On top of that after we finally checked in we had to go another counter to pay the baggage fee and we’re misdirected there too. But this time I went to International in Chiang Mai to check in and found that you had bungled the booking. You booked me Chaing Mai to Bangkok on a DOMESTIC flight, and expected me to get onto the next leg, International,Bangkok to Denpasar, in 2 hours. You left me only 2 hours to disembark in Bangkok, get luggage at the Domestic carousel, go through customs, take luggage to the Check In counter in the International, get boarding pass, go through customs and security. Then race to the boarding gate for my INTERNATIONAL flight to Denpasar. What a trauma. The International Air Asia check in was mobbed!! I only made it in time because staff at the check in found me by chance and put me to the front of the line. I won't use Kayak again, after using you for 15 years. You have a nerve selling such a ticket."

Cons: "Started with booking, a package includes seats but the seats included we're all full,of i.e. need to pay more again.but100 Dollar for credit card booking? They are crazy! Check-infamily with just computers is terrible, didn't worked properly. Included food in package but can't choose, both legs the same food. Baggage damaged. Long walk in DMK to transfer, inefficient. Which leave leaves you with their HOT SEAT option. Even on international flight everything is al la carte, no free soft drinks. The price of checked lugguage can increase if not purchased at the time of booking. If you can jump though their hoops maybe no issue for you."

For couples who bought tickets together, seats were assigned at different locations even though the flights were not full. This happened on all four flight segments for us. And it was not just to us. It happened to many other people on our flights. When I asked at the check-in counter at Singapore airport to change the seat assignments, the agent lied to me that there are no other seats available. In reality, there were many empty seats on all our flight segments."

Cons: "The 7kg weight allowance is ridiculous, it's a clear ploy to grab more money for add-ons, when it should be considered below the minimum amount a reasonable one-bag traveller would bring with them. If you add a laptop, you get a free additional 3kg. Can someone please explain the logic of that? The airplane cabin was freezing cold the whole flight, colder than the older, smaller plane I took on the previous flight. If the Boeing 777 is so advanced, why is the atmosphere less comfortable? To add insult to injury, I was unable to bring adequate warm clothes for my flight to a tropical destination because of the low weight allowance. Lightweight travelers don't want to check bags because of the additional hassle and potential for lost luggage (not to mention the fees). They wear backpacks small enough to fit into the overhead compartment, but getting under the ridiculous 6kg limit means eliminating anything extraneous. 9 or 10kg is more reasonable."

Cons: "Absolutely no leg room. I'm 5'9 so I know I'm tall, but I manage on normal flights perfectly fine. The seats lean forward so in the upright position you feel as if you are falling forward. Terrible comfort but it was only an hour flight so I survived. Anything longer than the hour from Phuket to Phi Phi, I would never fly this airline. Like I said, you get what you pay for."
