Cons: "When we make the reservation, WE TELL YOU that we have two kids ages 3 and 5 travelling with us. WHY DOES YOUR SYSTEM BREAK US UP INTO 3+ GROUPS? It just ends up in more work for your gate agents to put us together as well as you can before the flight. This happened on the flight out and the flight back. Also, on the flight back the agent and crew had to bump people who had already established themselves in their assigned seats in order to fit us in in a sane way. Also, don't make us download a sketchy app to view in-flight entertainment. There are ways to deliver entertainment that don't require installation of software for just a flight. Not that it matters to us, because entertainment wasn't available on the flight to cabo."

Reminding me that it was a large airport. I declined, but she encouraged me to try it and I agreed. She was concerned and very helpful."
Cons: "The plane was a small plane and we had to disembark on the tarmac. There were two attendants with wheelchairs but they didn't have my name so I walked on. The flight attendant called to me and said to wait. One of the attendants came up with a wheelchair and said he would take me. Unfortunately, a steep ramp had to be used to get into the airport building. He asked another worker to help him and all the way up the ramp I had to listen to comments about "good thing they had eaten their Wheaties" and "they were getting a good workout." I know that I am not a small person, but these ongoing comments were rude and insulting. When we got into the gate the attendant told me that he didn't have my name on his list and had to call for permission to take me through the airport. I waited and he came back and said he couldn't take me, but if I could wait someone else could come for me. I had waited enough already and suffered their rude comments, so I said no thanks and walked slowly through the airport. This experience has left me with a bad feeling for the airline and its personnel. I believe their staff could use sensitivity training at the very least!"

At least 7 more passengers would have preferred eggs, but were told there were no more to be offered. intercom is way too loud, esp. if you have earbuds in - we can hear you through the earbuds, esp. when plugged into the console when we'rer watching movies"

Cons: "My 6:50 am flight was canceled at 11:40 pm the night before. Spent an hour and 15 minutes trying to talk to costumer service before I gave up since it was 1:30 am. Got put on a standby list for a flight and the flight was 5.5 hours delayed. Finally left SFO to San at 2 pm after being at the airport since 7am. Was supposed to originally be there by 8:30am but had to use my PTO since I missed the whole day of work."

Pros: "Boarding was extremely slow. Not enough overhead space left which required almost all of group 5 to check bags. Flight attendants were not very attentive. Seats were thinly padded."

Cons: "This flight was cancelled and I was given no notification. I was only told once I got to the airport. Luckily the staff member I spoke with at checkin was helpful and put me on another airline, but only after she tried to tell me they'd sent an email and said there were no flights til the following day. I had to explain that I hadnt been notified, had taken off work, had just taken a cab there, was 2 hrs early, and due to the nature of my trip not able to leave the following day. Though she was very helpful I feel it was luck and the nature of using a small airport, not something I can expect. Either way I shouldn't have to explain and insist when it was clearly the airline's mistake. When I later checked my email I actually had never recieved a cancellation email, just an email saying cancellation was possible. Overall another bad experience with United. Flew American Airlines and was happy with the flight."

Cons: "Flight diverted to LAX then stuck on tarmac for 2.5 hours waiting for decision. Then waited for bus to terminal. Then waited 45 minutes for baggage to unload. Then put on a charter bus to San Diego. When arrived at SAN had to wait 45 min for a cab because United didn't let the cab companies know that 250 people would be arriving at 2:30AM. So instead of arriving at 9PM we arrived in the middle of the night with horrible service all around."

Cons: "The flight was delayed and it was freezing. The TV monitors kept turning on and off and it was a night flight with the lights off, so it kept waking me up."

Cons: "I lost my opportunity to attend a work conference due to detours, mechanical issues, and poor planning. I also lost my $1000 grant that I would have received through the conference. All.i.have is a hurting back, empty stomach, and money lost on a terrible experience. Will not use United anytime soon. I wish I could change my return flight to another carrier"

The plan was to check in and pay for my bag at the kiosk which would have been $21 instead of $55. For their troubles, I supposed. What a rip off. Then on my boarding pass they put 0 bags where I was then asked for $100 fee to check my carry on at the gate. Why would they put 0 bags?!?! Thank God I had my receipt with me and I dodged that extra expense. The staff was so rude. Worst flight experience of my life! They make TSA look great."

Cons: "I didn't like the people sitting behind me and the older gentleman flight attendant had a sense of humor that was a bit off-putting for me personally. Maybe others enjoyed it, but not my cup of tea! The flight was initially delayed upon arrival by at least 30 - 40 minutes. No assistance to be found at the gate. Then an additional 20 or so minutes delay after all had been seated for two passengers, one of whom could barely walk straight. These two kept the entire plane waiting only to get off before take off. REALLY?? What a cluster. Will not be flying Spirit again."

You have to pay for a carry-on, a drink, to have the service desk check you in, etc. I'm surprised they don't have a coin-lock on the bathrooms or individual oxygen masks that they charge you for."

Pros: "Creating my own itinerary through a 3rd-party (Kayak) online reservation agent, I was unaware of the $52 add-on baggage fee. And when I tried to use the electronic kiosk to check in, it was not functioning properly. Although it not just Spirit Airlines, but I feel as though these additional fees aren't spelled out to the consumer well enough and therefore are somewhat disingenuous in their relationships with their customers."

Cons: "Spirit Airlines boarding staff were not engaged with their work at the boarding gate. Did not give final boarding call notification. Prevented us from boarding while the plane was docked. Did not assist us in rescheduling our flight after it debarked without us. Did not let us know the necessity of confirming our return flight. Furthermore, the policy of cancelling someone's reservation for their return flight automatically after they miss their initial flight, without informing them via text or email, despite them checking in within the 24 hour period prior to its departure is a morally bankrupt practice that is highly detrimental to building customer rapport. It is also bad for the bottom line of the business as it ensures confusion and customer dissatisfaction. While it is financially desirable in the short term to over book flights and cancel flight reservations without a refund or notice, it is in the long run detrimental to the company as it guarantees wasted time and resources for the airline and the consumer. You must do better with the communication between passenger and airline, you need to post the boarding time, the gate closure time, and the departure time clearly on the tickets customers print. You also need to text or email confirmation and cancellation information. And you must have energetic staff at the gate who are interested in performing the routine work of gate stewards. These are mandatory changes that must occur. They are not suggestions. Basic customer service functionality is required of any transportation service. It is not something you can include when you feel like it if the customer pays extra."

If you need to take any bags whatsoever or care that your flight is half decent, DO NOT fly spirit. Bags are $40 a pop each way, and if they're heavy, you're looking at an additional $25-100 fee. Basically the bags end up costing more than the flight. -7/10 Comfort? You wish. You'd be just as comfortable sitting on concrete. 0/10 In flight snacks, drinks, and other in flight goodies? Well you're gonna have to pay a lot. Are you sensing a theme here yet? You want nuts? Too bad. Gotta pay. A tiny cup of water. Nah, we only have bottled water, gotta pay. But hey, if you're really that hungry or thirsty I guess it's there. 1/10 Air fare? Dont have a car? Need to get somewhere 1000+ miles away quickly. Well you came to the right place. If you just need a flight, and nothing else, you're not gonna get anyone cheaper than Spirit. 10/10 (I feel disguised even saying that) TLDR: Don't fly Spirit. Deceptivly expensive with all there fees. And everything about them pretty much sucks. If you need a budget flight line, Southwest or Frontier are far greater choices."

Pros: "Never given an explanation. Logging on & out of the website and your own personal profile for the airline didn't work, and was an incredible inconvenience for MANY reasons."

Cons: "seated outside the rear toilet and it smelled like I was flying in an overstuffed Porta-Pottie for 4+ hours mon my ride home. Besides that there were very obnoxious kids seated right next to me and in front of me. On the flight to Chicago, there was a kid behind me who kept kicking me in the back all the way there."

Pros: "For short flights, spirit has great deals"
Cons: "90% of the time I fly spirit they have delays... No different on my flights in both legs of the round trip flight..."

Cons: "too much for bagging >they dont have a military discount. >they charged $110 for bagging and said they don't care if i'm military i don't get a discount RIP OFF!!!! DONT RESPECT TROOPS!!"

Cons: "Three hour delay, uninformed/unsympathetic staff, tiny tray tables, rude pilot, broken checked bag. Always feel like I'm being nickel and dimed to death by this airline"

Cons: "The most expensive flight, because they charge $100 at the gate for carry on bags. I will never recommend flying with them"

Pros: "Got me from point A to point B in a last minute trip, you get what you pay for. Not for those that will be having alot of luggage you'll be charged crazy amounts for that. I would check before bringing anything other than a simple bag like me. Staff was super friendly."
Cons: "They really don't follow their schedule. But nothing major."

Cons: "The price was low because they charge for a carry on ($55!). Would have not purchase if I would have known. Flight was delayed, room was minimal, 4 hour flight felt like 12 hours."

Cons: "The seats don't recline for whatever reason and there is a baggage fee of $50. This is unsatisfactory. Upon arriving in Houston our plane was not allowed to pull up to the gate because the previous flight was still there. We were stuck on the plane for over 45 minutes with only cookies and water for compensation. Flight attendants were not friendly. Overalls very disappointing."

Cons: "I was mortified to have to pay for bin space overhead. It added $110 to my flight. I was shocked. I will never never never fly your airline ever ever again."

Cons: "Business model. Airline capitalizes on customers forgetting to check in, pay for bags, pay for over priced drinks, food, seats, ect...all things considered the customer ends up paying the same price for an experience less comfortable than a competitor with less hassles. Low fares for more inconvenience...convenience will soon win back customers temporarily lost."

Cons: "Cancel the flight at the last minute"

Pros: "Be prepared, the fare is cheaper because anything you do will cost money. Talk to the counter rep $10, carry-on bag $55, check a bag $55. Stay away I save $40 to loose almost $200 in fees. Oh yeah and it extra to board early and/or pick your seats!"
Cons: "The better question would be what did I like? Ehh nothing!"
