The airport was chaos. TSA was a massive line and took forever. Everyone thought they would miss their flights
Delayed boarding otherwise all was great. Had the Comfort+ seating which was decent. A bit more room than what is normal these days. Free Wifi for the whole trip was a bonus also
The a330-900neo is an aircraft worth trying out. Comfort plus is premium select, despite the nice features, the backpack doesn’t fit well under the seat. The service to honolulu only gives snacks so make sure to eat a meal before flying the 5.5 hour flight.
Comfortable flight, food can be improved. Everything was on time, but boarding could be better, more organized.
As with the outbound flight, this return flight was not full - maybe 40-50%. As they started boarding they announced they located a few people the help with 'load a balance' of the aircraft. What they had done was to compress all passengers in the middle of the plane leaving no space between anyone. It is difficult to understand why everyone is required to wear Masks, then relocated to remove all space between passengers, when there was ample room to allow everyone to be seated with space between.

Getting luggage in place used to be a simple and minor issue, now it occupies much of the time, energy, and attention of the cabin crew as well as the gate crew. I realize this is making money for Delta but the cost is being paid by people being hit in the head with luggage and the crew's unavailability to deal with other issues."

The gate agent seemed to enjoy telling us, with our 10 month old baby, that we were too late. Our baggage, including car seat, had been loaded on the plane. We were reassigned to a flight the following morning. We missed a full day with family, had to travel back home without a car seat and return to the airport the following day. I was shocked and disappointed that not single Delta agent was accommodating or remotely helpful while we were at the airport. I've never had a problem with Delta before. We travel on regularly and would like to continue using Delta. I would like a voucher for my next Delta trip."

Our pre-arranged chair was not there, multiple calls by our Delta assistant finally got us a ride to the chair holding area, but after about 45 minutes we gave up and shuffled off to the security area on foot. Thank goodness my hubby is mobile enough for that to have been an option. When we abandoned our wait we were still 4th in line for an attendant to push the chair. If Delta has any responsibility in this it would be in the retention and compensation for the private contractor."

Going forward, I will not be purchasing travel insurance in the future. It may sound irrational but if you think about it, travel insurance is the tax on gullible people. You hear travel insurance and one assumes that if you spend the extra money on the insurance and something comes up, you can at least get much of your money back. Don't count on it! It's a 1/1000 chance they will do the right thing so the odds are not in people's favor. If you want to be smart, use the money you would have spent on travel insurance on some pre flight cocktails at the airport bar. Air travel is hellish enough without scams like Allianz!"

The coffee maker onboard had been broken for a long time and the airline couldn't be bothered to fix it. If I were the flight crew, I would have gone on strike. No leg (or arm) room on the express jet really punctuated a 34 hour itinerary with a sour note. I could barely walk off the plane in the end. Less comfortable than a cheap rental truck for the same amount of time. I likely won't fly again with United. I'd almost rather walk next time to be completely honest. At least it would be healthier!"

Cons: "That a bunch of travelers including myself missed our connecting flight in Chicago after united chamged our arrival gate but didn't have any crew to man the jet way. We sat for 20 mins right in front of our gate. From 1 pm to 10 on my flight to Asheville from Chicago was delayed many many times waiting for our airplane to arrive. Upsetting that we missed our connection due to United's poor planning, they didn't hold our connecting flight for us but we had to wait all night for other flights."

Cons: "After a cancelled flight, two delays and lost luggage (that we did not receive for two days after arrival) on the way to Boise, we've now been cancelled on the way home to St. Louis. The first cancellation was due to weather. The two delays were due to late crew and refueling issues. Today's cancellation was due to maintenance. Embarassing. I travel often and can guarantee I will never fly United again."

Cons: "I booked the comfort economy seating that I normally do with Delta. With their additional cost you get a larger seating area, free in-flight movies, reserved compartment space for your carry on and a free drink. No such thing with United. They did try to have movies through their app, but it wouldn't play long enough to allow you to watch."

(originally was supposed to be getting to Fort Lauderdale at 10 pm). Also, the aisle seats on the plane had a narrower underseat space that my little boxy carryon wouldn't fit into--and it usually fits under any underseat storage...Luckily the passenger in the middle was willing to swap places."

Watched the crew roll their eyes at each other and treat us like it was our fault their workday had just gotten 3 hours longer. Truly the worst customer service I have encountered on an airline."

Cons: "Plane was downgraded last minute and because there were less seats about 40 of us had to be re-booked on a flight out the next day. They comped hotel + food + cab expense and gave a voucher for a free ticket that had to be used within 1 yr, booked within 60 days. But it was overall shitty experience. When I went to use food voucher the next morning in the airport Coffee Bean they told me they didn't take them. And the hotel wasn't too close to the airport so more time spent in cab plus the hotel was sub par."
