Pros: "The food was among the best I have had on an airline. Finally, an airline with enough staff on board to serve everyone quickly. On that subject, the Flight Attendants were very well trained and efficient. They all looked well groomed and beautiful. I had to push the service button 2 times on our 14 hour flight and they were there within less than 15 seconds both times. Amazing! The entertainment was good but not great but it made the time pass. The departure was on time and arrival was 30 + minutes ahead of schedule which made our connecting flight very easy. I highly recommend EVA air."

Cons: "China Southern caters almost exclusively to the Chinese market and, essentially, operates like a gigantic bus for Chinese tourists making their way across the seas. At least 95% of the passengers were Chinese. Why does that matter? U.S. customer service is entirely absent. That means, things that you take for granted, like selecting your seat and getting your boarding pass on-line, is unavailable. Their website, such is it is, simply is not developed to the levels one would expect. We were unable to select our seats, get seats together, check on the status of the flight, check-in on-line, or get a boarding pass in advance. We essentially paid huge $$$ to a company then crossed our fingers that our reservation would be honored when we got to the airport. VERY STRESSFUL"

I asked for water for me, and tried to ask for water for the person next to me, but the crew member just ignored me. I asked her 6 times, and she just wouldn't pay attention to me, so the guy next to me didn't get water."

From my flight being delayed multiple times by air china to the overly packed united to the confusion of the non updated confirmation numbers or the e-ticket number. Even on the day I left upon arriving to the airport my confirmation number they had just given me after all the prior problems still didn't work. Air china had mediocre food with okay entertainment except my headset jack on the TV was broke and I couldn't watch anything. On the last air china flight from Bejing to Bangkok. I couldn't even charge my phone, watch any entertainment and basically was just stuck with no WiFi. Justfly wouldn't compensate for the changes on their end and said I myself would have to ask the airlines for compensation which the.the airlines directed me no where for compensation or even to upgrade my seat. Now I'm finally in Thailand but I'm scared of my return."

Cons: "Our flight was delayed which caused us to miss our international connection. Flight attendants did not care, did not attempt to get us out faster, or put on a different flight. Asked for an announcement to be made on board or to be moved to seats closer to the front so we could get off the plane quicker, did not happen. Offboarded and sprinted across the airport for our international connection and was notified by gate attendents that the gate closed five minutes ago and that they could not let us on the plane. Meanwhile, the plane sat there for an additional 30 minutes while it fueled and waited for release from air traffic control. There were six travelers total stuck there in San Fran at that gate, all of us begging to be let on the plane to Beijing, the last one for over 24 hours. Zero compassion from staff at the the airline gate. They did not care about us and did not care about leaving their travelers stranded. Our total travel was Denver to Bangkok, 26 hours of travel including layovers in San Fran and Beijing. In San Fran (after missing the gate connection), we were rerouted us through Haiwaii and the customer service agent that did this reroute did not finish the reroute to our final destination. We got to Haiwaii and were stranded again, at the Air China service desk for four hours having to once again provide documentation of our initial travel plans to Bangkok, having them build a new itinerary to our final destination. Overall, 20 additional travel hours have been added to our itinerary, almost double our initial travel time. We have had to call and cancel pre-arranged bookings in Thailand as we are now missing two full days off our trip. I am absolutely disappointed and heart broken as I write this still stuck in the Beijing airport waiting another six hours to connect to Bangkok. My fiancé and I were traveling to Thailand to get married and have received no compassion from anyone at this airline to try and get us there. I am flat out disgusted by Air China."

Pros: "Food was good. and more leg room. Also gave you a pillow and blanket. Of course the flight to China was a much larger airplane a Boeing 747, where flight to Sfo was a 737-800 and a smaller Air bus. All my flights made it to destination on time. Or close to it. You should plan on at least 1&1/2 hours between transfers. SFO was under staffed at security long lines, and empty desks. Beijing & Soul airports had smaller lines. The Visa free transit at Beijing worked well."
Cons: "Long time through customs and security especially when transferring from one plane to another. We had carry on luggage but still had to go through baggage claim and exit before transferring to the next flight."

Pros: "Courteous & professional. Provided information & snacks while waiting. If they devised a way to provide information & resources about connecting flights to each passenger, they would be at the top of their game."
Cons: "I had to pay to catch my connection with no way to document it, as it was an extreme rush & cash was the only way to get it done on the run. So I doubt I'll see any reimbursement. Airlines, Air China included, should try to provide better accommodations for delayed connecting passengers & not just leave it to airport ground crew or worse, passengers own resources. The only assistance provided was a couple crew directing with flight number signs from the arriving gate. But nothing further than that."

Cons: "I didn't like us taking the bus onto the plane from the tarmac. Luckily it wasn't raining or 10 degrees Fahrenheit like my last experience with air china in Beijing"

Cons: "Both flights from SFO to Beijing and from Beijing to SGN all are delayed, both at the gate and taxi out, food is very basic nothing fancy about it, same goes with drink, and in fact I don't expect much from them. I hope they will learn and compete with other asian airlines in the region, like Eva Air, or Singapore airlines."
