Cons: "Didn't like a huge argument taking place between one family which held the flight up by at least 30 minutes. The crew were very patient with this family, but the passengers were not. I think the family should have been removed and asked to take another flight so that my flight could leave on time. It made everyone very nervous because we didn't know to what extent this conflict would escalate, so we had to sit listening to 3 or 4 members of the family arguing and constantly removing passports from luggage and going back and forth in and out of the plane. One member of this family actually entered the cockpit, which unnerved me because of the risks with terrorists these days. The family appeared to be of muslim descent."

Cons: "The flight was originally scheduled to leave Boston at 8:50 pm and I would get back to Tampa, FL at 12:03 am. I still had to drive an hour to get back to Sarasota which meant I would get home by 1:03 am. I figured that would still give me enough time to sleep before getting to work. Unfortunately, the flight was delayed and I didn't leave Boston until 10:30 pm and I got into Tampa around 2:10 am. I'm not happy that I got home at such a late hour since I had to be at work by 9 am."

Also the outlet at the gate didn’t work."

Flight from London - Chicago was delayed 6 hours. Of course missed connection in Chicago. Spent night in Chicago and arrived home 48 hours after leaving for Venice airport."

Cons: "Without any explanation...American Airlines cancelled my reservation! I needed to be sent back to poor quality hotel for a night and take a different flight out the next morning. American Airlines was supposed to provide transportation back and forth from the hotel however a car never showed up at the hotel to pick us up and I needed to get my own taxi at the last minute (American did however reimburse me for the taxi fare at the airport). I never received an explanation as to why my reservation was cancelled and was never offered any type of compensation for such a major inconvenience. They dd ultimately waive my 25 bag fee but it wasn't very easy to even get that from them. I felt that they should have been more empathetic towards my inconvenience and offered me any type of compensation to make up for such a horrible experience. When I asked about possibly being upgraded to first class they told me absolutely not! A little graciousness can go a long way, American Airlines showed that they could not care less about my inconvenience (other than Rodrigo at the counter the next morning who actually showed he was truly sorry for the situation and at least ended up moving me to a row with more legroom). Other than this, I was extremely disappointed with this experience and how it was handled."

Cons: "I didn't like the idea that I've had a four hour delay due to the fact that the airplane and DeRego showed up an hour late. There were no explanations and no apologies. I got to Dallas I was furious complain to customer relations. I at least wanted them to let me in to the admirals club so I could be comfortable for the next four hours. They refuse that but one lady at the customer relations apartment did give me a meal voucher which made me feel a little better."

Cons: "When first boarding the plane, the person I was with tried to close the shade on the window, the with frame and the first 2 pieces of glass popped out. We notified the flight attendant and his response was "can you stick your arm out the window and wave? No... ok you're fine" then we were notified the bathrooms in the middle of the plane were out of order and we could only use the bathrooms at the rear of the plane. There was no WiFi, and the audio system for the on board movies wasn't working. The flight attendants were only giving out cups of beverages and not the full can, which isnt a big deal but still looks bad on the airline considering everywhere flight with American has handed out full cans of soda. The perception was American dropped the ball on the his plane, and just didn't care to do the necessary maintenance. For the his head priced paid for the his hehe see tickets I would've expected better from a reputable airline. Needless to say we were a little disappointed."

We were told the plane had mechanical problems. The waiting area was so crowded with people it was people standing all over the place...it turned out that 2 flights full of people were waiting there. When we finally boarded, the plane had to be refueled and the plane had to be started up by being jumped or something because one motor was not working normallly; this was a bit frightening. Staff was not even smiling, or even comforting when we boarded. Brief apology by pilot."

Cons: "My family along with another family flew to Cancun for New Years vacation. The plane leaving from Denver was one hour late, boarding took forever and there was no communication regarding the issues. At least someone could have explained what was going on or why it was running late as to not leave us guessing. Upon our arrival in Cancun, my husband Never received his luggage. We filed a report and waited for it to arrive day after day. My husband spent HOURS of his vacation time trying to track down his luggage with little help. He spent HOURS on hold with Frontier which was also very frustrating to my family and our friends. His mother also made calls to Frontier with the same frustration and with no answers. My husband had medicine in his luggage along with all his clothes, many that were purchased for this trip as we don't travel often. We then had to spend lots of time and at least $800 purchasing new clothes--which was only a few t-shirts and a pair of shorts so he could enjoy the beach and our adventures. I could continue to complain, however, I refuse to waste anymore of my time with Frontier. Unfortunately this has been BY FAR the WORST Customer Service we have ever received. We are not ones to complain and have often given excellent customer service reviews. I am just thankful we made it there and back safely as that became a concern to us as well. I would highly recommend spending your money and time with another airline."

Pros: "Nothing. Frontier nickel and dimes you for everything. The only thing I didn't have to pay for was water. First time I had to ever pay for a carry on and it cost more than checked baggage. Absolutely ridiculous! I will never fly Frontier again. And 1 particular attendant was totally rude. I'll spend my money where it is better appreciated next time I travel."

Cons: "That I had to pay for everything, including a cup of coffee! And the tray tables were so small. It's a shame that first free meals were done away with, and now you can't even get a free cup of coffee or snack. And the excuse that your fares are cheaper than Delta, or other airlines, does not compute, because I still paid almost as much as a Delta flight would have cost."

Pros: "They only had one plane, it was weather delayed at its previous airport, then it ariver with mechanical problems. Customer service promised me the flight would be leaving that day, it ended up being cancelled. We were at the airport for 9 hours before they cancelled which meant that rebook in a flight on a different airline cost twice as much and was difficult and could only be done for the next day. Customer service was useless. The gate crews are third party contractors and can't do anything because of frontier's policies. I reported them to Dept of transportation and they keep sending the response that they have too many complaints to respond to and they wI'll get to it eventually."

Cons: "The increase of $10.00 (from $25.00 to $35.00) for my checked-in bag from my initial flight one week ago to my returning flight. There was no prior information of this increase."

Cons: "Flight was late for boarding. No updates were given as to why or what was going on. The gate agent looked like she had a miserable day and did not offer a customer service attitude. Once on board the seat didn't recline and was hard as a rock, not ideal for a 4 hour flight. The flight attendant (Christine) was short tempered. Crew lacked basic soft skills. This was the first and I am pretty sure the last time I will fly on frontier. While I appreciate the low fares I did not expect the low level of customer service or all the extra fees that are tacked on for seats, checked bags and a drink onboard."

Passengers were not offered any complimentary beverages or snacks to compensate for the inconvenience. Limited clarity was given concerning steps needed to board the next flight. The seats are hard, uncomfortable and do not recline. This is not my first negative experience with frontier but it will be the last."

Cons: "Beware of the $75 charge for bags over 50 lbs. We were not aware of this policy until checking the bags in at the counter. Would have been better to take two small bags rather than one big one. Because of this we will look for other airlines when booking in the future."

Cons: "My flight was supposed to land in Tampa at 8:20pm and didn't land until 2:30am the next morning. This was a delay and a wait all with a 7 month old child. no explanation as to why the plane was delayed almost 8 hours and they still try to get you to pay for food when on the plane? Absolutely ridiculous. Even though the plane ticket is initially cheaper, by the time you pay $40 per checked bag, "pay" for the hours of delay or cancellation and reschedule, stress that accompanies your feelings when flying frontier knowing how unreliable they are, it's not worth it. I would rather pay $150 more and know I'll arrive on time with little or no hassle. I won't be flying with them again if I can avoid it."

Upcharges for baggage were outrageous (an extra $100 for two 20-lb bags), but at least they got it all on the carousel fairly quickly once we arrived, thanks to TPA ground crew. Still, don't ever book a Spirit flight thinking you're done paying once you've purchased the ticket--that charge is only the beginning. Bags, seats, boarding time, food--it's all extra."

Pros: "Spirit is supposed to be discounted travel and many people paid very little for their flight - I foolishly paid a premium for my flights in July nobless thinking the cost would only increase toward Christmas. Then add the bags $31 each bag each way. Then add seats $17 each seat each way. Suffice it to say NOW I know. Additionally, you have to pay for drinks and the seats don't recline - rough at 6am. The flight crew was LOVELY, the takenoff and landing despite heavy snow was amazing. My ignorance is my only real complaint."

So on my way back to Tampa I didn't mention anything about a bag and it was free. I feel the representative should have told me it was free to take it on."

It was supposed to depart Detroit at 7:31am, we all had to get up at 4:30am to get ready and drive to the airport and it traveling with a 14 months old alone. So we get to the airport only to find out the flight has been delayed! They kept pushing it back further and it ended up being 2 hours delayed due to the fact they were 1 flight attendant short. My toddler was not happy having to sit at the airport for 3+ hours, never mind the fact she also had to get up at 5am. We sat at the last row and seats were very narrow and no leg room. We had to listen to the loud engine the entire time and strong smell of fuel during landing. My baby's ear hurt during landing and cried. I'm very unsatisfied with the flying experience with Spirit. Oh, our first flight was also delayed, from Tampa to Detroit, over 3 hours delayed! I don't think I'll be flying with sprirt again."

When I got to the spirit counter in Cancun, the staff lady told me she could not find my name, number or anything that would let her know that I had bought a return flight to Atlanta on spirit airlines. Those 5 stewards made my wife and i feel like we were sitting a bar poolside back in cancun on the strip. Not only that but these 5 stewards stayed in the very front of the plane, by my seat, talkin and eating their lunches the entire 90 minutes flight. Had this flight been longer than 90 minutes i may have actually said something to these vwry unprofessional new comers. Spirit airlines need to do some serious management control and better vetting of employees.. Will never fly spirit again. Seirously a very sad representation of their airlines."

Cons: "Couldn't check in through email like you can with Delta, got to the airport check in counter 45 mins before flight left but was told we'd have to wait 7 hours for the next flight and pay $200 to transfer the flight. We agreed because we had no other choice, but made it through security and to our gate in time to see people STILL boarding our plain and had to watch the plain leave while we just sat there waiting the 7 hours. Good customer service would've accommodated people who still had time to make the plain, and we will never use Spirit again. I hope they spend the flight transfer fee well because they'll never get money from us for tickets again."

Cons: "General ticket prices are so cheap because the airline doesn't openly broadcast their policy about carry on and checked bag fees. These are more expensive than any other airline I've flown with. I've never heard of an airline charge for carry on baggage which was very disappointing to say the least. This flight was a basic "no frills" trip, meaning that you get the bare minimum snacks, with a tiny seatback tray that isn't even big enough to hold an iPad. Won't be flying with Spirit Airlines again."

We ended up missing our connection and had to spend the night where we were. The only thing that was offered to us to help pay for the hotel was a voucher for the most expensive hotels in the area. Not only that but our carry-on bags cost us $200 for the entire trip, so make sure you take bag prices into account when flying with Spirit. Overall this was a very frustrating experience."

Cons: "I don't mind the bare fare, a-la-carte pricing. Its different but once I understood it, I could manage. On my flight to Ft. Lauderdale from Denver, I witnessed a male flight attendant being exceptionally rude to every person passing him while entering the plane. He then proceeded to belittle and talk down to each customer he talked to about moving jackets and correct placement of personal vs. carry on items. There was plenty of room in overhead bins once the plane was loaded. This flight attendant, talked to people as if we knew have rule he did and if they didn't he became aggressive and rude. At one point an older gentleman in his late 60's questioned what the rude flight attendant was saying and the attendant snapped. He screamed at the man and then threatened to have him removed for challenging what he said. I was afraid to ask for water or to even stand up because of how your flight attendant responded to an honest question. I have been flying for 30years and have never experienced such vile behavior on an airplane. The male flight attendant had brown hair was around 6ft tall, not big but not in good shape and wore glasses. I hope that he never is able to threaten people in flight again. The atrocious behavior i witnessed, has me never wanting to fly with spirit again. On the way home from Mexico, our flights were timed 1hr apart but yet it took 2+ hrs to go through customs. Do to this poor planning on behalf of spirit, we missed our flight and had to spend another unexpected night in Florida. I incurred charges for taxis, hotels, expensive food and missing work. When I spoke with spirit staff members they refused to help. One suggested I should pay money for a new flight. Its took me 5 employees to finally find someone who offered to fix the flights for the next day for no extra cost. I was offered no compensation for my inconvenience and time."

Cons: "This was my first time flying with Spirit, after hearing several negative comments about the company. It was an overall trrrible experience beginning with not being able to check in via mobile (paper tickets are outdated), followed by not being able to use my TSA Pre (had to wait in line for almost an hour when I've spent money so I don't have to). There was a malfunction with the plane where all passengers were removed after boarding. Flight was delayed by 2+ hours. There were other factors, but at this point they're not even worth mentioning. Never again!"

Cons: "Where to start... I understand the concept of a base fee and you pay a la carte for everything else but this only really works for a single person traveling with a small personal item ONLY. You are literally charged for EVERYTHING. Which is mostly stated on their website with the exception of the checked bag and carry on fees of $50 and $55, respectively. Those fees can vary depending on who you ask....And even though they say you can save by using the kiosk ($20 to go to the counter), we ended up going to the counter anyway because the kiosk could not complete our transaction!!! On our return, we had to go through customs which requires you to get your checked bag (decided to save the $5 and check it on the way home), go through customs and then drop off your checked bag to continue your flight. Well, the Spirit representative decided it would be a great time to take a break and be completely MIA from their post. We had to go completely out of the terminal and back to a counter to recheck our bag. Resulting in a very close call on not making our connecting flight. The long and short of it all: We "Saved" $100.00 total on the initial ticket purchase. We paid over $220.00 ADDITIONAL to have our one carry on and sit next to each other ($20.00 each seat, each leg of trip). Never flying Spirit again and have been telling everyone not to. Bad Spirit!"

Cons: "Nothing is complimentary, all snacks and drinks for purchase are inexcusably expensive when other companies provide for free, hefty fee for checked bags and carry-on 40-50$ paid to and from which makes up the difference for their cheap flights (not much cheaper than JetBlue or American) my luggage was left in the city I was visiting and when I asked for a refund for my returning checked bag fee, I was denied because I paid cash at check-in and it wasn't on my reservation (obviously I had paid to have it flown because it was supposed to go on board). All in all terrible experience and not worth the 25$ travel voucher I received--which doesn't even cover cost of luggage 1-way--because I'll honestly never fly spirit again."

Cons: "I feel robbed. I signed up for flight updates and tracked it's progress all day. At 10:30 last night the flight was still delayed to fly out until 12:55 am, so I took a screen cap with my phone and hopped in the shower. I ordered an uber and got to the airport at 11:30 pm. When I got to ticketing there was only one spirit airline employee, who informed me that the flight departed at 11:30 pm and there was nothing she could do. I basically donated 8 hours of my time plus the cost of the ticket to Spirit airlines and now still have to find my own way home. I will never use the company again."

Cons: "We prepaid luggage on-line and the check in at counter still took 30 minutes because employee at counter couldn't see proof on her end that we had pre paid. We traveled with our three kids under 8 and they would do nothing to seat us next to each other. We couldn't check in on-line so we were considered late check in, despite checking in at the airport 2 hours before the flight. We boarded and sat on the plane for an hour then deplaned due to faulty weather radar. 3 hour delay. Still no help to seat our family together. Very swaying and bumpy take off and landing. Seats don't recline. No drinks or snacks passed out, only for a charge. Cheapest airline ever. Will never fly again on Spirit. Flight home also delayed over an hour. Oh, and luggage max is 40, not 50 lbs., and they charge per bag per direction. They also charge you to book seats next to each other, despite us booking our flights months in advance and checking in 2 hours prior."

Pros: "The flight attendants salvaged the experience. I think weather delayed the flight, but the info provided before getting on the plane just made it seem like the pilots just weren't there. Couple that with discussion about how often Spirit is not on time a lot, led to a frustrating experience. Finish that off with boarding onto a plane that wasn't running, a/c was off and pilots still weren't there. Flight attendants jumped on it. Apologized for the inconvenience multiple times, kept everyone updated on efforts to get a/c started, passed out water, very friendly. Kudos also to the pilots who came in from Vegas and were supposed to be done for the day. They got on our plane and flew us to Tampa. I would guess that they didn't have to do that and if they had not, we may have been further delayed. I generally fly Delta. Had the on board experience not been what it was, I would be a one & done flyer with your airline. I will try you again based on the actions of those mentioned above."

I booked early so I could get a better deal. At the time of my refund tickets were $1000 each. Ruined my bachelor party weekend and the trips of the other 6 people that were traveling for the occasion. Will never fly or recommend Spirit airline again! Worst experience I have ever had and would gladly pay regular fares from a reputable airline in the future. It is just not worth it."

Pros: "The entire process was flawless. Plane was extremely clean, flight attendants very nice, even funny and mocking themselves a bit considering Spirit charges for EVERYTHING! The key to flying Spirit and not getting hit with large additional charges is to understand whats expected of you as far as baggage. Get this right and the rest of the experience is better than any other airline Ive had the displeasure of flying over the past 15 years. Apparently all passengers on this flight were well aware of the baggage limitations as boarding and exiting the plane once in Tampa went VERY quickly and rather than passengers getting bent out of shape during this process everyone was smiling! Havent seen this...ever!"
