Cons: Boarding was awful. The staff definitely need better training at adapting with the Covid 19 situation. Especially, when it comes to unexpected occurrences regarding test certificates and sudden new regulations. Not everything is always black and white and not everyone has the same capacity to afford rebooking flights or re-testing. Treatment of foreigners in general at the LAX airport, on my flight at least, were unprofessional and inconsiderate. I generally like flying with Japan Airlines but after what I have seen and experienced personally I’m not so sure it is still one of my number one airlines to fly with anymore.

We arrived at close to midnight and worried about getting the car out of the parking lot without incurring additional charges of and additional day. The food was not great.

NEVER Again. my father passed 8/12/2018. Our trip was scheduled for 9/13/2018. Very disappointing.see
Pros: This flight was part of a longer trip - I flew from Hartford, CT, USA on a different airline and connected to Japan Airlines in Chicago. I flew Chicago to Tokyo in JAL and then from Tokyo to Manila again on JAL. The service on first leg was very good and friendly of my JAL flights, food was good, seat was comfortable. Then on my second flight from Tokyo to Manila I was shocked but thrilled that I had been given an upgrade to first class. The whole experience was outstanding! The seat was incredibly comfortable and the food was phenomenal. The only problem, not that you could call it a problem, was that I was so comfortable with my fluffy pillow and fully reclining seat that I couldn’t stay awake to finish my movie! Thank you!

Cons: In LA terminal, instead of the gate number the airport labeled my flight as “TBIT.” Not being local, I had no way of knowing it meant Tom Bradley International Terminal. I stayed near another gait that had international flights, and it turned out the gate was clear on the other side of the complex, which is obscured by construction. If I hadn’t asked one of the workers there I would have missed my flight.
Pros: The flight attendants were very attentive and polite, seats are some of the most comfortable of any airline I've flown (particularly compared to the US domestics), entertainment is solid (although the English movie selection was not that large), and we were regularly offered food and drink if we were awake. I would definitely recommend JAL to others.

I feel good whenever I see her walks by, smile and very professional When the meal was serve but they only had one dish to choose instead of two ( I guess that day Chicken Masala dish was high on demand so there are only Japanese dish left) she said we are so sorry with a very sincere gesture , I chose Japanese food because I like Japanese food anyway , she politely thanks me for my choice and later bring a bag of small mix snack for me and said thank you for being flexible . Later on, when we getting off the airplane she even helped me to stroll my carry on out to the airplane because I was carry too many stuffs with me and my daughter being so tired of the long flight so I have to comforted my daughter . The stewardess saw that and helping me a hand . I wish every airlines has someone like this crew member . Thank you so much for the awesome service on Japan Airlines.

Cons: I purchased a flight through one of the participating vendors on kayak for a major airline and accidentally chose the wrong departure date. I never received a confirmation email and therefore missed the flight. I understand and take full responsibility for booking the wrong departure date but when I tried to change it after missing the flight I was told that the airline policy was to charge a $300 change fee plus $30 for the third-party vendor. Because this was booked as a round-trip this vendor was attempting to charge me $330 plus the full price purchase of a new ticket as the "change fee". For some reason I was unable to explain to the person on the phone that it made no sense for me to pay full price for a ticket plus give that vendor an extra $330. I was forced to eat the entire round-trip ticket and of course save $330 by just hanging up and booking a new flight. I have course book a new flight directly with the airline. I could not even fly standby on the next flight with the airline because they told me they were unable to assist me in anyway because I booked through a third-party vendor. There were plenty of seats available on the next flight and I would've been able to fly standby had I purchased directly from the airline. Never again

Pros: All fright attendant are so nice and polite, also pretty. The meals are great and they served nice ice cream for dessert, the good quality ones! The bathroom was always clean, they keep it up so well. there was even toothbrushes and paper cup! I really enjoyed it even though I was in economy.

Cons: The flight was 100% full. I took a redeye flight hoping to sleep a bit on the plane but I ended up not sleeping much. I am happy to take ANA on my return flight, which is not redeye. Also I will be happy to fly ANA again, but I would not take a redeye flight on any airline unless I was in business or first class which I cannot reasonably afford at the moment.

What bothered me even more is that when the woman asked the flight attendant to tell me to put my seat up, the flight attendant complied instead of telling the woman it was my seat to do as I wished. Why make the seats recline if they are going to bother the people behind? Why tell me to put my seat up if it was not a requirement for all (ie during take off or landing)? I did not appreciate this and it made my flight extremely uncomfortable.
Pros: Just as previous reviews mentioned, this is a top notch airline even when flying coach. The staff was courteous and attentive, the food was good and the flight overall was comfortable. I'd fly with Singapore again in a heartbeat.

We bought the ticket November 11 it did not say we needed to get tested before flying When we went to check in there was a long line because a lot of people that was flying out did not know also about getting tested before flying Eva employees said that this protocol started December 1st if that’s the case why didn’t they email travelers that bought tickets before December 1st And let them know that covid19 test needed. Also at check in we were inline for 2 hours just to let us know we couldn’t fly out they should have a Monitor saying “ ATTENTION PASSENGERS IF YOU DON’T HAVE COVID-19 TEST RESULTS IN HAND YOU CANNOT A BOARD.” So that people didn’t half to stay in line for so long.

Cons: This is my wife & I flying with EVA Air. My wife and I have travelled with many international and domestic airlines for 38 years now since we started travelling. This was is our first experience with EVA Air. I’d recommend EVA Air’s Premium Economy. The seats were wider and leg room was excellent. The amenities were great especially the entertainment part. TV Screen in front of the passenger (installed behind the seat in front) was very clear. it was the same as if watching movie on an iPad. The food was great! Both my wife and I like the dinner and the breakfast served. Also, the price of EVA Air’s Premium Economy is great compared to similar Asian Airlines from Vancouver to Manila. EVA Air was the cheapest when we started shopping for flights from Vancouver-Taipei-Manila.

Cons: First flight (to Istanbul) delayed, and nobody cared to help with making connecting flight booked on the same Turkish Airlines (THY)! Different THY employees sent me to three (3) different places (with two suitcases in hand) at opposite ends of the huge Istanbul airport before finally pointing to the Business Lounge and causing my missing the connection. Had they directed me correctly and cared about my first delay, I would not have missed it. I lost the first-night pay at the hotel of my final destination, my friends lost their time and money on making trips to pick me up, my ailing relatives were in pieces worrying about me, and so on. In sum, a fun trip (NOT!) ... If you care for some details, here you go... They did not inform their own connecting flight about my delay. Despite issuing me a boarding pass, nobody was looking for me or announcing where I should go. I spent an hour running around the airport at THY employees' misdirections. Business Lounge revealed I was already issued a ticket for next morning's flight (without informing me via my email they had or otherwise). I then looked at their own monitor and saw a much earlier flight the same night on a partner airline. I had to point to that flight, and they issued me a ticket there. No apology, no offer of any compensation. I understand that flights may delay, and I could forgive an honest mistake in misdirection. But this was a wide-spread incompetence and utter unwillingness to help their own business class (!) customer. I can only imagine what pains the economy travelers had to endure! Just to give you a flavor, after realizing that my connecting flight was boarding (when my delayed first flight arrived in Istanbul), I asked the crew to direct me to the best route to my connection. They pointed to the gate personnel. The gate personnel who greeted us DID NOT KNOW about my connection and sent me to the opposite side of the airport without notifying the connecting flight to wait for me. No help/transport was offered. When I made my way to the connecting gate with my luggage, the flight was gone. Nobody to be found from THY around the gate. A neighboring THY gate's employee directed me to the "Care Point" desk far away. A sizable line emerged there, with only two agents working it. I asked one of them if business class was served there. They said, "Yes, get in line, please". After 30 minutes in that line, I approached a "Care Point" agent (a cruel name for no-care-whatsoever service) who told me "You need to go to the business class desk upstairs. Economy only here!" No apology, no expression of concern, yelling "Next!" when I told her that I wasted 30 minutes of valuable time in line at their direction and would appreciate her doing something to help or making sure I reach the right person. Off to the "business desk" I go... another 15-min. run in a different direction with luggage in hand. That desk could not help either...ARGHH. Do I need to continue?..

Cons: First, the Boeing Executives need to be punished by having to fly in the Economy section of their airplanes. Second, Turkish Airlines (a wonderful company) must impose hygiene requirements for their passengers. I sat next to a man that had insane body odor and when I let the Flight Attendant know she kindly reseated me... It was great until I saw the poor woman who took my place ALSO asked to be reseated due to the man's smell! Unfortunately, I was reseated in the middle of the row, which apparently is by Boeing design, none of the middle seats recline. Who makes an aircraft that handles long (13 hour) hauls with seats that do not recline and are too narrow for the average adult? It was such a painful and uncomfortable 13 hour flight. To add insult to injury, the plane was delayed and I missed my connection and had to sit in Istanbul airport for almost 8 hours.
Pros: The flight crew was amazing- very pleasant and hospitable. There was great entertainment available which made the flight go quickly. The food was good. We did not realize we had to select vegetarian ahead of time, but having cheese sandwiches available made that easier. The small bag of toiletries that we were given was a very nice surprise.

Cons: They give you very little leg room. The seat in front of you touches your knees. After 8 hours in the same position it feels like you are stuck in a coffin or a primatial medieval torture device. The seat begins to hurt your back. You can't get in a comfortable position. You can't turn left or right. There's a little foot rest that gives you 10 minutes of relief but then that gets uncomfortable. If one of the people seated in with the inner row needs to use the restroom then the whole row needs to get up. It's cruel and unusual punishment. The airline just needs to expand the rows by 6 inches. Before you go bring a neck pillow and a butt cushion. Or better yet, pick a seat located in a front section that gives you more leg room. If you have the option then this should be a higher priority over a window seat. You will thank me for this advice.

Pros: So I never actually flew with Turkish this trip, but I can write about my rerouting experiences. Inbound my first connection to Istanbul was cancelled due to technical problems. Fortunately I was second in the ticket office line and was promptly rebooked with Lufthansa. My return flight was cancelled because of the coup, and again I was rebooked with Lufthansa.
Cons: Overall Turkish Airlines did well in a difficult situation. But a few concerns. On my inbound flight, the agent servicing us was amazing and I was fortunate to be second in line, but the airline was ill prepared for the situation and the agent was being hung out to dry by his colleagues who kept calling him and wouldn't let him do his job. On the return flight, I was frustrated the agents at first pushed me to take a refund rather than letting me rebook with a partner. I ended up having to leave a day later than expected, and didn't get an itinerary till the morning after my original flight. This was all very stressful. Lastly, you have to think twice about flying through Turkey. Although this coup is over, the next crisis will be over whether President Erdogan creeping authoritarianism.

Cons: I didn't understand why it took us so long to board and take off. The weather was fine; no explanation was offered for our 90-minute delay in takeoff. This delay caused me and many others to miss connections in Istanbul. Also, the transfer process in Istanbul was very confusing; I was given wrong directions and waited twice in the wrong place before I found the right line to wait in.
