Cons: "Everything could have been better. The terminal out of Charlotte looked like a bus terminal, unacceptable for AA since it is one of their hubs. I understand it was a busy holiday weekend, but the airline should have been better prepared for our arrival. While the pilot did an excellent job in getting us in NY on time after airport delays on departure, AA must have not had enough staff working when we arrived. Customers waited over 30 minutes for bags to arrive, which arrived at a different belt than what had been originally scheduled. There were no AA staff in sight when we arrived in NY either. I will do my best not to fly AA again."

Cons: "7pm flight, received flight delayed notification at 11am that day. How do you anticipate a delay 8 hours prior to a flight. Delay allowed me about 10 minutes to sprint through the lovely Charlotte airport. To finish off my trip, American Airlines manages to misplace my carry on that was required to be tagged and stowed. I handed it to the individual right outside the plane to be stowed. How does the bag not get in the same plane?!?"

If you did not want the meat meal the vegetarian meals on both flights included mushrooms...not into fungi."

Phily to Prg - Crappy old plane that should not be flying over seas anymore. Applies to both flights unless specified."

We booked , through Kayak, with British Air and paid extra for premium economy and the actual carrier, American, doesn’t know how to process a refund and no such seats are available on our rebooked flight 24 hours later so it has been frustrating."

Cons: "Many groups were not seated together. at the airport I asked if my husband and I could be put together . One worker seemed interested in helping, but another rudely butted in and said there "were no seats together, the flight was full." Come to find out the flight was not full, there were whole rows not full. The groups near our seats rearranged ourselves so we could be by our family members, so it worked out. No thanks to the person at the terminal. Really long walk from the gate to the plane. No food on a cross country flight. Only a few cups of water/soda and a cookie. which unfortunately is typical now days. The lights were off the whole trip. The captain kept turning on the seat belt sign for the turbulence. Which there was a lot of. But then he would announce for everyone to go back to their seats. It wasn't huge bumps, just a little rough. and it woke everyone up by announcing it multiple times."

Cons: "The tray cannot be moved close enough to my body for eating. I find this very frustrating and end up getting too much food on me and the surrounding area. Having to "unplug" the head phones an hour before landing is very annoying! We have traveled on other airlines that do not have this policy. Running our of Port 45 min after the first pour is not acceptable when flying Business Class!"
Cons: "When we arrived at the Aspen airport, American Airlines was having a complete breakdown checking-in passengers for our flight. Some waited 2.5 hours to check a bag -- at an airport with very few flights and small planes. Clearly there was no management onsite – or that management was completely inept. AA agents on the ground simply did not prioritize passengers trying to make flights, nor did they ask flyers without urgent issues if they could step aside. Even worse, they spent 1.5 hours helping one customer – when that customer simply could have gone online or called reservations to get the appropriate assistance. Honestly, I personally stepped in to do what your personnel should have been trained to do: show empathy to calm passengers, ask one irate man to have some sympathy for those behind him in line, and finally, prioritize the people trying to check bags for the 2pm flight ahead of others. AA personnel only engaged the irate customer and threatened to call security when he pulled out his camera phone – it simply inflamed an already bad situation."

Cons: "Got a notification of a TWO HOUR DELAY departing SFO. Rebooked into Charlotte instead of Dallas to connect to Fort Myers. THAT flight got delayed AFTER the doors were closed by another 45 minutes which caused me to miss my connection to Fort Myers AND have American Airlines leave my bag in Charlotte. I rebooked into West Palm Beach to drive to Fort Myers and my bag stayed in Charlotte even though there was ANOTHER 45 minute delay to change a tire on the plane. If I practiced medicine the way the airline handled customers, I'd kill every third patient!"

I predict that they will not be around in the next 10 years if changes are not made."
