All of this and never once did anyone apologize or try to do anything to make it better. There is a reason Frontier is cheap. Do yourself a favor and stay as far away from them as you can."

And when I checked in I was charged to pick out my seats as well. After all was said and done, it doubled the price of my flight. I would rather they include those fees up front than hit you with them later. I like knowing how much I'm going to spend from the get go and pay once."

Cons: "After missing my connecting flight in Denver because the SLC crew couldn't figure out how to fuel the plane for 2 hours, it took me 3 hours to talk to someone at the Frontier desk in Denver that was actually helpful and got me a flight booked to Austin (I needed to get to San Antonio), a hotel and taxi vouchers and a meal voucher. My flight to Austin consisted of a gate change, a snarky, rude attendant, an hour on the tarmac before take off and after landing, and lost luggage that I had to pay $85 in hidden fees to even get them on the plane in the first place. My luggage boarded the plane to San Antonio 5 days ago and they still can't be found anywhere. Don't trust the reps to place claims for you because they can't do it right. File claims for lost luggage yourself online. Better yet, NEVER EVER IN YOUR LIFE BOOK A FLIGHT WITH FRONTIER, EVER! Their CEO, Barry Biffle, doesn't even follow his own airline on Twitter. The customer service is complete garbage and you don't even get complimentary drinks on the flight besides water. The seats don't have any padding and there's enough leg room for a baby. The tray tables are large enough to hold your cell phone, but that's it. And don't expect to talk to any representatives because they either won't be at the desk, or you'll have to wait for hours on end."

Cons: "This was my first flight with Spirit and It would have helped a lot to know before I booked about their fee schedule. When comparing flights to know that Spirit charges for every single thing, so you aren't comparing apples to apples with other flights. Knowing this or having it specified while booking would have been a huge help and avoided stress later on."

Cons: "I chose Spirit because of its cheap flight price so I didn't expect a high quality of service. For example, I didn't expect a very comfortable seats or meals in the flight. But, there are some instances which are not dependent to the price/money like politeness of the flight attendant/employees or responsiveness of the boarding member. On the flight day, me and the other fellow traveler were waiting for the boarding but the gate was closed and no body was standing at the front of the boarding desk. Also, there was no LCD screen to show that this gate is assigned for the Houston or any other places. The time was passed from the original boarding time and we were still waiting for the boarding member. Accidentally, I saw a airport employee and ask him that this is the gate assigned to the IAH Houston? And he responded: "Oh no, the gate is changed!" Thus, I ran from the former gate to the new assigned gate. But I saw that the people are still waiting for the boarding member at the front desk. There was a 25min delay and all the people were standing and waiting for that lady to come. At the end, since she was alone and she couldn't handle all the people, she didn't check the boarding zone. It is important to be mentioned that I received the changing of the gate E-mail very late just I was entering the airplane! In the airplane, the flight attendant were not friendly. They didn't help the old people to entering the airplane or putting their luggage at the top cases. During the flight, they were just sitting and playing with their mobiles! Apart from this issues, the worst scenario happened in the baggage claim. When all the people were waiting about 30mins for delivery of the baggage. At the end, it was so disappointing to see one my baggage is broken and its handle bar was detached that I couldn't move it easily to the outside of the airport. I reported the issue to the Spirit baggage claim and that employee was not friendly either and she didn't even apologize! Therefore, I am currently totally disappointed about the Spirit because as I mentioned there are some instances which are not dependent to the price/money. Even cheap airlines should provide highly respected treatment to their customers."

Cons: "Spirit takes advantage of non-frequent flyers and has a callous disregard for its passengers' time and money. One example is the strict 45-minute check in cut off that's in the fine print way at the bottom on their check in reminder email. They also overbook flights like crazy and set up impossible connecting flights so some customers won't make it for sure."

So everyone is basically sitting straight up the entire flight. Also no complimentary snacks!! Everything u have to pay for. Even a cup of water is NOT free!!! Never again."

Pros: "The crew, in air and on the ground, were outstanding. I had already checked in online before arriving, the woman at the desk helped me print my boarding pass and upgraded my seat. She was lovely about it. Before take off, some passengers would not move to their assigned seats. The male flight attendant handled the situation in a much nicer fashion than I would have. Kudos to the crew!"

This is an airline I will absolutely never choose again because of their hidden and deceiving fees they charge once you've booked your ticket. It's a complete scam airline. Stay away!!!!! Two other problems: the security lines are much much longer than those in united (it's worth paying extra to bypass these), and be prepared for baggage delays. We waited 1 hour for our checked luggage to arrive !"
