Pros: The Chinese people were wonderful! But I was required to pass thru security checks 3 times arriving. 3 times transiting and 3 times leaving. At customs, transit and departure. No common sense to their process only"letter of the law". For example I was taking beef jerky to my friends in Thailand but the Chinese security has a meat sniffing dog and they confiscated it as well as the girl in front of me More than $100 worth of jerky. They should have given it back at departure gate. I had to buy more in their duty free shop. Also they cancelled my flight without advising me but did get me on Thai airways later that day. Too much hassle to Transit China

Cons: The flights got delayed. One of the flights got delayed without a notice in advance.

Pros: The crew attention to the customer is top notch. I traveled with China Southern, Delta and Virgin Atlantic but by far Xiamen Air out performed them all.

Cons: The occasion freezing of the entertainment system must be addressed. I did inform the crew and they did try their best to resolve the issue without success.

Cons: the transit in Xiamen after my flight from Hong Kong it was 7 hours I have stay in xi amen. The promotion and/or advertisement saying that I have eight hotel for me to rest in Xiamen or a city tour. After I arrived there.all of those was saying nothing provided today. all I can have is leading me to a lough where just seats, tables for passenger to sit there. provided tea, water, Chinese made coke with natural temperature no ice . just sit there for 7 hours to wait for my connection flight to LAX

Pros: Actually had enough leg room; boarding and flight were well-managed and we arrived an hour ahead of schedule.

Cons: took them 70 minutes to provide me a headset for the entertainment. Boarding was sluggish. Crew was grumpy (and so was I). Seats were cramped. During meal service i was left with only the vegetarian option. They should provide more water/beverage rounds on a 12 hour flight.

Cons: It’s better If no delay 30 minutes.

Pros: The only good thing I can say about this experience with Hong Kong Airlines is that the On Board Flight Crew was very good and the IFE had a good selection of titles.

Cons: Delays in the air and on the ground going in and out of Hong Kong. On the return trip, 4hrs to Check In from Manila because of protests in Hong Kong. Flight was 2hrs late, my luggage didn’t make the connection. 2 days, no luggage, no communication. Never again will I fly Hong Kong Airlines.

Pros: Great service at check in, very nice flight crews.

Cons: I didnt like that Kayak.com said I had a return seat picked out. THEN went online to see I had no return seat even though one printed on e ticket. Had to call Hainan directly to fix it. Also didnt like that since I bought through Kayak.com I couldn't do 24 hour prior flight online check in. Only allowed to check in at the airport 3 hours prior to flight.

Pros: Amazing lady who worked at the counter. So fast and efficient. I’ve never seen such efficiency at any airline before. Thank you.

Pros: One of the crew couldn’t find extra pillows or blankets for my kids so they grabbed some from first class. I was very happy that they made the extra effort and looked passed the social economics of air plane seating class.

Pros: The Xiamen reps at the SGN airport was insensitive and arrogant. We were not able to board because of a misunderstanding on the China visa-free program. I still fully believe they are wrong. I had to book 2 new one way tickets with China Southern and wait all day at the airport.

Cons: I paid for the seats (thru justfly), but no seat for the second leg of our return trip were reserved for us. I also wanted to change seats (online, few days before the flight) but couldn’t. I asked China Eastern staff members at the airport and no one was willing/able to resolve my complaint.

Cons: Allow the passenger to watch the video and listen the audio as long as the entertainment system is on. I was asked to take the ear piece out before landing so I couldn’t hear the audio of the end of the movie.

Cons: DTW to FLL, plane was delayed coming from BOS to DTW 5 hours for BOS weather. The plane arrived & they announced they would turn it around ASAP. They started the boarding process & then stopped it stating that a crew member had timed out. Delayed hour to FIND one. Shortly after delayed overnight.

Pros: New plane A350. Lots of in-flight entertainment options. I like the external cameras. this flight was cheap and 50% full so i could actually sleep on three seats for this short hop.

Pros: The plane was new, the plane was clean, and all the airline hostesses were not 65 years old. Oh and everyone complaining about the visa requirements for China. Bend over a take one for the team like a man just Go to a travel agent in any in China Town. $100 US will get you a bias good for 10 years and it only take a week. Otherwise fly Delta for $1200.

Pros: Attentive crews, food on board - Food on board provides couple of choices of mainly Chinese food. I don't claim it to be extraordinary but it is far better than most of food other airlines provides in the economy class.

Cons: Without any explanation, Air China delayed my flight from Beijing to Hong Kong for 3 hours and ground staff still had an bad attitude toward hundreds of passengers asking questions.

Cons: I’m still at the airport. I haven’t gotten back to my final destination yet. The first flight got delayed and the second one left. Everything got messed up.
