As we were concerned for our daughters health, we asked the flight attendants if we could lmove to the bulkhead that was open at the front of the plane. They wanted to charge us $500 EACH to move, even though the seats were open. One of the flight attendants even commented how terrible it was for our baby to have a row of sick people behind us, yet they refused to move us. Fast forward, our daughter ended up getting sick during our trip to Florence, and now my husband is sick. As such, we’ve had to miss out on things during our vacation. It would not have been difficult to move us to empty seats in the front of the plane, so we could use the bassinet we paid for. This small gesture would have made our flight and our trip much better."

Anyway, I am very disappointed how Sas didn't notify us. It would have been even nastier if we had got to the airport before realizing that flight was cancelled."

I lowered the rating because they never gave us more than the one bottle of water that was on our seats when we arrived. That may have been ok for the people in the cold part of the plane but not for us in the sweating part. Luckily we had brought a big bottle of water."

The woman making the announcements on the plane was extremely soft spoken and the PA system was static-y so I could neither hear nor understand any of the announcements. The refrigeration system for the food also broke down on the plane so we weren't fed our second meal. Instead, they chose the cheapest and most unappealing snack of plain almonds to give us. Despite confirming our luggage situation with us at the first airport repeatedly (because of our connecting flight) SAS still temporarily lost our baggage when we arrived at our final destination and caused us to stay an additional hour at the airport after already having spent an exhausting day travelling."

But initial flight was booked under alaska--but boarding pass unable to be printed from any of the kiosks and we were told to talk to American. American didn't know anything about it. THen stood in Assistance line for 45 minutes to be told that we needed to talk to VIrgin American. They rebooked us on to American, which then promptly was also delayed for several hours, and we thereby missed our connection. Throughout the process there were no customer service representatives either in person or on the phone who were remotely helpful. Overall, worst travel experience of my life."
Cons: "The SFO crew was not helpful at all. Upon check-in, the SFO to Copenhagen leg of the flight was 2.5 hours delayed. When I expressed concern to the SFO ground crew, they said "You'll be taken care of in Copenhagen" in a very dismissive manner. I noted that we would miss our connecting flight (Copenhagen to LHR) and that there wouldn't be another direct flight that day. The SFO crew member told me that I was wrong that there was another flight available (a 4:30 pm flight). I told her that that flight wasn't on the SAS website and she told me that I didn't know what I was talking about in a rude manner. When I arrived in Copenhagen, the ground crew informed me that there was not a 4:30 pm flight and there never was. To get to London, I had to be fly first to Frankfurt then to London on another airline. Overall, this delay cost me over 6 hours. Utterly unacceptable and will never fly SAS again."

Cons: "My flight was canceled the day before my departure via email. The customer service contact number for SAS did not work--I tried multiple times over the course of 12hrs+. The online help page gave a 404 error. I had no way of contacting anyone from SAS. Later that night (night before I was supposed to depart), I received another email saying I was booked on a United flight about 5hrs earlier than I planned on leaving. I had to cancel my morning plans with my wife to make the earlier flight. I never (still, a week later) was able to contact anyone from SAS."

Once we were settled in and in the air, it was a pretty comfortable ride. The in flight enteretainment has good content, as long as your console works. Meals were very good and served at good times. There was also plenty of water available at the attendants station throughout the flight. There's no booze offered with meals for free, so if you want a drink you're going to pay for it."
Cons: "There were a LOT of families with small children who clearly had never flown or did not like to fly. Despite it being close to the bathrooms, it might be a better option to get seats further away from the doors (the extended legroom also provides space for a hanging crib). I was woken up by crying quite a bit. While the legroom is good, the reclining angle of the seats counters that if you also don't recline your seat. Also check for seats with entertainment boxes under them, as you lose a lot of space to store your things and extend your legs under the seat in front of you."

In general I would just move on, but we heard the customer service agent reference that they over booked the two flights to Rome. When I realized that my actual seat was 10 rows back on the very last row, I moved, leaving my hang-up bag near the first seat. As time passed, I heard a woman on the intercom say something about a lost "jumper". After learning that a "jumper" is a sweater, I asked the nearby airline attendant if the sweater was a navy color, like the one that I had left in the overhead. A female airline attendant came to me, carrying my hang-up bag with my sweater and repeated 4 times that I was lucky because she was about to put my "jumper" and hangup-bag off the plane and leave it in Johannesburg since no one had responded sooner!!!! I was so stunned that I could not say anything. I only kept wondering why would anyone go into the overhead and start pulling things out? Why would someone take such extreme measures and not walk down the aisle, asking every person on the plane, including the people on the back row? This type of thing could happen to anyone. Since I did not have a name tag on the bag and I live in the US, it would have been near impossible to ever find my bag again if left in So.Africa! Plus, the woman went on and on in a very rude & condescending manor when all I could do was sit in shock, wondering why she would take the time to go through the overhead and look for a hang-up bag that does not have a name tag!!!!"

After a long day and a long and expensive uber ride I made it to sfo to see the flight has been delayed... never ever ever going to buy an international flight from Iberia, and very hesitant about kayak redirecting sales."

Cons: "When I missed my flight, the airline would not offer assistance because I booked through an online vendor (webjet through kayak) and when I called webjet they failed to help me rebook, made me buy a new flight, then when I called looking for the flight information, they managed to cancel the flight and then claimed I had requested this when I had done no such thing. On top of this they only offer next calendar day booking so even though they are fully responsible for botching up the second flight I booked. I have talked to 10 individuals from different agencies. Everyone passes blame and responsibility off on someone else. On top of everything else, noone but the American Airlines representatives showed any empathy or concern for my being stranded for the night. Based on this experience, I will do everything in my power to dissuade people from using Kayak, webjet, amadeus and British Airways."

Cons: "security in Heathrow was AWFUL. There was only ONE person working to screen luggage AND check luggage that was questionable. There wee 15 people waiting for luggage who almost missed their connections. I sprinted through the airport and made my connection with 2 minutes to spare."
Pros: "When I asked for a gin and tonic during the only drinks service in "business class" they at least gave me two miniatures of gin and two cans of tonic."
Cons: "we sat on the tarmac for over an hour before taking over. there was no offer of any drinks for this entire time. the "business class" seats were the same as economy, just with the middle seat blocked. the meal was closer in quality to bad meals i've had in economy class than anything i've ever had in business class."
Pros: "Food was ok."
Cons: "One of the worst business class experiences I ever had. Seats are small (7 per row, 3 of which are facing backwards). If you have a non aisle seat you need to climb on top of another passenger to get up (which is unacceptable I'm business class)"
Pros: "Flying in 787 is always a joy. Quiet; great movie and music selection; nice contemporary user interface."
Cons: "The seat legroom was not the worst I had but sleeping in the chair was somehow very hard. I think the seat needed a little more backward inclination. There was a headrest, which was a good idea but didn't work out as expected."

Cons: "Short staffed. No coffee with breakfast! Cream and sugar on tray. Flight from London to Stockholm delayed one hour due to air traffic!"
Pros: "Comfort. Entertainment. Service. Comfort. Did i mention it was comfortable? Also dark. Very dark. Which is exactly what you need on a long flight. Food was also exceptionally good for an airline. The bathrooms were also clean and had nice sinks."

Cons: "Baggage did not arrive as was not put on flight at San Jose despite checking it in 2.5 hours before flight"
Pros: "we got a 787 dreamliner, the coach seats had good space between rows, so we had enough legroom. food - dinner - was tasty, and breakfast was plain but was completely OK. entertainment was excellent, lots of new movies, and also older movies and TV programs. crew was courteous and very helpful, and boarding was quick and smooth. all in all, a very positive experience."
Cons: "While I prefer beef to be cooked rare to medium-rare (and mentioned this) on both legs the meat was well-done and dry. This is common to many airline steaks, and may be an unavoidable consequence of the limitations of preparing food on board. (Though I have had reasonably prepared meat dishes on certain AA flights). All dishes are highly under-seasoned, but a packet of salt and paper is provided, so this is not a curial concern."

Cons: "So jammed in the damn airplane you couldn't move!!! Stop the caring about the money so much and start getting back to customer service. What a concept"

Pros: "Timely departure; early arrival. Customer service oriented crew. Due to an oversight on the crews' part (turbulence during distribution of meals), my neighbor and I were not provided meals. When they eventually discovered their oversight and our choice of meal was no longer available, they provided us with meals from first class. Applaud owning a mistake and fixing it."
Cons: "Chair configuration is appalling. Paid extra to sit in exit row of standard economy, seat 30J (middle seat). Leg room was ample, seat width was adequate (for someone of small stature) but separation from neighboring seats was non-existent. My neighbors on either side were both plus-sized. I had nowhere to place my arms and effectively had to sit with my arms folded from SJC to LHR. Room for improvement."
Pros: "it was on time"
Cons: "I got food poisoning from the dinner, chose the spaghetti and started feeling ill almost immediately. I am still sick, truly awful experience."
