Cons: "I was in the last group being boarded (D) - by the time it gets to this group it seems a kind of controlled pandemonium starts and the staff just do their best to herd people in. I have an Alaska Air credit card and one of the selling points was to board earlier, but that has not been the case, as they reserve this for their higher level customers, whatever that means. Also, on this flight, I was very unimpressed with the crew, there was a younger African American man, who was particularly unfriendly, he clearly needs remedial training in customer service. I was disappointed with my experience this time as I have mostly found the crews to be very professional."

Seats for my wife and I were not where I had reserved. Plane had one working lavatory for a cabin of 150 economy passengers. This resulted in a line that stretched the entirety of the single aisle of the plane for the majority of the flight. The second toilet simply had a piece of paper with sharpie that read "DO NOT USE!!" There were two attendants, one of whom wore a t-shirt and was mostly indistinguishable from the passengers. Didn't get so much as a cup of water until over two hours into the four hour flight. No snack, but that's the least of my complaints really. The attendants spent most of the flight in the back of the plane discussing their new vacation lottery and where they were going to go out drinking when we landed–I know because the rear of the plane was where I ended up, forced to smell the single working toilet, in a seat that didn't recline."

Just saying, “this is the best we can do.” What did they do? They didn’t even help me to work it out. Then one of the front desk staff came onto the plane and help me out. My son and I finally sit together. But the overall experience sucks! Alaska Airlines needs to train their crew to have more emphatic to the passengers."

"Anyone that purchased a Delta 1st Class seat should have access to the Delta Sky Club. My wife and I purchased 1st Class tickets for a Delta flight from SeaTac to Washington Dulles but were denied entrance to the SeaTac Delta Sky Club because we did have an American Express card."

Cons: "The gate was changed 1hr prior to boarding despite the arriving plane having landed 3hrs prior. So with stroller and infant in toe, I had to run to change terminals/buildings. There was no assistance or prior warning regarding this from the check in staff and I made it all the way to the original terminal and gate before having to turn around. The desk staff at the gate was asked about early boarding for infants and said it would be okay but didn’t give clear instructions on boarding so I sat down and they began boarding each group 20 minutes later and did not give priority to mother’s with infants. The stroller which I brought to the gate was then tagged incorrectly with a white tag instead of a pink tag. I was later told by he crew that it meant it would go directly to baggage claim instead of being brought to the door. According to the crew, all staff know to tag with a pink tag. At every step there was blatant display of inconsideration that made an already difficulty journey, that much more challenging."

Most MIA staff was very rude (this wasn't American's own staff, or TSA, I should note). Got middle seats but luckily was able to switch on one of the computer kiosks. Flight crew didn't seem to care that other people moved to the for-pay seats further up front (the flight wasn't full)... so why did we lose our seat assignments and get grief with not being able to select anything good? Not impressed."

I thought "wow that is amazing sevice! I am def going to brag on them." I should have done it myself... after a 30 hour traveling day.. I got to the counter to get on my second scheduled flight home, and it wouldn't let me on because something with my Rickey was not working on the computer. The person did not know how to fix it so I missed the flight. After calling a supervisor, and that said supervisor never showing up, someone else finally happened to walk by and helped the original person fix the problem. Finally after waiting 5 hours total, I was on my flight home. The first flight was amazing but this flight makes me question if I want to ever use American Airlines in the future."

Attendant, when he finally appeared, seemed, to this traveler at least, unengaged, abrupt, even rude, certainly not as welcoming and helpful ad other UA counter attendants at busier airports and at more demanding times. The word lazy comes to mind. The same individual handled the gate. His demeanor there was similar. If it is UA policy to leave counters unattended, an explanation should be posted; if present policy requires one individual to handle counter and gate duties, perhaps more help is needed. This experience, all the more frustrating when a passenger ruses early so as to comply with recommended arrival and boarding times, combined with the fact that the incoming flight significantly delayed AVL to Washington depart setting the tone for a mostly mediocre experience crowned by a painful trek from terminal A to terminal C to catch the connection to PVD. Not a best effort by UA. Outstanding flight and cabin crews saved the day."
Cons: "Luthsansa sent the reminder 30 prior the flight that was a delay on the flight operated by United. I called customer service they do don’t helped and hanged up twice. Finally after waiting for an hour on the airport the same flight was change 4 times more. A manager in United got us in a different flight but we arrived 40 minutes later to Madrid and missed our connection to our other flight. I had to buy a one way expensive tickets because my connection was loss due to the issues with the FL rigth from Charlotte"

Pros: "The crew on the flight were very friendly, very attentive and always smiling. They took great care of the passengers and in particular a woman with a crying baby. It didn't bother me at all, but I know the parents were concerned and the flight attendants were so kind and helpful. The food was truly fantastic, and served hot and with a smile. They repeatedly asked us about water, as the cabin was dry. I would give the crew an A+!"
Cons: "My husband and I have not flown for several years and have always enjoyed past flights. However, it seems as if the seats have much less leg room than years ago. I am only 5 foot 4 inches, and was very uncomfortable. My husband is 6 feet tall and he was miserable. Sleeping on this 9 hour flight would have been helpful, but due to the cramped seating, it was pretty much impossible. The little pillow and blanket did help with some back support, but I guess making more money per flight is more important than comfort."

Cons: "I had to go on my trip a few days later due to a work conflict. I never changed my itinerary because I didn’t think it mattered. I bought a new one way ticket on a different airline and went to get on my return flight that I had paid for and was still receiving emails about. I got to the airport to check in for my return flight and it had been canceled because I didn’t get on the first leg. I was never notified and they couldn’t get me on the flight I wanted because it was leaving in less than hour(which is a stupid rule). And to get me on a flight the next day would cost $2500. No thanks. And before anyone tells me that it’s in the fine print that they cancel a flight if you don’t show up, save it. We all know people don’t read all that. Be a human being. So if your plans change, make sure you officially change your plans, because they may go above, but probably not beyond. Oh and it took quite a long time for them to figure out what happened. If they had realized and I didn’t spend so much time on the phone with customer service, I might’ve been outside the hour window requirement."

Cons: "The ‘third world’ arrival handling by IAD. Ragged transporters. No intercom service or effort whatsoever to advise pax of apparent problem at main terminal. Turned off transporter engine and left us on the tarmac breathing diminishing air in the module and wondering what was going on. Mobile passport service ‘not working’ at jam-packed immigration. Luggage retrieval frustrated by problems or incompetence and finally located at an undesignated conveyor area. No kudos to IAD. All kudos to Lufthansa/UAL. One Exception was my ‘by chance’ immigration agent who for the first time ever for me at IAD said “welcome home” as he waved me on."

Cons: "95% of my united flights are delayed. Today, they overbooked and asked for a volunteer. I did so and was offered a $1,500 compensation. Instead of 8:00, I would arrive at 11:00. I was very excited and patiently waited for the plane to board, so I coulD receive my new flight info. The flight is inevitably delayed, as it always is with this airline: I would have ended up missing my connection, so it seemed to work out well. However, they’re about to close the doors when the agent says “it’s not overbooked anymore” she gave me the option to so either get on that flight and wing it on my layover to find another flight, or go to Newark. But I needed to make a decision at that moment. The agent revoked the $1,500 because it was no longer overbooked and her demeanor immediately changed from The kind, accommodating agent she was when she needed me to give up my seat. She became short and rude. I got the last available seat because I was the last to board and was forced to check my bag because there was no more room. All because I was willing to change my travel plans. I get to my layover, and the earliest flight I could get would land at midnight with an additional layover. Oh! And the first class seat I was supposed to have on my second leg was not available. All of this was while I was seriously ill— throwing up, just wanting to be home. Honestly, I’ve never liked United. I constantly get over it, because it’s often the less expensive option. At this point, I am so sick of how they treat their customers, and their inability to depart on time. Last time I let them put me through this again."

I found out i was charged for 2 glasses instead of one. To top it off the co-worker i was traveling with didn’t get charged due to the inconvenience and delay. i travel a lot with United (higher status than him) and would have liked that offer (and not get charged one i didn’t order) being a mileage plus and credit card holder. I did go on line and ask for a credit and they did make it right and give me a credit."

Pros: "I was separated from my 4 year old and 7 year old children as well as our husband. We bought our tickets together but we're out on 4 different rows. I asked flight attendant for help and she was rude. She talked to my husband who was further in the back and came back and told everyone it was ok for my kids to not be with their parents because my husband said it was ok. It was not ok, it was awful. After I started crying someone finally traded spots. But I didn't like that my husband's wishes over Road mine, it was misogynistic and she was a woman, a very condescending women."

Cons: "I had a really hard time getting the cabin crews' attention during boarding for a piece of safety equipment. I hit the call light, tried to catch them as the crew was distributing headphones, and the light got turned off by an off-duty flight attendant without checking that we needed something. I got it in the end with an apology from crew but I still don't feel terribly safe Also, the paid entertainment system that my neighbors purchased seemed to be down with static for a portion of the flight."

Cons: "Baggage Claim was a nightmare. I did not receive a baggage ticket when I checked my bag in London. Part of that is my fault. I should have made sure I had one. It took an extra long time to get my bag. Everyone else had left the area from my flight and I approached the counter. The attendant at the counter was rude. She said she couldn't help me unless I had the baggage claim ticket. Which I get that, but it all comes down to how she said it to me. She went over to the carousel and said that my flights bags were still going around and at that time I saw my bag. I said there it is to her and she responds, well you can go get it yourself then. Just completely rude. It all came down to how she responded to me. I was freaking out at the prospect of my bag being lost and she responded as clipped and uncompassionately as possible."

Cons: "I was disappointed by a few things... 1. The staff didn't much care to be there. They seemed distant and unconcerned, although their words were supportive. I just got off a flight from Seoul to SF, with United (892) and they admittedly stated that they were understaffed (which was completely fine) and their attitudes were much more supportive than that of the following team (486), a flight from SF to IAD. 2. I was surprised, that on a 5hr flight, they only offered a half bag of mixed items and two rounds of beverages. I was sure that they would feed us something. However, if it's not the policy, I get it...but I asked if they had anything I could purchase, the flight attendant points me to the menu pamphlet and says that I could choose from there. I asked for the Chilled Chicken with Slaw and she promptly lets me know that they only have cheeseburgers, a protein box and Cheese. For a person who's lactose intolerant, I was again disappointed by the service--why ask me to go to the menu, if you knew there were only three items you were offering?? So I didn't order anything. 3. The entertainment blows my mind. I've flown with you guys like 8 times this year, and the app still does not work properly, however, before every flight, someone mentions over the intercom to be sure to download the app...but if it doesn't work...why offer it? Also, if there are tvs at the back of every headrest, the least you could offer is a random movie, versus the commercials about how great the app is, or whatever was scrolling along. Lastly, please note, I was trying to figure out a way to make a comment to United...but didn't want to sound TOOO disgruntled. I'm not opposed to flying with UA, absolutely not, but if any of these things are addressed, I definitely feel you will be making a massive improvement on what seems to be an airline that I'd think twice about taking. Feel free to e-mail or call me. I don't mean to sound rude...but having flown other airlines, and knowing that UA has been around for a while, i just hoped the experience would be better."
Pros: "The cabin crew themselves were great. The pilots offered my child to go see the cabin and everyone on the actual plane was great."
Cons: "The United employees at check in kiosk were very unorganized and unhelpful. I was traveling internationally with a small child and had two pieces of luggage to check in. Normally you just go to the counter once and they do everything including taking your luggage once they weigh it. Instead, I had to go to the self check in kiosk, then back to the counter to weigh my luggage, take off the one luggage from the scale, weigh the second one, then go back to the self check in kiosk, then was told to take off the second luggage as well, then finally went to a second counter where the lady handwritten my luggage tags and then was told to take both pieces of luggage and put them somewhere else altogether with specific directions on where to put them. This is something normally handled by the actual employees. Also, the check in dude yelled at my kid for putting in his name into the check in kiosk while we were waiting on the check in dude to do all those unorganized activities. He claimed it would break the software if my kid were to enter his name. I have told him that no, the software will not break if my child enters in his name."
Pros: "The people were very nice! The entertainment although not easy to access was free. snacks were meh but ok. They did what they could to make us comfortable after flight was delayed 2.5 hours."
Cons: "The flight was delayed for 2.5 hours was out of the control of the crew. They did what they could. But the plane was cramped. Not enough space. Everyone was cramped. We missed our connecting flight they put us up in a hotel and booked alternate flights. We had to stand out in the cold waiting for a shuttle to take us to the hotel. The hotel staff said more than once they were not prepared for all of us and getting us from airport to hotel and in rooms was almost another 2 hours. That gave us 3.5 hours to sleep before we started in the next journey. Of 4 hours from take off to landing in our home city. I had to pay for my baggage to go onto another airline."
Pros: "There were maybe two of the flight attendants. Who weren't rude. The rest well, I guess didn't like there jobs? I lost all my money for my first flight, because i was over 4 hours late. When i purchased a ticket from cheapo air, the person helping me was so nice. Unlike United airlines, or Viama. When i missed my flight that i paid $1,300.00, United said they'd give me another ticket for $4,000? This was a one time offer to redeem my $1,300 Viama said $10,500? I will only buy my tickets from cheapo air from now on."

When you travel to another country they should have at least one person who speaks English. Can't really say much for the food, essentially requesting a vegetarian meal was out of the question, so i just starve. Drink some watered down booze, take a few dramamine and sleep. The layovers are ridiculous. 14 hours, 8 hours 4 hours? Good thing God made Beer and pizza."

Reminding me that it was a large airport. I declined, but she encouraged me to try it and I agreed. She was concerned and very helpful."
Cons: "The plane was a small plane and we had to disembark on the tarmac. There were two attendants with wheelchairs but they didn't have my name so I walked on. The flight attendant called to me and said to wait. One of the attendants came up with a wheelchair and said he would take me. Unfortunately, a steep ramp had to be used to get into the airport building. He asked another worker to help him and all the way up the ramp I had to listen to comments about "good thing they had eaten their Wheaties" and "they were getting a good workout." I know that I am not a small person, but these ongoing comments were rude and insulting. When we got into the gate the attendant told me that he didn't have my name on his list and had to call for permission to take me through the airport. I waited and he came back and said he couldn't take me, but if I could wait someone else could come for me. I had waited enough already and suffered their rude comments, so I said no thanks and walked slowly through the airport. This experience has left me with a bad feeling for the airline and its personnel. I believe their staff could use sensitivity training at the very least!"

I did not get any help boarding my flight which happened to be an express flight. The young stewardess took my crutches from me the moment I stepped foot on the plane. And I couldn't get any help getting off the plane."
Pros: "Amazing flight to Dulles international Airport. The United representative came up and saw that I was traveling alone and upgraded me to first class. It was the first time I have ever flown first-class. I was excited I didn't sleep at all so I can take advantage of all the programming that was on TV. I'm so very appreciative of the flight because I could enjoy stretching my legs out and enjoying a comfortable seat. The very attentive crew allowed me opportunity to quench my thirst with countless glasses of water and to watch and keep up with my sports programming throughout the entire flight. Now it will be extremely hard to ever fly coach again. I have flown United the last couple of summers and I have been nothing but thrilled with their service and their staff. Moving forward United would be the only airline that I would care to fly. Thank you for everything and thank you for my safe travels!"

Cons: "Recent airline corporation consolidation has greatly reduced consumer choice. The surviving major airlines, in their effort to cut costs, sacrifice quality control and assurance. Pittsburgh's status as "no longer a major hub" was on full display here. United needed to have customer service agents available on site, but they did not. The review could easily turn into an essay on United's complete failure (ask the remaining passengers who were supposed to be on the PIT-IAD), but such a review would not change the state of affairs in the airline industry. I will be contacting United reps to lodge an official complaint."
Cons: "After having several flights with international airlines while in Thailand for the last 2 weeks, it was quite a disappointment to spent 12 hours on this UA flight. There was a 6-8 hour period during our flight were flight attendants did not ask or even consider walking the isles and asking the passengers if they needed any water or anything else. During several flights in Thailand, the attendants were constantly catering to every passengers' needs. The difference between the flight attendants from Bangkok to Tokyo compared to Tokyo to DC was worlds apart. The Japanese attendants were as friendly as ever and took care of all the passengers needs. The flight attendants were flat out rude. There was once event on this flight that I could not believe. A child of 5-7 years old had to go to the restroom with his mother. The flight attendant was collecting trash from our meal. Even though she knew the child was behind her and needed to go to the restroom, she would not stop collecting trash, move her cart so that the boy and his mother could get to the restroom. Instead, she continued collecting trash and made the boy wait until she was done. I feel embarrassed for the foreigners who were on this flight and this was their first impression of America and Americans. The main meal that was served was a breaded chicken patty served with a slurry of questionable gravy, rice, and a roll. I received better food on multiple 1 hour flights while in Thailand. The comfort level was what you would expect from most American airlines-tight and cramped. I will never book with United for another international flight."

Cons: "On my outbound flight from IAD to BRU my flight was delayed 3.5 hours because the "plane was late to arrive". Seems like this happens a lot on United flights. The staff at the gate of Dulles airport were extremely rude and difficult to deal with, which made it frustrating to try and figure out my connection situation. I missed my connection from Brussels to Paris and had to buy a train ticket for which I was not reimbursed by United. Then, on the way back from Paris, my flight was delayed 2.5 hours for the same reason. At least this time I had a direct flight. This entire experience makes me think twice about flying United again. I live in DC and it would be just as (in)convenient for me to go to BWI instead of Dulles for international flights, where there seems to be more options outside of flying United."

Cons: "Luggage was delayed--apparently not transferred in Munich to United flight. Fortunately, it was only a 24-hour delay and contents arrived intact. But the explanation of what I could purchase to meet my immediate travel needs (toiletries, intimate garments) was indefinite and unclear and subject to reimbursement only if approved. Boarding was subject to additional security for flights to US in Munich airport where passport was checked yet again and stupid questions were asked and passengers were shuffled through a long queue."

Cons: "My husband, w/ recent collarbone fracture was not allowed to board early, so got stuck in a crush. Our neighbors to the front went into full recline mode ASAP and remained there for 8-1/2 hours- we were unable to reach our belongings on the floor or exit the seats without flight crew intervention - and we are 140#, moderate height! Seats this tightly packed should not recline! Somehow watching numerous economy plus seats remaining empty several rows ahead of us while we endured this was a sorry statement from the airline."

I asked for window seat (I was not able to make my seat online because of my passport) and they wanted me to pay 10 minutes before the flight for a window seat!! fortunately the plane crew let me sit on window seat since there were lots of empty window seats. The food was not good. The crew was trying so hard to give as less as possible. They were asking "do you want...?" before giving anything. You either need to be awake the whole flight or there is a good chance to miss meal!"

Food in the coach was below average and the Entertainment audio very poor. I am travelling soon again and would like a free upgrade this time and will rate your service accordingly. My travel plan this year is numerous."

At one point our plane was in the runway and sat there for 30mins trying to get in to a gate which still had a plane. Also, the timing continued to update every hour and give a new take off time of one hour right starting with noon and ending with 8:45pm. There was no analysis as to what time the flight would actually occur. Someone in the planning cell took the easy way out and just kept pushing out new timelines that shifted everything one hour tonthe right."

There was minimal communication and no real understanding of what was happening by frontier. When asked about any sort of compensation the employees were extremely rude and difficult. After so many hours they’re required to give a 50 dollar voucher but failed to do so. After not sleeping for multiple nights due to my situation I did not arrive into DC till 1am and had to drive multiple hours home in the middle of the night which was a major safety hazard. Frontier did not offer to compensate a hotel or anything for the inconvenice. Extremely disappointed in the horrendous service provided by the airline in this nightmare scenario"

Cons: "I didn't like the repeated delays during my layover at Denver Airport. Being stranded unexpectedly at an airport with a extremely cranky 3 year old for almost 4 hours overnight when every food establishment but two were closed and there weren't even vending machines available was such misery. Our departure was delayed at least 3 times and I often knew about the new delay before the ground crew did because my app updated before the board did. Additionally, and especially after all of that delay and drama, I didn't like that there were not complimentary soda or juice or snacks or free wifi or any in flight entertainment like movies, TV or radio. We had put up with so much and yet they offered nothing in return for the inconvenience."

Tray table is about 1/3 the size of most airplane tables. I asked at the ticketing counter if I was able to board with both my purse and small bag (both would easily fit under the seat together), and was told I'd be charged for a carry on, so I had to stuff my purse inside the personal bag to avoid a charge. Flight crew was polite but not overly friendly. Snacks and beverages are not complimentary (I didn't ask about water but it seems like there are mixed messages about whether that is complimentary or not based on other reviews). I have flown Frontier in the past so I was aware that seats and baggage cost extra, but prices seem higher than they had been in the past ($12 for the cheapest pre-selected seats, $36 for carry on). Only perk was that the flight was direct from DEN-IAD."

My fiancé wrote two complaints to the airline during our wait - none of which received a response. This airline is unprofessional and I will not fly it again."

I don't mind a budget airline and am ready to fly last-class, but paying even more just to have clothes to wear bottomed-out my budget experience. next time I will pay the extra upfront to travel expediently on my terms."

The seat bottom has been reduced in size by half - the edge hits mid-thigh - and all cushioning has been removed - like sitting on a folding chair, but less comfortable! And the pricing: I paid as much to bring my luggage with me as I did for my "seat". And to top it off, it was a red-eye flight and the crew were yacking the whole time. I will NEVER fly frontier again."

My first flight was delayed 2 hours, after we had boarded, for "paperwork issues". My second flight was delayed 6--yes, that's SIX--hours for "system updates" and when we did finally arrive we spent another hour sitting on the runway waiting for a gate. And then it took another 40 minutes to unload our checked luggage, which also came up on the wrong carousel. My third flight, a red eye, was delayed an hour because the flight crew was late and this caused me to be late for work in the morning. Absolutely terrible and I will NEVER fly Frontier again. I thought the prices were a bargain but it's not worth the aggravation and waste of time. Save yourself a lot of headache and just spend a little more money."

I ended up ubering home, an hour drive. Frontier sent an apology e-mail with a $50 re-emburstment; since my time, missed ride home, and money spent is equivalent to a $50 voucher to their airline. Never again."

When we tried to check in early for each leg of our round trip flight we found out that the flights were very overbooked and to reserve a seat on the plane we had to pay extra regardless of where we sat. When you factor in the carry on bag charges we ended up paying an extra couple hundred dollars on top of the price of the tickets. I will not be flying Frontier again, especially when a couple of the other budget plane companies don't charge for carry on bags or to simply get a seat on the plane we had already paid to fly on. I also was surprised to find out that I even had to pay for a cup of water mid-flight. I thought that it was against the law to refuse water to someone when they are thirsty, but the flight attendant assured me it wasn't."

The crew was seated for most of the flight on their cell phones and did not even do a seatbelt check."
