and can then never recover. No operations ability and simple issues always turn into multiple hours long cascading delays. Worst airline on earth.

Check in was chaotic with only one counter for business class and first class. The luggage conveyor belt at JFK airport was broken so the flight departure was delayed which made the flight stressful as I had a tight connection. Although the captain said they could make up the delay, they didn’t do so.

Our flight was canceled same day and we were never informed. Had to pay more and worse seating on another airline.

Excellent! I got to Munich and was transferred to my Lufthansa flight quickly, in 15 to 20 minutes, so I did not miss my flight. However, I had checked my overhead bag at the boarding gate in Tampa. That got to Tunis the next day. That is to be expected.

Friendliest Flight Attendant I’ve seen since I flew on Southwest Airlines. The whole trip was outstanding…and arrived Early!

I didn’t have a seat assignment and my seat was very dirty on the flight from Frankfurt to Budapest.

Food was surprisingly delicious. Space in the seat is horrible when the seating front is reclined. Movie offerings were terrible. Crew was friendly and helpful.

Due to cancellation of connecting flight (Lufthansa) I didn’t fly with United

We paid for saga class, which is the business class for international. My seat was broken and did not recline and my monitor for in-flight entertainment was broken.

The flight itself was fine, even with a one-hour delay leaving on the Reykjavik tarmac (the lost time was made up during flight). Our experience at the Reykjavik airport on arrival was terrible due mostly to the one hour it took for passport control. Only two stations were open for our category, and the room was full with a huge crowd.

I liked the crew but not the uncomfortable seats and lack of movie and tv selection.

They cancelled our connecting flight resulting in another layover reaching our final destination 8 hours later than scheduled.

On-time arrivals and departures. Crew helpful and friendly. Yet everything costs extra: seat selection, food, even airphones!

Pleasant, attentive flight attendants, but they’ve got to upgrade their seats to be a true “business class” carrier.

I had no idea that my ticket only paid for my right to get on the plane. They charged me $130 for my carry-on bag because it was 1 inch too big she claimed but it wasn’t! Then they wanted another fee for everything. I had no idea that Icelandair had changed to such a bargain basement airline. I was very disappointed.

Screen didn't work, and neither did the button to tilt the seat even though the seat was comfortable

Second time with Saga Premium, everything was fab, but the entertainment centre on both my flights didn't work, plus the seat on the NY to Rek flight (Airbus) was so solid and so uncomfortable. The 737Max flight's seat was much, much better.

I’m considering never flying with Iceland Air again. The seats in economy are torture. Now you only get water, coffee and tea for free- really? No food, not a single peanut. The passport line was insane, everyone was worried about catching their connecting flight. This was the third time I’ve barely made my connection, had to run. It can’t be that my choice is to use the bathroom (during the 50 minutes between flights) or make my flight. SO stressful! Ugh.

Thanks to a delay of an hour of my flight to Philadelphia on American Airlines I missed my connecting flight to Amsterdam. On arrival at Philadelphia he crew on the delayed flight did not ask the passengers to let connecting passengers get off first and I arrived a few minutes after boarding was closed at the original time for the flight to AMS, this despite the fact that I had received a message from American Airlines that departure was delayed by 25 minutes. Overall very poor service, no effort from the part of American Airlines to accommodate the passenger, just rebook the flight for the next day.

It's hard to tell where to plug in electronics, and the port on my seat didn't work. Their entertainment system was down. Vegetarian food options were tasty. Friendly, helpful flight attendants.

Boarding process was chaotic. Confusion over Boarding gates: gate 55 or gate 56 ???. Unnecessary standing in long lines to board. Better to call out Boarding groups one at a time and everyone else to sit. Airline only has 2 Boarding groups 1-3 and 4-9. That causes over crowding and chaos

Lady next to me was coughing profusely the entire flight, other lady moved seats because of it, 8 hours of that during an overnight flight is a bit much.

The flight was ok. The seats are so small. The free wifi for members was not an option on this flight. The one flight attendant, older woman with straight white/grey hair, was very rude. The gentleman next to me asked about the wifi since he was a member as well. He stated, accurately, that the option to enter the idea number was not available. Her response was, "I don't know what to tell you" and walked away from him. The rest of the staff was wonderful. I asked another flight attendant about the wifi, she said the free wifi was not enabled on that flight (true or not- at least she was friendly). It was also pretty dirty. When I opened the tray table it had mushed crumbs and there was a dirty used pair of ear buds in my seat pocket. Lastly the air vent above my head was working but stuck so I was unable to move it to face me when it got warm. I fly American often but this really was not a great flight.

My luggage was lost at the airport but American Airlines contacted me and got it to me the next day.

24 hour delays aren’t even heard in 3rd world countries with archaic transportation systems. I’m never flying American Airlines again.

3.5 hr delay leaving Pittsburgh, notifications for which were incomplete and untimely. Connecting flight was automatically switched to one requiring more than a 30 hour layover! After waiting in a long queue, customer service reduced layover to 11 hours and also set up an earlier standby. The standby had empty seats, but the gate agent couldn't change our tickets! On top of all that my luggage was lost and has yet to even be located, much less returned 5 (FIVE!) days later. Too bad there's no rating below poor.

Canceled flight late London to Florence. Help at airport very poor. Treated poorly. Had to sleep in the airport. Lost bags- still do not have them. Horrible. I should be reimbursed!

The seats are extra cramped if you are taller than 5’8! Spring for the extra legroom seats for sure if you have a long flight!
