Flight was delayed by one hour, then another 1/2 hour then cancelled and changed till the next day. We were not allowed to get our luggage & put up in a dirty hotel. I had cockroaches in the bathroom. When I finally arrived home…i noticed the airline had damaged the zipper on my suitcase.
Pros: "The pilot was hilarious and his jokes really helped calm the situation when there was crazy turbulence"
Pros: "Flight 1751 Miami to Cleveland 1/11/21. Flight attendants did not enforce mask policy! Family of four sick sneezing, coughing, short of breath. The fathers mask was down the entire flight. Even when the flight attendants picked up the trash. They were informed after the flight they did not comply with CDC, Department of health, and state policies. Their response was “ I made announcements overhead. Didn’t you hear?”. Appalling endangering customers and disregarding Federal, State, and local policies."
Cons: "People promoting safety and doing their job."
Pros: "They were nice. They listened"

Cons: "Missed flight due to not being able to access terminal because of stopped Skylink. Arrived at terminal while plane was still boarding but was told I could not board cause it was the final two minutes. Horrible customer service. Asked them to please contact the gate and let them know I was enroute on foot. They refused."

Pros: "I liked how convenient and smooth everything was, from the price of my plane ticket to the pick-up and drop-off of my rental vehicle. Also, the text notifications I received upon landing that informed me how much time I had I had between flights & where to go!"
Cons: "Honestly, there's nothing that comes to mind for me as far as improvements go."
Cons: "the entertainment on the app didn’t work. and there was no seat back tv things. there was a movie playing in the aisle of the airplane. there was no way to charge any devices while our domestic flight had the tvs on the back of the seats and international plugs for every seat"

Pros: "I believe American forgot what customer service are. Their staff located at the airport is plain ignorant and could care less about helping you. They answered my questions, as if they were doing me a favor. Flight crew was professional, but cold. No one greeted us, as we boarded the plane."

Cons: "almost an hour late - and no explanation. First class was about equal to Jet Blue regular class but without seat power."
Pros: "On this flight was a female flight attendant who anticipated my every need. I wasn’t flying first class, but still, she went out of her way to treat me very well. Her personality and hospitality made my flight relaxing, made me feel loved and appreciated, and the flight felt like I was already home"
Pros: "Exactly on schedule."
Cons: "Our extra legroom premium seats didn’t feel like we had much more room. No TVs, WiFi that didn’t work...left a lot to be desired. I know the standards are pretty low in the US compared to other countries, but for a plane that seemed relatively new, the lack of standard technology seemed cheap."

Cons: "The staff at the Seattle airport were very rude. The AAInflight wifi doesn't work at all. The Starbucks at Seattle had horrible service. I ordered a grande frappuchino and the cashier said it was a grande. When I got it it was a venti and I got charged extra and the woman who gave it to me was very very rude and sounded bored. She had blue hair. There was a woman who worked there who should be fired you couldn't understand a word she said and got the orders wrong."

Cons: "My flight was delayed on the way to Puerto Plata on 9/9 which made me miss an entire day and I was billed for a stay at the resort. I was booked to a crappy room in MIA that I had to get changed to another hotel. THEN my departing flight from Puerto Plata back to the US was delayed 2 plus hours (as was the first flight) due to a flat tire that had to be replaced. I missed my connecting flight and had to be placed on the next flight to DCA which was the last flight. This experience was the worst. I do not have a favorable opinion of American, of which I have flown this airline for years."

Cons: "Our honeymoon started off with American airlines delaying us by 3 hours in Miami causing us to miss our flight to Iceland and now we are stuck in Dallas paying out of pocket for everything because American does not reimburse anything. Just brutal."

Pros: "The plane was comfortable, and the stewardesses were friendly. The plane was not full, so it was easy to get board and deboard, the toilets were clean with no lines, and the entertainment was top notch."

Pros: "The flight itself was fine -- I never felt any major discomfort."
Cons: "All three of our luggage were left behind in Chicago; normally it would not be a big deal, but we are leaving for a trip right away and needed our suitcases, clothes, and the souvenirs we had bought for our friends. This inconvenience is why I rated this flight low."
Cons: "American completely missed the mark. AA did not successfully change our reservation when the initial leg of our trip was delayed by an hour due to a fuel issue, which caused us to miss your connection in Chicago. Since American partners with Alaskan Airlines, American should have changed my reservations with regards to Alaska Airlines, but they failed to do that. I stood at the Alaskan Airlines counter as the plane left the gate with our empty seats because there was not a ticket. American Airlines did not change a reservation successfully and so although we had boarding passes with our names and seats and the flight number, the plane left without us. I was stranded and Seattle airport at midnight with a child and an infant with one diaper and one bottle left and it was a terrible experience with American Airlines. I do not recommend flying American they cannot get it together when problems happen with delays."

Cons: "I was unable to choose my seat, so my boyfriend and I had to fly cross country on opposite ends of the plane. There was a stewardess named Karen who was so rude. She clearly was not happy to be working, never smiled, and banged on the bathroom door while I was peeing because I was "not allowed to miss the instruction video." Had I not seen it a few hours earlier, I would have waited to use the restroom. Good thing they showed the same video three times in a row."

Cons: "On my trip to Atlanta from new York the gate staff were horrible. Nasty attitudes and forced me to check in a bag that is made and approved by airlines to be considered a carry-on making me miss my 6 am flight to then book me on a 930am flight that was delayed for about an hour. I've never experienced this with any other airline before. Very disappointed"

Cons: "Seating is so uncomfortable, unable to recline more than an inch or so, then everybody rushes around making you return to an upright position! What's the point?"

Cons: "That I was rebooked and lied to at first as to why, and when getting another ticket the the ticket agent said the flight was rebook because "the crew didn't want to come to work". Not cool, I didn't react I simply got my ticket and just wemtnonw but there was no apology like they didn't care what I missed having to be rebooked I also wasn't given any sort of military discount no seats no baggage. Other airlines I've flown the past months always do something for military."
Cons: "AA delayed flight 3 hours, overbooked, took 1 hour to board the plane with all passengers, another 45 minutes to prepare a gate at the destination airport and another 45 minutes to unload checked bags. Hesitant to fly with AA again."
Cons: "My seat was broken and wouldn't recline very much at all."

Cons: "Not once but twice we boarded, sat on the plane for an hour and then were asked to deplane due to mechanical issues. It's understandable for one plane to have problems, but absurd to have issues again with the second plane. After all this, our flight was delayed until the early hours of the morning, leaving many passengers to sleep in the airport. It was uncomfortable, disappointing, frustrating, and the crew seemed very unsympathetic."
Cons: "I had to sit next to a huge overweight guy who took all of his own seat and at least 1/3 of mine. He had to have a seatbelt extension... not so cozy. My shoulder was damp from his armpit sweat by the time I arrived in Dallas. The flight was full or I would have requested a different seat."
Pros: "When it comes to travel, there is always something that can go unexpected. Is that happens to you and you come to AA counter with a positive attitude they will make sure you are satisfy with your service."
Pros: "We had a slight delay due to weather conditions. The aitport staff was wonderful and very professional. There were some folks who were upset but the staff effectively calmed them down. The whole experience was great. Thank you American Airlines!"

Cons: "Flight delayed and we were not compensated for that. I was exhausted after a 14 hr flight. Still don't know the reason for the delay!!"
Cons: "I am very disappointed in my flight. I am 6'7 and paid for an exit row seat. When I got to the airport they gave me a different seat with no leg room. They told me they changed planes and there was nothing they could do to help me. I tried again at the gate and again nothing. Will never fly again."
